Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Sehr sauberes Zimmer mit einer netten Terrasse; das Bad befindet sich in einem extra Raum, der nicht von anderen Leuten benützt werden darf. Man darf auch die Küche mitbenutzen. Parken frei an der Strasse u sehr guter Ausgangspunkt zum Erkunden der Insel u in Povoacao bekommt man, was man so braucht. Miguel, danke für den netten Aufenthalt !!

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gibt ausreichend Platz und auch der Außenbereich mit der Hängematte ist ein absolutes Highlight! Miguel hat mich sehr freundlich empfangen (Es gab sogar Wasser, einen kleinen Likör und Kekse!) und war auch den ganzen Aufenthalt über jederzeit ansprechbar, wenn man Fragen hatte. Ein späterer Check-in war problemlos möglich. In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich ein Supermarkt und ein sehr gutes Restaurant an einem wunderschönen Platz im Ort! Ich kann diese Unterkunft jedem empfehlen!

The host was absolutely amazing - we had difficulties in reaching the island due to the fog, our flight was cancelled and we have arrived only 4 days later. Even though he didnt have to - Miguel was in constant communication with us, checking the weather, providing moral support 💜 one of the kindest people I met, happy to help, provide guidance and give valuable information about the Island and possible attractions. The place was great - the room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. Kitchen had everything we needed to make yourself some breakfast. The view from the balcony was beautiful. There is a shop 1 minute away from the apartment and there was always a parking place in front of the house. We booked a different room but Miguel was kind enough to give us a different one. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and if we ever come back - it would be only here! Thank You Miguel for everything! 🙏

He went far beyond what one would normally expect, sharing his local knowledge, helping me discover the beauty of the island, and even taking extra time to show me some of its hidden gems. The room was calm and featured a lovely terrace. Staying here offers an authentic experience of life in a traditional Azorean home, shared with the family. The accommodation includes a single room and single bathroom and access to a shared kitchen. Despite living under the same roof, the family was always considerate of my privacy. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Azores.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Der Besitzer hat uns sehr freundlich begrüßt und alles wichtige erklärt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett sehr bequem. Die Lage war außergewöhnlich gut. Supermärkte, Restaurants und der Hafen sind in kürzester Zeit fußläufig erreichbar. Auch die Terasse mit Wäscheleine war super hilfreich.
Das Zimmer verfügt leider nicht über eine Klimaanlage. Diese wäre während unseres Aufenthalts durchaus sinnvoll gewesen, da sich das Zimmer recht stark aufgeheizt hat. Tagsüber war es schwierig Parkplätze vor der Tür zu finden. Abends war es kein Problem.

Un détail minime, qui fait que nous n'avons pas mis la note de 10 : la douche basse de plafond et fermée par un rideau en plastique, peu pratique et peu esthétique, qui jure avec l'aspect général de la salle de bain.

Miguel est très prévenant et s'attache à ce que tout soit parfait pour nous recevoir. La chambre est spacieuse et la litterie de très bonne qualité. En prime un petit balcon pour se poser et manger.

Reviewed May 9, 2025Le logement se trouve au dessus de celui du propriétaire. La cohabitation s est très bien passée, nous n’avons eu que des contacts furtifs et amicaux. Le logement n’a pas de propre porte mais cela ne dérange en rien. L’espace salle de bain et chambre sont quand à eux avec une porte. Vous avez donc tout l’étage pour vous avec tous les équipements nécessaires.
La literie est un peu ferme mais ce n’est qu’une remarque personnelle quant à mes habitudes.

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und bekamen Maracujas geschenkt :) Die obere Wohnung hat einen kleinen, gemütlichen Balkon und alles ist passend eingerichtet, mit Liebe zum Detail. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt :) ein kleiner Supermarkt war quasi nebenan.

The bathroom was not excellent. It became a little old, but still good. A fridge in the room would be nice. To cool down the wine. But we could use the fridge in the kitchen. So everything was nice.

I would recommend to add a fan in the room (but to be honest we haven’t asked Miguel so maybe there’s one) Other than that, it was just perfect! Thank you!

Reviewed Aug 27, 2024Everythig was more than nice. Miguel is really great host. His house is in the centre of the village. You have a grocery store just 2' from the house. On the other hand, main square with a lot places to have a drink or eat are just 5' from the house. You also have nice beach with black sand here in the village of Povoacao. Miguel helped us a lot. He gave us a lot of tips what to see and not to miss on the island. Instead of a booked room, he gave us a whole loft for us, so we had more privacy. We would be happy if we ever go back to São Miguel and Miguels nice home in Povoacao.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2024La limpieza en este alojamiento es lo principal, la hija de Miguel muy agradable a la hora de hacer el check in. La habitación que nos tocó tenía una cama grande un armario con gran espacio y una terracita con una mesa y sillas.
Incómoda un poco el hecho de vivir con los dueños de la casa. Ya que nosotros hubo días que llegamos tarde y nos teníamos q duchar porque llegábamos de las termas. Era un poco incomodo en ese sentido.

Reviewed May 27, 2024This is a very good place to stop as it has everything you might need - comfortable conditions, household appliances, Wi-Fi, etc. The owner is very friendly and always ready to help. More than a month has passed since our trip and we remember with pleasure the time spent there! Povoação is a small town, but very cozy, where you will find restaurants and opportunities for walking.

Reviewed May 22, 2024El piso era muy bonito, muchos detalles y teníamos una planta entera para nosotros. Teníamos sofá, cocina, frigorífico, microondas y todo lo que necesitarías para cocinar, un baño y el dormitorio. No se escuchaba, no casi te cruzabas con el resto de los inquilinos de la casa. Fue una estancia muy cómoda y estuvimos muy a gusto. El propietario fue muy amable en todo momento.
Los colchones eran bastante nuevos, sin embargo eran muy duros y no estamos acostumbrados a esa dureza y ese tipo de almohadas. Depende de gustos..

Reviewed May 17, 2024Une grande chambre, une salle de bain/toilette, une cuisine équipée ouverte au salon, un balcon. Emplacement Propreté Spacieux Calme Confort Place de parking tout autour de la maison Miguel, l'hôte de la maison a été d'une très grande sympathie et de très bon conseils pour pouvoir voir les plus beaux endroits de l'île. Il a était très discret qu'on se croyait seul dans l'appartement maison situé au 1ère étage avec aménagement tout équipé. Malgré que nous n'ayons pas pu trop échangé car nous étions en visite et lui au travail, il ne rendait disponible par whatsapp si nous avions besoin.
RAS hormis que l'appartement du haut est uniquement séparé par un escalier mais ce n'est qu'un détail qui ne nous a pas forcément dérangé.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2023La cama es grande y muy cómoda, está decorado con gusto moderno y no le falta detalle. Baño propio, cocina equipada, terraza, espacioso… es fantástico. Esta bastante céntrico en el pueblo, cerca de bares y de un supermercado, además del puerto.
El único pero es la ubicación en la isla, Furnas está muy cerca, pero al estar más alejado de Ponta Delgada las carreteras tienen muchas curvas, infinitas, y llegar a cualquier lugar es tener que cruzarlas. Eso si, esto nos permitió ver paisajes espectaculares en las carreteras.

The apartment of our stay was not the same as the one promoted in the picture. While Miguel is great at guaranteeing privacy, our accomodation had no doors to separate the room from the rest of the house. This is our main minus for the place, which otherwise is great.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2023Der Gastgeber war sehr hilfsbereit und hat bis spät in die Nacht auf unsere Ankunft gewartet. Er war jederzeit per WhatsApp erreichbar und hat und wertvolle Tips gegeben. Auch wenn das Zimmer innerhalb des bewohnten Hauses lag, war es zu jeder Tages und Nachtzeit still. Auch weitere Gäste im Obergeschoss haben wir weder gesehen noch gehört. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und modern mit eigener Terrasse. Das Badezimmer hatten wir ganz für uns alleine! Die Lage war hervorragend. Mitten im Zentrum und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Meer und Restaurants entfernt. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut empfehlenswert. Gerne wieder!

Reviewed Jul 12, 2023Nádherný apartmán, který předčil naše očekávání. Původně jsme očekávaly jen pokoj ale nakonec jsme měly v podstatě apartmán s balkónem. Ubytování bylo krásně zařízené a plně vybavené. Majitel byl velmi příjemný a ochotný a dal nám spoustu tipů na výlety. Určitě doporučuji.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2023Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet, ruhig und hat eine tolle Lage im Zentrum der Stadt. Es gibt viele Restaurants und Cafés in der Nähe. Zu Fuß kann man in 2-3 Minuten die Küste erreichen. Der Besitzer ist ein netter Mann. Er ist sehr gastfreundlich, hilfsbereit und gibt tolle Tipps.
