best guest house in galle I think , the people were so good , they always smile . all the places on walking distance , the beach , fort., watch tower , clock tower , supermarket everything .. we enjoyed our galle day a lot . thanks ❤️ room was so clean , bathroom was so clean . everything is top notch..

Mrs Wijenayake is a wonderful host and her staff are all lovely and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble but you need to remember that this is a privately run guest house not a hotel. The location in the Fort is excellent. If you decide to have breakfast, its unlikely you will need a big lunch. We stayed 4 days and the breakfasts were superb and uniquely Sri Lankan. Bed was big and comfortable and a/c works well. This is proper bed and breakfast Nothing is too much trouble.

The stars to our room were a bit of a challenge with luggage but we were helped without prompting.

We booked a room here at very short notice due to having to leave our other accommodation unexpectedly. We arrived within half an hour of booking and yet everything was ready for us. The owner and young lady hosting were so welcoming and kind to us, and although the room was basic it was super clean and had everything we needed. The location was brilliant for exploring Galle Fort and we were straight into the restaurants/shops and yet it was a peaceful nights sleep with very little noise. The kids loved the games in the main kitchen area the next morning and we were offered breakfast which looked delicious. It was so cheap for the 5 of us for 1 night, rally good value for money.

Very close to the street so a little road noise but Galle is a pretty quiet town after sundown so it didn’t really effect our stay. The early morning peacock on the roof opposite was all we heard.

Posizione top, a un minuto a piedi dal forte! Colazione abbondante a buffet. Camera spaziosa con baldacchino, abbiamo dormito benissimo! Gentilezza infinita dello staff che ci ha permesso di usare ancora la stanza dopo il check out perché abbiamo preso la pioggia ed eravamo bagnati. Grazie davvero!!!

Fantastic location and very friendly staff.

Very kind and welcoming people. We checked-in around 11:30 and room was ready. Rooms are clean with A/C. The breakfast is amazing, fruits and homemade products prepared when you arrive. Position too is perfect to visit the city. In other word, an amazing stay considering the price for a room.

La localisation est parfaite pour visiter Galle. L'accueil est chaleureux, il a même pris de nos nouvelles après notre départ pour s'assurer que tout allait bien. Nous n'avons pas pris les petits déjeuners sur place mais tout est facile d'accès à 2 pas pour manger ou prendre un verre.

Das Frühstück, welches wir zusätzlich gebucht haben, war mit das Beste auf Sri Lanka! Die Lage ist zentral und ruhig. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft schon erwartet und freundlich empfangen.

Galle Fort st im Vergleich zum übrigen Sri Lanka ein teures Pflaster. Entsprechend teurer war auch die Unterkunft. Aber das wussten wir ja vorher. Das ist eigentlich der einzige negative Punkt, lässt sich in Galle aber kaum vermeiden.

Son emplacement dans la vieille ville, le bâtiment était très joli et typique.

L’accueil était très moyen avec un fruit Juice de mauvaises qualité ( le seul établissement parmi les 6 où nous avons logé, à ne pas proposer un jus de fruit frais fait maison ) L’hôte nous a fait payer dès qu’on est arrivé et devait nous rendre la monnaie. Il a fallu que je le sollicite plusieurs fois pour avoir cet argent. Personne n’était présent dans l’après-midi ou le soir pour qu’on puisse se faire rembourser. Le propriétaire nous a fait comprendre qu’il n’était pas content.

I had a pleasant stay here. While the room was on the smaller side and the amenities felt a bit aged, everything was in perfect working order. The shared kitchen, which included a water cooler, was a convenient feature, and guests could easily make a quick coffee or tea there. This guesthouse was one of the most budget-friendly options in the area and offered excellent value at the time of my booking. Located near the end of the fortress and close to the lighthouse, the guesthouse was in a quieter part of town while still within walking distance of the train station.

The edge of the mattress was a bit saggy.

L'accueil s'est très bien passé, j'ai apprécié recevoir des conseils à propos de la gare et que tout soit clair dès le début pour faciliter le check out que je devais effectuer très tôt. Je ne suis pas restée longtemps à Galle mais l'emplacement était parfait pour pouvoir visiter le centre historique, profiter de l'ambiance de la ville le soir et rentrer dormir à pieds sans aucun souci !

L'accueil est peu chaleureux comparé aux autres hôtels que nous avons fait et la chambre un peu petite. Le prix est cher pour le sri lanka mais on paye l'emplacement à l'intérieur du fort.

It was spotlessly clean and in a great location in the fort. The staff were kind and very helpful. Really nice breakfast. Good value for money.

It feels worn in places, e.g. rust in the bathroom. There were quite a few ants in the room and bathroom, also on the terrace. There was a lot of noise very late into the night on both nights I stayed. Not the guesthouse’s fault - there were signs asking to keep quiet so not sure what else they can do.

Great location in Galle old fort. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good size rooms and great breakfast.

Found the walks a bit thin and heard lots of loud talking from next door room. Did not get a good sleep as a result.

Breakfast was massive - while amazing I dont think they need to offer us that much! Staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful carryng bags etc. Perfect location! Right in the middle of things. Room was comfortable and had all that we needed - I requested two beds which was acomoodated.

Friendly guest house in a quiet area of Fort Galle. The rooms are small but comfortable, with an enjoyable balcony for sitting out. I like that the kitchen is open for tea and coffee any time. Breakfast is excellent. A good recommendation.

Clean room . Outdoor spaces to sit . The best breakfast i have had in Sri Lanka. I couldn't eat the whole thing. They are very generous with it. Anyway. There is free coffee, tea and water to be have had in their kitchen.

The rooms are functional. But they compensate it by the outdoor seatings.

They have a common kitchen, where one can make one's own coffee/tea or refill water. I liked the place very much since we make coffee at late night and enjoyed siting in the common space. The best part is they give us the key of main door so that we can come and go out whenever we want.

Bathroom accessories and the comforter can be improved.

Super Lage im Fort drinnen. Unglaubliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis vor allem das Frühstück war wirklich viel und sehr sehr gut! Eine super funktionierende Klimaanlage und Warmwasser zum Duschen. Sehr nettes Personal und netter Aufenthaltsraum wo man sich immer Wasser auffüllen kann und Tee machen etc.

Fantastic hosts who were friendly and went above and beyond when I arrived late & accommodated me throughout the day when I had a 2am flight the next day, they also helped arrange a very comfortable and cheap transfer. Large, clean room - great value and exactly what I expected. Thank you for your hospitality!

We would highly recommend this hotel/ guest house . The rooms were so clean the location was excellent . Breakfast was delicious. All the staff including the manager were super helpful and friendly the went above and beyond. I can’t recommend this place enough .

It’s in a great location for exploring Galle Fort! The room was clean and it was quiet. The breakfast was huge and delicious!

Wir waren eine Stunde zu früh vor Ort, durften aber freundlicherweise unser Gepäck schon in der Unterkunft abstellen. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist optimal, umgeben von zahlreichen schönen Cafés und Restaurants sowie Geschäften aller Art. Super Ausgangspunkt, um Galle Fort zu erkunden! Wir haben die Duschtüre sehr geschätzt, die verhindert, dass man (wie in den meisten anderen Unterkünften Sri Lanks) das ganze Badezimmer unter Wasser setzt ;) Es gibt eine gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche, die wir sehr sauber vorgefunden haben.

Sehr wenig Platz in den Zimmern, aber bei dem günstigen Preis und der Top Lage ist das zu vernachlässigen. Für längere Aufenthalte eventuell weniger geeignet.

非常专业而且热情的酒店团队，从设施到制度都非常完整，室内干净整洁，有空调、风扇、蚊帐、吹风机、热水，早餐非常丰盛，我们离开的时候还碰巧赶上了酒店的会议，感受很好。在古堡内部，去哪都很方便！楼顶还能晒衣服太棒了，我们用第二天的一整个上午时间晒干了全部衣服。楼下红双喜中餐馆非常符合中国口味。旁边的屋顶和电线杆上还能看到小松鼠和孔雀。

This is a historic, well-maintained building in the very center of Galle. The rooms are very small and simple, but clean and tidy. For 1-2 nights it's perfectly OK and the location is excellent. It is worth ordering breakfast — it is very good.
