Reviewed Aug 10, 2026We had an amazing stay! The house was modern and had everything we needed, the underfloor heating in the bathroom felt luxurious. Comfy spaces and beds, AMAZING ocean views! We saw the milky way and so many stars both nights. Very quick drive to town as well. Highly recommend staying here.

Just needed a salad bowl and a couple of baking dishes but otherwise we'll catered.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2025The views are exceptional, and quiet place. We like the floor heating in the bathroom. It is a bonus for us to look at the stars and milkly way at night.
I would suggest the driveway may need some love, some spots are uneven and slippery. It would be great to improve the ventilation for the small toilet room.

Reviewed May 17, 2024Lovely location with stunning views over the ocean. Clean. Good sheets and bedding. Kitchen well equipped. The heat pump was on when we arrived so the house was pleasantly warm. Nice outdoor sitting area although we arrived fairly late so didn't really get any benefit from that. Bathroom a bit dated but had everything you needed.

Reviewed Feb 21, 2024The view is breathtaking 😍 ✨️ especially at the sunset and the sunrise. Absolutely loved the place!!! There's only one thing to be aware of: The driveway was steeper than we thought and was also curved, so we could not take our boat to the top with a 2WD van and had to leave it at the bottom of the driveway-luckily was plenty of space. So, if you come on holiday with a boat, a 4WD is a must, as there's no chance of washing the engine at the marina and we couldn't find any possibilities of doing it elsewhere in Kaikoura. Other than that, it is one of the best places we stayed at!!! Highly recommend!

Having the one bathroom for four people isn't the best, but it's definitely doable. The fact that this is the one thing I could think of speaks volumes about the place.
