Reviewed Jul 15, 2025The villa is spacious, clean and tidy, beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is also close to Grand Baie beach and downtown (including grocery stores).
However: 1) An SUV is recommended to access the property as you have no other choice than using an unpaved road with rocks and potholes to get to the villa (located in a gated community). 2) The bottom of the pool was dirty, and the pool does not seem to be regularly maintained (at least it was not during our one-week stay). 3) Customers’ privacy and safety did not seem to be one of the property manager’s priorities and this was quite problematic. The property manager did not inform us (and there is no house manual) that the villa would be cleaned during our stay (which is a great perk btw). We were disturbed twice by the cleaning person who came inside the villa without notice or even ringing the bell. The first time, she woke us up on our first morning and it was a very scary feeling, hearing the presence of someone in the villa. The second time is not acceptable and unprofessional as we asked the property manager to let us know if someone had to enter the villa again, but she did not. Otherwise, the villa is great and could easily be rated 10/10 provided there is a better access to the gated community and better management (a house manual could help a lot in this respect).
