Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The property was warm and comfortable. It could do with a bit of tlc in some areas but this didn’t distract from our enjoyment. We have been told that a refurbishment is planned for January. We. Will definitely go back to see the changes.
There was nothing that shouted out at all.
Excellent location
No car parking available
Location was perfect. I took my 92 year old father on holiday. The hotel accommodated his electric scooter. Nothing was too much trouble.
We booked through a third party as half board. We did not realise this meant there was a cost limit in the restaurant at night. We just assumed it meant a 3 course meal at night.
Location, clean, helpful staff
Bathroom small, only shower over the bath, tea & coffee supplied in the bedroom was very poor both in quality and quantity. The coffee supplied at breakfast was awful.
Breakfast ok. Good location.
Uncomfortable bed. My wife and I hardly slept a wink and spoilt our stay. Car parking a problem.. Room looked jaded. Dinner poor value for money.
Everything
Excellent location plus very friendly staff and easy check in..
Not anything I didn't like..
On my first breakfast, It was my first time in the Wedgewood room! I thought the 'hot' breakfasts were only warm. I found the coffee with breakfast to be far superior to that made in individual rooms.
I thought the mattress while large/thick could have done with 'turning round' as it was very low on the side near the window in room 402, which was also used for watching the excellent tv.
Location, lovely hotel.
Room two small felt like we were sleeping in the loft, stayed here before, but this time room was awful.
St George's is a great hotel with lovely rooms. The location is superb. The customer service at St George's is outstanding with professional, friendly staff. We had a fabulous meal in the restaurant.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent for shops and restaurants and the pier.
The interior condition and decoration of the hotel was very dated and tired and in much need of refurbishment. The same goes for the room we were allocated.
As camas são bem confortáveis
Just a lovely old hotel but with lots of modern touches like a/c in bedrooms -very clean
Nothing
Location, staff
Chewy steak, limited choice and expensive room service menu, blocked shower drainage, unclean underneath coffee cups in room (underneath the metal stand that they were stood on)
Both excellent
Handrails in bathroom
The location and our room was amazing- we had a suite and it was excellent for my mum and daughter. Absolutely enormous bed and a lovely sofa bed. You can’t get a better location - right on the seafront and the town center literally around the corner. Really kind and attentive staff. We all loved the balcony! The car park was full when I arrived but I managed to find a space right in front of the hotel.
My mum said she found a few dog hairs on the table where the kettle and biscuits are when we’d arrived - we were really not bothered and I didn’t think to mention it to anyone as we quickly forgot and loved our room but she noticed. I know some people have allergies so just making you aware.
Excellent location (beach is just across the road) and great place to base yourself to explore the nearby area. Immaculate hotel, attention paid to cleanliness. Staff attentive and sought to make sure that our stay was made special. Food was tasty and we had a choice from a small but delicious menu, no complaints whatsoever. We also enjoyed an afternoon tea which was special. We’ll be definitely coming back soon.
Very helpful staff who were willing to Severedo whatever they could to ensure a comfortable stay. Very clean and comfortable hotel with excellent, slightly expensive restaurant.
Severe lack of parking space with one adjacent street restricted to 90 mins and no return whilst main road was £10 for full day or £4 for 4hrs. Free from 4pm to 10am if you could get a space. Thought I had covered meal expenses with booking half board but only found out on arrival that it just meant £32 per person allowance for dinner and menu prices meant it was almost impossible to get a two course meal without exceeding the allowance.. Both breakfast and evening meals were well cooked and presented as buffet style breakfast was plated for each customer. Unfortunately the parking charges and distance from hotel where I had to park overnight wee a problem for me as was the additional cost of dinner when I was not told half board was my a nightly allowance and unlikely to cover cost of two courses never mind 3
Excellant
Location and staff
My room was 206, a double room, the room was very basic, it did not reach my expectation at all The food was costly and really not up to the mark
Lovely location. Old fashioned charm
The meals varied considerably, with some being much better value and great quality (eg the roast) and others very small and lacking in protein.
Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful old hotel , excellent friendly staff , great food and great value
Breakfast service was a little chaotic but it was bank holiday Monday
Location
I thought for the price we paid per night there was nothing really exceptional about it. I have stayed in hotels which in my opinion were nicer for a lower price.
Position
1st bedroom was poky and so dark even in bathroom, for a woman nowhere to put on makeup. Complained and moved no problem. New room equally dark but had a good sized window so that helped, but struggled in bathroom with contact lenses. This is a resort for older visitors, bathroom really dangerous in many ways!!! Hotel tired and drab. Threadbare carpets in some places. It is an old hotel, but no charm or feel of quality you expect from 4 stars. Staff were pleasant but really disappointed in my stay.
-David called us to go through the booking. On our arrival David great at making sure we knew where everything was and gave recommendations -Food and service was perfect. -We have booked again

Lovely seafront property with a great atmosphere and very attentive staff. I took my mum who is in a wheelchair and it has plenty of space and disabled toilets.
The parking was a little bit tricky to find around the back of the building on arrival.
We loved how clean it was & the location
Nothing
It is a nice seaside resort. Old grandeur.
No fridge in the room. Limited isolation, so bit noisy. The breakfast can be very busy.
The rooms where comfy and the breakfast was really good
Excellent location Good food Pleasant staff Spotless room
We were in room 207, pity about the view!!
Bed was comfy.
Room wasn't ready for early check in. Not enough tea and coffee in room. Chips were cold evening meal, coffee was cold at breakfast. Apart from sea view nothing else seemed deluxe in room.
Lovely stay, location, and all staff were excellent giving us the best service Expensive, but worth it..
Cleanliness, service, and close to the lovely prom
Location, decor, staff all excellent
Only criticism was at breakfast and the scrabbled eggs tasted weird but that's it
Service and food very good change in menu would be nice
Same menu each night
Was an amazing stay fantastic hotel, food was beautiful room was lovely and couldn't fault the staff they were lovely.
It was a fabulous hotel, great staff and in a fantastic location
Unfortunately, we were in a room over the car park, which wasn't an issue, but we were by the kitchen extraction fan, which came on a 6am, and was quite loud
Great location, right on the water front within 2 minutes walking distance to the town centre, pier and arcades. Fabulous looking hotel, plenty of rooms and some parking onsite. The rooftop rooms have their own designated space that the staff lower the bollards upon arrival. This was not listed in the booking (we had booked a rooftop room) and we lost £4 for parking as we did not know until checking in. The rooftop room was fabulous, huge space with a balcony. Huge bed, sofa bed, coffee table and 2 chairs. Tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board, mini fridge. Bathroom with bath separate shower, 2 sinks, toilet and lots of space. Bathrobes and slippers. We booked this room as we had our 2 children (6 and 4 years old) with us and we had plenty of space for all of us. Dining room and breakfast available within the hotel.
This is personal preference and no reflection on the hotel. The bed in the rooftop room, both my husband and I found it too soft. We both felt like our legs were higher than our bodies and had a restless night. Perhaps it’s due for a new mattress. The duvet. The rooms are air conditioned but there was a huge thick duvet on our bed that was just too warm considering it’s summer. My two children sharing the sofa bed had a small double duvet to share that didn’t really cover the bed that well and it was thin so i couldn’t have the air con on colder. The rooftop rooms are noisy in bad weather conditions. It was quite windy the night we stayed and found that the wind was making the roof/walls creak so we struggled to get to sleep. We did not dine in the restaurant for our evening meal. It was quite expensive and the menu did not have what we needed to suit the whole family. Breakfast was ok. Continental food available and the selection was ok. Pastries, cereals (but only a small choice) yoghurts, jams, honey, fruit, toast facilities (you have to make your own!) juices, water. Buffet style hot food that was served (odd but I suppose it stops people taking too much). The scrambled egg was awful but all the other foods were tasty. Could order more food from the kitchen at a supplement.
Lovely hotel in fabulous location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and food was great.
Nothing
Break with our teenage grandchildren.Rooms were lovely . Breakfast tasty 😋. We were all happy f
Fantastic position, great food and really friendly staff.
We had to quite a bit extra to pay elsewhere as there weren't any spaces available at the hotel.
Perfect location, friendly staff, on the reception snd at breakfast, beautifully decoratad breakfast room with stunning palace like cealing features
room was not clean to the standard i would expect at 4 star hotel, mould in the bathroom old outdated skitrings which were screaming for a touch of paint. also we specifically asked for baby cot snd ee only received cot frame, there was no matress, just hard deck wrapped in bedsheets. this is not acceptable we came with 10 weeks old baby and had to use older daughter duvet to make cot workeable for its function. when you are going to the room you expect full bed to sleep on not just a bed frame so why this was so different for little one- i dont know. Strongly disapointed on this point.
Staff were superb. Great location. Excellent breakfast. Rooms comfortable
Minimal parking so had to use a town car park but most properties/hotels in this area are like that
Staff were excellent Food great Location excellent
Hotel nice staff friendly
We stayed on half board £32 allowance for dinner ,how they work your bill out is a nightmare we had to sort it out ourselves as they overcharged us twice , something so simple became so complicated as they didn't have a clue
The breakfast was ok and the room towels changed every day and the sheets changed in the middle of the week witch was good
the food coming out of that kitchen for lunches and dinners was not nice the veg the meat the chips was rubbish i asked for soup main meal and sweet when the food came they gave me sweet first the second evening i asked for soup and main meal when the food came both meals came together
Location and the staff went the extra mile ! The shower and bathroom in my room was excellent too!
Nothing!
My one quibble is the lack of electrical sockets in the room. There was just one that was reachable, while another lay behind the TV cabinet, which I had to drag out of place in order to plug my electrical item in. People need to charge multiple gadgets these days, and a modern hotel should be able to accommodate that need. Other than that everything was great!
Lovely hotel. Very friendly & helpful receptionists/staff. Room clean & comfortable, mattress good. Buffet breakfast nice.
Shower glass not wide enough to stop floor being soaked!! Restaurant manager had changed menu which caused waiting staff problems. Incorrect order delivered. I had finished meal when vegetables came. Couple behind us waited over an hour for their main 😘
Good customer service, room and breakfast
Limited parking, non available when I came. I had to park on the road
We loved our room. The balcony was fabulous. We loved sitting out in the evening in our bathrobes (provided) sipping a drink and admiring the beautiful view. The complimentary ice cream on arrival was a nice touch and the hotel povided an anniversary card for us and an anniversary treat. We appreciated that so much!
Nothing, we liked everything.
The room was lovely and we could see the sea, very central location
Someone sat at our table this morning when we had gone to get our breakfast, they obviously had not booked in for breakfast as we were allocated that table.
Friendly reception staff. Rooms lovely & breakfast room beautiful and amazing breakfast as well.
Great location.. nice food and staff .. The only downside was the breakfast room is awful but we moved to the lounge over looking the sea
Breakfast room
Been a few times.very good x

Spent four nights here in August with my elderly mum who walks with difficulty. The hotel is in a great location on the sea front and the Promenade is nice and flat. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The Rooftop rooms are lovely and spacious with nice additional touches and have wonderful sea views from the balcony. The bathroom was large and accessible. We enjoyed the food on the Dinner Bed & Breakfast package. This was our third visit and I’m sure we’ll be back.
Our 6th stay at this lovely hotel which is in a great location with friendly staff and an excellent breakfast .
Beautiful building at the heart of Llandudno seafront, a real spectacle on arrival with traditional very well kept architecture and the red carpet to the entrance. Friendly welcoming staff on a simple check-in, comfortable room and bed.
Our room was above the Ishia bar which had incredibly loud entertainment late afternoon which meant it wasn't very relaxing trying to have 10 minutes before heading back out for the evening. Tv in room had a fault but otherwise a great stay.
The location and staff very good
Nothing to do in the evening. The bedroom was too small for 3 adults. Also there was dust on picture frames and lights. Also the light sockets were awkward to get to. Considering this was a treat for my mum's 90th birthday I was disappointed with our stay.
Comfortable room, excellent breakfast
Nothing
The location
The room was small and pokey no view from window bed was uncomfortable room not maintained properly menus were very limited and repetitive the roast of the day became the roast of week and service was slow waited 45 minutes for a bowl of soup
Excellent location. Staff very friendly
We paid an additional £150 for an executive sea view room (for my 87 year old gran as a treat). It could barely be classed as “sea view”. there is absolutely no view of the sea from the window, however off the en-suite there is a door which leads to a balcony (with 4 steep downwards steps), on the balcony there is a sideward view of the sea. Completely unusable for my gran, because of the steps and the weather. We would’ve preferred a classic room and to have saved the money, as it wasn’t a small price increase.
Location was key for us, staff were so helpful, we had basic room but it was plenty big enough, clean and tidy. We had a discount deal so value was excellent.
The only tiny disappointment was the cocktail I was served ... not the best, but in fairness to senior barman it was soon corrected.
Liked how close it was to everything. Liked how clean it was. It was comfortable. The air con was good. The staff were polite. We changed rooms as the one we was given didn't have a bath which is what we were expecting. So if you want a bath I'd suggest you ask for this in advance as it depends on availability at the time if you can change rooms.
Not enough spaces to park. The telephone to ring reception wasn't working. This wasn't fixed even after we informed the receptionist. The staff serving the cooked breakfast was rude , had to go find someone to get a cup of tea or coffee,We didn't get enough tea and coffee condiments for our stay. Missing items off the cooked breakfast, didnt have any salt in the shaker, was given cold toast one and a and a half slices, which we paid extra for and arrived late. The prices were too expensive for drinks. Unless you want to pay just short of £25 for two doubles with flat off the draft pepsi,no other coke options available. The menu was limited so didn't eat in the restaurant on the evening. The lighting in the room isn't very bright. No plug sockets next to the bed only the other side of the room. Was let down by the hotel as was booked for a special occasion and I paid alot for the stay, I expected all our needs met. Paid for a balloon, chocolates and champagne to be in the room. The balloon deflated the next day.
Both lovely
We enjoyed our stay. The food was tasty and the staff friendly.
Very clean and good quality breakfast
Nothing
Perfectly situated. Very nice breakfast. Top class
N/A
Friendly staff good location
Nothing
The location, and the comfort of the hotel.
Nothing to dislike!😊
Location
Lack of customer service- lacked friendliness
Bed comfortable
Booking com photo on sea glimpse named rooms shows a window with nothing outside suggesting as it is called ‘ sea glimpse ‘ but the view is of tall Victorian hotel opposite so was very misleading so others that book on this assumption be alerted
Close to the beach.comfortable stay.friendly staff and excellent breakfast
Very nice hotel, good food and all the staff were excellent. Buffet breakfast with everything you could want in a stunning dining room. We have stayed twice in a classic room which is great and the bathrooms are a good size with plenty of room
I believe the free parking is going to be chargeable from the end of August which is a disappointment but that didn’t affect us on this trip.
Location
Check in and check out took ages . Breakfast was chaos the poor lady who took your name and seated you also cleaned tables / set tables / and entertain the guests. Clearly understaffed and food although buffet style was served to you. We was looking forward to staying here as we’ve stated in many Llandudno hotels But was left disappointed , Average hotel experience .
Location. Room and bathroom size was good. Good cleanliness.Nice mocktails. Staff pleasant. Value for money.
Hospitality tray very limmited number or options of teas. UHT milk. Yorkshire biscuits in a Welsh hotel? Had to ask for a 2nd face towel when booked/ sharing a twin room reception said they now only put one in! No bathmat have to ring down to reception. No sockets next to bed to charge phones.
The staff were incredible, in particular the restaurant manager and waiting staff. Very professional service
Location
Location was perfect, right by sea and main restaurants
Bar staff didn’t seem to know what drinks they had available and were incredibly slow. We went back to our room so they lost our custom
it was my 80th birthday and they did everything to make it special
nothing really
The staff were superb, friendly and knowledgeable. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was of a high quality. The room was serviced to the highest of standard.
Parking space is limited (but what can one expect at a sea front historical location!)
Good comfortable traditional hotel.
Need to park a couple of streets away.
Amazing breakfast 🥞🍳
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, fabulous beds, accessibility good. One of the staff gave us their space in the car park as we had my 91 year old mother in law with us.
We tried to have a cup of coffee I the lounge area and we waited 20 mins for someone to take our order but nobody came so we left, which was a shame. Similarly the night before we wanted a drink in the same area, the bar staff told us where to sit but nobody came yo take our order. In the end we had to go to the bar to ask to be served. Perhaps you were short-staffed? Also there were no towels in my mother in laws room on arrival but that's a minor thing which was resolved v quickly.
Comfortable
Charming
Excellent location
Breakfast staff was not particularly nice, definitely not professional.
Great location right in the heart of the esplanade opposite the pier Beautiful grand hotel , Very clean , & central to all the shops and cafes
Nothing
As always this is a great place to stay, right on the sea front. I paid extra for a sea view but it’s worth it. The breakfast is great and the staff always ready to help. Keep it up.
Evening meal and location
We were booked in for bed breakfast and evening meal but its only an allowance towards your meal which no one told us about so you end up paying more ,
Average
Not much selection on continental , egg order incorrect and some breakfast staff a bit surly...was quite upset on checkout to be charged significantly more for extras on evening meal..which was corrected but with a very flimsy excuse as to the reason for mistake and the service charge was still applied
Fabulous location, parking and very comfy beds. The building is beautiful, especially the breakfast room with many ornate features.
The lift was far too small for the number of guests staying there.
The location to all Llandudno's sea-front & attractions.
Nothing
Location and cleanliness
Breakfast was a buffet but served limiting portions
Great hotel in great location. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Got a car parking spot. Lovely breakfast.
Nothing.
Location, clean and comfortable
Nothing, liked everything
Great location, the hotel is very well staffed, which is less common. The staff were all very friendly, especially staff on reception. Hotel is accessible and has a nice view from the terrace bar. Large bathroom, very comfortable bed. Good size room for a comfortable double.
Property needs updating. Bathroom showing signs of its age. It would have been nice to have some outdoor space to enjoy the front as there was plenty on indoor seating. I think the hotel is over priced and would say it was too dated to be rated a 4 star. The hot breakfast didn’t come out until 8:20 and everything suggested breakfast started at 7:30 so this should have been clearer.
