1 BR Uptown BGC across Uptown Mall

Property is conveniently located next to the mall where there are plenty of restaurants and good shops. Staff are nice and friendly and polite

There are roaches crawling around the kitchen countertop and cupboards and bathroom floor. The two A/C makes constant very loud noises. It sounds like jackhammers pounding the walls. We need to turn the a/c off at night so we can sleep. Good thing is that there’s an electric fan in the room for cool breeze.

The location is in the heart of the BGC Uptown area and has good access to the mall and is close to other locations in BGC. We rented 2 rooms, both were spacious and comfortable. The owner, Sir Gerry, was very responsive and helpful and did his best to accomodate our needs and concerns.

Reading through reviews of the One Uptown building on Google showed that it has a lot of deficiencies. One of our biggest issues was the cockroaches, particularly in the room 32F which had roaches hiding in paint bubbles and floor boards. 31E had a bunch of small cockroaches, but not as bad as the other room. We noticed, however, that it didn’t seem to be just these rooms, but a building-wide issue that should be addressed by the management. Check-in was relatively easy, however, it was clear that there was no communication between staff managing the Air BNBs and the actual residents. The poor fromt desk staff dealt with complaints from Air BNB renters but could not offer solutions as they’re privately managed. Some reception staff were rude. Parking can be organised but be aware that the access card that’s provided by the building DOES NOT give access to the parking floors. This was incredibly frustrating as it was not disclosed to us by any of the staff and we had to just keep asking and explaining to the security guards that we needed to be assisted to the parking floor.

We’re repeat guests at One Uptown and always enjoy our stay here. The location is excellent — close to everything yet quiet enough for a relaxing break. The unit is spotless, mold-free, and very well maintained. We especially appreciate the strong water pressure and overall cleanliness. Gerry, the owner, is always responsive and accommodating, which makes the experience even better. We plan to book this place every time we’re back in BGC. Till next time!

Traffic

Place is convenient, safe, and family friendly. Has a lot of food outside and shopping nearby. Room is decently clean and cozy. Internet was decent. Shower was OK.

Only 2 single use sachets of shampoo and 2 little bars of soap to use for shower. You got to buy your own drinking water from elsewhere. Area is noisy, but that's a given, you can even hear cars honking late at night. Not allowed to use the washing machine which was sad. Kinda wish they allowed the usage of the washing machine. Getting the keys and checking in was quite convoluted, but whatever. Caught a cockroach roaming around in the room. Not a big deal, but just to note.

The location ia fine just not happy during our arrival coz it took so long to get inside the unit due to non proper instruction on how to get inside we've been waiting for about 3 hrs .

The key or the door code should be in placed upon the arrival of the customer/s so that they don't need to wait for so long.

We stayed for 14 nights after a major operation and really appreciated the layout of the unit—it’s simple and functional. The minimalist interior, with no unnecessary decorations, made the space feel open and uncluttered. Everything we needed for a long stay was provided, from utensils to pots. The unit is easy to tidy up, and the water pressure in the shower is great. I especially liked the hand-held shower head. The building’s amenities are superb. On the 6th floor, there’s a pool and garden where you can enjoy fresh air and a peaceful stroll away from the busy area below. There’s also an event space on that floor. The staff is friendly, and we had no issues with the security guards or maintenance crew. We felt safe throughout our stay. The location is a big plus—conveniently close to major places in BGC. The host, Gerry, was attentive and kind, always making sure we had everything we needed and being very responsive to our requests. We will definitely rebook for my follow-up check-up!

Only the slow shower drain…

Location. Just across Uptown mall and was easy to get cabs. Appreciate that they granted our late check-out request too.

Did not particularly enjoy our one-night stay as we were kept up by this loud drilling sound that would go off at all hours of the night. Found this disruptive but appreciate the speedy response that they will get it fixed (albeit for the next guest) when I sent them the videos.

We had a little bit of a problem with opening the door lock for the first time. So we needed to call the owner. They responded quickly. But we were able to unlock it ourselves in the end.

The location was fantastic, literally across the road to uptown mall and then walking distance to other places like High Street. Check in and check out was a breeze. The host and staff were very responsive and able to answer and enquires we had.

The condo itself was spacious and staff were very friendly. I could not be happier with the location. Right next to uptown mall and a ton of restaurant options. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

I didnt have any shampoo and soap ran out in a day.

The location in BGC was excellent. We were able to walk to most places in BGC and it is possible to walk undercover to Uptown Mall. The Marketplace supermarket is located in the basement of the Mall, so getting supplies for the stay was easy.

The apartment wasn’t particularly clean. The amenities, linen, towels, kitchen utensils were somewhat lacking. The photos are a mixture of all the units owned by the owner. There is no hot water connected to the kitchen sink.

Very clean, hot and cold water works on all faucets/shower

The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The room was very spacious. The AC is very strong. The electricity remains on when you go out, so you can charge your stuff without being in the apartment.

The door to the room does not block much sound. There was a lot of action in the hallway at all hours of the night. The apartment above mine had a dog which you can hear clearly when it walks around. The WiFi didn't work for the last 24 hours of our stay.

Host was really responsive and kind. We REALLY enjoyed our stay! The property is clean, smells great, and close to everything. There are restaurants close by which is open 24/7. You can cook too in the property. Uptown mall is just right behind the building, which is really nice. You can reach it by crossing the street or the underground passage under the building. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation Thank you very much again for letting us stay!

The location is very convenient! Malls, shops, hospital even the church are just walking distance from the bldg and everything else is easily accessible. I like the fact that the front desk lobby people are also very friendly and helpful.

The rag for the CR is only 1 and no spare which is for me - not enough especially that when we shower, water is spilling everywhere, and it gets messy around with just 1 rag.

even the taxis are easily available without booking,

bit wider worktable as the dining table for 4 is not required for 1 bhk , that can be smaller with 2 chairs and worktable bigger!
