Frühstück war sehr gut, das Restaurant auch. Personal seht nett. Das Zimmer war sauber, ein bisschen eng, weil viele Betten waren.

Nabij Newcastle, handig om een dagje Newcastle te doen, en onze terugvaart DFDS te halen. Mijn jasje was over een stoel blijven hangen, iemand vh personeel wees me hierop, dat was fijn.

Gastvrijheid was er niet: uit reviews bleken eerdere gasten last met matige matrassen gehad te hebben. Bij reserveren werd mij toegezegd, dat ik nw matrassen zou hebben. Bij de balie vroeg ik (na lange rit) of dit gelukt was, dat schoot in verkeerde keelgat. Ze wist dus niets van toezegging! Bij ons diner die avond, werden wij genegeerd, ipv een welkom (de manager liep wel 4x voorbij), was het 1e dat de manager zei: “So, we are all done”, terwijl hij aanstalte maakte, om de voorgerecht-borden mee te nemen. De vrouw bij het ontbijt snauwde ons af. Ik kom hier niet meer .. Dit is een (door familie-gerund?) restaurant, .. dat ook kamers heeft, .. die ze verhuurd.

Really wonderful hosts and staff, great value and delicious food for dinner and breakfast.

The room was fine although a little cold and a bit bland. Facilities were good with the tea / coffee and hot chocolate. The bicuits were also a nice touch. The bathroom could have benefited from some hooks or rail to hang your wet bath towels.

Unfortunately, having waited a year for our visit and travelled over 200 miles for my wifes birthday our evening meal was a disappointment especially as we ordered wine with our meal and it was forgotten about and by the time we eventually receieved our wine we were already 3/4 the way through our meal . Noone came over to check if everything was ok during our meal. Instead it was felt the staff were more atentive to the locals having there meal than the resident guests. It put us off from eating in the restuarant on the Saturday. Overall, this was not the best experiance we have had as frequent hotel travellers, visiting many hotels.

Breakfast looked good but a bit tasteless and couldn’t get a hot shower only lukewarm.

The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of choice. Both continental and freshly cooked.

The only downside was the dampness / drain odour in the shower / toilet room. Once experienced it was ok.

The restaurant was noisier than we would have liked, so we couldn't have a conversation on our table of 6.

Das Abendessen war absolut top. Sehr leckere italienische Küche und zur Happy-Hour-Zeit bis 6 p.m. sogar mit einem hervorragenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Auch ohne Übernachtung eine Empfehlung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und offen. Hier kam man, wenn man wollte, schnell in ein lockeres Gespräch.

Schön wären modernere und mehr Steckdosen mit USB-Lademöglichkeit. Leider hatte unser Bad eine Wanne in der man duschen musste. Da hatte ich wohl bei der Buchung nicht aufgepasst.

Nice and quiet place to stay and relax overnight. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. Really good food — definitely worth staying for the evening meal.

The hotel room could do with some refreshing, such as new carpets, etc. However, the room was generally clean and offered really good value for money.

Convenient location, easy parking, room was very clean. Food in the restaurant was lovely.

Quite basic in terms of facilities. Breakfast staff weren’t the most welcoming. Main issue was with temperature regulation and water pressure in the shower.

Such a lovely spot for a well needed Hadrian's Wall walk break. All staff were so welcoming and helpful. Restaurant was a real treat and our evening meals and breakfast were lovely. It is clearly a popular spot as the restaurant was buzzing with diners. Rooms were comfy.

I would change the diffuser perfume in the rooms to something a little lighter.

It was a very nice location! We enjoyed the food and the stay. We were there for one night. If you bring your dog you will have plenty of space for walking and taking care of dog needs.

The room was lovely decorated, clean and comfortable. Checking in & out were very quick and simple and we even got into our room a little earlier than expected which was a nice bonus.

The wait time for breakfast. We sat over 45 minutes waiting for our hot meal when there were guests who came in after us and were eating before us. Bathroom a little dated, however very clean. Was left 1x bottle of water for a double room so 2 of us had to share the 1 bottle. We couldn't get the tv to work. Unsure if the batteries to the remote were running out.

Checking in was in the middle of a pub, No indication of what time breakfast was or where to go for it, As was very busy and no time to talk to me.

Friendly and efficient staff. who run a spotlessly clean and enjoyable place. to stay. The bedroom was large and comfortable.. The breakfast was good with freshly cooked food as ordered and plenty of choice. Dinner was superb.!!

The bathroom would benefit from somebwhere to hang towels and an improved shower which.was difficult to turn on and then very hard to adjust the temperature.

Lovely, affordable accommodation. Modern facilities. Close to airport (the reason for our stay). Staff were very friendly & welcoming. Lovely garden area at the back of the property. Would definitely book again if we were in Newcastle!

I couldn’t control the shower settings very well. Was either running freezing or scalding hot. Maybe not so much the properties fault, may just have been me unable to figure it out but found it difficult to control the temperature compared to other places we’ve stayed.

Sadly the room was musty, which caused an allergic reaction, meaning I needed antihistamines and inhalers. I arrived really late, so didn’t address this on the night.

Onthe edge of the city but felt like a world away in such a charming almost medditeran setting The Italian restaurant serves delicious food that's excellent value for money and every member of staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Infact the owner came over to say hello to my little dogs and was such a friendly man who always had a big smile for everyone. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and best of all set slightly apart from the restaurant. I stayed when England were playing Norway and even though the match was televised in the restaurant it was quiet enough in the room for me not to really notice .

Nothing at all to dislike. Only suggestion I could make is perhaps have a shelf in the bathroom as had to perch my toiletries/ washbag and makeup bag on the sink. Personally prefer a bath to a shower and room I was in was a shower only but that's not really a big issue

Lovely place to stay, staff are all friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfy, all facilities are clean. Breakfast is plentiful and catered to all as much as much as possible. We paid separately for dinner and that was also very nice. Best of all dogs are not just 'allowed' they're made very welcome with a garden to give them breaks in, one of the owners spotted my two at breakfast and after checking with me gave them some sausage. Would recommend and stay again.

Only minor thing is would be nice if there were separate toiletries in the showers, there was only a hair body wash in one but as we were only there one night it wasn't a massive issue.

I'd looked online ahead of staying and found the information really supportive. Our room was clean,the shower glistening see-through and with calming, well thought out decoration throughout. The king room was very generously sized and bed comfy. Loved the large shower which was great once got the temperature setting right. The room was minimalistic and elegantly presented which was reset on day two. The food was really delicious. During our stay we enjoyed two lots of breakfast; A la carte menu; afternoon tea plus drinks sat outside. All were very well presented, good quality produce and amazing flavour.My partner kept commenting how he felt like he was abroad. 😎 I consider myself an afternoon tea hobbyist & this ranked highly with the unique added Italian twist. The staff were friendly and in the main very efficient with accuracy. Despite being busy on our first evening, once ordered the food arrived in good time and was hot. Been able to use my booking.com genius discount was very welcomed Top tips for visitors: * The early bird menu is great value * Check the wardrobe for your second set of towels * You may need to ask for a hairdryer * We hadn't realised but you can park near the rooms * Check the shower taps up close for temperature setting Possible suggestions for Michelangelo's to perhaps consider- * updating the 360 degree photo's of the site/inside on Google maps as these would be great for those who want to look in advance to familiarise themselves and for accessibility needs. e.g. wheelchair users, individuals with anxiety or those who are neurodivergent ♾️ *Limiting room parking to guests only to avoid others parking right near your room when windows are open * Adding your afternoon tea offer or at least the sweet treats to your takeaway menu. I think they'd be very popular 🤤 *Might be nice to advertise and celebrate any locally sourced produce 🏆

During our two night stay there were quite a few hiccups on the first night with the room and then during service. Each was minor but the collective effect could have easily brought our rating down a lot as it became a bit awkward having to keep asking/getting error's adjusted and would have preferred the things to not have happened. However, the very positive thing was the speed at which these were rectified.That coupled with the lovely room and delightful food has led us to booking again already

The back entrance to the rooms was shabby and might put some people off. Also the person checking us in mentioned that they were going to be busy ( due to a wedding) and so we would have to have dinner on their schedule and they also said that they couldn't replenish our room due to the busyness of the wedding (we felt that they should just have planned ahead because weddings don't just pop up!)

The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff were excellent. Check in process was swift with immediate water offered on arrival after a hot hike. The setting was beautiful. Food was delicious and excellent value for money. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Housekeeping was amazing, she had the room smell amazing each and every day. The server with the black hair is the most amazing asset to the business, such a lovely girl, very friendly and made us so welcome So close to the metrocentre too.

3 beds in the room, it has left me with bruises all over my legs as walked into the corners so many times, so did the bairns, that reqlly needs addressing.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was absolutely beautiful we would recommend anyone to go there. Cocktails were lush! Enjoyed celebrating our wedding anniversary here and the breakfast this morning was beautiful too

Accessible rooms set away from the restaurant/bar. Lovely garden area to sit out and to exercise the dog . Fantastic food in the restaurant. Very friendly , welcoming and attentive staff . Staff went overboard to ensure our dog was comfortable.

Shower room 5 bit small and doesn’t maintain and good temperature. Cistern of the toilet periodically fills noisily during the night , kept thinking why is the person next door washing their hands all the time .

- Heerlijk ontbijt. Standaard is er een buffet, maar dan kan je ook nog een bord met een Full English Breakfast vragen. Op een bord blijken veel gerechten te passen. In kleine hoeveelheden namelijk. - Ze vragen of je koffie of thee lust. Uitstekende koffie! Er werd ook niet moeilijk gedaan over een tweede kopje koffie/thee. - Gratis parkeren vlak bij ingang kamer gedeelte. - Alle kamers (denk ik) waren op de Begane Grond. Is ook best makkelijk.

- De gerenoveerde badkamer met inloopdouche heeft een spiegelgladde douchevloer, Opletten dus. - Van ons gezelschap vroeg iemand om een gebakken ei in plaats van een full English Breakfast. Dat kenden ze niet. Uiteindelijk werd het scrambled eggs. Heel lekker, maar dat was nauwelijks genoeg voor een halve boterham. Jammer.
