The Seaview Dome - Glamping at Karuna El Nido

Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de glamping en pool, shuttle service naar de stad (wat nodig was zo hoog en afgelegen), happy hour met mooie sunset, communicatie via WhatsApp, ontbijt ok, goed bed

Glamping tent mooi maar zeer warm, airco trekt het niet als de zon erop staat, veel lawaai van scooters en de stad, dus slecht geslapen. Zeer kleine badkamer. Heel veel trappen naar zwembad, restaurant en receptie dus niet geschikt voor minder mobiele mensen. Ongemakkelijke stoelen op terras. Service was slecht, je moest alles vragen, ze zagen dingen niet uit zichzelf zoals koffie en minibar aanvullen. Het kwam dan wel in orde maar er werden ook veel zaken aangerekend zoals ijsblokjes wat met deze prijs van accommodatie wel mocht inbegrepen zijn. Ook niet flexibel, bij ontbijt 1 schel ham gevraagd 100 pesos aangerekend terwijl we de helft van het ontbijt niet namen en er gerechten met ham werden geserveerd! Ook zeker eindafrekening goed nakijken, luchthavenvervoer was dubbel aangerekend en niet volgens de afgesproken prijs

On a adoré le point de vue exceptionnel depuis le dôme ! Un coucher du soleil magnifique ainsi que le point de vue depuis la piscine. Le dôme est une expérience unique. À cela s’ajoute le personnel adorable, souriant et disponible . Mention spéciale à Geo et Jane toujours de bons conseils. Le dîner et petit déjeuner étaient excellents également. Enfin très bonne communication via WhatsApp à la moindre question avec l’accueil.

Le service client n’est pas à la hauteur car pour un endroit de cette envergure on s’attend à un service premium. Exemples : - navette payant depuis l’aéroport jusqu’à l’hôtel : motif arrivé trop tôt pour bénéficier de la gratuité ( midi pour Check in à partir de 15h) je n’avais jamais vécu ce genre de service dans n’importe quel autre hôtel où je suis passé car c’était inclus. - prix navette vers aéroport indiquant un prix sur la table du restaurant et en vérifiant l’information l’accueil m’annonce le double avec le motif suivant : Karuna est différent de glamping même si le restaurant est partagé entre les deux enseignes d'hôtel. Il faut être cohérent dans ce cas et afficher deux prix différents mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi un client glamping doit payer le double par rapport à un client Karuna !! Absolument pas commerçant. - restaurant fermé à notre arrivée le jour J autour de 13 heures : motif « formation » ce qui nous a beaucoup surpris surtout en journée. Pourquoi ne pas effectuer une formation tôt le matin ou fin de journée pour ne pas se retrouver à aller en centre ville pour déjeuner surtout après un long voyage.. - on découvre lors du checkout que le massage est plus cher au glamping que Karuna. On m’explique que ce n’est pas la même compagnie alors que mes factures sont avec l’entête Karuna !!Aucune logique..et on se sent vraiment floués.. Concernant le dôme, il faudrait veiller à nettoyer les vitres plus régulièrement car elles étaient assez sales. Enfin salle de bain un peu petite pour deux au vu de la taille du dôme. Elle gagnerait à être agrandie. Dommage car ces différents points entachent l’expérience globale.

The view was sensational and the room was excellent. Very comfortable and private. The staff at the restaurant went above and beyond to please.Special mention to Geo and RV.

C'est un endroit magique avec des logements confortables , atypiques et très bien intégrés dans la végétation avec une vue extraordinaire sur la mer et el nido. La piscine à débordement avec vue fabuleuse sur la mer et la baie amplifie le charme de cet hébergement.

The tent accommodation was outstanding and truly unique. The location is exceptional, offering a breathtaking view of Coron beach and the sea. Staying here feels special and different, yet still very comfortable. A big plus is the free transfers to the town and the beach, which makes getting around very easy despite the secluded setting. The location itself is really interesting and adds a special charm to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something different with amazing views.

Unfortunately, our experience here was quite disappointing, especially compared to the rest of our travels in the Philippines. The staff were very reserved and noticeably lacking the usual warmth, smiles, and kindness that Filipinos are known for. For the first time during our 14-day trip, we felt uncomfortable around the staff — almost as if they were working under fear or pressure. It was honestly sad to witness. Check-in was handled very poorly. We received our tent only at 3:30 PM, and that was after I personally insisted. There was no explanation, no apology, and no communication at all. All meals are à la carte, with a very limited breakfast selection from a menu and no fresh juice available. The terrace furniture was by far the worst part of the stay — the net seating on the terrace is extremely uncomfortable, and without cushions it is impossible to lie down and relax. Another unpleasant experience was arranging a taxi to the airport. We were quoted 2,000 pesos, despite the stated price being 1,200 pesos. Only after questioning this were we told that the lower price applies only to shared transfers and other accommodations — something that was never clearly mentioned anywhere. Overall, the accommodation is run in a very cold and impersonal way. This is especially disappointing given the incredible location and concept. With better management and care, this place could be truly exceptional — but sadly, it was not our experience.

A really unique property with amazing views. This is gains a few extra points regardless of anything else. You share a pool and restaurant with Karuna apartments yet we still found the pool area quiet and the staff here are excellent. The Dome is really unique and housekeeping staff very good.

This place could really be amazing and offer the level of luxury I feel the price demands with just a few tweaks. The windows of the Dome were a little dirty which ruined the view slightly, I would have thought these would be priority to be cleaned given it’s the main selling point, the gate to the dome didn’t close fully which took away some privacy and security. We found some of the organization and communication from the Glamping staff a little poor at times. We booked a floating breakfast through the reception yet the staff at the restaurant and pool had no idea the following morning. The property is 10 mins ride from El Nido town, there is a complimentary shuttle service until 10pm however on multiple occasions we were left waiting over an hour without good communication over wait times or what was going on, and ended up getting our own tuktuk. This wouldn’t be an issue however outside tuktuks are not allowed in to the complex and have to stop at the bottom of the hill at security, the hill is incredibly steep and likely unwalkable for many. You can get a lift up but again it will depend on the availability and could be left waiting.

It was as expected, lovely Dome with spectacular views. Staff and food excellent. Particular mention to Wilma & Jane in the restaurant.

I stayed in the dome it was amazing the location is the best in El Nido if I had know I would have stayed there longer!!! The swimming pool was amazing - the food was not great but the kitchen was closed due to renovation BUT outside there are so many beautiful places to eat so was not a problem. I can not stress enough how beautiful the view was I would stay here again when in El Nido 100% so safe and secure and quite at night. So many nice people stayed there too while we were there. Staff very helpful and always at hand. strongly recommend staying here when in El Nido - could not have asked for more!!!!

the food was not great due to kitchen closed breakfast was limited :( the shower was a bit small for me I am quite tall!

Everything about the stay was perfect. The staff were friendly and very obliging. The food was delicious. The location was perfect as it was just out of town, so it wasn't to busy. The hotel offers free transport to and from the town which works perfectly. My only issue was the air conditioning was very loud so at night it was quite noisy. But other than this, I cannot fault this resort.

The place was stunning with an amazing view. The room was well-organized with a large, comfortable bed. To go down to the city or return to the glamping, you need to notify the reception in advance, but they are quite responsive and arrive quickly for pickup. The pool and the restaurant are also excellent. Highly recommended!
