Property had everything we needed so was great. Can’t fault the actual property!

We had a toddler and lots of luggage, so the fact the free carpark is across a busy road was a little annoying.

Parking & location

The house is in a great location for the city. It has everything you need for a short or long stay. It is comfortable, clean and warm. The two bathrooms are a great bonus. I stayed there last year and hope to stay again next year!

Great tidy place in a great location

Thus is a lovely house. It is modern, smartly furnished and immaculately clean.

I asked for a 1pm check in but decided against when I was told the cost was $40 The sign on the fridge about star rating for airbnb. Although we booked through booking.com the sign was still off-putting as it indicated that only a 5star rating was acceptable. I'll attach a photo.

Only comment is the first floor shower head was quite loose and moved around once the water pressure was high.

Two full flights of stairs (28) to get to master bedroom from living kitchen downstairs, I think people need to be aware of. I thought it was just upstairs one flight on booking. Also the pantry stores the crockery so there is literally no where to store food. Usability of the kitchen isn’t ideal and the frypans need replacing. The parking provided is free but it’s in an offsite parking area which isn’t convenient when unloading four people’s luggage and extras. I’d assumed it was under the building which was my error but not sure that was made clear in the description either.

Apartment was excellent. Great location to city attractions and restaurants all within easy walking distance.

Unfortunately parking instructions, were not specific as the park address was correct but ParkMate was further down road in another location..a picture provided on fridge with map would have saved us a lot of messing about.

Close to town centre. Comfortable beds. Two bathrooms. Has parking…. but it is diagonally opposite the apartment in a public carpark.

It was very hot upstairs in the top bedroom. There is only a blind in the bedrooms and there is a bit of a lack of privacy in the bedrooms during the day light, as you look out over a workplace and their carpark. A shear curtain would help with this. The towels were new, so they needed to be laundered a few more times before actually being used, as they don’t dry well otherwise. Fluff came off them when washed and that fluff then went all over the next load of clothes. 😭 Also no pegs available to hang clothes outside. Some milk would have been helpful for the first night, especially if guests are arriving later in the evening.

The owner was available & very helpful on New Years Eve, when we'd accidently locked ourselves out. The apartment was clean & comfortable & provided all, as detailed on the website.

The car parking was our biggest annoyance, it was in the next block, diagonally across the street, in an open air parking lot, a few minutes walk away from apartment & was not clearly described as such in the advertising. It took a few emails trying to get to the bottom of how this would work & it wasn't until our arrival letter did we ascertain that there was actual free parking, but not on site. This proved to be a problem on departure, with one elderly guest, a wet morning & a one way system to navigate to return to park outside the building to pack car. Our other grump was that even though it was free parking, it was not guaranteed, New Years Eve parking was almost impossible to achieve, we were lucky that we returned early enough to secure the last of 2 spots left available. The whole parking issue caused a lot of consternation each time we drove away & we wouldn't have chosen this apartment had we realised the parking was not actually located at the accommodation.

Great location; clean and presentation was fantastic

Unable to access apartment upon arrival. Contacted the person; we were unable to call the number he advised us to call; explained situation and there was no response. Multiple messages later, we needed someone from Aust to call the contact person (as booking.com had advised a response would take 24 hours). Finally the contact person called us and explained ability to access unit another way. Theinitial access was blocked through no fault of ours. Nil apology. Waited for well over an hour,but thankfully it wasn't raining :)

The convenience to everything. It was a Xmas shopping trip with a friend and it was just so handy to everything

Amazing location in the CBD considering it’s right in the city we didn’t hear a peep. We loved the bedding and contemporary feel. Free parking in a park mate across the road is a bonus (message the host prior to confirm and then there is a QR code to scan in the apartment where you need to put in you reg) I know previous people have complained but honestly was very straight forward. If you prefer to park your car a bit closer and in eye sight of the property there is a Wilson’s paid carpark right next door- think it was $13 for 24 hrs. Such a lovely property we wish we could have stayed for longer!

Be aware of how many stairs are at this property if that is a problem for some people, good exercise work out though.

The host said that they provide free parking . But I had to pay $57.50 to the renatl company because of a parking issue.

The bed in the master wasn’t very comfortable

It was in a great location, and I must commend whoever cleaned it. It was immaculate. The only issue was there were only 3 glasses, and 4 of us were staying. Hopefully you can top it up for the next guests. This isn't a criticism just a friendly comment. We will definitely return

Minor things. Noisy fridge that needs also a wedge so that it stays forward in the alcove to make it easier to open, little to no condiments in the kitchen.

Really nice, very clean and tidy. Really liked staying here! It is a lot of stairs to carry suitcases.

The top bedroom was very hot to sleep in, it was a sunny day but not overly hot and there was no fan or air-conditioning up there.

Great location. It was good to have 2 separate bedrooms and 2 ensuite bathrooms. It suited our situation, but property is not suited to guests with limited mobility.

It was difficult to find the carpark with it being diagonally across the road. The carpark was full when I arrived in the afternoon, so I had to go elsewhere until the evening when there was space. There is also a carpark area right beside the unit block which would make better sense for carrying luggage etc.

The accommodation was in a perfect place for the city, park, river, eateries and so on! Even though in the central city the house was private away from hustle and bustle. Excellent to have two bathrooms with two bedrooms on two levels when travelling with a friend rather than partner. I will book again!

This house was located in the amazing place. We could walk to the downtown and park very easy. All the facility met our expected. The response from our ask was very quickly. Thanks for the sharing house and we will book the house if we came to meet the Christchurch city again.

The code didn’t work upon arrival but the booking agent was able to help solve the problem. The upstairs bedroom was over 90 degrees F and the there was no way to cool it down since the cooling units were on the ground floor and first floor. Despite our efforts to push cooling air up to the room, we never got it below about 80 degrees F. The other couple had to get a room at a nearby hotel after the first night trying to put up with the heat. We have requested a partial rebate but have not heard back. Also, the free parking is a public uncovered lot about 100 yards away. This is the first time we have been disappointed with a Booking s property.

The best part of this apartment is its location. It is within walking distance of the CBD and all the sites you'd want to see. There are a few good restaurants right around (Goldfinch, Krung Thep Thai) but no true food store if you're going to make your own meals. Also, this group of apartments is surrounded by busy roads, yet inside the apartment and at night it was surprisingly pretty quiet.

We encountered various issues with this apartment that caused me to rate it as I have. Firstly, the electronic touch key pad to enter doesn't work as well as the owners think. The code to enter is long and the pad itself took a few times too many to actually work. An initial code to enter is fine but then a card to enter for the rest of the time would be easier than having to memorise the code and use that pad. Second, upon entering the apartment I quickly saw that it was multi-level, something that was NOT mentioned at all in the description. There area at least 15 steps to get to the first and then second bedroom and toilets. This is not acceptable. What if we had huge, heavy luggage? or a disability that prevented us from climbing those stairs? The booking.com pictures don't show nor mention these stairs - absolutely unacceptable. The last issue I'm going to mention, though not the last issue we had, was Netflix. The booking ad mentions it is available, which it was, but all the previous guests set up were in a foreign language, and there is no 'guest' option. We couldn't figure out (understand the language) to set up our own account so I called the owner and he couldn't help us that night. He said he would come the next day and fix it, but when we went to Neltflix the next night it wasn't fixed.

Lovely central apartment. Clear instructions and good facilities. Perfect for a weekend in Christchurch.
