The apartment is lovely—located in an old building with high ceilings, and it is bright and airy. The work desk (I was working remotely during the week) is wonderful: spacious and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was good, though it did cut out occasionally. The kitchen is fine and very well-equipped. There are power outlets on both sides of the bed; in fact, there are outlets everywhere, which is very convenient. This was my third Roost booking and for the first time, the key pickup and check-in process went smoothly and without issues—unlike the last time, when I had to sleep in a hotel because the Wi-Fi didn't work. The area is fantastic—one of my favorites in Helsinki—and despite being on a pedestrian street full of restaurants and entertainment spots, it is completely quiet because the apartment faces the central courtyard.

Having stayed at other Roost properties in Helsinki, this is without a doubt the worst one I’ve visited. There is plenty of storage space—lots of floor-to-ceiling closets—but the layout is poor and disorganized; I had to move the vacuum cleaner and ironing board just to make room for my own things. There were duvets, sheets, towels, loose pillows, and cribs scattered across the closets. A bit of better organization would have made much better use of the space. The sofa and armchairs were pretty gross; they really need a deep clean or reupholstering. I hardly ever sat on them. The kitchen extractor fan was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Basic items were missing, such as small knives, scissors, bowls, and paper towels. I had to buy small plastic containers to store leftovers in the fridge—which I obviously left behind for future guests, along with a water pitcher. The cleanliness, in general, leaves a lot to be desired; there was dust everywhere—on lamp cords, in corners, and so on. The bathroom deserves a special mention; I now understand why they only post one photo—it doesn't show just how tiny the space is. A big person would have serious trouble showering or even moving around in there. Naturally, you have to move all your toiletries and towels out of the way while showering so they don't get wet. Bathrooms in Finland are small, but this one was dollhouse-sized. It was also quite dirty in the hidden corners. The drain cover came off by accident, and it was like Mordor down there—I’ve never seen anything so filthy in my life; it made me gag. The bed is quite uncomfortable; it seems to sag in the middle. Everything was very disorganized in general; it looked as though the kitchenware and leftover food packages had just been shoved into the cupboards haphazardly, without any attempt to make efficient use of the space. For a long stay like mine, I reorganized all to my linking. The lack of an elevator is a hassle, but I knew about before booking.

The apartment is very bright and we loved the furniture. Excellent taste! The bed is very comfortable, bath towels are white and fluffy and large. Lightning is also excellent - important for book readers! The kitchen is very practical with everything one needs and there is even a small dishwasher which worked perfectly. There is only one flight of very large stairs, therefore not an issue at all! The location is incredibly cool, quiet and safe. The apartment is located in a pedestrian street and there are many bars, cafés, restaurants and shops nearby. Two tram stops are also in short walking distance. All in all: highly recommendable!

There is nothing we did not like. We knew about the tiny bathroom and the shower overflow, but it is possible to manage!

De locatie was top, midden in het design district. En van de omliggende terrassen hadden we geen geluidsoverlast.

De douche in combinatie met het toilet was niet aangenaam en heel erg klein.

Pulizia principalmente delle due camere. L’abitazione presentava sulla pavimentazione dei "rotolini di polvere", indicativi di una mancata o insufficiente pulizia.

The apartment is centrally located with easy access to public transport, cafes, bars, the central train station, shopping, the harbor. We felt very safe to be there during the day and at night as well. The apartment is well equipped and tastefully furnished and decorated.

To pick up the key, we had to go to another location about 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment. Access to the apartment building was difficult for us because we weren’t able to open the heavy padlock that locked the main gate. We never saw anybody from the rental company nor were we able to talk to somebody even when we couldn’t get inside inside the building late at night. Because we couldn’t open the main gate, we had to wait for neighbors to arrive to open it for us. This happened several times. We couldn’t access the drawer with the cutlery. We were told it can be opened, but we weren’t able to.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht. Die Lage ist super zentral alles ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es gibt viele Bars und Restaurants in der Nähe, ein Supermarkt ist gleich um die Ecke.

Leider doch etwas hellhörig, aber die Ruhezeiten werden von allen Nachbarn eingehalten. Das W-Lan ist etwas instabil.

Apartment 27 schwer zu finden (in privater Wohnanlage). Nur nach telefonischer Rücksprache gefunden… Die Heizung im Bad lief auf höchster Stufe und konnte nicht abgestellt werden (wir waren im August da!)

Jedině to, že mi nešlo připojit se podle zaslaného hesla na WiFi. Jinak vše super.

A nice neat small apartment in a quiet but handy position. Only one knife but other than that was everything we needed and would stay again.

If picking up the keys out of office hours just be aware that the instructions are clear and worked but many.

A plumber walked into my bedroom whilst I was sleeping to do some routine work on the radiators The apartment is looking a bit tired and needs decorating The fan of the hob is dirty and doesn't work very well There were no smoke alarms on the ceilings in any of the rooms

A lovely flat with everything we needed for the few days we were there. Very cosy and comfortable. The staff at Roost were also very helpful.

The bathroom is a bit tiny but for just a few days it was fine.

location was good to get around. The kitchen was well equipped.

Location is good to access to major sightseeing spots by walking

Check-in is not convenient; need to take luggage from the site of the key box to the apartment by foot for 5-8 minutes. Shower space is too small.

The location is very good with a number of bus and tram routes accessible within a few minutes’ walk, and the town centre also accessible on foot.

Roost is a commercial letting outfit with a number of properties in Helsinki. This is not like being in someone’s home. There were a number of issues on arrival - items missing, broken, not working, items left in dishwasher, but these were rectified within 24 hours. Most importantly the bathroom is minute (2m x 1m max) and very impractical with shower water inevitably covering the whole floor. This let is suitable for 2 people as further sleeping room is on a sofa bed in a room between the kitchen and main bedroom. There is no washing machine for clothes.

Large space, nice and modern kitchen and dining room, comfy bed, nice lounge, good heating. Would come back again if I came back to visit Helsinki in the future :)

Apartment was lacking basic things for cleaning up dishes manually, such as dish soap, sponge, kitchen paper etc. Strange mechanism to open the front gate that leads to the courtyard.

Spacious and well-furnished apartment in a central location, with all main attractions reachable by walk. Very clean and well equipped. Located in a safe pedestrian street with a supermarket, restaurants and pubs very close by.

Collecting the keys was a treasure hunt. We had to go to an office at a separate location, connect to the wifi from outside, go to a website and obtain a code just to enter the office and take the keys. Then we had to walk close by to the property, use other codes to open the outside gate and finally get to the apartment door. Very inconvenient at night with luggage. No elevator. The bathroom is tiny and unsuitable for well-built persons.

Beautiful apartment with everything you need. We traveled with a baby and it was great that there was a high chair and a travel bed for her.

The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We were able to get into our apartment early as we had arrived via ferry. They did everything they could do to accommodate us. When there was a problem, they fixed it in a timely manner. The apartment is very light and spacious. The kitchen has everything you need to cook in, plus basic foods such as pasta, rice flour etc. Good size fridge, freezer and dishwasher. It's in a great location.

Collecting the key to the apartment was a little tricky, but we managed. The door to the building was a tough to deal with as it stuck and was a struggle to open especially when it rained. The apartment is one flight up.

Apartment is located at great and quiet location in Design District. Nice location where you can sightseen the city center. Apartment is very clean and comfortable with very well equipped kitchen. Apartment has all you need for your stay. Supermarket is very close and works at least until 23:00 (maybe longer than 23:00, not sure). Very easy to find parking in the city center. Less traffic than in other capital cities so it's easy to drive on the road. Wifi is great. It has strong signal. Perfect stay!

If you travel with car you will have to pay parking in the city center. The best is to do with application Easy Park. Small shower but this is common in scandinavian countries.

Very beautiful flat. Cozy. Top location in the middle of restaurants and cafes. Okay WIFI. Good working place to remotely work. Well equipped kitchen (incl. salt pepper and some spices). Late check out granted

Arrival was not ideal and made the impression that the cleaning was done in a hurry (dirty dishes in dishwasher, only to sheets (not rolls) of toilet paper, shampoo almost empty). Without this it would be 5 stars in our view. A laundry machine would be a big plus (but there is a laundry closeby)
