Absolutely gorgeous cottage, exceeded our expectations in every way. The decor was beautiful- really classy, definitely had the wow factor! It had everything we needed and more. Pub over the road did great good, friendly and relaxed. Yes we’d definitely go back.

Direct op de route van de Tabular Hills Walk in een hartstikke leuk plaatsje. Ik werd smiddags gebeld om te laten weten dat de pub om 1800 uur zou sluiten en er geen diner was. De meneer vond dat zo naar voor me dat hij me cake en saucijzenbroodje gaf. En ook nog twee adressen op loopafstand om te eten. Hartstikke vriendelijk. En de kamer was ruim en schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Zelfs ontbijt voor in de ochtend!

Helemaal niets, dat ik maar één nacht bleef denk ik.

Location was great. Plenty of parking in a very quiet area. The accommodation was brilliant; hugely spacious and comfortable. Fully equipped and 2 gardens to boot! We ate at Plough Bar on our second night and the food was fantastic. Will definitely return.

The only thing I didn’t know was that we’d actually booked one of the venue’s houses. A pleasant surprise as I’d thought it was more likely to be a suite of rooms. But the potential difficulty for guests is that the stairs in the house are very steep indeed. If you have mobility issues please be aware of this (we were 23 North St).

Every visit we make to The Plough leaves us wishing we were staying longer, and this latest visit left us even sadder to be going home. The house we stayed in was utterly beautiful, with every detail perfect, every facility of exceptional quality, every interaction with staff met with professionalism, every meal beautifully cooked and present. We LOVED everything

The booking was so easy just a couple of little questions and were handed the keys to one of the cottage’s that we booked and from opening the front door what a pleasant surprise we got it was beautiful from top to bottom everything was top notch and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast in the yew tree cafe just over the road which is part of the plough I believe and it was just as good as the cottage so we were very pleased with the hole stay. A superb location in a quaint part of town with very friendly neighbours. Both houses had every amenity you could want.

Not much to dislike

Comfortable and stylish rooms - with the hot weather i would've given a 10 if the room had air con. I ate in the restaurant too and it was delicious.

Lovely village location. Staff very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent Our room in the eves was cosy, they have definitely made the most of the available space The shuttle service to the open air theatre was also a really good idea

Our room was very warm but there was a fan so at least they did what they could to keep it cooler in this very warm weather

We Stayed at 22 Highstreet. The self catering beautiful house. The house is gorgeous with everything you would need. Great that it includes parking around the back too. Lovely little village. The Plough across the road were we ate a delicious meal. The staff were lovely not only in the pub but also the Yew Tree cafe were we had an equally delicious Breakfast. Which was located just a minute walk from where we stayed. We came for a concert at the Open air theatre. They made getting there so easy as the plough offers a shuttle service to the venue pick up and drop off. Which was a huge bonus. I would definetly choose here again. Had a great stay. Sorry to leave. The beds were super comfy too. Selection of pillows. The decor was equally great. Good quality beds and bedding. Tastefully decorated throughout.

A little pricey

Location and lovely friendly venue, food lovely.

No bottled water as stated, no milk or coffee in room. No soap to wash hands in bathroom, only 1 very small container body wash . The room is inadequately ventilated, it is a very small room, in the room, consequently, it was so very hot, with only a small fan, air conditioner was useless, blowing warm air. Totally dissapointed..had to go down to bar area in my pjs to speak to someone, as the telephone in the room had a cord but nowhere to plug into , although it had a little card in front of it telling you the number to call reception. For £186 a night I thought at the most should have been £130 for the total inconvinience we experienced. Very dissapointed. Have stayed here before this occasion, booked with booking.com , but will think twice before staying there again.

The breakfast was amazing but a bit too much 4 croissants for two plus toast but that’s not a complaint . The room had everything but I’d stay in another room next time as it was too hot for us , we were in the attic . Parking was not an issue at all ! And there’s a nice pub with beer garden two minutes away. I’d say 15 minute drive to the north bay

Fabulous stay at the Plough, a real gem & worth every penny. Quality & comfortable well designed & decorated rooms with clean crisp white bedding, towels & lovely extras. We had evening meal which was delicious great staff big shout out to Will who goes above & beyond to make your stay superb & also the young night porter last night too. Highly recommend & will definitely be back. If your visiting Open Air theatre the Plough offer a great service to residents with a shuttle bus to & from the theatre saves a lot of hassle, waiting & taxi fees 👍

Everything was high end and great quality with fantastic service! The double room was lovely and very comfortable, with everything you would need for a luxury stay. Breakfast was great , the bar and restaurant were excellent! We will be regular visitors.....

The TV didn't work very well but not a problem for a one night stay.

Nice location. Loved the decor and how everything was set up. Had a fan / filter in the room which was not expected - made a massive difference. Staff were VERY helpful and friendly. Know all the local Taxi’s and will accommodate as much as possible. Breakfasts were fantastic. Did not even know I had it with my booking until reminded. Loved the Mini-bar set up - variety for anyone. Thank you again. Top notch!

Nothing! There was an unavoidable mark on the bedding when we arrived. This was rectified almost immediately by a gentleman working in The Plough.

The breakfast was of a good quality but we asked on the request form for well done bacon & sausage but they were not

The bedroom although small was very well equipped, the breakfast was excellent value for money, the area where breakfast was served was very pleasant, food was hot and served quite quickly

There is no atmosphere where you have breakfast, I think some soft music or news would help, there person taking our order didn't get this right, we ordered poached eggs and received fried, normally the service is impeccable but not on this stay, when Matthew is on breakfast he is very attentive, but overall is was good

Didn’t like the check in . Was an uphill battle as staff were busy serving at the bar / serving meals . Didn’t get any information on dining / breakfast times etc . , in fact no information about anything .We were given our key and told your room is up the stairs . Only after eating in the evening we enquired about breakfast only to be told you need to fill in an order form ( no info prior to this ) . Think you could get a complimentary bottle of water in your room also !

The bedrooms are well furnished to a high standard with extremely comfortable mattresses, bedding and pillows. The team were very welcoming throughout our stay and responded well to any requests. We liked it so much we ate in the bar and conservatory on booth nights and really enjoyed everything we ate. We selected breakfast on our second day and I can recommend the full English option, accompanied by a great flat white.

The cottage was excellent - we loved the decoration and layout, general comfort and local views.

We had some trouble understanding how to use the heating controls. We were also frustrated at not being able to get good choices on the tv - seemed to be a lack of general entertainment channels availableo?

Fabulous place to stay staff are very welcoming and warm , nothing is to much for them . Food served at the pub was delicious and plenty of it .we stayed in room 6 and what a lovely quaint room it was with all amenities.

Room was nice and cosy. However for what we paid we were put on an attic room so not the biggest. It was cosy but very cold in the night.

The banging base music that went on right below us until 11pm. The place gives you ambience of nice relaxed and chilled. Then you have banging music which doesn’t match what you’re expecting from a restaurant hotel. Think they’re trying to please too many people. Pick your target audience and stick to it would be my advice.

Great location. The property was lovely and to a high standard. Great size rooms with plenty of space and lots of storage. Has a lovely court yard to sit out in. Lovely bath and lighting.

The shower cubicle is a little small. Couldn't work out how to turn the heating off but the heating system is good.

Perfect - everything was amazing. The cottage feels luxurious, everything is so clean, comfortable and feels like home.

WiFi wasn’t great, I was there for a work stay and was using my work laptop, so really needed WiFi. However that doesn’t take away from the fantastic overall experience. Would certainly stay again (maybe not for work purposes, but definitely for leisure!)

The cottage was gorgeous, so nicely decorated and sooo lovely and warm. Beds comfy. Nice and close to everywhere we needed to go. Went to The Plough pub for evening meal one night and it was delicious!

I had a light dinner in the pub and it had a lovely atmosphere - the goats cheese tart and salad was very tasty. The pub is cute and in the middle of the village - parking was a little challenging but its a great place to stay.

This was a diamond of a find! The place had a great pub and restaurant opposite it which we ate at. The place was amazing and gutted we were only there for one night! Everything you would need.
