Muckross Park Hotel & Spa

Wonderful stay. I have a food allergy and the hotel staff was beyond accommodating. Ireland with food allergy is taken so serious and menus are very documented. The US needs to take notes.

It’s all perfect!

The breakfast and the spa were the best parts of the stay. Breakfast and service was very quick and delicious. Spa was fun although the hot tubs were not hot. It was a nice touch having bath salts by the bathtub although I wasn't there long enough to use them.

The only issue is the walls were thin and the room next to me kept me up through the night. I had to turn on music in order to fall back asleep. That was difficult considering how much I paid for the room.

Included breakfast was good Service and staff were very good Pub was fun enough Room was dated but large, carpet was dirty, bathroom needs updating The pool/hot tub area was a big disappointment- the outside hot tub had cold water coming from jets, the inside hot tubs each had one overly powerful jet and the others not working. We mentioned to the spa desk and she said they were “working” on a fix in a way that made me think this had been a long term problem. It was billed as a 5 star and cost that, nearly $500 per night possibly because there was a wedding that night. Its location is special by the national park and bikes to explore are free, which was the best part. Closer to Killarney town center were a million other hotels which may be a better value. Only choose this if the price is right and you like being further out. We explored Ring of Kerry from here which worked well but if going again I would stay in Kenmare or Portmagee on the loop itself.

You have everything you need on the property if don’t want to leave. Great food and multiple places to drink with an amazing spa. With the property being on the 25,000 acre park, you have plenty to explore and do.

Plenty of parking, staff were lovely and friendly. The bed was comfortable.

Booked a king size room and the price for it i expected a stunning spacious room. What i got was one of the smallest "king size" room i have ever booked. The tv/tv remote had the option of netflix and youtube none of the buttons worked. Disappointing.

The decor of the facility was absolutely beautiful and the Vitality Spa was exactly what we needed after driving around Ireland for the 4-5 previous days of sight-seeing. What an amazing and wonderful place to end our visit to Ireland before heading back home to the States. Our room was exquisite and The Yew Tree and Monk's Lounge are both options.

That we couldn't stay longer. Another day or two would have been ideal.

The location was right by the Ring of Kerry and The national Forest. The food was yummy! We’ve been traveling around Ireland for a while and we had the best night sleep here. I had the best bed and the softest sheets. The staff was fantastic

Behulpzaam personeel; de grote variatie en kwaliteit van het ontbijt; de ligging tegenover National Killarney Park en een prima Deep Muscle massage in het mooie wellnessbereik.

Er waren een aantal kleinere zaken waardoor het toch niet helemaal als een vijf sterren hotel aanvoelde. Zo was de safe op de kamer defect en werd ook niet gerepareerd tijdens ons verblijf. De geluidsisolatie van de kamer was niet optimaal. Je kon gasten in de naburige kamers duidelijk horen en je hoorde laat 's avonds vaak muziek van 1 van de vele trouwfeesten die er plaatsvinden. De waterdruk in de badkamer was soms laag en de koelkast was niet echt koud. Tenslotte wouden we een lunchpakketje bestellen voor de daaropvolgende dag maar eerst begreep het personeel niet wat we bedoelden en toen ze het wel begrepen zeiden ze dat zoiets 24u op voorhand moest besteld worden wat natuurlijk niet meer mogelijk was.

Room was not fully replenished every day, we had to go asking for vanity kits,dental kits etc. Also breakfast buffet had empty trays with a single slice of cheese on more than one occasion (not at the end of the service)

Location was excellent and staff were really helpful .

Je recommande vivement ce charmant hôtel, nous y avons passé 2 nuits dans un calme absolue , le lit est plus que comfortable, sans oublié un passage au SPA et un dîner au restaurant le colghan. Le personnel de l’hôtel est très aimable, professionnel et à l’écoute.

Very relaxing atmosphere, staff friendly and obliging and a beautiful location.

Breakfast: flies were hovering around the pastries and there was no real butter at breakfast. It tasted like a margarine type spread (awful). I did enquire and the waitress was unable to say if they had real butter. I would expect a choice from any hotel and real butter as a standard at breakfast. Unfortunately for me, it did take from the overall breakfast experience.

Our family of four had a lovely two night stay at Muckross. The rooms are bright and large. the location is a short drive to the center of Killarney. Its right across the street from the Muckross Abbey and a short walk to Muckross House. a further hike leads to the TORC Falls. We had a nice afternoon at the spa and the full breakfast was filling and delicious. We used this as a base for golf and Dingle and Kerry. It was woodsy and very green. Its a drive to the coast, but we knew that-- for us the location was central for all the things we wanted to do. Dinner in the pub was fun. They have live music every night and the whole crowd was singing along. We would definitely return!

Staff were genuinely warm and professional throughout — a cut above what you'd typically expect. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. A highlight was the managed access to the spa, with capped numbers keeping it uncrowded and relaxing — a smart policy that many hotels fail to implement.

One gripe: the bar is attractive but overpriced, and the absence of any nibbles with drinks (crisps, nuts) was noticeable — even after asking. A small thing, but it jars slightly at that price point.

A beautiful gateway to The Muckross National Park.

I wished there were outdoor seating areas in the hotel.

Fruit wasn’t that fresh, no yogurts, the gluten free section was empty, I tried the crossaint which was rock hard and stale. Could have had more options. There was a loaf of bread and the stale croissants. The cooked breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean.

We love everything, the bedroom was spacious with elegant decor, very clean. Large bathroom with bath and shower, spottles. Staff and hotel top marks! Thank you!

Frühstück: ausreichendes Buffet. Personal langsam, unaufmerksam evtl. noch in der Lernphase. Für ein 5 Sterne Hotel trotzdem nicht würdig. Wir hatten wohl das teuerste Zimmer, mit Balkon. Zimmer war super schön aber die Terrasse war nicht gereinigt, Spinnweben, Dreck, Moos - ein no Go für ein 5 Sterne Hotel

Tolle Lage direkt gegenüber vom Killarney National Park. Schöne Anlage und Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal und der Spabereich war auch sehr schön und der perfekte Rückzugsort an verregneten Tagen. Das benachbarte Restaurant Colgans Pub ist auch sehr empfehlenswert.
