shocking as showers didnt work in the either room for the last night and the last day, was very poor as the only compensation given was a discount from restaurant bill really poor custmer service with that. I mean not to be able to shower in either rooms for half of the stay should have really warranted half the accommodation bill. as the place was otherwise so beautiful I didnt really argue. When I have realised the overall cost when we came back Im a bit gutted that I didnt. the manager didnt even come out to speak to us. the place was so magical, and I was so in love with the resort that I didnt want to make a fuss, but in hindsight I really should have. No way was it worth the 300 or so pounds it cost us for that 2nd night!! The staff were so wonderful I dont think it would put me off going again! just a shame we werent compensated properly

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you happy. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious. I’m thinking of coming back.

Have stayed at Arma before as well. the location is fabulous and the grounds are very well maintained and feast for the eyes ! The staff is always nice !

This time was disappointed as the suite appointed was in the new wing was hoping for 2 adjoining rooms around Room 821 (my earlier stays were always there) .

This property has everything you need to have a great time. They make you feel welcome and special. Staff goes beyond the call of duty to make sure you are taken care of.

What a unique stay! Stayed for a short birthday trip. The grounds of the resort were lush, well maintained and so interesting to explore. They created a garden that was truly lost in time. The view from our room was a stunning pool view. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had free access to their beautiful art museum located on the resort grounds. We really enjoyed the nightly cultural experiences and attended the Legong Dance and Ramayana ballet. I would definitely recommend attending these. The spa experience was amazing, we really enjoyed the Balinese massage. The resort is located on a busy main street and has several entrances. We walked to the monkey forest (about 22 mins walk) and walked to the Yoga Barn (about 14 mins walk) for an amazing yoga session. There are many restaurants along this busy main street. Our stay was lovely and would certainly stay again.

The resort grounds are dimly lit at night so be cautious of this.

What a beautiful property featuring an outdoor theatre, multiple art galleries and rice fields all on-site. Great pool, spa and excellent breakfasts. Enjoyed exploring the gorgeous gardens, chatting with their wonderful staff who provide fantastic service. It was a true oasis that we enjoyed staying at as Ubud is very very busy.

Noisy guests (directly above our room). They were thumping around until the early hours of the morning - needless to say we were delighted when they checked out!

The location is spectacular. It feels like being in a serene tropical garden, while still being close enough to central Ubud and away from the main traffic. The staff was very kind and helpful. I also really enjoyed exploring the museum and watching the evening show. The combination of art, traditional architecture, attentive staff, and lush surroundings makes the whole experience feel very special.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful, there were many paths to explore in the resort past lotus ponds, artists in residence, rice paddies and more. The pools were suitable for young children as well as couples. The rooms in the Wisnu block were spacious, clean and comfortable. The room service was excellent. The cultural shows were easily accessible from the hotel and fantastic quality. The staff were excellent, always smiling and greeting you by name, some of the best hospitality we experienced while in Bali. Outside the hotel is a busy road but the ARMA is a welcoming and quiet sanctuary while still being amongst the bustling city, a perfect balance. There are many delicious restaurants nearby and two different restaurants onsite. I'd highly recommend staying here and will be returning.

Incredible gardens, an incredible sanctuary from the craziness of Ubud. Beautiful staff who really care about their jobs with nightly performances by really passionate performers. There are so many great restaurants within walking distance.

The rooms are very simple - we stayed in a basic room. And unfortunately, the road outside is quite busy however I think that is just what you get for staying in the centre of Ubud.

The grounds are lush, sprawling and beautiful. The hotel booking included access to the ARMA museum and one nightly performance, both of which we enjoyed a lot. The location was great for exploring Ubud on foot without being too central.

We stayed in the hotel, not the villas, and found that the road and other guests' movements (doors opening and closing, shower use and toilet flushing, footsteps in the hall) were very audible. The staff were excellent but a bit pushy about attending additional paid performances beyond the one included in the hotel stay. There were many steps between the reception and our room, which left us out of breath. The shower has a glass door that doesn't fully seal from the rest of the room, which meant if one of us was showering the other couldn't stay asleep.

The streets of Ubud are all chaotic and crazy, croweded with some of the worst traffic you will find anywhere in the world. In the center of the city, ARMA provides a tranquill oasis, 7 hectares of peace and quiet set in beautiful grounds of rice fields, jungle and a running river. The villas are magnificent, many with private pools. Do not miss the museum! The staff are all friendly and helpful. The food, including a great beakfast spread, was wonderful. The best place to stay in central Ubud!

Un bel établissement proposant des chambres au calme dans un magnifique jardin, tout en étant au cœur de Ubud. L’ensemble est propre et le personnel est accueillant. Le restaurant est particulièrement charmant et la cuisine très bonne. Le petit déjeuner offre un large choix. Les entrées au musée étaient incluses avec le prix de la chambre, ainsi que deux places pour les spectacles On recommande les yeux fermés !

This is an excellent place if you are interested in cultural tourism like I am. The tours they provide hit all of the major spots in Ubud, the performances like the Barong dance are fun to watch, and the museum was awesome for a museum guy like myself. The fact that the Obamas stayed there only gives the place even more historical cachet.

The WiFi was barely useful, so I had to rely on data for anything useful. The rooms, particularly the bathrooms, were a little rough around the edges in terms of maintenance. (There may also have been a small chance that their restaurant gave me Campylobacter diarrhea as I developed symptoms several days after my stay, though that part is impossible to prove.)

Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl im Arma Resort gefühlt. Vom belebten und zum Teil anstrengenden Verkehr Ubuds in das Resort eintretend, erlebten wir eine Oase aus kleinen Reisterrassen, Brücken, Wasserspielen, kleinen Altären und Heiligtümern. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen durch viele sehr aufmerksame und gleichzeitig angenehm zurück haltende Mitarbeiter. Die Kommunikation war sehr serviceorientiert - wir erhielten auf alle Anliegen sehr zeitnah eine Rückmeldung. Die Atmosphäre war v.a. von Wertschätzung für Tradition und Kultur geprägt. Wir hatten einen Pool direkt vor unserem Balkon, über den sich auch unsere 8-jährige Tochter täglich freute. Auch für sie und ihr leibliches Wohl z.B. beim sehr vielseitigen Frühstücksbuffet war gesorgt. Das Restaurant insgesamt bietet eine reichhaltige Auswahl und ein schönes Ambiente. Es gibt zudem eine medizinische Erstversorgung durch eine Krankenschwester. Ein besonderer Reiz liegt in der Verbindung des großartigen Kunstmuseums, balinesischer Tanz-und Musikvorführungen auf hohem Niveau und dem vielseitigen Angebot an Kursen in balinesichem Handwerk (kochen, malen, tanzen...). Klassische Spaangebote gibt es natürlich auch. Wir wünschen uns, dass das Resort lange erhalten bleibt und der Kommerzialisierung Ubuds trotzen kann.

The hotel grounds are amazing—lush, green, and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful, with many statues, bridges, and small rice fields. It’s a calm oasis in the otherwise busy Ubud, where you can truly relax. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The private pool in the family villa was lovely. We ordered a floating breakfast which we recommend, it was very nice.

The family villa has two separate bedrooms, but there is no indoor access between them. You need to walk around the pool to get from one room to the other. Since we were traveling with older kids, this wasn’t a big issue for us, but it might not be ideal for families with younger children. The refrigerators were a bit noisy, but I’d rather have a noisy refrigerator than no refrigerator at all. These are just minor complaints—overall, the hotel was truly amazing!

Beautiful people and service. The scenery was amazing. I highly recommend, you won't regret staying here.

A tropical garden haven within central Ubud. Stay within a cultural heritage centre with the opportunity to view Balinese art and learn traditional crafts in workshops.

It feels like a night in the museum, not a luxury hotel. Great for a couple of nights but a service, food and facilities are a little patchy at times.

family villaに泊まりましたが、コネクティングにはなっておらず、プールをまたいで入り口やバスルームは別。子どもたちの年齢が小さいと難しいのでは？半外のお風呂にお湯をためたら、冷たいシャワーしか出なくなってしまった。設備はやや古い。

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with lush gardens, traditional Balinese architecture, an excellent museum and art gallery, and a peaceful atmosphere despite being close to central Ubud. The traditional dance event was fabulous and made the stay especially memorable. The restaurant and riverside setting were lovely, although I chose not to eat from the restaurant because of my food allergies and concerns about cross-contamination. The staff were very understanding and kindly allowed me to eat food ordered through Grab outside by the river. The staff throughout the resort were warm, very helpful and genuinely open to feedback. When I explained that the first room was not what I had expected, they listened and moved me to a second room. This room had a much better view, was close to the pool and felt far more enjoyable. The resort has a very special cultural atmosphere and is clearly cared for with pride. Easy to get to other places walking or by car/ scooter.

The first room was positioned between other rooms, so the balcony felt enclosed and did not match the open, attractive rooms shown in many of the booking photos. It was disappointing and not the luxury experience I had expected. The second room was much better in terms of location and view, but this was where I noticed brown-coloured water when filling the bath, so I did not feel comfortable using it. The Wi-Fi was also weak in the room, which made it difficult to work without using my own mobile data. I later understood that there are around 20 newer rooms on the other side of the resort, and I feel the different room types should be shown and described more clearly, as many of the main photos appear to feature the newer rooms or villas. But a lovely hotel and next visit will likely book villa with family as solo this stay.

Unbelievable museum setting in the most beautiful gardens with a river running through the property. High-end accommodation at affordable rates, most comfortable sleep I had in all of Bali!

Everything was fantastic. Friendly staff, amazing spacious villa set in beautiful grounds, good breakfast and added bonus of free admission to the museum and tickets to the evening cultural performance.

Only issue was the amount of mosquitoes. We got bitten a lot during our stay at the hotel, but we consider this understandable due to the surrounding rice paddies and ponds. Mosquito nets were provided so our nights were comfortable.

The gardens are amazing

Arma is a beautiful traditional resort set in lovely gardens. We stayed in a quiet and peaceful villa overlooking rice fields. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Arma Museum is outstanding with a wonderful collection of modern and traditional art. Arma is dedicated to preserving the Balinese arts —— including dance and music. The cultural performances in the evening are great. It’s not a 5 star resort but its charm is in the peaceful setting, beautiful gardens and traditional buildings. It’s an Oasis in Ubud which is now so busy and congested.

This was our second stay and we enjoyed it so much.

飛行機の到着時間の関係で深夜にチェックインの対応をしていただきました。 また、この日だけこちらの部屋を取って次の日は同じホテルのビラを予約しており、チェックイン間の荷物の管理など色々と対応していただけました。 部屋自体はとても綺麗で、部屋内に虫なども特に気になりませんでした。 廊下には基本野外なこともありヤモリや虫がおりました。 シャワールームとトイレも分かれており使いやすかったです。

トイレの立て付けが少し悪かったので気をつけて開け閉めする必要がありました。

The resort was beautifully designed. We had a villa to ourselves, with a pool and it was wonderful. Inside atmosphere was really nice too, especially integrating the indoors and outdoors. The location was great for sightseeing around Ubud area. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The staff were always pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast options were adequate.

The bed had a futon mattress, so not as comfortable as we had hoped. Mosquito netting was nice, but a pain to get around to get in/out of bed. Floors could get slippery. Bathroom 110v plug near mirror did not hold plug...had to use one above fridge with adapter. Traffic was crazy busy, but thankfully didn't affect resort atmosphere.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location and design of the resort is heavenly. The surroundings of rice fields, lotus pond, museum and gallery, sacred statues and the in house tours to attend temple ceremonies, theatre and local cultural significant places were all exceptional. Thank you.

Tout ! L hotel est un coin de paradis !! Tellement beau !! Nous étions dans la villa familiale côté a côté qui est exceptionnelle ! Deux maisons (chambre et magnifique salle de bains) avec une énorme piscine privée au milieu. Les lits sont très confortables, les salles de bain énormes avec douche extérieure, douche intérieure et bain. Et dans le jardin prive deux « salons de jardin ». Je n ai pas vue les autres villes et chambres mais la notre était exceptionnelle. Le personnel est adorable, ce qui est commun dans tout les endroits ou nous sommes restés a Bali et le cadre est vraiment magnifique ! Un paradis !

Le petit déjeuner est bon, mais le restaurant n est pas exceptionnel, mais ce n est pas cher et le cadre est tellement beau q on oublie le reste !

The property grounds are very beautiful. Staff is very attentive and the breakfast location is stunning. Breakfast was very tasty as well. Pool at Villa was quite large!

We didn't get the exact same villa I thought I booked (apparently there were 2 different ones but the pictures on booking.com were from another villa). The villa was not very clean and a bit dated (old paint coming off walls and a LOT of dead flies/bugs inside) but I would still consider it good value for the price we paid.

Beautiful nature around the hotel, and interesting museum. Friendly staff bringing room service all the way up to the room.

During our 4-night stay at ARMA, we encountered numerous frogs, bats and even a rat or a mouse on the inside of the ceiling of the villa one night that was gnawing on something. Strong smell of mold coming from the shower and toilet rooms. Interior is generally worn out - pillows and sofas are severely stained (same goes for sunbeds). Refrigerator super old and unclean. The sink was broken and had a sign on it. We wanted to leave as soon as we arrived - but due to Nyepi, we had to stay for two nights. Retrospectively, we should just have left immidiately upon arrival. I ended up being refunded 100% from Booking.com, but I was asked by ARMA to pay 50 % directly to them after the refund, which I unfortunately did. Safe to say, we will not choose this place for another stay in Ubud, and we cannot recommend staying here.

The facilities, it’s a beautiful, surrounded by nature, peaceful and inviting wonderful place.

The clothes we sent for laundry were damaged, the staff, particularly the management failed to compensate for this. The offered us just a taxi to our next hotel. The value not only economical but sentimental of some of the items spoiled were difficult to compensate but it is basic to separate colors from whites when laundry is done and the management could have been more understanding. We had a very nice time before that incident and it kind of ruined that part of the trip. We felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable just for speaking out and asking for support.

Everything was just really, really wonderful; we felt loved and taken care of in every way. Would love to go back. Just so thankful for finding Arma Museum & Resort and their welcome. Just a magical bliss!

Die Anlage ist sehr, sehr schön. Gross, in einem wundervollen Garten. Direkt an einem Reisfeld, mit einem Lotusteich. Die Räume sind grosszügig und bequem.

Es gibt nicht ausreichend Wasserflaschen im Zimmer. Auf Anfrage bringen sie zwar 4 statt 2 Flaschen. Aber das ist zu wenig für Bali. In allen anderen Hotels hatte ich freien oder mehr als ausreichenden Wasserzugang erlebt.

Arma Museam and Park

Room was not clean upon arrival, dirty towels and the rooms are clearly outdated and in need of renovation. The hotel promotes sustainability and environmental awareness, but having to run the shower for five minutes before getting warm water contradicts that message. Water pressure was also weak. Arma and his family are kind and welcoming people, which we appreciated. However, some of the staff — not all — provided service that was far below what I would expect from Arma’s standards. Overall, the hotel rooms urgently need an upgrade. Apart from the Arma Museum, I do not understand how this property maintains such a high rating.

Arma Museum & Resort was the highlight of our stay in Bali. I can't recommend this place enough. It is a true tropical oasis in busy Ubud. You could literally have a great Ubud holiday without leaving the hotel/museum grounds. It has the Balinese culture as a centrepiece, the grounds were amazing and the staff were too.

We spent the first night in a Deluxe room which was noisy and had a bad shower over the bath thing happening which wasn't a vibe, and paid to upgrade to a villa (with a pool) after that and it was worth every penny.
