It was such a wonderful experience staying here. The hosts, Michael and Dilla, were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, the place was comfortable, and you get a beautiful view of a corner of Padang city. Thank you for the great hospitality

Die Besitzer der Unterkunft sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns jederzeit wie zu Hause. Wir durften die Küche benutzen, konnten einen Top Scooter ausleihen und erhielten jeden Morgen ein leckeres Frühstück. Das Internet war in Ordnung und das Bett bequem. Es gab eine heisse Dusche.

Leider lief während eines Sturms in der ersten Nacht Wasser in unser Zimmer und durchnässte unser Gepäck. Was natürlich eigentlich ein NoGo ist. Auch ins Badezimmer drang beim Sturm Wasser ein.

She radiates joy, absolute sweetness, and a zest for life. Michael is also a very welcoming host, always ensures everything is very clean, always ready to provide advice on travels, and help wherever he can. The room has queen bed, good air con, hot water shower - everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Extrem liebeswerte Gastgeber. Sie versuchen wirklich bei allem zu helfen und wir haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. Sie haben uns Essen gebracht, das Frühstück war mega lecker, Roller gemietet. Extrem günstig Laundry gemacht. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Homestay sehr empfehlen!

Vllt nur als Vorschlag noch eine Seife in den Zimmern :) ansonsten wirklich alles top!

Alles Positive aufzuschreiben würde den Rahmen hier komplett sprengen 😊 Alles war einfach wunderbar. Ich war insgesamt 13 Nächte dort. Michael und Dila sind mega toll. Hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend in jeder Situation. Ich habe mich wirklich wie zuhause gefühlt. Ich konnte jeden Tag in der kleinen Küche kochen. Das Zimmer und generell das Homestay waren extrem sauber und ordentlich. Es ist ländlich und außerhalb von Padang das bedeutet es war ruhig und entspannend. Im Wohnbereich hat man einen tolles Ausblick über die Reisfelder. 😍 Einfach auch grandioses Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ❤️ Und auch ein Roller kann dort einfach ausgeliehen werden.

Mila homestay is the perfect place where to stay in padang. A bit outside of the chaos of the city and with a beautiful view on the countryside. The room is functional and has everything it needs. When booking, be aware that some rooms have AC and some don't. Dila and Michael are just so nice and ready to help. They created a very cozy and familiar place. I definitely recommend this place🫶

Sehr liebe und nette Vermieter. 😊👌 Die Unterkunft liegt am Rande von Padang und bietet somit Ruhe und Natur. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und das Bett war sehr bequem. Man hat die Möglichkeit selbst zu kochen oder man kann zusammen mit Dila & Michael essen. Jederzeit sehr gute Kommunikation mit den beiden. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit vor Ort einen Roller zu mieten. Diese sind sehr gepflegt und lassen sich super fahren. Vielen Dank für die schöne und unkomplizierte Zeit.🫶

I had an amazing experience at this homestay. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They picked us up from the airport, which made our arrival completely stress-free. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning, and they were always happy to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made the stay special. The rooms were spotless, very well maintained, and equipped with everything you need — including reliable hot water in the shower and air conditioning, which made it very comfortable. Honestly, I only wish I could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, authentic, and comfortable stay.

The accommodation is in a beautiful and peaceful area overlooking the mountains. However it's also convenient with many stores nearby. The hosts are incredibly kind ,hospitable and always happy to help or give recommendations. Highly recommend!

Michael en Dila runnen hun homestay met veel enthousiasme. Niets is hun te veel. Ondanks dik vertraagde vlucht stonden ze 'gewoon' klaar om ons naar de accommodatie te brengen. Ontbijtruimte is prachtig met uitzicht over de rijstvelden, ontbijt zelf is verrukkelijk. Volgende dag was Michael gehele dag onze uitstekende gids die uitgebreid de tijd nam ons de omgeving te laten zien en ons bovendien naar onze volgende verblijf te brengen.

Voor langer verblijf is kamer wellicht iets aan de kleine kant, maar onoverkomelijk is het eerlijk gezegd niet.

Absolutely perfect stay at Mila Homestay! Everything was spotless — super clean room, a big comfortable bed, hot shower, and great AC. The breakfast (made by Michaël) was delicious — and even served with a smile if you oversleep by more than an hour 😄 But the real highlight was the hosts, Dila and Michaël. They are truly the best hosts you could wish for — incredibly kind, helpful, and genuine. They helped us with everything: transportation, tickets, and local tips. Dila took us to the city and market several times and always managed to get us amazing deals. We feel so lucky to have met them — not just as hosts, but now as friends. ❤️ We can’t recommend Mila Homestay enough!✨️🔝

The accommodation is new. The rooms are simple but very nicely furnished and you have everything you need. Breakfast is included and you can enjoy the view of the rice fields. Michael and Dila are excellent hosts, very helpful and lovely, and do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. I had a very good time there, far away from the noisy city centre. Highly recommended.

FONCEZ !!! Honnêtement et très honnêtement c’est LE logement à réserver sur PADANG. De part le rapport qualité/prix avec DOUCHE CHAUDE, bon lit, propreté de la chambre, isolation, etc… Mais également pour la GENTILLESSE sans fin de Mikael et Dila. J’avais vu les bon commentaire concernant leur logement et nous ne pouvons que approuver tout ce qu’il se dit à leur sujet. Ils vous aideront sur TOUS ce dont vous aurez besoin concernant votre voyage. Dila est une local donc elle saura vous renseigner au mieux et Mikael pourra faciliter encore plus l’échange si vous parler français. 🥇

Dila y Michael son unos anfitriones geniales. La habitación es cómoda y muy limpia, con aire acondicionado. El desayuno completo y riquísimo, con unas vistas increíbles. En nuestro caso, ellos mismos se ofrecieron a recogernos y llevarnos (por un precio muy inferior al de Grab) tanto al aeropuerto como al puerto, ayudándonos a comprar los billetes del ferry. Si volvemos a Padang, repetiremos con ellos segurísimo. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

I recently stayed alone at “Mila Homestay.” From the moment I arrived, I experienced the extraordinary hospitality of the homestay's owner and manager, Dila and her husband, Michel. I arrived rather late that day, because my flight from Jakarta was delayed. I was immediately offered a complimentary dinner with martabak, which of course I gladly accepted. The room I stayed in was not very large, but comfortable with good air conditioning, stable and strong wifi, and a bathroom with hot water. Mila Homestay is located a bit on the outskirts of Padang, but that didn't matter because it was actually enjoyable to take a morning walk in the rice fields and local villages behind the homestay. I will definitely stay at Mila Homestay again if next time I go to Padang!

Nous y sommes retournés parce que nous nous sommes attachés à Dila et Mikael homestay calme,propre à la fois proche du centre ville mais situé à proximité de champs et de rizières.je le recommande fortement ne serait ce que par l accueil que vous réserveront Dila et Mikael en espérant que vous passerez un aussi agréable séjour que moi et ma femme.

Pour le prix les prestations sont plus que correctes mais le plus cest...les personnes tellement adorables que ne pas les rencontrer aurait été une faute impardonnable,je remercie dieu de m'avoir permis de les croiser dans ma vie.Je leur souhaite réussite et bonheur et j 'espere que d autres personnes auront cette chance de les côtoyeret de partager cette énergie positive.Je crois qu'il me semble futile après ces propos de fortement vous conseiller de vous reposer dans leur havre de paix et de gentillesse. Mikael et Dila sont un couple top, ils sont venus me chercher à l’aéroport, m’ont indiqué les lieux que je pouvais visiter, m’ont fait visiter la ville le soir, il y avait la fête à padang pour les 365 ans de la ville. Mikael est français, il est à l’écoute de vos désirs. J’ai pu manger le soir avec eux et m’ont organisé mon taxi partagé pour le lac Maninjau pour moins de 4€. Bref vous pouvez y aller c’est top..

The hospitality of the owners is the highlight! They are truly unique people, light on this world… I’m so glad to made the decision to stay on their place and ended up meeting such a wonderful people! We arrived late night, hungry and they took us for a dinner at a local place with really good Indonesian food! They go above and beyond to take care of the guests! Also the accommodation is new, comfortable bed, new aircon and nice views! Strongly recommend to everyone

The best place I've ever stayed full stop. Phenomenal hosts who went over and above to make sure everyone was looked after and had the best time ever in padang. It may seem like it's a bit out of the way but it's a 2 dollar grab to town and it's a lovely quiet place out in the village. Don't hesitate to book here

Het ligt wat verder uit het centrum tussen prachtige rijstvelden. Op de bovenverdieping heb je een adembenemend zicht terwijl je aan het ontbijten bent. De gastvrouw Dila is de meest vriendelijke en behulpzame vrouw dat wij al zijn tegengekomen. Ze gaf tips over waar we de beste koffie konden vinden en mooiste plekjes in old town Padang. Na een lange busrit had zij speciaal gekookt voor ons. De lekkerste tempeh dat we hier al gegeten hebben. Een tip vraag naar haar vers gemaakt kruidenthee! Jammer genoeg hebben we haar man Mickael niet kunnen ontmoeten. We hadden wel contact via WhatsApp. Daarin is hij ook bijzonder gastvrij en even enthousiast als zijn vrouw. De kamer is ongelofelijk netjes met een groot!!! bed. Dus wat verder uit het centrum maar wij kunnen het alleen maar ten zeerste aanraden!

Didn't expect to be greeted with such kindness and compassion from the two owners. They're a couple (French and Indonesian) who set up a homestay and are currently building it up. They were so chatty and curious, helping my girlfriend who had hurt her ankle during our trip. They also offered us so much advice on the local area. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. Rooms are basic but well AC'd. Also the location is incredible, overlooking beautiful rice fields.

I cannot recommend this stay enough. Dila, the host, was exceptional and so kind hearted that it taught me so much during my short 3 days there. It is a nice quiet location, and you can tell that Dila has put her all into making sure the guests have an amazing time. She is always there to answer questions and do everything she can to make you comfortable. She cooks a delicious breakfast with her sister, and likes to take her guests around Padang and show them beautiful things like the clear blue river deep in the village. Stuff you would never find on your own. She even noticed I liked crystals and rocks and showed me a crystal shop I would not have been aware of. I will always cherish my stay here.

Delicious complimentary breakfast! Super clean and comfortable room. Very kind hosts who were very helpful taking us around the city and arranging transport from the airport as well as to the next location in Sumatra. The location is also really nice - it’s located in a lovely little village on the outskirts of Padang which is really peaceful and beautiful.

The hosts were most welcoming, waiting for us at the airport and then, when we arrived at Loblus, showing us where everything is, including a water refill and free to use scooters. The room was super clean and the breakfast in the morning healthy and filling. Loblus had a family feel to it which we liked a lot. We really appreciated the hosts’ help in booking a shared taxi for us to get to Harau Valley - the drive was comfortable and safe and they even dropped us off to where the taxi was waiting which was very kind of them. Great value for money all round. Thank you - we will be back for a longer stay!

Dila is a wonderful host! She helped anytime and organized an island trip and also an airport transfer in the early morning. The area is really quiet and the bathroom has hot water with good pressure. I would LOBLUS highly recommended.

Great place to stay close to Padang and Mentawai. The room is very comfortable. AC works well. Breakfast is delicious. The area is surrounded by rice fields and it’s very beautiful to walk around for the sunset. Dila is very kind and welcoming. She borrowed us her scooter to go to the city center and she advised us on few restaurants and cafes. And we also had a chance to spend a day together. Dila showed us around Padang .. beautiful waterfall, jungles hike. The place is calm and we had a good rest. Totally recommend!

Wow just wow. Everything about this property was just perfect and Dalia went up and beyond to make us comfortable. We were able to do our laundry, borrow her scooter and she even drove us to the airport. I have never experienced such good hospitality and all for a very cheep price. Definitely stay here while in Padang you won’t regret it!!

I don't even know where to start: this is THE place to be when you visit Padang! The host Dila is incredibly sweet and welcoming. She makes you feel at home right away. She knows where to take her guests for local and cheap food, and she even knows some good options for vegetarians. Dila knows many hidden gems in and around Padang and she takes beautiful pictures and amazing videos of the places that she visits with her guests. The room is clean, and breakfast very tasty. I only stayed one night, but Dila already feels like a friend. I highly recommend her place to stay. The accomodation is outside of the center of town but don't let it stop you from staying there. Host, Dila, is one of the best hosts I've ever met. At a city where I don't have friends or people who can help me, I could feel relieved thanks to her concerns and helps everytime. She tried to meet every needs of the clients. Fasilities are clean and quite modern, so I didn't feel any inconvenience during my trip.

The accommodation is located little bit far from cener of city. BUT this is not that matter because we can still order taxis via app and Dila pick-up and drop-off when we want to go out !

Dila is really lovely and always tries to make her guests happy. We went snorkelling together and she showed me a beautiful waterfall. We often cooked together and the breakfast is always delicious. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable.

The place is a little bit fat from the center, but if you take a scooter you will arrive at the city center in 15 minutes. So it’s really worth it.

Dila is an amazing host and person, she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. She lent us her bike to use, even dropped us at the airport and made us a delicious breakfast each morning, as well as giving us lots of recommendations of where to go, what to do and see! Overall it was a very enjoyable experience made even better by Dila!

Dila is one of a kind person that you will meet during your travels. You will rarely see such genuine smile and kindness. Please come to her place, which is really good and cheap and enjoy her company. It will be nice memory.

Calm environment in a residential area. The room is clean with hot water shower. The breakfast is handmade, fresh and delicious. Dila is an amazing host with a shining personality and her family and neighbours are welcoming. Dila offered to pick us at the bus station (free of charge)she is disponible, helpful. She helped us during our stay to organise our transport and send one box back home and share some suggestions to visit around. Possibility to rent a motorbike to visit Padang and around.

We found LOBLUS by chance and it was wonderful. The place is very cosy, the rooms very clean, good value for money, but the most important and the most remarkable is DILAH. She is the nicest, kindest and most dedicated person we have met in Indonesia. If you have a couple of days or more, she will make your experience as rewarding as possible. She will get you all the food and fruit you want for breakfast, and even if you want to see crocodiles, she will wait with you for 3 or 4 hours until they show up! Hahaha I would definitely recommend her a million times. If you want to do a tour in Sumatra, I recommend you to talk to her and spend at least one day there. She deserves everything and more. A friend for life. Thank you DILAH.

This is truly a hidden gem in west Sumatra. The place exceeds all expectations as it is brand new, very modern and carefully cleaned every day. The breakfast offered by the host is very complete and flexible. And apart from all that, the host is an amazing person and will help you out with pretty much anything you might need with your trip to West Sumatra and Indonesia in general.

Very nice, modern, clean, comfortable room. Tasty versatile brekkie. Super nice host who helped us a lot. We ended up visiting the homestay three times between two trips outside of Padang. Besides the basic services of the stay the host took us shopping, helped to get a working Indonesian sim card for me, took us to a holiday lodge outside of Padang, took us back to Padang and in the end to airport. Very social personality. Speaks fluent English. For sure next time we visit Padang we'll stay here 😊

Been to Padang multiple times and wanted to stay away from the town and found this place. Fadhila was great host and the place was very clean. The price I paid here compared to my earlier stays were lower.

A bit out of city but easy access for people who are coming from Minangkabau International Airport or through Trans Sumatra Highway since this place is more nearer to the highway.
