Very local feeling while also access to commercial malls! Loved checking out the yunnan noodle shop and focaccia nerds for brekkie. Super friendly and helpful staff, super willing to assist with any questions or issues you might have. Very cool smart rooms with voice activated furniture. Short distance from all the big landmarks. Very wholesome and memorable experience!

Séjour très inconfortable : petites chambres extrêmement humides du fait de salle de bains mal isolées de la chambre, climatisation impossible à régler correctement qui entretient encore l’humidité et sont mal configurées par rapport aux tailles des chambres. Nous n’avons pas apprécié de voir à l’entrée de l’hôtel deux chats vivant enfermés dans une « pièce » de 1m2, juste pour « attendrir» les clients.

Wir verbrachten die letzte Nacht vor dem Abflug in dieser Unterkunft. Die Lage ist an sich völlig in Ordnung, Restaurants kann man erlaufen und den Rest organisiert man mit U-Bahn oder Uber. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, aber für wenige Nächte absolut ausreichend. Bitte schaut vorab, wo das Hotel liegt, es ist sehr leicht zu übersehen! Es liegt in einem Innenhof nach der Schranke.

Es war alles wirklich okay. Uns hätte sehr geholfen, wenn man an der Rezeption etwas englisch sprechen würde. Aber dank Übersetzter war die Kommunikation trotzdem gegeben.

Located in the nice area with close proximity with prominent shopping locations in Jing'an. Price was decent.

Overall, my stay was okay, but there were a few things that could be improved. First, the staff did not speak much English. Although they used a translation tool, communication was still not very smooth or convenient. Second, the room was not very soundproof. In the morning, I could clearly hear noise from nearby rooms, including repeated throat-clearing sounds from someone (I am not sure if it was the guest or the staff), which was quite unpleasant. Third, the location is in a good area, but the hotel is roughly between two metro stations. This means you need to walk a bit to reach either station, which may not be ideal if you have luggage or prefer easier access to public transport.

Fantastic location, large comfortable rooms for solo travellers and great bathrooms - when we saw how good the hotel was, we decided to stay longer in Shanghai and they let us keep the same rooms. Also there's a couple of beautiful cats who live at the hotel. 😻

Some loud noise from neighbouring rooms and the drains got a bit smelly when it was raining.

Hotel, location and the rooms are just great. Latest technology. I got Superior Double and my room was amazing. Also its view was great. One of the best rooms I stayed recently.

DND fee & the staff... 1 - DND Fee: When you pay with card, it asks you to pay either in USD (or your home currency) or in CNY. As you know, if you click on home currency, they charge you %5 extra. So I'd always choose the local currency. But their machine chooses USD automatically in 5 seconds. So it cost me %5 more just because the settings of their machine. 2- The Staff: When I explained them the situation, showed them the charge on credit card, and asked for their help, they were pretty 'annoyed' with me. Even though there was no single customer waiting. They just wanted to be 'done'. They claimed that it is my bank's fault. Once they refunded, and charged me again, I chose the CNY. And they were surprised to see that the charge was lower this time! I asked them if I can report this, so they can change it for the future guests, they pretty much did nothing. I told them that I should report this to their manager or I'll write it on Booking.com, guess what, they preferred that I write it on Booking.com. (Also all these are happening on Google Translate since no one speaks English)

Very well located in the amazing location of Jing' An, next to multiple amazing restaurants and coffee shop! Staff were helpful and the cats very cute.

The room was a little bit tight, but as I am very tall and traveling with big luggages it was a bit complicated. But if you're traveling light it shouldn't be of any issues!

Sehr saubere und ruhige Unterkunft. Kommunikation an der Rezeption hat einwandfrei geklappt. Liegt in einer ruhigen Straße, gegenüber gibt es gleich einen netten Coffeeshop. Bis zur U-Bahnstationen sind es um die 10 min. zu Fuß in beide Richtungen.

Do not stay in the rooms on the ground floor, the one I stayed had only a small window which was looking to the wall with no view. There was a slight smell from the restroom.

the location is very convenient : near the shopping malls. The staff is kind. Although my room is located between 3rd and 4th floor where is not accessible by the lift, there's a staff who helped us to move our luggage. The hotel provided free beverage and tooth brush as well.

Great little gem hidden away in the heart of Shanghai. The room and bathroom was spacious and the heated toilet seat was a nice surprise haha. The bed was super comfy and having a projector and screen with lots of movies included was a great way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The shower was powerful and did a great job in waking you up in the morning. I also appreciated the complimentary soft drinks in the room and throughout the hotel. This was a nice touch to a great hotel experience.

The staff only said 2 words at check-in and then handed me my room card without any information, instructions, directions etc. I can appreciate the language barrier so always try ti make an effort to speak the local language when travelling but a “hello”, “enjoy your stay” or “thank you” wouldn’t have hurt. It did not have a negative impact on my overall experience however

Le personnel : Un groupe de jeunes à l’écoute, très aimable, souriant et chaleureux, je l’ai ai adoré. Le cadre : Pour le décor, à l’accueil vous avez des figurines de mangas (Slam dunk, Naruto…). Il y a même 2 chats ! Les chambres quant à elle était super propre et très moderne. J’ai trouvé le cadre vraiment magnifique, je me suis senti comme chez moi. L’emplacement : Situé et centralisé dans le plus beau district de Shanghai, Jing’an. Proche de son temple (-1km) près de beaucoup de centre commerciaux et aussi du Xuhui district (~2km), un must à faire si vous venez ici. L’emplacement est vraiment idéal, vous pouvez sortir la nuit et vous balader dans toutes les directions pour explorer. Si je reviens à Shanghai, j’hésiterai pas à revenir.

Laundry room constantly busy, and machine doesn't fully dry clothes meaning they didn't smell fresh after washing. Location of hotel is hard to find.

Great quality for the price (April 2025). The room was decent in size, modern, pleasant decoration and good quality of amenities. They provide some extra soft drinks and water every day, which is a nice gesture. the staff is friendly and will try to help. The location is very convenient, although not super close to a metro station.

The gym is in a different building, across the alley. Not a big deal, but this makes it less accessible. The washing machine has no clear instructions in English.

All’ingresso dell’hotel due poveri gatti vengono tenuti reclusi h24 in una teca di vetro. Posizione comoda perché centrale ma dovrebbe essere indicato meglio l’accesso attraverso una stradina privata poco visibile (anche con Amap). Stanze veramente molto piccole.

A great place to stay when in Shanghai. Loved the location, the staff here super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. We liked the place so much we came back to it and rebooked it on our second trip to Shanghai. We are grateful that we could leave our luggage free of charge. The free water, Coca Cola, Fanta, tea and coffee (that is actually tasty!!) Is a nice touch. Also, the hotel provides umbrellas for the guests which is also cool. Thank you for everything! Ps. There are also two very cute kitties in the hotel!

I love the location, the staff, how clean it was, value for money, the fact that water, coke, sprite, Fanta, good coffee and tea are provided at all times. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly. They even have umbrellas to tent for free for guests, we could also leave the luggage for days we were traveling to a different town for free.

Very good location .Freindly n helpful staffs. Nearby got alot of shopping malls n eatries n cafes. Waliking distance to alot of restaurants. Opposite the hotel there is a cafe named Marmalade . Great coffee n a hair Salon named Jane. Very gd. Got free laundry which was very helpful since we stayed for 9 nights. Eventhough there was one washing machine n one dryer n sometimes u have to wait ur turn. There are clothes steamer available too. Hairdryer was powerful. The cleaning of the roo.m was ok except the floors was not vacumn properly. But is a small problem

The hotel is inside a group of buildings, including a sports centre, so be aware of this and expect a decent flow of people outside the hotel going to play basketball in the gym. If you're after top of the line facilities and breakfast buffet this isn't the place for you, but they're also not claiming to be.
