Location was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom was spotless. The inclusion of a fan was great as it was a warm night. Access to kitchen/lounge area was useful to access extra milks, water etc.

The man working the Friday afternoon and Saturday was so kind, friendly and supportive when we had a difficult situation on check out day with a broken down car full of my daughters uni gear. Thank you Rooms clean and comfy. Would highly recommend.

Having to pay for parking, when not busy , we booked an apartment but it wasn't it was just two rooms no lounge area and very small double beds, Kitchen on a different floor.

Wat een brilliant idee om een airfryer in de kitchenette te zetten. De host is zeer vriendelijk en ontzettend behulpzaam. Wat fijn om zo ontvangen te worden. Persoonlijke ontvangst is er niet zo vaak meer.

Ben niet zo'n fan van een springveren matras maar wel prima geslapen.

Staff (superb), location, layout and facilities.

Could not open more than one small window - we sweltered in the heat wave. We needed some outside airflow overnight, notwithstanding the fans which were supplied. This needs fixing!!!

The location was good right next to the sea front and pier.

We were right on the top floor there was no lift and it was all very dated. The shower hardly worked, the single beds were very uncomfy and there was no lounge area, the tiniest fridge in the world just wasnt what we were expecting but we made the most of staying there.

Great location but that is about it really. Get what you pay for i suppose.

The whole experience was poor to be honest. Took some time to sort out keys as they had codes wrong. I didn't 'expect' help with luggage but an offer wouldn't have gone amiss. (especially as it was rather obvious I was struggling a bit with the stairs and luggage) Obviously its no smoking, but with staff smoking in the so called courtyard, room filled with the smell anyway. End of the day it did what we needed, but there is much better locally for the cost.

Room wasn’t as advertised. Once I booked the room a message came through telling me all the discrepancies in the description. Was I happy to still stay? I said no I want to cancel, which was then refused. I am still but to receive a refund.

Am închiriat 2 camere,2 adulti si doi copii.In aplicatie apărea cu baie comuna la cele doua camere.Cand am ajuns la cazare,erau de fapt 3 camere cu 1 baie comună. Parcarea este pe strada,nu in curte la pensiune,doar contra cost.... Mirosea urat in camere. Mobila veche,ușile vechi,cele doua camere construite pe un garaj...ceva de genul. La dus este un încălzitor instant,si dacă nu ești atent, te oparesti.

Bed was to hard , pillows are cheap not soft at all , dirty carpets and couch stains , shared bathroom way to small , kitchen was big but I haven’t used or seen anyone use it , I’d convert that into a bathroom with a bathtub as well , parking is 15£ per hotel day not per 24 hours.

Was not clear it was a room in a shared house / shared bathroom. Advertised with parking. Wanted to charge extra £15 to park or you have to find street parking and walk back. Not acceptable.

Given a room in basement, windows overlooked by other windows very close, worse was the room felt airless. In fact I went out at midnight. It wasn’t so much the heat as stuffy. ( no fresh air circulation or air con ) The beds were not big ( 2 singles) so my feet were pressed against the board at the base of the bed. Oddly the tv was situated by the bed, not in the living area, rendering sofa and chairs pointless really. Advertising as parking, but car park was full.

Kitchen was nice and new but separate from the two rooms where was quite hot because it was part of the Extention.

The staff are welcoming and nice, the room had a fan in it which was very nice. Had all the essentials like shampoo, body wash, hairdryer etc. Also had a mini fridge which kept everything cool, also the smart tv was very nice! Also very close to the beach

We thought it was a solo apartment, but it was a shared building with multiple people staying next door. There was no elevator so we had to carry big luggage through small staircase. The place had 2 bedrooms and 1 private bathroom which got the job done for 4 people. The area was nice next to the beach with bus nearby. It was a practical stay worth the money.

No elevator, was a hassle to carry out luggage up the flight of stairs. Our bathroom had holes in the wall. It was good value wise and the staff was friendly.

Ei folosesc parcarea proprietatii doar sa mai incaseze bani. Avea loc de parcare in curte dar nu ne a permis accesul , deoarece voiau £15. Am fost nevoiti sa venim cu bagajele de departe , de unde am gasit loc de parcare pe strada.

The duvet on the bed was only as wide as the mattress so not very cosy.

Knowing that your renting the place staffs shouldn’t be allowed to go in to your place/room when your away. Very disappointing as you leave all your belongings there thinking it’ll be safe enough but came back the staff went to clean and change towel.

One of the best airbnb in Southsea near the sea. Personnel is very helpful especially Tuvo who helped us a lot with taxi and our food deliveries as we are having problems on these area.

We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived and shown to our room. The room itself was beautifully presented, and everything was very clean. The bed was very comfy, and the bedding smelled so fresh.The room was also excellent value for money. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend staying at Inn by the sea. Thank you for having us!

This inn style hotel is right by the south pier beach and is very convenient by public transport, buses from Portsmouth harbour train station bus station, stop right outside the inn. I liked that there is a 24 hour secured gated entry system, this provided peace of mind regarding personal safety. Our easy accessible ground floor apartment was just the right size for a double bed dulxe with everything provided at no additional cost. Everything was spotlessly cleaned to high standard, there wasn't a single dirt, damp or mould anywhere to be seen. Sea view was added bonus and looked peacefully beautiful in the evening

No onsite cafe or restaurant so we cooked own evening meal and then in morning checked out approximately one hour 30 mins before check out time on order to get the bus into Portsmouth High Street on time for McDonalds breakfast. There was no first aid box in the apartment.

They said there were no rooms and behaved very rudely. Spoke terribly — I’ve never experienced such bad service before. I’m attaching a video so you can see how they spoke to us — unbelievable behaviour. ed words like “fucking go from hotel” and “f*** off”.

В туалете не работала батарея, поэтому не смогли принять душ. Были предоставлены два 2-х местных номера, а бронировали 1 3- х местный номер.

Late night party on one night contrary to house rules

No breakfast but Southsea Beach Cafe just across the road which was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. TIVO was especially exceptional and couldn't of asked anymore of him. He was there upon arrival until departure always available and ensuring we were comfortable and everything was all okay. Also we had unfortunate circumstances and needed to stay an extra night of which he arranged without any trouble at all. We will definitely be arranging to stay there whenever we have to come down to Southsea.

Convenient location with fantastic transport links and positioned within good walking distance of many of my favourite spots in Southsea. Very friendly staff, and my room was pleasantly comfortable and convenient to check in and out of.

The bolt to lock the shared bathroom didn't quite move all the way - it was enough to lock it, but not enough to switch the sign on the front from vacant to engaged to indicate it was in use.

The amenities, location, comfortable homely atmosphere, everything worked, there was a lounge and kitchen for the guests, a Kettle with coffee, tea bags, biscuits and Persian rug in the room, quality TV with YouTube, value for money and late check in for Ferries arriving after 11pm. The host greeted me personally at around 11pm, and there was a keycard lockbox for even later check-in. The South Parade Beach and Pier is just across the road, the building is lovely like a mini Taj Mahal, carpeted, cosy and heated in December when I stayed here.

Massive room in excellent location. Bed comfortable and room very clean. Had great little kitchen where we could make dinner and breakfast. Great bathroom and shower. Kind staff. Good instructions on available free parking close by. Close to beach and also able to walk into main area of town.
