Uitzicht en het comfort.

Het ontbijt was goed maar niet helemaal ons ding. We hadden de indruk dat de yoghurt hergebruikt werd want proefde zurig en de potjes waren niet telkens geseald waardoor we 1x voorhadden dat er nog müsli in zat van wie??

Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich! Mitten im Urwald, absolut ruhig und jede Menge großer und kleiner Tiere. Wir hatten leider etwas Pech mit dem Wetter, es war sehr windig und regnerisch, aber auch da hatte die Gegend ihren ganz eigenen Charme. Und durch das Kaminfeuer konnte man es gut draußen auf der Terrasse aushalten. Die ausgeschriebenen Rundwanderungen über das Gelände sind absolut zu empfehlen!

Nous avions la maison Citronnier avec une vue magnifique sur la nature, de quoi ne plus quitter la terrasse !!! On se sent comme à la maison dans cet endroit. La nature, les animaux, les rencontres avec les ouvriers de la ferme, la piscine au sommet... Waouh !

L environnement était ouf ! La végétation c est magnifique

Très bon accueil, le personnel est au top. Lodge est typique comme sur les photos mais en mieux ! Nous avons appréciez la terrasse couverte avec sa cheminée et la vue sur le Piton de la petite rivière noire. La coin piscine est super relaxant et très intimiste sachant que le soir nous étions les seuls à l'utiliser.

La ubicación de las casitas es genial, super aislado y con unas vistas impresionantes. La casita está muy bien equipada con todo lo necesario. Me encantó el porche con la chimenea, super acogedor. El desayuno está bien, te lo traen en una cestita cada mañana y las cenas que encargamos algunos días super generosas de cantidad y ricas también.

Había muchisimos mosquitos en la zona de la piscina. El desayuno es todos los días igual y se puede hacer un poco repetitivo si te quedas muchos días.

Het is een prachtige locatie met erg vriendelijke mensen. Je kunt eten bestellen en dat wordt voor je klaargezet in de accommodatie. Je hebt veel ruimte en privacy bij het huisje en er is veel te doen!

Un lieu magique au milieu de la montage luxuriante ! Un vrai havre de paix. Petits déjeuners livrés le matin sur la terrasse et possibilité de commander les dîners en avance ou de faire un barbecue le soir car il n’y a pas de restaurants ouverts le soir autour de Chamarel. Vraiment une super expérience dans un lodge très propre et bien équipé.

Das überaus nette Personal. Besonders die Führungen mit Jean, der uns viel über Mauritius erzählen konnte. Die Natur und die Spaziergänge auf der tropical Farm. Man fühlte sich in seiner lodge wie in einer eigenen Farm in Afrika. Es war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis.

Die Hand- und Geschirrtücher könnten vielleicht etwas häufiger gewechselt werden und eine Wäscheleine wäre gut. Das schmälert aber in keinster Weise das tolle Erlebnis.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans le lodge la Remise,authentique maison créole. Nous avons aimé la connexion avec la nature , la beauté du lieu et le personnel au petit soin. La possibilité de commander les repas pour le dîner est très appréciable.

Le domaine en pleine nature, très bien entretenu, avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et des balades fléchées pour se promener. Un joli potager, quelques animaux et des chevaux en liberté qui déambulent… très reposant. Le lodge bien équipé et les services très bien organisés, notamment les repas proposés.

Rien à part quelques moustiques…

C est un endroit incroyable. Le logement est superbe face à la nature sans vis a vis. La ferme est très très jolie. Un grand merci à Christelle et à Jean François, ainsi qu'à toute l équipe.

מקום עם טבע, נוף מרהיב, צוות אדיב. הגענו ממש בסוף הצ׳ק אין, פגשנו במקרה איש צוות שכבר היה בדרכו החוצה, הוא חזר חזרה כדי להראות לנו את החדרים, בסבלנות רבה. בערב נהננו מהאח- יש במקום עצים וציוד תבערה

שימו לב שהצ׳ק אין הוא עד 18:00, הם משאירים הוראות איך להכנס לבד, אבל ההתמצאות לא פשוטה

Wir haben uns fast ausschließlich im Außenbereich aufgehalten. Drinnen war es etwas düster.

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum Entspannen und zur Ruhe zu kommen. Der Pool auf der Spitze des Hügels ist einfach der Wahnsinn. Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück wurde jeden Tag direkt auf die Terrasse gestellt. Wir waren 3 Tage dort und würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Die Unterkünfte sind gut ausgestattet, es wurde dort alles mit Liebe und vielen Gedanken eingerichtet.

Draussen in der Natur, sehr schön/ stylisch eingerichtet. Das Minipool „on top“ mit Rundumsicht. Tägliche Reinigung.

Absolute Ruheoase mit gigantischem Ausblick.

Man muss mit Insekten klar kommen.

Personal super nett; Unsere Hütte war super mit voll ausgestatteter Küche, Kamin auf der Terrasse und tollem Ausblick.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut es hätte nur ein bisschen abwechslungsreicher sein können.

Es gibt unfassbar viele Mücken.

The place is gorgeous, my partner and I were amazed on how peaceful it was. I have some problem on sleeping at home but in the Perchoir I was shocked on how well I slept . The sounds of those birds really calmed me. The food was great. I would like to thank each and everyone who made our stay an unforgetable one 🥰🥰🥰

Die Aussicht mitten in den Dschungel. Jeden Morgen stand das Frühstück in unserer Lodge liebevoll bereit. Super Lage zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Unbedingt Mückenspray mitnehmen!!! Sehr weitläufige Anlage mit einem coolen Pool und Poolhaus und kleinen ausgewiesenen Wanderwegen. Pferde die zum grasen bis an Deine Lodge kommen.

Spezielle Zufahrt. Gutes Mietauto nehmen. Sehr holprig. Der Weg zum Pool ist sehr steil( man kann aber auch mit Auto hochfahren) Dafür ne super Aussicht

Super séjour dans cet havre de paix

Traumhafte Lage mitten in der Natur. Eigener Kamin auf der Terrasse zum Feuerr machen. Super um abzuschalten. Leckeres Frühstück wird direkt vor die Hütte geliefert. Abendessen kann auf Wunsch ebenfalls gebucht werden.

Viele Moskitos, was in der Natur natürlich vollkommen normal ist. Daher unbedingt ausreichend Mückenschutz mitnehmen. In den Hütten ist es dank Fliegennetz über dem Bett kein Problem.

Aussergewöhnliche Lage, eigenes Häuschen mit großer Veranda und Garten, gefühlt mitten im Dschungel. Wunderbarer Frühstückskorb, etwas mehr Obst wäre ein Hit! Super 24h-Honesty-Bar! Steak zum selber grillen war top!

Very peaceful property. Both cabins we stayed in presented great views over the valley. Pool on the top of the hill is great (could be bigger though). Staff is friendly and helpfull.

What didn't we like? This was, without a shadow of a doubt, our favorite stay in Mauritius. The staff were incredibly nice, the property is just absolutely beautiful and the pool was very refreshing (and clean). The house (or "chalet") is super cute and spacious, and the terrace and fireplace really glues it all together. Even though it's an eco lodge, the shower was modern and wifi stable. There are plenty of animals around, which makes things extra interesting. Horses are roaming free, there was even a monkey swinging around at times, and we even had a house cat, during our stay – we named him Hank.

Leaving. Honestly, that's it. Two nights was not enough – we could have easily spent a week here.

Tout était parfait! Nous étions à l'Albizia et nous avons adoré le calme, la beauté du paysage, l'agencement du gîte, la propreté irréprochable et bien sûr le barbecue. Les oeufs frais au petit déjeuner étaient délicieux. Nous avons passé deux nuits et nous avons regretté de ne pas y rester plus longtemps. Notre petite fille a adoré se ballader dans le potager et observer les animaux.

It I as a beautiful property which was very peaceful with beautiful views. The location was perfect and so close to 7 sands and ebony forest. Breakfast was delivered every morning with fresh juice, eggs, baguettes, yogurt and granola which was perfect. The facilities were great, allowing us to cook in evening. You can tell that care and consideration of the environment is central. There is were several options for the hike routes and it was nice to see the horses freely roaming around the property.

The only downside was the road up to the property, it was quite rough and rugged. If you have a smaller car, be mindful of this, I would suggest a suv style car if you are hiring a car.

If you want to get away from crowds, and city/town noise, this is a perfect location. The whole facility is located in a very beautiful part of the island (Chamarel). You feel like having a house in the middle of nowhere and can enjoy nature, sounds, animals, walks everyday. You can also order dinners, which were very tasty. We had our fireplace, and evening were super cozy and relaxing. Mosquitos didn't bother us at all (there were some, but repellent did the job). We enjoyed walks, which are available onsite, because the territory is huge. The pool on top of the hill with the nice views was amazing. Stay at this farm was exceptional.

Jedním slovem nádhera! Krásná chatička s veškerým vybavením v kuchyni. Krb, gril, posezení, každé ráno úžasná snídaně s donáškou až na terasu! Každý den doplněné dřevo. Bazének na vrcholu s dech beroucím výhledem je třešnička na dortu! Cestujeme hodně, vždy do jiné země, ale tak úžasně ubytovaní jsme ještě neměli!

the view was outstanding and the staff as well. Very helpful and welcoming. There was animals and horses roaming around and a herb garden available to make fresh tea. ingredients for their meals mostly sourced from the farm itself.

Maybe mix up the breakfast which was lovely but maybe a little variety in the selection. However, im sure it is what is localy sourced and available.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at La Vielle, the setting was stunning, our cottage tranquil and gorgeous, and the staff so friendly and accomodating. We loved walking the trails, visiting the plunge pool with the amazing vista, and the food was excellent. The best place I've stayed in Mauritius.

There was nothing we didn't like it was perfect!

Very scenic location, beautifull grounds, a lot of mosqitoes protection for inside and veranda. Short drive to nice small pool at the top of the hill. Beautifull views.

Kitchen equipment for cooking is replacing. Just 2 massive non stick soucepans sctrached completely. We had to get our own soucepan so we can book. 2 small pieces of fruits for breakfast was not enough (considering price).

Unique stay at a unique location - with all-around friendly and welcoming staff. Would do it again :-) Such a cute little house we had - and amazing delivered to door breakfast in the morning. We also ordered some meat to prepare ourselves a barbecue one night and absolutely loved it :-)

Mosquitos everywhere - but nothing the location can do about that :) and the pool was quite far away from our little house, but absolutely manageable.

From the first moment when Warren greeted us and gave us a tour of the Lodge, to saying goodbye to the team when checking out our trip was perfect. The views of the black river valley were nothing short of breathtaking! The room was clean and spacious, kitchen facilities more than adequate, the food they prepared for us fantastic and the location perfect to explore the local area. We couldnt have enjoyed our stay anymore than we did. Thank you for a truly amazing few days.

The mosquitos but you can't do anything about these and are expected. Plus mosquito rings and spray is provided for you too which was a great touch! We honestly couldn't find fault with La Vieille Cheminée.

Rien c'était top !

La Vieille Cheminée est un lieu unique, hors du temps et des sentiers touristiques de l'île Maurice. En pleine nature, le domaine permet de se ressourcer profondément. L'équipe est aux petits soins, et il est évident qu'ils sont réellement attachés à cet endroit. Tout est fait pour que l'on s'y sente bien et qu'on y reste! Une petite boutique met à disposition des articles de "première nécessité" ainsi que des plats cuisinés délicieux, le petit déjeuner servi en chambre est royal et on peut même commander des plats typiquement mauriciens à se faire livrer pour le dîner. Les équipements des loges sont pensés pour le maximum de confort, et bonus de la cheminée qui nous a permit de dîner au coin du feu chaque soir. Nous sommes restés 3 jours, nous aurions pu y rester 1 mois! La visite de la ferme avec Jean François nous a conquise, découvrir l'écosystème de la Vieille Cheminée était une expérience enrichissante et 100% nature. Nous recommandons, et y retournerons avec immense plaisir lors de notre prochain séjour à Maurice.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt, sehr schöne ruhige Lage inmitten der Natur. Das Haus ist toll, stillvoll hergerichtet, mit grossen Balkon/Terrasse und freiem Blick auf die Berge. Besonders hat uns der Rundgang über die Farm mit Angel ( Danke!!) gefallen. Wir konnten ganz frische Palmenherzen probieren, bekamen auch noch eine Kokosnuss direkt von der Palme und viele Infos zur Vegetation und über Mauritius. Der Frühstückservice war toll, Lieferung ins Haus, man musst nur noch die Eier braten... :-) Auch Abendessen gab es verschiedene Varianten zu bestellen, die man dann nur noch kurz fertigkochen musste.

L’isolement, aucun vis a vis, la proximité de la nature, la nourriture, l’autonomie la propreté la proximité a pleins de points d’interets en voiture dans le sud de l’ile Maurice, le domaine !

Grosse proximité avec les insectes, ca peut poser soucis pour ceux qui ne sont pas a l’aise avec.

L’accès à l’établissement est compliquée, il faudrait faire une route bétonnée pour plus de facilité

Very cozy farm in the middle of nature. The views from our little bungalow were breathtaking. The little cabin had everything you need to feel comfortable and it was extremely clean. The property is huge allowing for a lot of exploring. Staff was open and friendly.
