Absolutely loved the location. It was really good base to explore everything that North Wales has to offer. Lovely being directly across from Swallow Falls. Nice & quiet away from all the crowds. The staff were amazing and were so friendly and welcoming and were very helpful. The food was of a very high standard and the choice on the menu was incredible. My fave had to be the chicken malinese....highly recommend. Breakfast in the morning, you could explore the continental range and have a hot breakfast with choice of a full welsh with vegan option available. Breakfast rolls, eggs benidict, royale and egg on toast and able to choose the type of egg you wanted. You could also have porridge with the choice of honey or jam which was delicious 😋. The room I booked was a cosy double and when I walked in I thought I was in the wrong room, it was huge a massive double bed, bathroom with bath and shower and there was also bunkbeds so if you are travelling with family or in a group this room was big enough for you all. Very clean hotel throughout and you had an option of opting out of room service and if you did you would receive a free drink that night. What a great incentive. I would recommend you book a table for evneing meal as it can be very busy as not only hotel guests dine there. You also get free hotel parking just add your vehicle registration at reception when you check in m, you only have to do this once. And there was more than enough spaces for everyone. I will definitely be staying here again.

Apart from breakfast the food is pretty ropey. The room was like a cave. They good do with putting on some transport to Betws-y-Coed because the bus service is rubbish and there's no taxi service. Shower cubicle was too small.

Hotel was comfortable, tastefully decorated and the meals (dinner & breakfast) were both nicely cooked and presented. The cask ales were in good condition and well served in the hotel bar. The bedrooms were located at the rear of the property and were warm, clean, quiet and well appointed. The convenient hotel free parking with wide spaces was appreciated.

My friend and I concluded that the staff were generally a bit miserable because they were not being managed well. When you engaged with any of the staff, and made an effort to be friendly, the staff were pleasant, otherwise they were a bit sullen. However, the staff were attentive and polite. None of the guests we spoke with liked ordering food at the bar and felt table service would have been more appropriate, but suspect some of the guests dining outside may have eaten their food and left without paying, hence the need for pay before you dine. We did not like being asked to apply a tip to pre-payments, but were happy to apply a generous tip to the last payment we made. The hotel really shouldn't be asking for tips in advance?

Minor niggle but not much leg room when using the toilet in room 208! We ate in the restaurant and the food was very nice. That said, we swapped tables just as we were ordering - not sure if that caused confusion but the starter took 40 minutes to come out whilst the main took an hour (whilst others ordering a good time after us got their food within 15 mins). Not really a problem as it was nice to sit in the restaurant, but a slight niggle. Free regular coffee at breakfast but had to pay extra for a latte. Nice breakfast though so no complaints.

I wasn’t aware the rooms were in located behind the pub. It was a short walk to the accommodation block and it raining so consequently we got wet. If I had known about this I may not have chosen to stay there

Excellent stay, great location, comfortable spacious room, great restaurant and bar, very helpful staff. Was ideal base for us to stay in Snowdonia with our dog.

The buffet style breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Although our room was on the front of the hotel next to the main road our sleep was not disturbed at all as we could also hear the sound of the river coming over the Swallow Falls.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out our stay was lovely, can’t find fault with anything.

Breakfast was fine, nice little selection that's just enough variety. The rooms are in line for the other hotels in the area, which may seem more expensive but seriously the surrounding areas here are second to none! Lovely looking pub and clean. Manager and staff great and helpful so had no issues. Stopping in the hotel you have parking included and it is a large secure carpark so was happy leaving the van there.

Just seems alot per night for the room we had, first time staying in the area so can't compare to the hotel further along but both same kind of price range.

We needed the room for the night before our wedding day and it was lovely! We booked several rooms for the same night for other family members as well and all we're very happy with their stay. Our room was for my now husband and I and our two little ones and it was a very comfortable well sized room with plenty of beds (a double and two sets of bunk beds) and really lovely and clean. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities along with little packs of biscuits which the youngsters enjoyed immensely! My parents had a disabled access room, as my mother is in a wheelchair. My dad, who is her carer, has since greatly praised the room, specifically the wet room. All in all, we booked 4 rooms and everyone was more than happy with their stay and would stay there again. And the glorious Swallow Falls is just across the road as a bonus and well worth a look! 10/10!

The food was good, the bed very comfortable and the prices were reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful when around.

The service. The people were friendly and helpful, but every time I needed someone, checking in, ordering food and drinks etc, there was a queue and no one at the station. At one point I was waiting with 3 others and I could see bar staff in the kitchen dancing with the kitchen staff. 😂 The funniest thing was the tip request when paying. You pay for the food and drinks at the bar. Tips are for good service rendered, not services you hope will be rendered😂 Also, too much marketing. Download the app, sign up for newsletters on check-in, give us your contact info to use the Internet... Motorcyclists - they do have dedicated motorcycle parking, but it's right at the entrance and not visible from anywhere on the property. No anchors. .

The room was a hovel dark dingy no light small prison like window no air on could not sit on toilet normal had to site sideways as wall in way nicely decorated but NOT worth £200 would not recommend staff scruffy and rude not enough staff we had to queue to check in no reception at the busy bar queue 10 minutes for a drink wait 55 mins for COLD food prawns were frozen in middle , the table next to us waited over an hour for their food when it arrived it was cold they left full lamb cutlet meal requested full refund and left no atmosphere, over an hour for none to clean plates from table rude bar staff £3.50 for 8 burnt chips £5 for small can of rekordelig

This hotel was in a wonderful location and the staff were very friendly. The breakfasts were just what we needed to start busy active days. We really enjoyed our stay there and felt very relaxed.

The room was smaller than we expected, as we hadn't selected the cosy room and it was very cosy. However, it did not spoil the stay.

There rooms are very dark! A little brighter lighting would help and it was very warm at night but a fan was provided.

Prima hotel dat al iets ouder is, maar wel een leuke sfeer uitstraalt. De kamer was ruim, proper en had goede verduisterende gordijnen. Het ontbijt was lekker en uitgebreid. Je kon telkens iets van de menukaart bestellen en daarnaast had je nog een mooi buffet. De grote parking aan het hotel was heel handig. Als je de straat oversteekt kan je de watervallen bezoeken (tegen betaling).

Het avondeten in het restaurant vond ik persoonlijk iets minder. Gelukkig is er een gezellig stadje in de buurt waar je wel een aantal restaurants hebt.

Quaint location across the road from a pretty set of waterfalls

Overall was underwhelmed and felt misled by this property. The listing through booking.com, presents a picture of a well maintained, historic inn. There is no reference or photos to other accomodation buildings, and this presents the picture that you are staying in the inn. The reality is that most of the accomodation is in ancillary non historic buildings away / behind the historic inn. Whilst if this was made clear would be potentially fine (allow for an informed decision) however the lack of transparency has left a feeling of being tricked and deceived. The staff, whilst friendly are wildly junior and inexperienced. The dinner experience was an observation of one young guy working hard , whilst the other 3-4 workers chit chatting, making themselves coffees and overall ignoring guests unless they were standing in front of them. Breakfast was a bit better but the food itself was uninspiring and the worst of a 10 day trip through a Wales despite being one of the more expensive hotels

Beautiful building and surroundings. The property was very well maintained and decorated in a modern style, very plush. The room was very clean, modern, well presented and met our needs. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

High quality hotel with exceptionally friendly staff

Room was very comfortable. The ensuite was very clean. The bar was friendly and the food was good. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The option not to have your room serviced in return for a drink was a great idea.

Hanging towels was tricky as no where to put lots of them. Can't think of any other issues. It was a very good place to stay for a few nights.

The food was good, no more than good and some a bit tasteless. got the feeling toomany old white people complain about flavour and spices at this place. The one surly member of bar staff really sticks in the mind

I really don't think i have ever had such a lovely stay away as I did at the Swallow Falls Inn! From arrival we were welcomed in and first impressions were how beautiful the location and building was. We were staying for 4 nights and the location is perfect to visit many tourist locations. The room was fantastic 👌 love the option to opt out of a room clean to claim free drinks instead 😀 The food was outstanding, had breakfast all 4 mornings, and we ate 2 nights, one was our Anniversary and we really enjoyed it! Would like to shout out to Rob, Erin, Rhinallt, Jo and Jennifer ❤️ and I'm sorry if I missed off anyone, but these lovely people made the weekend as there was nothing they couldn't sort out, find or do for us! Nothing was to much trouble and it really made all the difference. Overall outstanding and will be back!!! 😎👍❤️

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut für alle Aktivitäten in Snowdonia. Es hat einen großen Parkplatz, auf dem Hotelgäste kostenlos parken. Die Betten waren komfortabel und im Zimmer kam man gut zu viert zurecht. Der Hund war auch völlig unproblematisch.

Das Essen war okay, aber mehr eben nicht. Das Frühstück ist typisch britisch - es gibt ein warmes Frühstück zur Auswahl und das Continental Frühstück beschränkt sich auf Toast / Croissant, Butter, Marmelade und Müsli (alles völlig in Ordnung, aber ich werde mich nicht daran gewöhnen :-)

Only one small window as we were in the ground floor so very hot although they supply a fan. A good walk to get to the village.

Beautiful location and the hotel was very pleasantly restored. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was the best we had in Wales. We took our motorcycles on tour and we were welcomed at this hotel. One of our other stays were not welcoming at all.

There was nothing I disliked about it.

Had to get the double bed split into a twin as requested but staff very helpful and sorted without any fuss. The till food ordering ticket system broke meaning a huge backlog in the kitchen. Had to wait for 2 hours for food but when it arrived it tasted great and staff couldnt have apologised more.

the location is brilliant for all of North Wales. The staff were very helpfull and pleasant. Having been newly renovated all was good and clean. The breakfast was very good poached eggs were excellent and a good variety of food both cooked and cereals with pastries. The room was very good and a comfortable bed.

There is no lift in the building so a room at the top is alot of stairs. The bar and dining area although vey good, you had to climb alot of stairs to find the toilets.

Everything about Swallow Falls exceeded our expectations and it eas good to be out of the hustle of Betws village centre. Great car park with generous marked-out spaces. We had a large room at the back of the property, with its own chairs and table on the deck outside the rear room door. Super king bed was comfy and room and bathroom spotlessly clean. This is the first hotel ever to read our request for de-caf tea and coffee and put lots of both in our room - full marks. We took advantage of the green clean scheme and enjoyed our free glasses of wine each night. We ate 5 out of our 6 nights at Swallow Falls and had a good choice, so we didn't repeat an item from the menu. The breakfasts were very filling and we didn't need midday meals - just ice creams in the 30°+ temperatures. There is so much to see and do in the area, it's a great choice for a North Wales holiday.

This is really picky - the shower tray was a large size but the bi-fold doors made it difficult to get in and shut the door - if someone was above average size they would have to shower with the doors open!

The soap dispenser in the shower had some substance in it which might have been bacterial growth. The one near the sink didn’t have that. I think housekeepers should pay better attention to things like that and replace the dispensers like that. I noticed only after washing with it which was gross. Also the TV wasn’t a smart one, it just had some of the UK channels and some useless foreign ones. No Netflix or anything like that. For the price and a higher level hotel that seemed unreasonable.

La habitación no tiene heladera y no nos permitieron poner en la heladera del hotel la comida que teníamos. Una de las mozas que nos atendió en el primer desayuno no nos dijo ni Buenos días. Nos explicó rápido y de mala manera en qué consistía el desayuno. No pudimos entender lo que nos decía.

The only issue we had was with the food in restaurant. On more than one occasion we had to complain that food the was cold and on one occasion was not as described on the menu.

The room was spacious, homely feel, bed comfy and good value for money. The staff went above and beyond to help. Zoey the manager was fantastic 5*..

The food at the restaurant/ pub was a let down bit disappointing could not eat it. Second plate arrived and was worse than the first., reheated luck warm fish not good. Bathroom in room smelt of urine in the shower area / shower seat.

Every member of staff was friendly and professional. Room was super comfy, nicely decorated and even though the lampshade fell off in the middle of the night, this didn’t distract from the charm of the room. Made me jump at 2am though… Food was excellent. Yes, they had run out of several things, but in fairness, they had had a lot of people stop for food who weren’t residents. Second choices were good, food was cooked beautifully. The tomahawk was cooked to perfection. Everything was presented beautifully. Breakfast was cooked well and came quickly. There was a longer than usual wait for food on the second night, but as we were told this upfront, it wasn’t an issue and the staff were working non stop. Plenty of parking, good sized spaces. WiFi was fine for what we needed, good atmosphere in the restaurant and lots of spaces outside.

Wine choice was limited to three whites, plus a fourth that wasn’t on the menu. Sauv blanc was good, but they ran out of this too. To be fair, a drinks delivery did arrive the next morning. Personally, I can’t stand American wine, so would have preferred an Italian Pinot Grigio.
