A pool would have been nice during the humid, hot days we stayed there.

Reviewed May 17, 2026The property is in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are spacious and comfy with a kitchenette area. I love their garden with koi fish. The staff is extremely accommodating and easy to contact. Feels like home away from home. I’m a returning guest and I will come back!!

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Breakfast was good and perfectly located. The gentleman that served us breakfast was very welcoming and took it upon him to cater for a friend that could not take bacon and sausage by arranging something else which she enjoyed. This is what we call excellent hospitality.
On arrival, we had a terrible encounter with Thobile (with her so-called visitor). Exhausted from an 8hr convention, we needed someone with some empathy, which she did not have. She was not friendly with us as guests. When the need arose, she did not want to apply logic at all when she onboarded us. It was a 'No it must be done this way only' in an unprofessional manner that was condescendingly spoiling the whole stay at the facility. We had to stay because we had already paid, and the facility was what we needed. She gave us a patronizing attitude till we left. She needs to be made to understand what is expected of her on the business she is in if perhaps she is newly employed.

Reviewed Apr 5, 2025The location was perfect for my needs. I'd tried to find a B&B closest to where I was to work during my stay in Durban using booking.com. And it was within walking distance. Shops and restaurants were close by as well. Host Nick made me feel at home right away. I was greeted on arrival and introduced to all I needed to know to feel comfortable in my surroundings. I am sure guests appreciate the personal touch that makes one feel at home and safe straight away. Breakfast was served in record time with special treats each morning. I liked the option of sitting in the dining room at well-laid table settings or at an informal picnic table on the verandah. By chance I had to wait after checking out before going to the airport. I was welcome to spend that time at leisure in the courtyard. I was delighted to be invited to feed the fish in the centre court and to be offered a morning cup of tea while waiting in comfortable surroundings. Nick also arranged for a shuttle to take me to the airport. The B&B is so well run that guests cannot help but feel at ease. I appreciated the simple instructions and informative signs that made life simple in one's room as well as at breakfast time helping oneself to tea or coffee or at the courtesy bar. And instructions on how best to cope and enjoy life scattered around the courtyard were fun.

Nothing, only the closing time for check-in was 18:00, so we were driving from Eastern Cape. we had to rush in a bad weather rainy day, but at least they waited for us to arrive at 19:30 although we were under pressure
