convenient location, easy process to get in good value for money
Looks impressive from the outside.
Inside is very dated. Rooms are mega basic, showers are absolutely atrocious. I complained upon exit, but was offered nothing to compensate me for the inconvenience, other than "I'll let maintenance know". Rooms at the back of the building are very noisy. Rooms facing the roads are quieter. Rooms don't have Aircon and mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable.
Breakfast good value
No t much selection of alcoholic drinks
The man on reception was very pleasant and helpful. The room was basic but clean and good value for money.
With the windows open it was a bit noisy train side. The surrounding area was not the most desirable but the carpark had 24 surveillance which put my mind at bay.
The room was clean and fresh. The bed and pillows very comfortable. There was no disruptive noise and we slept well.
The staff are amazing, they will bend over backwards to help, the cooked breakfast is delicious and with no fat, it’s well worth the extra cost. Overnight parking is free but during the day it can get expensive plus the car park is dirty, uneven and dose t feel safe. Despite all this I would definitely book here again.
Close to town centre easy to get to large municipal car park on site with overnight permit available
.
Easy to travel to, very clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff
The lady who ran the reception and breakfast was lovely - helpful, professional and really friendly. I felt like she really cared about us. The location is also great with a big supermarket across the road, a cute little pub next door and easy access to a nearby festival site.
The biggest issue was there was no hot water. I managed a barely lukewarm shower for 2 minutes before it went completely cold. Given that access to a nice shower was the sole reason for my booking (mid way through a camping trip), I was really disappointed. The toilet also leaked and there was a crack in the sink. It was a super weird room - I pulled back the curtain expecting to find a window and instead there was a small, locked glass door and panel leading into a little empty room. Very odd and limited the natural light, which made it hard to find somewhere to do my makeup. The cooked breakfast foods weren’t great (my partner felt the eggs tasted powdered and the hashbrowns were like cardboard) BUT there was plenty there and if you like toast etc then you’re fine. Again, couldn’t fault the lady who was managing the breakfast- she was lovely and offered to cook something extra for us if we wanted.
Location,nice staff
Lady on the front desk was excellent - very friendly and helpful
Hotel location next to the station was excellent, especially for the early train we had to catch in the morning. Facilities are good with a good breakfast. very clean with very friendly staff
road
The breakfast
The room was good value for money, but also clean and comfortable. I stayed here for Bloodstock Festival 2025. The drive was about 15-20 minutes from the hotel.
No toilet brush and the room was very warm. A small desk fan was provided but wasnt that helpful. Breakfast was ok but the tinned mushrooms and soggy hash browns left something to be desired. The door to my room didn't shut under it's on weight so make sure it's secure when leaving or entering.
Good location for Bloodstock, great value for money, clean and large room. Staff were friendly and helpful
No concerns
VFM. Pleasant & helpful staff. Nice retreat after full day at music festival
Free parking.
Good location for Burton Upon Trent town Parking for £3 per 24 hours is good value. Make sure you have coins or you will need to pay by app. Great pub across the car park called the Weighbridge which does good cask ales and hind cooked good vale meals. Burton has also got other good pubs within waking distance. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The late midday check out time. Lidl supermarket next door. Close to the railway station with good train and bus services to Derby.
There was a problem with my booking. The receptionist could not find any record of it. I do not know who was at fault, Go2 Hotels or Booking com. After 45:minutes, most of this time waiting to speak to Booking.com in London, this was sorted out and luckily there were rooms still available. The quality of the buffet breakfast was OK, but not great. The cooked options kept in heated trays. Probably better if you go early,.
Got early check in , very helpful staff
Intimate and although close to the town centre, off the beaten track
Converted use
Convenient location for the station and a short walk to restaurants. The room was basic but comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Overall good value for money.
Room had a funky smell.
Location
No fridge in the room
Great base for tge centre of Burton on Trent, very good consideringbut was a budget hotel, the staff were friendly and approachable, no real issues during my 2 night stay (i was playing in a charity golf day nearby) so the hotel was very convienent 5 minute walk from station and a 15 minute taxi ride to golf course
Really friendly and helpful receptionist
The breakfast was very good. A good selection of cooked and simple continental type breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and quiet. The location was excellent for access to the railway and some good restaurants. Parking very convenient and well priced.
Nothing to say. The hotel, staff, location and room were perfect.
Stayed here as went to friends 40th birthday. Was greeted by lovely lady on arrival. Very clean. Very pleasant building in general. Breakfast was great too. Would definitely use again
Slight smell of cigarette smoke which did fade after a while. But all in all nothing major
Location friendly staff
No shelfs also floor in bathroom always got wet when you showered
Location
Bit grimm in the dark passage ways
The location was good.
Card only. I only had cash and couldn't pay for breakfast. I find this shocking.
Room was clean and comfortable
Was not able to get food in the evening.
Location was good, bed was comfy
Water took a while to come on keys kept not working
The receptionist could not have been more welcoming. The only downside to this hotel was that the mattress wasn't very comfortable. Otherwise the price, location and parking is spot on.
The mattress.
Bed was comfortable, and staff were friendly
Parking was £3 which wasn't advertised, and only one plug in the room
Card keys where very intermittent when opening doors
Easy location , room was clean their was a fan
The room is small , tv is too small ,
Strange little room within the room but no access to it to open the window for fresh air. Little or no hot water in the shower.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Parking was only £3 for 24hrs. Food outlets and pubs within easy walking distance.
They only served breakfast. No food available in the evening.
The hotel room was comfortable, shower was lovely to use a relaxing environment.
Basic level property Butt very clean comfortable room with everything I needed. Nice to have the tea and coffee. Page for breakfast £12. I considered it good value as there was a good choice well presented in a nice clean restaurant. Enjoyed my breakfast.
No hot water for the shower in the morning despite running it for a good length of time.
A mildly rebranded former Travelodge hotel. Does what it says on the tin.
The breakfast was excellent and well presented
Great location, good value basic accommodation.
Overall it was fit for purpose, however, don’t bother paying £12 for the breakfast, it was awful. I should have gone to a local cafe.
Great price Location Breakfast was good.
Central location good value
Car parking issues. Not free and not adequately explain when booking My room was immediately over the entrance/exit which led to being awoken by people gathering and talking loudly early in the morning and late at night Electronic keys were very unreliable. The receptionist on all matters were very helpful and polite
Friendly staff clean large room
Maybe a luggage rack rather than having to bend down to the floor to get clothes out.
The service was amazing, the staff accomadated everything I requested, value for money, I've even extended my stay, the location was very handy for me as I don't drive and the train station basically on the door step
Nothing
Easy to get to clean comfortable friendly staff
Good central location in town. Plentiful parking outside also.
Room was clean and stuff was very friendly
All members of staff were delightful, they couldn't be more helpful from getting me a beer to getting a taxi when required , they even had an electric fan in the room ,10/10 in my book

Location
There were two dogs roaming about outside. They turned out to belong to other guests. One of the dogs had a big smelly shit on the landing of the third floor. The polite East European receptionist didn’t seem to have a handle on managing the guests.
The price and location was perfect.
If an unmodernised Travelodge did for you in the past. This will suffice now.
Big room, clean. Everything you need for 1 night stay.
Breakfast for £12 was awful. Sausages and dry scrambled egg were not eadible.
The breakfast was very good.
The location was perfect. Comfortable. Very clean. Friendly staff. Will consider to go again and will recommend to friend's
The location
Bathroom not very clean. Curtains would not close - one was stuck together! Fan in room did not work properly.
