Ubytovanie bolo naozaj nádherné a náš pobyt sme si veľmi užili. apartmán vyzeral presne ako na fotkách, krásny, čistý útulný a štýlovo zariadený. Veľkým zážitkom bola medená vaňa. Personal bol veľmi milý, ochotný a nápomocný. Veľmi sme ocenili, že nás počkali a privítali aj napriek tomu že sme dorazili neskoro v noci.

Location was great. Close to everything.

The apartment was good on pictures, but many things there are not taken care of and despite asking to get those fixed, the host did not react on the request. - the sink drain needs to be cleaned. The water stays - the toilet tank is leaking creating the noise which does not let you sleep normally - not all of the lights are not working around the apartment

Die Lage ist perfekt, zentraler kann man nicht wohnen. Die Ausstattung ist mit viel Blick fürs Detail ausgewählt und passt zum historischen Gebäude. Wir hatten Glück und hatten das ganze Haus quasi für uns allein. Das muss nicht immer so sein.

Die Möglichkeit zum Kochen sind beschränkt und der Kühlschrank etwas zu klein.

The host was abusive and discriminatory toward me as a young guest. I was treated aggressively and unfairly, and the room looked nothing like the photos — dirty, smelly, and stained bedsheets. I was locked out at night and refused entry, left unsafe on the street. The host refused any refund, and the matter is now with the relevant authorities. Young travellers should avoid this property!!

При заселении нам пришлось 40 минут стоять на улице и ждать персонал, не смотря на то что мы заранее сообщили о точном времени заселения, за 15 минут до прихода отправили дополнительное сообщение и активно пытались дозвониться до персонала.

Ktoś przed nami palił w mieszkaniu. Przeszkadzał mi zapach papierosów. Zapach wskazywał na to że przez dłuższy czas było tam palone. Według nam nie działał gramofon. Jeśli działał, to ciężko bylo go włączyć. Przydałaby się instrukcja do obsługi.

It was a very old property furnished in a fascinating way.

The birds on the roof were loud. Also, I don't know why double-glazed windows aren't more popular in Europe, but they would really cut down on the outside noise.

Great location. Lively but expected. Nice canalside bar and a good sandwich spot nearby. Just 2 stops from the Centraal by tram. Feels like a classy, old-era mansion. Comfortable beds, clean sheets, and a very responsive, helpful host with really nice recommendations of places.

Photos were misleading, space felt smaller than expected. No terrace or seating area access as anticipated.

Помешкання не відповідає всім фото. Було дуже брудно і ми неоднаразово повідомляли власників, вони намагалися вирішити цю проблему, проте це були максимально байдужі спроби. Прибиральниця зайшла на 5 хвилин, поскладала тарілки які ми витягнули, аби показати які вони брудні і після такого прибирання пішла додому. За ту вартість це взагалі невідповідні апартаменти

- Location right at the city center - very unique furniture - bar of trust

- ground floor and basement of this house is rented as a e.g. privat birthday parties with a dancing club room incl. proper sound system (very loud until early morning time) - unfortunately without any prewarning from landlord) - be ready to climb very steep wooden stairs into and within apartment - directly in front of a club on the opposite site of the street - leaking of bath from upper floor down to the kitchen

Honestly the single best bath I've ever used and there were 3 of them

Theater over the road is loud but that only effects you if your like me and up at 4am and in bed by 9pm but they were done by 11pm so not a big deal

Super unique and full of character. Close to the city centre.

It is in the centre of town and on a very lively street. Expect plenty of nightlife. The stairs leading to the unit are very steep and small but that is to be expected in AMS.

Es war eine aussergewöhnliche und fantastische Unterkunft mit sehr hochwertiger Ausstattung. Die mutige Farbgebung und die vielen tollen Kleinigkeiten zeugen von viel Geschmack und Vertrauen in die Gäste , sorgsam mit dem wertvollen Interieur umzugehen - Gäste sollten das Apartment mit sehr viel Respekt behandeln und genießen. Die Gegend ist ruihig aber zentral und ggü. ist eine Eventfläche für coole Leute. Das Haus selbst trifft "Maison de Curiositees" sehr gut und es ist fantastisch, wie viel Liebe in den Details steckt. Superb!

This is genuinely one of the best properties I have ever stayed in when travelling abroad. That is chic it is elegant has everything and more that you can need is in the most perfect location in Amsterdam and I genuinely can’t wait to stay here again.

The location of the actual apartment was very central in Amsterdam and easy to access all the key attractions.

This is NOT family friendly accommodation, despite being advertised as such. The location of the apartment is directly above a night club and across the road from a theatre where patrons would shout on the street! We have 2 young daughters and had 3 nights of no sleep due to the club music, loud party goers and consistent slamming of the downstairs entrance door. This accommodation is suitable for a group of adult party goers, wanting to be part of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam and NOT a family. The downstairs room where the kids slept did not have adequate curtains (drop blinds which were broken) and the outside street light shone directly into their room.

Really interesting property, individual and very comfortable. Generally quiet and warm with all you need to feel at home Excellent location

The only slight drawback was the long winding flight of stairs to the apartment - although not a problem for us, it may be for less mobile people It was also disappointing that we could not use the roof “terrace/balcony”

You’re spoilt for choice re; rentals in Amsterdam, but it’s hard to compare to Salon de Franz. You can’t ask for a better location. We had a stroopwaffel making experience, a visit to Anne Franks house and a canal boat tour - all within a 25 minute walk. Amsterdam is known for its architecture, in particular its narrow buildings and steep stairs - this accommodation is no different to any other typical Amsterdam accommodation.

We had a small issue with the sore lock at check-in which was addressed and fixed immediately. The host even arranged a gift to apologise which was a very nice touch. The only personal feedback we would give would be the option of more available light. But by no means is this a negative.

Wenn überhaupt lediglich eine Duschkabine zum schnellen abduschen, aber die Badewannen waren dafür einzigartig und schick.

The apartment was unique and full of character. A real gem. Beautiful old building but very comfortable. The location was excellent - right in the heart of things, while also feeling tucked away and relaxing.

We had a misunderstanding over facilities / expectations but the host sorted this out for us and ultimately provided excellent customer service so I have no complaints.

İlk gece otelden ayrılmak istedik ama 3 gecelik ödeme önceden alındığı için iptal mümkün olmadı. Ayrıca sivrisinek çok fazlaydı, geceleri sürekli uyanıp sivrisinek avlamak zorunda kaldık. Tuvalette klozet olmasına rağmen lavabo bulunmaması oldukça şaşırtıcıydı. El yıkamak için üst kattaki banyoya çıkmak gerekiyordu. Ayrıca sifon bozuktu, her seferinde kapağını açıp elle müdahale etmek zorunda kaldık. Nevresimler yeni değiştirilmiş görünse de odada küf ve toz kokusu vardı. Küçük kızım yatağın koktuğunu söyleyip ağladı ve yatmak istemedi. Aydınlatma yetersizdi. Mobilyalar antika gibi görünse de çoğu kullanılamayacak kadar yıpranmıştı. Çatı katındaki ahşap bölümler su almış ve şişmişti. Koltuklar oldukça eski ve konforsuzdu. Merdivenler çok dik ve dardı, özellikle çocuklu aileler için güvenli değil. Merdiven başında hiçbir koruma veya güvenlik önlemi bulunmuyor. Çocukların tek başına merdivenlere yaklaşması riskli. Double yatak çok küçüktü, normal boyda bir yetişkin ayaklarını uzatamıyor. Tek kişilik yataklar ise oldukça dar ve çocuklar birkaç kez düşme tehlikesi yaşadı. Geceliği 400 Euro’dan fazla, toplamda 1300 Euro ödediğimiz bu konaklama için, ne yazık ki Booking.com’daki yüksek puanlar ve yorumlar bizi yanılttı. Fotoğraflar ve gerçek deneyim arasında ciddi fark var. Bu otelin listelemesinin gözden geçirilmesini öneririm.

Eramos 3 adultos, 4 dias y habia solo 2 toallones. No tiene ventilador, de techo, ni portatil. El departamento no estaba limpio. Las sabanas ademas de no estar impecables, solo tenia la funda del colchon, es decir, sin sabana para taparse. El ruido del piso de madera muy ruidoso, pero entiendo que eso no se puede modificar. Me esmeraría bastante mas en ropa de cama y limpieza.

We felt like we were in the middle of a Dutch master painting. Truly a unique and beautiful experience

The stairs are a bit treacherous

Great location in the center of the city. Everything is a 20 minute walk and trams and the metro are nearby. Eclectic place but really interesting with great hosts. Note no AC if you're there during a heat wave. And the stairs, as mentioned in other reviews, are steep up to the apartment and then again to the master bedroom.

No blow dryer or AC (but that seems typical)

I loved the location, although it was very loud on Saturday night, we loved being in the middle of it all.

It would have been perfect to have an elevator available. The stairs that led up to the second room were unbelievably steep.

We absolutely loved the location, the decor and the friendly welcoming staff who couldn't do any more to make our stay more comfortable. The bath in the bedroom was a show stopper - with the candles lit - the fire going and the blue tooth speakers hooked up with our favourite music - there wasnt a better way to spend a chilly Spring evening in Amsterdam. There is a well equipped kitchen facility with an honesty bar - a cupboard with an ironing board- hair dryer and lots of luxurious soaps - shampoos and moisturisers.

This isnt a dislike just an observation- the stairs are very steep - this needs to be factored in for those with mobility issues or very small children.

Salon de Franz is an absolute gem for the rights travelers. I would lean towards younger (20-50) adults. The location is in the heart of the city, surrounded by restaurants and pubs. It is also across from a lively theater where sounds from the street are right below. The apartment is filled with period antiques bringing charm and character to the forefront. The main bedroom will have a slight wood fire scent as fires are permitted by the guests. Please take care on the second floor stairs- like most hotels in Amsterdam they are narrow but also slick with socks. Overall a fun exciting place to experience.

Coming into this vacation I believe we looked into literally every hotel in Amsterdam! A lot of them looked really great, but when I saw this I knew this is where we had to stay. It did not disappoint! From the personal check-in, to the great coffee provided, to the wood burning fireplace, there was nothing to be left for wanting. It is quite a climb to get to the apartment (33 steps up a spiral staircase) but we were able to eat anything we wanted and we still lost 2 lb by the time we got home! By the time we left the apartment we were used to the climb and it was not anything that was a deterrent. The eclectic Decor is like honey to the eyes. The saturated colors mixed with the Antiques and high gloss paint makes for a rich and opulent atmosphere that beckons you to stay longer than you have booked, and makes you regret having to go home. Morshi is a wonderful and accommodating host, and made sure that our state was fantastic. We're not sure when we are going to be back in Amsterdam, but we do know where we're staying! We would definitely recommend this to anyone!

There was literally nothing we didn't like about the stay.

A beautiful apartment with an exceptional decor, which will take you to "another dimension". Photography lovers will enjoy it because every corner is photogenic and looks like an opera set. We felt like aristocrats of the Rococo period. An unusual and unique experience that I highly recommend, even a little scary at times, but above all very beautiful. I will remember my visit to Amsterdam because of this apartment and will definitely stay in it again if I visit Amsterdam in the future.

The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and looks exactly like the photos. The rooms have so much character it almost felt like staying in a castle. I’ve never seen a place so beautiful.

The negatives were no AC and hardly any storage, especially upstairs.

The terrace was a godsend in the heat as we were able to leave the door open at night. The location was amazing and very close to Dam Square. The bed upstairs was very comfortable. The metro is a 2 minute walk from the property. It was very nice how we were given a bottle of wine upon arrival.

The staircase was a challenge but the host helped us with our bags when we arrived which was nice. The street noise at night may bother some people as it lasts until the early hours of the morning but it didn’t bother us.

Is beautiful, different, every detail in the property makes you feel that you are living in the last century. Kitchen well equipped and the location is perfect, close to everything, just some minutes walking distance.

A little noisy at night, the stairs could be hard for some people, for us, wasn’t a problem, thanks to the host that took our luggage upstairs. The light system is tricky, place is kind of dark, the bathtubs are beautiful but no place to put staff around.

Location brilliant for cetnral Amsterdam. Beautiful rooms decorated in a traditional style. Located above a private members club with lots of events that you can attend. Amazing Amsterdam experience.

If you are after a quiet time then this may not suit. Lots of street noise and peole milling around.

Truly one of my best stays ever! It’s was clean, very conveniently located, great host and very attentive, brutal place overall, had such a blast!

The location of the apartment is nearly perfect, very centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. Apartment is uniquely decorated with a nice kitchen area and beautiful terrace attached to one of the bedrooms. The fireplace was a cozy touch and perfect for the chilly evenings. Each bedroom has its own attached bathroom, offering privacy. Also, the sound systems in both bedrooms are amazing!

Apartment is a 3rd floor walk-up, stairs are winding and hard to navigate for someone with knee issues. It would be helpful to indicate this in the listing, as well as the steep stairs leading up to one bedroom. Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful with luggage, however. Apartment was clean overall, but some furniture was worse for wear, possibly due to age. Parts of the apartment appeared unfinished (e.g., wires coming out of hole in wall).

Layout was perfect for traveling with another couple or teenagers. Loved having a spot to make tea in the morning. Bath was heaven. Location was fantastic. Felt like living on a film set for a week

It would be good to have one mirror in a common area that was lit for applying makeup. Sink were beautifully to highlight the sink but you couldn’t see well enough to put on mascara anywhere 🤣 It was loud on the streets at night (which you can’t help)

Central location so not quiet at night - we had earplugs so we’re ok. Steep spiral staircases not a problem for us but would not be suitable if any disability or elderly.

Fabulous property, absolutely one of a kind. Loved all the quirky ornaments and fixtures. It's really nice to find a place with a decent hifi setup too, with one in each room. The roof terrace looked great but we didn't use it, being winter.

Great location, eclectic, beautifully decorated with amazing pieces of furniture. Huge, comfy beds. Plenty of room for a family, loved listening to music on the record player in the evenings. Everything you could hope for in a holiday rental.

Although stunning, the spiral stairs was hard work, however the host helped the children carry their bags up to our second floor apartment. Trying to keep all of the water in the bathtub was a slight issue when using the shower too. But these issues were worth dealing with though, as the accommodation was outstanding.

Very opulent surroundings and quirky. We found something new to look at everytime we returned to the apartment. Beds extremely comfortable and the owners couldn't do enough for us. they were there to meet us and show us around and said we could contact them with any problems if we needed to - we didn't. Would definitely recommend the Salon de Franz to friends.

Wow… what a beautiful home to truly experience the history and beauty of Amsterdam! The interior design of this home is unlike anything I have seen before. It looks exactly like the pictures. We had a record player and speakers in both rooms and a beautiful porch for late nights. We loved our home so much we spent just as much time inside as we did exploring the beautiful city! Location is super central, it’s close to Jordaan and Central station. Food and drinks surrounding the home are great! Rooms are on two separate floors which we loved. We literally did not want to leave! This was by far the most beautiful hotel/apartment I have ever stayed in! Our host was so kind and welcoming as well!
