MM'S Guest House Hikkaduwa

Tout est parfait. L'emplacement, la déco, la terrasse agréable, le lit, la salle de bain, avec le petit rebord qui fait la différence par rapport à tous nos autres logements et permet de ne pas inonder la pièce ! La pièce commune est pratique et nous avons été sensibles à l'état d'esprit solidaire (livres à emprunter, objets à partager). Nilupul nous a accueillis avec une magnifique noix de coco fraîche et nous a même déposé en ville où il se rendait. Une super adresse.

Rien. Notre seuil regret est d'y avoir séjourné une seule nuit !

Chambre spacieuse, propreté irréprochable . Mélisse très sympathique et très disponible.

Une guest house très près de la plage, dans un quartier animé mais surtout dans un écrin de verdure. La salle commune est vaste et la cuisine bien équipée. Mais ce qui fait le charme de l'endroit c'est l'accueil la présence bienveillante et efficace de Mélissa.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gasgeberin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen wir konnten alles laufen. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt noch einmal verlängert haben. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Merci à Mélissa et à toute son équipe pour ce merveilleux séjour. Sa guesthouse est idéalement placée dans Hikkaduwa, tout est à proximité, commerces, plages, banques, transport. Le jardin est magnifique, bien entretenu. Et les chambres sont propres, grandes avec terrasse. Nous avons grandement apprécié les échanges avec Mélissa et si vous êtes un tantinet curieux elle saura vous faire découvrir des petits coins cachés. Il faut également tester absolument sa crêperie située a quelques pas de la guesthouse, ses crêpes, glaces, müesli, biscuits le tout fait maison sont excellents !. Accueil parfait avec de petites attentions pour notre fille , chambre spacieuse et propre Très joli jardin , cuisine à disposition , espace détente avec petits jeux , bouquins … on se sent comme à la maison ! Séjour au top 👌

Nous avons adoré l’emplacement, à quelques mètre de la plage et assez reculé pour être au calme. Le personnel et Mélissa ont été très accueillant, tes chaleureux, nous avons pris le temps de discuter. De plus, ils m’ont aidé pour le reste de mon séjour ! La chambre est spacieuse, propre avec tous les équipements nécessaires jusqu’aux serviettes de plage !

Good location behind the main street. Great communal area to sit and relax in the shade in the hottest part of the day. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Nice to see shower curtains in the bathrooms which keeps the toilet area dry - most places don’t have that. The host was very helpful and polite.

Worth noting that the train line runs directly behind the property and always blasts the horn when passing. This is quite noisy and while trains aren’t that frequent there are still some early morning and late at night. Not a big problem for us but a consideration if easily disturbed.

Lovely garden, very well kept, kitchen with stocked tea. Safe from mosquitos and a very friendly host, would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

I had supernice staying in this guest house. The apartment is large enough, exceptional cleanliness, not far from the ocean!

There is no air condition system, maybe it’s important for somebody, but not for me)

Very nice small guesthouse, close to everything-shops, restaurants, sea. Rooms in the ground floor don't have AC but we got one extra fan so it was ok. On the first floor is a small kitchen. Guesthouse has laundry service Owner is very kind and helpful.

Tout sans exception

Excellent clean, fresh, large room with comfy bed and good shower (actually had a shower curtain, which made a nice change!). Large communal area with a two-ring burner, fridge and kitchen equipment, which was really handy for making breakfast. Train was noisy when it passed by, but we got used to it, and they don't seem to run at night. Close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Host was very friendly and we wish her well in her new venture.

Perfect location (walking distance to the beach), great price, extremely clean room (which was so pleasant!) and beautiful little outside sitting area with lots of huge plants. Thank you Melissa and good luck, I hope that people will find you and you’ll have lots of guests !

I wish we stayed longer

Very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms in a good location. The host is highly helpful and pleasant. The entire place has a beautiful, calm atmosphere...and the use of a shared kitchen is quite convenient. Would highly recommend stayIng here.

Nothing to not like. All was great!

When we arrived the property was clean and the host was very welcoming, she explained everything very clearly, and she expressed her hospitality throughout. The value for the quality of the room/en-suite was superbl. There is also a kitchen upstairs with a large social area which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall I highly recommend!10/10

Just going for the hottest season the fan wasn’t quite making the room cool enough, bar that no complaints.

Lovely stay, right along the main road in Hikkadewa (but quiet enough that you feel tucked away). Walking distance to everything. Guest house is surrounded by a lovely, peaceful garden. Owner is very friendly and helpful. You are very close to the train line (as is everything in Hikkadewa) so it can be loud with the train, but it didn’t bother us, most places would be the same.

The room got a bit hot, there is a fan in the room (and other rooms with are aircon options). Not so much fault of the guesthouse, Hikkadewa is just extremely hot and humid! Otherwise no complaints :)
