Arctic City Studio - perfectly located in the main street

We absolutely loved our stay at Arctic City Studio! The lovely hosts gave us clear instructions on everything we needed to know before our stay and were really responsive to questions. The studio itself is beautifully decorated and felt so cozy and homey. We loved having lots of space compared to a cramped hotel room, and for a better price!! The instructions for the wifi/tv/dishwasher/washing machine were all clear and they were easy to use. The location of the property is right in the centre of town so easy to get to cafes, restaurant and shops - yet it was still so quiet at night. It was also a short 5-10 minute walk to the bus station where our northern lights and Sami reindeer experience trips left from. There is a supermarket right across the street and plenty of other small supermarkets close by. The bus was also really easy to get from the airport and there were many bus stops close by. The studio was impeccably clean, the bed was comfy and there were plenty of amenities like pots/pans and spices for cooking etc. We were also given complimentary kvikk lunsj bars from the hosts to welcome us to Norway - my favourite!! Overall we had a fantastic trip and would definitely stay at the Arctic City Studio again!

We had no problem with it, but if you have mobility issues, there is a winding staircase to get up to the apartment - so with luggage you may need some help getting up. Though I'm 157cm tall and had a huge suitcase and carried it up myself with no issues.

It feels very homey，beautiful, clean, and the location is a huge plus. Most of the city’s attractions are within walking distance or easily accessible by bus. Although I booked the room through Booking.com, the process felt very similar to Airbnb. The host responds very promptly, and you can also contact her via WhatsApp after check-in. Highly recommended…

Beautifully decorated and well fitted studio apartment with washing and cooking facilities. Location is fantastic with supermarket over the street and easy walking to tour meeting points. The hosts are very welcoming, really helpful and they gave clear instructions. I highly recommend choosing this accommodation.

Be prepared to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs.

Sehr schönes liebevoll eingerichtetes Apartment in bester Lage. Unkomplizierter Check In. Supermarkt, Bus, Taxi alles direkt vorm Haus.

Hosts were very good at communicating by answering any questions even before we arrived for our holiday. The apartment had a calm and relaxing feel to it, everything we needed (and more) for our 4 night stay was thought about and provided. The bed was super comfy, we loved the art work on the walls :) Location was excellent, everything was within walking distance.

The area was very quiet most nights, but on our last night the Neighbour was very loud until around 1am. The rubbish bins are right outside the door you need to enter the main building, they were difficult to navigate around especially as it was icy.

I have nothing to complain about. The apartment was very clean, the location is excellent, and the check-in process was very easy. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond. The size of the studio was more than enough, and it was very well equipped , the kitchen had plenty of utensils, plus a washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, and vacuum cleaner. The bed was super comfortable, and the place felt extremely cozy.

The Wi-Fi wasn’t working on my phone, only on the TV. I didn’t contact the host about the issue because it didn’t really affect my stay, as I had mobile data. However, it’s something that would be good to look into for future guests.

The location of the property was perfect. Right in the middle of the city but still very quiet. Close to all the museums and nightlife, across the road from a supermarket and next door to a very cool bar that stays open late. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen very well appointed. Even though it's a small apartment it was very functional and had everything you'd need for a holiday. The host was extremely responsive and very helpful.

There was nothing that we didn't like. I will point out you have climb two sets of spiral stairs to get to the apartment, there is no lift. It wasn't a problem for us but could be for some people.

Sehr warm im Zimmer. Klimaanlage kühlt nicht und mit 3 festen Programmen nicht optimal und daher lieber das Fenster nachts geöffnet zum schlafen (trotz Mövengeschrei ging es einigermaßen). Gefrierschrank muss abgetaut werden, dann gehen auch nicht die Plastik-Fächer kaputt beim öffnen… leider bei der Ankunft alles enorm vereist im Gefrierteil. Keine Kaffeemaschine, sondern nur die „umweltschädlichen teuren Kapseln“ wir haben „türkisch gebrüht“

Die Lage ist wirklich ideal - mitten in der City: Hafen, Geschäfte, Parkhaus - alles in der Nähe. Auf kleinem Raum hat man in diesem Apartment alles, was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, informieren perfekt und haben uns sogar noch mit Pralinen verwöhnt. In anderen Bewertungen stand, dass die Treppen sehr schmal sind und so haben wir nur Gepäck für 2 Tage mit ins Apartment genommen und den Rest im Auto gelassen - das war perfekt.

Die Fenster waren sehr schmutzig und am Freitag Abend war es bis in die Nacht sehr laut. Bevor man unten zur Haustür kommt, läuft man erstmal an ziemlich vielen Mülltonnen vorbei.

Centrally located ....very comfortable and clean. Loved that there was basic kitchen needs ( alfoil, salt, pepper, oil,)

The studio was clean and well-maintained, with a great shower and very comfortable beds. It's in a convenient location right on the main street, close to buses, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were very responsive and easy to reach via WhatsApp. Overall, a pleasant stay and we’d be happy to return.

The heating wasn’t quite strong enough for our comfort, but the host did provide an extra blanket, which we appreciated.

Comfortable beds. Nice Shower. Clean. Located on the main street, but still nice and quiet. Close to the bus stop. Supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. We only had contact with the host via email, but they were very friendly and accomodating. We had a very nice time. Would definetely recommend.

It's not something the host can do anything about I think since the (snowfree) space was limited but the containers (for collecting rubbish) were blocking the entrance.

Studio flat located close to the centre of Tromso and within easy reach of supermarkets and the Port. Very comfortable bed, well equipped and nice and warm. Walk in shower. Excellent communication with host.

I found the two flights of stairs a bit awkward with a heavy suitcase. Younger and fitter people probably wouldn't have a problem

I had an amazing stay at Arctic City Studio! From the start, hosts Marijn and Daan provided excellent communication, giving clear and detailed instructions on how to find the entrance and access the apartment—making everything smooth and hassle-free. The apartment itself felt wonderfully homely and was in an unbeatable location, right on the main street in Tromsø. Everything was within walking distance, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the thoughtful touch of leaving a delicious bar of chocolate was much appreciated! I highly recommend this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Marijn and Daan, for a fantastic experience!

There is nothing you couldn’t like!

The apartment is in a very central location and easy to find. The kitchen is very well equipped, the shower is nice, and the bed is comfortable. A great spot for a few days stay in Tromsø. Also the chocolate truffles are delicious!

Might be too loud for some people as it’s next to a restaurant that’s open kind of late.

The location is very convenient. A nicely decorated studio. Cozy and spacious. You also have the option to wash your clothes if you ever need to - there’s washing machines and dryer available in the flat.

Hot water could be an issue if you are a group of 2+. The hot water would last around 15 mins and the wait is long for the water to become hot again. Not ideal when you had a long day out having to wait another hour for just showing. My partner ends up having cold shower twice (we waited at least 45 mins between showers but I assume it could take hours for the water to be boiled again). So you might want to have shower at different time if there’s more than just one of you. The shower pressure is good and it’s perfect as long as hot water is available. We found rubbish not fully emptied from bin (some tiny things left over like q-tips / liquid that looks like shower gel). Also some coloured water marks on the sink cupboard. Not the biggest deal but would be great to have fresh bin bag used for new group of customers.

Alley from Storgata was very icy and I almost fell.

This accommodation was just perfect for my husband and I.. Beautifully presented and in a fantastic central location with a supermarket just across the road. It was very well equipped with everything we could possibly have needed. The bed was extremely comfortable.and the shower powerful. The hosts were lovely and checked in with us to make sure we were ok. The chocolates on arrival were such a lovely touch too. We'd highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

There was nothing we didn't like.

I had been excited about visiting Tromso for many years so to finally have the opportunity was wonderful. I had booked previously in a different part of the street but cancelled and booked this property instead as I felt it would have more atmosphere outside during the day. The property was very clean and comfortable, had lovely styling and was bright and cosy. It had everything we needed. Tromso was fantastic and so beautiful.

I was really disappointed when we arrived at the street, after a really long trip to get there, to discover extensive pipe/building work being done. The street outside our building was blocked by a massive hole the length of the block, earth moving machinery, barricades and temporary access in some places. Some businesses were closed others doing their best to stay open. It was a muddy mess and was obviously like that for some time and was going to be for much longer. I understand perfectly that this is beyond the control of the property owner but it was disappointing not to have prior warning since it was going to effect us and our access . I felt it should have been mentioned to us out of curtesy .

This is a beautiful little studio brilliantly positioned in the heart of Tromso. The owners thoughtfully left tea and coffee and some lovely chocolates for us and were very responsive to queries and requests. Facilities were good eg washer and dryer and good kitchen equipment.

Beware booking.com's claim of a separate bedroom - this is a studio not an apartment! It's also up two flights of stairs, which was a bit of a surprise! While the location is great in terms of being close to everywhere, it is quite noisy at night - seagulls and revellers! And a setee or easychairs would have upped the comfort level.

This place was fantastic, very comfy and in a great location. The bed was very comfortable and everything I could possibly need was available, I would recommend this place for sure and if I come back I will for sure book again here!

That the blinds still allowed a bit of light so was hard to sleep with the midnight sun

The location and the furniture.

There is false advertisement about 4 designated free parking spots at the property but there are none. The people staying in the studio are not allowed to park there. The free parking spot was one of the main reasons we booked the studio because we were traveling by car. Now we had to use public parkings and that costed a lot extra. This needs to be removed from the add.

The studio is perfectly situated in the centre of Tromsø. It's equipped with everything you could possibly need, super cosy and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely stay!

Very kind and helpful hosts, great location, and very cozy atmosphere - 100% recommended! The hosts even let us check out late because of our late flight and provided some coffee, tea & chocolate at arrival. Check-in and -out was super easy via key box
