Reviewed May 8, 2026Everything - it's new, spacious, clean, we appreciate having a washing machine inside the apartment - easy to do light laundry after a day out. Parking is easy with ample space. Location is great too, Twizel is a breath of fresh air after a busier Queenstown. It's quiet and relaxing. A great base if you're visiting Omarama, Mt Cook and Tekapo.
Nothing.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026The rooms were huge and the washing machine was a nice perk. Very quiet and comfortable beds, probably the best night's sleep of the trip.
We didn't realize that if we arrived after 7 we had to call them, it wasn't great arriving to a closed office, we had to turn on expensive international service to call them.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026Twizel is the gateway yo Mount Cook. The best chance of seeing the whole mountain is in the morning. If you leave for Mount Cook in the morning you will have the astonishing views that you will probably miss if you take up hotel at Mount Cook and arrive in the afternoon. Twizel has a good choice of restaurants. The hotel is brand new. The owner is most kind and helpful. We had a large king bed room with a washing machine, a generous refrigerator, an excellent bed. Considerably less expensive than the Heritage Hotel at Mount Cook.
Just perfect

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026Apartment is new, with all facilities on site. Location is great, just a few blocks from the shopping area — though Twizel itself is fairly small. Staff are very helpful and even offer complimentary milk for guests. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need — washing machine, dryer, kitchen paper towels, and a spacious, spotlessly clean bathroom. A great base for exploring the area.

Reviewed Apr 5, 2026We had a big room upstairs (with a lift when taking suitcases), very clean and good kitchenette facilities. Good quality washer/ dryer. Within easy walking distance of the town and restaurants. Plenty of parking. Very distant view of Mount Cook and the Alps.
No window to open other than the sliding door entrance, but there was an air conditioning unit. The balcony outside the room is also a walkway to other rooms, so you had to keep a net curtain drawn if you wanted privacy.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026In my opinion this is not really a motel but closer to a 4-star hotel standard. The room was spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped and even included a washing machine with detergent provided, which was a very nice touch. Everything felt new, spotless and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of parking available. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again if I return to the area.
The only small issue was that the room had a connecting door to the neighboring room, so some noise from next door could occasionally be heard. However, it did not significantly affect the overall comfort of the stay.
