Weald of Kent Golf Course and Hotel

Have stayed here on numerous occasions always good value for money. Staff always attentive and know just what is going on in the area.

WIFI bad but to be fair equally bad throughout this part of Kent.

The breakfast was very good and the staff helpful and friendly. Nice green setting.

mold in the bathroom, room smelled like cat piss, wifi did not have any signal in the outbuilding we were staying in, only worked at the main building.

The bed was comfy, the gym was a bonus and I enjoyed relaxing in a bubble bath.

Ontbijt biedt ruime keuze, geen vers fruit. Extra keuze mogelijk uit het menu, best in orde. Personeel was vriendelijk en werkte prima mee. Kader volop in het groen, maar wel met een relatief drukke baan voor de deur. Kamers in orde, maar wat gedateerd, badkamer ook - douchen in het bad.

Eten 's avonds, zoals de burger bvb, was niet echt voldoende. Toen we een extra sandwich bestelden met ham en kaas was dit letterlijk twee witte boterhammen met hesp en gemalen kaas. een koude croque dus. De club kan wel eens makeover gebruiken om het niveau wat op te trekken.

I don't often leave reviews, unless somewhere vastly exceeds my expectations, or in this case, something is very disappointing. I stay here every year for the Southern Model Airshow at Headcorn, the nearby village. So the location is perfect.

In my opinion, Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially when you're staying away and doing things in the day. And when you're paying for breakfast, you expect at least that standard practices to be met. To my amazement, the beautifully cooked hash browns and bacon, had been put in the steamers. You really don't need a science degree to know that both of these things go under a lamp or a hot plate, as steaming them will make them soft and not crispy in about 5m. When I asked the staff what is going on, they said it's always been done like this for years.. Seriously guys, can you please sort this out for next time. I'm sure that all guests, not just me, want to know that the kitchen staff know what they are doing.

I didn’t like anything

Cleanliness, the food, the customer service, the checking and checkout time, the comfort. All was bad.

I was hosting a birthday lunch for myself and 9 other guests. Overall the meal was good and staff very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Plus everyone had an enjoyable time. Breakfast was also good.

I booked an accessible room for myself (I am a wheelchair user) and husband. The room allocated was in the annex Room 9 which was a long way from the Club/Hotel Restaurant. Having stayed at the hotel previously, we were in a room NEXT TO the main Club House entrance and were unaware of the annex building, so were disappointed at the location, resulting in my husband (who is in his 80s) pushing me to and from several times because the main car park was very busy. However Room 9 was disappointing - small, bed duvet so near bathroom door that it couldn't open fully for my wheelchair to enter.

Location perfect for exploring the surroundings. Lush bathroom towels - the best we've ever come across, quiet rooms and helpful staff. The restaurant had very good selection and we loved the quality of the food, also reasonably priced.

The location met my needs with plenty of parking & staff were cheerful & friendly. The lodge room was at a good price for one night, and the bed linen was clean.

The room was very tired and needed upgrading. Unfortunately the housekeeping standards were very poor with cobwebs on the wall & ceiling, behind the tv and over the curtain and window. The chair had numerous stains all over it and the plug above had tea/coffee splash stains, with crumbs in the cupboard. The cups were stained and the ironing board rest was covered in dust. The bath also had a stain mark running around the lower part of it.

Everyone was very helpful, the room was clean and breakfast was fantastic

Air con was hard to turn off or down and was blowing on me all night, I like a cool room but it was quite chilly, pillows were not comfortable, two pillows was too high and one pillow was too flat, not much access to drinking water, especially staying at the separate lodge away from main building.

Air con was a blessing.

Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Staff in general were friendly and seemed welcoming.

There was a clothes pole for hanging up clothes but ideally would have liked a proper closet/wardrobe. The hangers are locked on to the pole aswell so was quite fiddly trying to hang clothes up. One of the nights we went to the bar to get some snacks as there aren't any shops nearby... A lady was locking up as she said it was quiet even though it shouldn't have been shutting for another 40 minutes so we were unable to get anything. Overall though our stay was okay.

I booked this hotel as an overnight stop after a long journey and unfortunately found the whole experience unnecessarily stressful. I arrived at around 21:00, having already paid for my stay in full. At reception I was then required to provide a £50 damage deposit/pre-authorisation, which would only be released after the room had been inspected following check-out. I travel and stay in hotels very frequently and have never encountered this at an ordinary three-star hotel. What made this particularly frustrating was the condition of the room itself. The carpet showed considerable wear, the bathtub was scratched and worn, and the shower-curtain rail was visibly rusty. If a hotel is going to hold £50 of a guest’s money against possible damage, I would expect either a proper check-in inspection or some record of the room’s existing condition. Guests are apparently expected to trust the hotel to decide afterwards whether damage has occurred, while the hotel demonstrates very little trust in the guest. The accommodation was also in a separate building a considerable distance from reception. After carrying my luggage to reception, I then had to put everything back into the car, drive to the other building and unload it all again. There was no lift, so I then had to carry heavy luggage upstairs. After a long day of travelling, this was the opposite of the straightforward overnight rest I had expected. The Wi-Fi was another irritation. To connect, I was required to provide personal details including my email address and telephone number and was presented with terms stating that personal information, including information about my device and how I used the Wi-Fi, would be collected by the hotel and its Wi-Fi provider. I found this unnecessarily intrusive simply to access Wi-Fi that is provided as part of a hotel stay, and I therefore stopped using it. There was also a strong unpleasant smell in the courtyard when I arrived. I would not stay here again.

Badkamer: vrijwel geen waterdruk en water bleef lauw, zelfs na 8 minuten de kraan open te hebben laten staan. Verder was het interieur van de kamer verouderd, maar we moesten wel GBP 50 borg betalen.

It’s a lovely location with clean, spacious rooms and amazingly helpful and friendly staff and during this recent heatwave working A/C. Will definitely stay again.

There is nothing I would critique about this accommodation and I will definitely stay again. One small issue was the cost of drinks, £2.45 for a Diet Coke and £6.00 for a cider seemed a bit excessive, noting golf members using the course were also openly complaining about the prices in the bar. Next time I’ll bring my own and use the fridge in the room. That said the food was excellent and at a fair price.

The only issue was the water problem which was not even the hotels fault but south east water! And the staff managed the issue very well.

The room was tired looking but comfortable and air conditioned.

We ate evening meal here as there was limited places within a 5 mile radius but it left a lot to be desired. For the price it was acceptable. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Noisy in the mornings with golfers arriving to play, didn't seem to have any respect that it was a hotel and people might be sleeping. Haven't got a problem with people chatting and having a laugh but they were very loud, calling across the site to each other.

Excellent location and very quiet. Room was lovely and clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Free parking. Beds were comfortable. I've stayed here a few times now and each time has been excellent.

Mooie kamer met airco in een mooi park. Bij ontbijt kon je kiezen uit verschillende eibereidingen a la carte en ook nog keuzes bij buffet (jogurt, fruit, …). Allemaal prima. Hebben ook ‘‘s avonds in resto ter plekke gegeten wat ook lekker was. Was ideaal om roadtrip in Z Engeland af te sluiten op een uur rijden van Le Shuttle.

Very basic room for the price we paid The room was freezing cold when we arrived as the air con was on. No plug sockets by the bed The shower had hardly any power/pressure to it and the water just dribbled out. Luckily I didn’t need to wash my hair. The bed was uncomfortable and both myself and my partner woke with bad backs the next morning and for the rest of the day. The pillows too were uncomfortable

Everything was great and well organised. The rooms were in a distant house from the main golf structure, but completely silent and surrounded by nature (and the golf court, of course). We arrived very late, due to our flight delay, and after I reached out to them to warn them, they were completely okay with it and welcomed us at 3 in the morning! The room was large enough, with a big bathroom. Everything was clean and well presented. Breakfast was great, with hot and cold food, coffee and tea. Since we arrived late, they also asked the cleaning staff to wait longer than the checkout time (10am) to let us rest more in case we needed it. They were all so kind, so I am very thankful for the more than welcoming experience.

Location perfect for Maid of Stone Festival in Maidstone. Room was clean and functional. Breakfast was good, restaurant staff very friendly. Great views of the golf course.

Beds in a twin room were lumpy and requires a change.. The room was clean, but the carpet smelt musty and also required cleaning. A £50 returnable deposit was required for any potential damage.. The menu in the room gave a greater choice of breakfast and evening restaurant options than actually available.

The airconditioning was very nice and the location at the golf course is beautiful. Dinner was good.

The room was very small and felt more like a youth hostel. The breakfast didn‘t have a lot of options and was already pretty empty at 8:30 in the morning, although it is available until 11:30. Although some employees were really nice and engaged, the young ones at breakfast did ignore us for quite some time while talking to each other and lacked motivation to refill even the basic toast.

The room was clean, there was a bath with overhead shower and air con. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was excellent and evening meal was adequate though the menu was a bit limited. My only gripe was that there wags only one packet of biscuits with the tea tray In the room!

Location is good for me for work purposes. Hotel is clean and tidy, car park is ok but could be lit better. Room was big, room facilities were ok.

Always have to wait and try and find staff when checking in and out as there’s never anyone on hotel reception, they’re always in the bar or restaurant. Promised they would send me an invoice but haven’t because the receptionist was late to arrive in work because of child care issues.

The booking.com reviews says ' Superb' our small room was facing a car park. The rooms were not in a hotel setting. Very misleading. The breakfast was great. We had fish and chips for dinner which was very average. My expectations were different as we had booked a golfclub stay. We were disappointed.

Rooms, the 'hotel' it was not a hotel, it was rooms in a building. The common areas were not well maintained. The outide area over looking the golfcourse and the ponds were beautiful.

Really good location for visiting family in Kent. Also, only 10 minutes from Leeds Castle. The breakfast was very comprehensive and tasty. We had porridge and fruit, followed by toast, which was perfect for us. The price was very reasonable, given it included breakfast.

The room needed refreshing, a coat of paint was needed, and things like the hairdryer needed replacing with a more modern one. There wasn't anyone on reception on arrival, you were directed to the bar, which was not great as they had a wedding going on that day. I guess it's the same as most places now with rising staff costs and cutbacks.

The food was nice, home cooked curry buffet on Wednesdays and a nice breakfast in the morning. Bar staff are friendly and courteous. They have plenty of EV chargers and was able to charge overnight ready for the following day.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are very basic although the air conditioning was a welcome addition in this heat! Shower leaks with very little water pressure. Kettle is covered with limescale and put me off making a drink. The hotel is on a golf course, I stayed here for work wanting to get a decent nights sleep but was awoken at 11:30pm by a load of shouting drunk blokes going on and on for about an hour.

Ontbijt was heel karig. Wel full English breakfast, maar bij niets voor een continentaal ontbijt. Veel was al op en niet bijgevuld en als er om gevraagd werd duurde het een eeuwigheid voor er iets kwam. Bedden waren onwijs zacht wat niet prettig was. Kamer van wel schoon en min of meer rolstoeltoegankelijk.
