Arrived via uber and took a little commuter ferry, saw the hotel on the water and was like "wow I should go there for dinner" then realized it was my staff. It was SO pretty in person. Gorgeous, clean, heritage vibes with common areas open air. They have tea time for guests and it's adorable and boat rides and yoga and walking tours and the restaurants + mocktails were amazing. GO TO THE SPA. Rejuventation massage was SO worth it. Staff so gorgeous and helpful when I had a late flight too.

The food was exceptional at both History and Armoury and the restaurant staff is attentive and considerate. For example, they offered to pack additional breakfast as they thought I didn’t eat enough. The complimentary 45-minute sunset cruise is a must-do. The design, maps and architecture are worth seeing as well.
Faced recurring issues with electricity and air conditioning in my room, which completely spoilt the overall experience. After complaining to the staff multiple times, they kept mentioning that it is due to load shedding. However, the electricity in my room was out for 20 minutes and then 10 minutes each time, indicating that the generator was not working correctly as well. This also meant that the room did not cool down properly at all, which disrupted my sleep. My request for a room change was completely ignored. For a property charging relatively high prices, such issues unacceptable. Asking the guest multiple times whether the issue was resolved is not enough, if you cannot provide a logical solution. They also did not send anyone to the room, even for a courtesy visit, which should be the bare minimum. Additionally, the room was not ready at the stated check-in time.
The staff was super friendly and the breakfast very delicious.
The ferry can be loud.
Gut geschultes, freundliches Personal. Einladungen zu Bootsfahrt und Yoga. Interessante Restaurants und High Tea. Terassen zum Verweilen und gepflegte Poolanlage
Nice atomosphere, intersting places to vicit nearby. Very nice staff. Cgh Airport Counter Mr Aslah assited more than our expectation. in both pick up and drop off.
Nothing to compliaint
L’ambiance et la situation
A wonderful calm oasis in the middle of Fort Kochi. Beautifully appointed hotel with a tasteful decor. Great staff. Ethical company. A very tasty meal from the History Restaurant. We had a 2am flight so booked a transfer. We were not expecting Ashil (a company employee) to meet us at the airport , collect our luggage guide us through the check in process and even get us a upgrade for the flight. Far exceeding our expectations. Outstanding service. Highly recommended.
No downside. All good.
Room was big and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom also huge with great shower. The Restaurant was very good and catered for many types of diet, staff all excellent and could not be faulted.
The ferry was very close to the hotel and very noisy; it runs from 0600-2200. Alos when the winds are in the wrong direction you can smell the diesel fumes if out by the pool.
Uniquely located, old world charm, wonderful views and an intimate experience Vs staying in a large hotel chain
Checkout experience could have been smoother
Rest all good

The Ambience. The Pleasant and warm hospitality of THE ENTIRE STAFF. The upkeep of the property in accordance with its Heritage Colonial Theme.
Farry noise is a bit frustating rest the property is wow

Location.
The bed was really high making it difficult to get to. Also for a child, it’s not possible. Our daughter fell from the bed also.
Food superb
Monsoonish weather and backwater View from Room
very less food choice for vegetarians
The location , interiors , hospitality of the staff and excellent food
The mosquitos and insects
I loved the old world architecture and decor. Staff were friendly and always available. Made us feel safe and welcomed. The waterfront sitting arrangement was a bonus during cooler evenings. The Armoury restaurant food service ambience was excellent.
Nothing really.Mozzies but the hotel provided anti repellant cream.
Excellent location, we had the water front facing room.
Brunton Boatyard was one of the highlights of our stay in Kochi. The hotel has a beautiful colonial charm with peaceful waterfront views that make the whole experience feel relaxing and unique. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and full of character, and the restaurant served fantastic food in a lovely setting. What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. The only thing to be mindful of is the mosquitoes due to the hotel being right on the water, however the hotel is very well prepared and provides everything you may need. Overall, a truly memorable and relaxing stay that we would highly recommend.
Mosquitoes :-(
Customer service was excpetional during my stay at cgh. Staff were extremely cooperative and went over and beyond to accomodate me and my pregnant wife with all the needed facilities.
Staff, property, location
The waterfront location at this hotel was outstanding. The hotel offered a total luxury experience in Kochi. The room was tastefully furnished, the stuff was very helpful and attentive, the hotel recycling police was exemplary and I liked the fact that the Brunton Boatyard Hotel offered a public water refilling station for the general public on the outside of their resort. The waterfront swimming pool was well sanitised and with a perfect water temperature my wife and I really enjoyed our daily swim. Thank you
Sometimes during the day the local carferry was a bit noisy but it did not detract from my hotel experience
Property and building: So, so well maintained. We loved the character of the building and how the flooring, furniture, art etc all contributed to the old world charm. All while still offering the modern luxuries that make the stay delightful - air-conditioning, coffee machines, bath tubs, bath amenities etc. Rooms: We had the water-facing suite and an adjoining non-water-facing room. Both rooms were extremely comfortable. The view is absolutely stunning. We loved the snacks placed in our suite. :) Restaurant: The breakfast has an excellent selection; please ask for and try their 'special breakfast of the day'. We had dinner at the 'Armoury' a couple of times. The food is great and the staff is excellent. From the Chef and the Managers to the servers - all of them take the time to interact with the guests. Spa: Extensive spa menu to choose from, with detailed explanations. Treatments are excellent and deliver as promised. Staff: From front office to housekeeping and restaurant to spa - all staff is very well trained. They are knowledgabale, polite, friendly and helpful. They just make the stay more pleasant and memorable.
Everything was excellent. No complaints.
Super Hotel Sehr nettes Personal Toller Afternoon Tea
Ebenso ist do Fähre sehr laut.

Great breakfast at Armoury - all carte beautifully laid out.
Dosas at breakfast - very dry and poor
It's a lovely property with a 10/10 for location. The breakfast was really good. The property is very well kept and clean and if you like colonial dutch style architecture, this is the place to go to !
The fine dining restaurant, History had very limited food options but to be fair they did say it was because of the current commercial LPG shortage.

An oasis of calm n a busy city
Next door to ferry, some noise from this
Top Hotel
Bit too costy
LOCATION - 10/10 This was my first visit and stay at Fort Cochin. The property is wonderfully located. Walking distance from the Water Metro Station, the cafes, by lanes and the sights and sounds.
CUSTOMER SERVICE - 5/10 The staff were really friendly and helpful. But at times when we wanted them to come good, they couldn't. e.g. We bought food from outside (something which wasn't available on the menu for dinner) They refused to heat it up citing policy. ROOM COST vis-a-vis AMENETIES - 4/10 For the cost of this room, you can book a mid to above room in an Oberoi or any of the premium properties. For the amount that is charged, I do not see value in the room per se. FOOD - 3/10 They have 3 restaurants in the property. I tried food from 2 of them. 1 was for breakfast. Which was nothing remarkable. Ordered dine-in from another restaurant - below average food. North Indian. Now you might be wondering, who orders North Indian cuisine in a Kerala Property. It was because the Malayalee food was nothing to write home about as well. Overall if you are a non-malayalee, you might find the food good. If you haven't been to other prime properties across the country and in Kerala, you might find the rooms wow or force yourself to believe it is wow for the amount you are paying. Location is stellar.
The beautiful spacious room. I had the seafacing one.
Noise from boats and ferry nearby.
Great location and the most comfortable bed we had whilst travelling Kerela. The staff were fantastic, especially Jasmine who checked us in and took us on the boat ride.
Nothing
Fantastic oldy worldy colonial style property with the best staff ever. Extremely attentive and friendly staff each and every one of them The free boatride and yoga sessions, high tea are a great extra touch. We also organised a tuk tuk guided tour which hotel arranged. Our tuk tuk driver Sanee was fabulous.. do ask for him should you arrange a tuk tuk guided tour.
Absolutely Nothing
Excellent and delightful property offering very high standards of service. We were taken care of very well and will certainly explore other CGH properties when we next visit Kerala
The only thing was its location next to the ferry which cannot be changed but it not detract from our experience ultimately
Excellent breakfast freshly served
More chicken optiond
Lovely colonial hotel
Noisy room....music very loud from next door and after 3 complaints the lical police stopoed it

Boat next door is quite noisy
Very soothing ambience. The staff is very courteous!
The breakfast was wholesome albeit a la carte. The room was size was great. It was clean and had a view of the water. The location was ideal for us as we came to Fort Kochi for the biennale and locations were within walking distance
It would have been good to have appal on the breakfast menu as it was advertised on the hotel site. There kettle in the room leaked creating a small puddle on the floor.
Everything
Slow check in process, as with all hotels in India.
Excellent staff, great location walkable to most of the main attractions.
Great location, excellent staff
Location was stellar. Staff was good
Food service in the restaurant was wanting- not as high quality as expected, not as timely and generally not on top of their game.
There was very little to fault with this stay for us. We have been on a road trip this holiday. This was the best one for us. Service is exceptional. The property is just amazing! Extremely well maintained. Great for children as well. And the food was so good, that it was hard to stop eating! A big thanks to the entire staff! Loved the stay, and we hope to be back again soon.
Wish you had something for reducing the mosquitos. That was the only reason we were literally afraid to stay out downstairs to enjoy the waterside.
Standout staff member was Joseph the driver - he took both my mum and I to the airport and was just superb. So professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. He was a delight and such a great representative of the CGH brand! Other staff members were courteous, helpful and professional during the one night stay. Location is excellent, walking distance to everything, lovely grounds, breakfast outside is lovely in morning and it's not buffet so it feels very intentional and not wasteful. Architecture is lovely, colonial style, in line with the local surroundings but still comfortable.
Nothing to really complain about. Just generally felt the hotel was a bit overpriced for what it is compared to other 5* hotels in India with per night stay at similar prices or below.
I just loved the staff. So professional, helpful, friendly and approachable. The Hotel was special - fresh and inviting. The location was amazing and all of the complimentary benefits like High Tea and the Harbour boat ride made it extra special.
Being a bit of a wine buff. I feel that the wine list could be expanded further with the help of a sommelier.
Room was very nice. Staff were very good, polite and responsive
The noise. Simply terrible. From just after 5 am until 10 pm, every 5 minutes an extremely noisy commercial ferry arriving or leaving from 50 metres away. Too noisy to sit at pool, couldn't sleep beyond 5.30am/6 am.
in general it was ok.
The ferry, right next to the hotel is extremely noisy! Plus, when approaching and leaving rhe ferry station the building was vibrating as well.
Colonial style building
A little bit noisy
Rakennus oli upea, samoin huoneet. Henkilökunta oli aivan loistava. Sijainti oli loistava.
Ei ollut mitään.
A little beautiful oasis in the middle of Fort Kochi area. The staff were excellent and could not be more helpful. Food in all the restaurants was exceptionally good.
Nothing
Great location and spotlessly clean.
Awesome property! So much of history, architecture, finesse and grandeur in every corner of this outstanding property. The staff, amicably led by the pleasant and unassuming GM Ashwathy, are all impeccable in their courtesy, service and, attention to detail. The morning and evening entertainment/activities are a must-do. Apart from the tuk-tuk city tours, try the Water Metro from Fort Kochi to nearby stations and you will appreciate the splendour of this property even more! Centrally located, getting to Jew Town or Princess Street and other attractions are a breeze. Bicycling, walking or a tuk-tuk ride gets you everywhere within minutes. Tip: while returning to hotel, avoid saying 'Brunton Boatyard', the fares are automatically inflated! I said 'Ferry Terminal' (right beside hotel) and that worked better!
Wish the rooms were equipped with USB/C-type points for charging gadgets.
The decor, the service, the pool, the yoga, the bike hire, the breakfast.
nothing - it was great!
