Friendly , comfortable and well located

Terrible weather and the downpour prevented us from enjoying the gardens and location - but can’t fault the hotel for that !

Room 1 excellent, very spacious and great view of the river. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately there had been a flood in the room I had booked for our friends which was the only other superior room and they had to use a double room. We were not made aware of this by booking.com. The hotel manager was great and as soon as he could he moved them to a king size bedroom and gave us compensation for the disappointment, we will hopefully go back.

The views and supper over looking the river watching the sunset was just idyllic. The rooms were most comfy and spacious with everything we needed. The staff were jolly and helpful. We could not fault a thing, even the 38 degree heat.

A one night stop on our travels and it did not disappoint. The welcome was warm and it was easy to check in. Our room (#6) was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom (with a bath). It was up 2 flights of stairs but doable. We had booked in for dinner in the conservatory which, like many of their areas, overlooks the River Severn. Service was excellent as was our dinner (and wine). Breakfast is interesting... from 7.30 to 8.45 cereals, yogurts, fruits, pastries and toast is available (great for those who need to get to work). After then, the kitchen opens and you can have an amazing cooked to order breakfast! We will definitely come and stay again!

We stayed at the Riverside Inn for one night in a lovely room with a river view, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the river. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was amazing and the perfect way to start the day. Overall, a fantastic stay and excellent value. We would definitely return and highly recommend the Riverside Inn!

Hotel needs a bit of TLC scratched walls in some places. Large tv in room but not a smart tv. So nearly perfect apart from these few faults.

The location was superb, right beside the River Severn, hence Riverside Inn! The weather was superb, very hot but the room was quite cool (Room 2), great room, spacious and clean. Evening meal was very good, not top, but good value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly, so what more could you ask.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Breakfast was the only thing that let it down. Bacon was very thin and too well cooked. Fresh fruit seemed a bit old and there wasn't any for adding to yoghurt. There were only two pieces of toast and 6 pats of butter. Bran flakes were out of date.

All the outdoor tables on the terrace were reserved for others even though we had booked a table for dinner which was in the conservatory so we struggled to find somewhere to have a drink before we ate.

A lovely place set alongside a river. We stayed in the deluxe double room and everything was clean and comfortable. We only stayed the one night, but had there been availability we would have booked a second. We ate in the restaurant for both an evening meal and breakfast and the food was lovely there too. Staff were pleasant in all areas and worked very hard. We highly recommend the hotel and restaurant and will be booking again.

We had the most amazing room with a fantastic view of the river. The meals were amazing and all I can say about the staff is that they were brilliant at what they did. Those guys worked very hard and were always polite. The only grip we had was that housekeeping did not come in on the 2nd morning. Will look at going back.

Staff very pleasant but it seemed either understaffed or undertrained as service was poor both in the restaurant and hotel.

The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we had on one night. Its location was very good too for the places we were visiting.

Moving from one side of the bed was a little tight with the possibility of walking into the wall mounted tv. As the room was at the front we did have a fair bit of road noise.

Location and setting is beautiful, great views from the hotel room , restaurant and out seating area , the rooms number 2 is beautifully decorated and very comfortable

1 issue, shower head needs fixing , they did make one effort to repair , but unfortunately it was still was spraying out everywhere, plus shower head on bath was broke , tho they did inform us about thst

Bathroom in Room 2 was lovely. Main bedroom spacious. No noise from below at night.

Uninspiring breakfast, with no fish. Ordered Pate Saturday night which as it was NOT kept refrigerated, literally ran off the plate. Didn't pay for it. Windows were screwed shut and on a hot night the room because unbearable even though an office type fan was running in the room which unfortunately was noisy.

Mooie Inn aan de rivier de Severn. De foto’s gaven hoge verwachtingen maar die werden volledig waargemaakt. Prachtige ruime kamer met mogelijk nog grotere badkamer inclusief bad en inloopdouche. Fijne ruime bedden. De pub en restaurant zijn gezellig ingericht en je kan er heerlijk eten. Het personeel was erg gezellig en behulpzaam. Ontbijt was ook prima voor elkaar; keuze uit beperkt continental en a la carte breakfast. Locatie was goed, veel bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving inclusief public footpaths voor mooie wandelingen door heuvels en bos. Wat hebben we hier genoten.

The location was fabulous, the room we were staying in was very spacious and overlooking the gardens and the river. We had everything we needed. However, the staff made it extra special, they were efficient, friendly and so warm and welcoming. We would highly recommend and definitely would stay there again.

The food portions were enormous! I was completely overwhelmed. And we had a flood in the bathroom.

Beautiful rooms, stunning scenery, good location and friendly staff.

Service pretty slow for evening meal especially the Wednesday evening and on the Tuesday evening there was no 0% draft beer, only in bottles and coffee machine wasn't working so no mini pudding and hot drink available on the menu.

Lock to bedroom was fitted upside down we got locked out .Not being able to eat as a resident just after 9pm stressed staff

Superb location on the river bank. We had a room at the back over looking the river and even though it was a busy bank holiday weekend, after 11pm it was lovely and quiet. Food was traditional pub food with very large portions! Staff were veryfriendly and helpful.

Ambience and surroundings were great, as where the staff,so attentive. Good food and room was spacious with excellent bathroom layout. Ample parking also.

Personal thing but Road noise was abit much 1st thing in the morning but it is a main road so just suck it up lol.

The bed was very comfortable. The food was delicious and the lady who looked after us at breakfast was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. The outside areas were beautiful.

I was in one of the attic rooms and had loads of stairs and heavy doors to deal with. I felt the restaurant manager (male) whose conversation you couldn’t fail to hear was behaving inappropriately with the younger waitresses.

All the food was very good and view from dining room and terraces very nice indeed. The bar and dinning areas were clean and comfortable

The only issues were the main road outside is very busy with no footpaths so not a place for a walk and our room on the top floor overlooking the road has an old sash window which keeps no traffic noise out. Also the beer delivery arrived at 06.15 and the noise of the steel barrels being dropped off was very intrusive. Perhaps they could arrange a later delivery for pubs with rooms ?

Too many steep stairs up to our bedroom. Struggled to carry our bags up to the room.

Really comfortable room with chairs and a sofa so loads of space. Lovely bathroom. Great bed and a dressing table. Outside area is fab. Special mention to Grainne in the breakfast room, great service and with a smile!

It's a minor niggle but lighting in both rooms was poor. Not strong enough to read a book for example. Better lamps would make all the difference.

À 6h00 le matin un livreur de boissons est venu reprendre des fûts de bière vide et en livrer d’autres, avec beaucoup de bruit, en parlant et plaisantant à voix très haute sans aucun égard pour les gens qui dormaient (chambre 4), c’est parfaitement inacceptable !!!

Lovely evening meal, with friendly staff and quick service. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable, with a large bed and spacious en-suite. Good coffee making facilities with a pack of biscuits and a nice mini organic bar of chocolate on the bed. WiFi was fantastic, which was essential for my work. Breakfast was lovely, with a nice view over the river. I only opted for a continental breakfast, but there was a very good selection of food. The hot food menu also had a good choice.

The room was lovely and warm, spacious and the bed comfy. We ate in the conservatory and I had the steak and ale pie with buttery mash and vegetables but there were only about a dozen peas and 3 tiny bits of the herb carrots that I had been looking forward to which was a real let down.

There was some unsightly damage to the ceiling in our room.

Un classico pub con qualche camera (6 se non sbaglio) in Bed ans breakfast molto ben rifatto. Camera e bagno molto comodi e accoglienti. Personale gentilissimo. Buon ristoranti e prima colazione. Vista bella sulla campigna. Se non vi piaccione le catene hoteliere senza personalità questo posto e perfetto.
