The only thing I would highlight about this hotel is the location and the restaurant staff.

The hotel overall is very old. It does not look like the pictures. The rooms were okay. The food at the restaurant wasn’t that good either but the WORST PART and I want everyone to be very careful about is that booking tells you that this hotel has the breakfast included on the reservation, but once you get to the hotel the clerks are going to clarify that only 2 people per room can have the breakfast included and the rest must pay for it. Makes zero sense to me but that’s the deal with them. In our reservation we were 4 people and we had to pay the breakfast for the other 2 guests for the 3 days we stayed there. Paying for not very good food is always going to be upsetting.

I had a bad experience my room air conditioner did not work and when I called the front desk, they sent maintenance to check the AC unit. It wasn’t working so I was sent to a different room that seemed like a downgrade room. The staff was rude.

Pretty landscaping, very nice pool, comfortable beds . They staff were all very helpful and efficient

There was a big event with lots of people who were loud and disruptive . We were woken up at 2:00 am both nights we stayed. Very strong smell of cigarette smoke and marijuana getting into our room, and on the elevator. There was a press on artificial finger nail on the floor, next to the bed. One outlet didn’t work. There were bugs, dead and alive.

The air conditioner leaked and we switched rooms then the elevator went out and was down for over 24 hours. Also the jets in the spa were not working and the towels at the pool were small

poco personal que hable español. no hay variedad atractiva en los alimentos del buffet. ¡encontré un mosquito en el melón! la puerta de la habitación se cerraba o abría después de un buen empujón, tal vez la puerta estaba hinchada.

The property is a little run down, and at the end of hotel circle near a bus stop that had homeless people at it most of the time. We also had 4 of us staying in the room and were only given 3 towels when we called to ask for more they said they would bring them but never did. So we had to ask again the following day.

Tenía parking y desayuno incluido y tuve q pagar el parking y el desayuno era solo para dos y era bastante pobre, x no decir q escaso. La ubicación tampoco era muy adecuada y de noche era bastante ruidoso. Se oía las voces de las otras habitaciones hasta bien entrada la madrugada. Muy caro para lo que ofrecen.

Location is the best! fairly easy and close to get to downtown San Diego, to Sea World, to San Diego Zoo by car.

Queen size bed mattress may be outdated, felt a big dip in the middle. Parking lot can get full after 9pm, hard to find a parking spot.

The hotel is close to the airport and is about a 15 mins drive to the airport. Parking is provided for all guests. I chose the A-La-Carte breakfast and it was really good. The staff in the breakfast area were very friendly and welcoming. I chose the King Bed option and the room was spacious and comfortable. It is located in the Hotel Circle area and there are lot of hotels nearby as well. WIll come back once again

I realy liked this hotel. Large complex with spacious rooms and a good breakfast, menun or buffet. Also an independent small shop and gym area with outside pool. Fully recommended.

Bit remote. However, bus stop on the road outside the hotel takes you to the Transit Station central hub for access to most areas in San Diego which i used every day, so not a problem for me.

The only issue that I had was there was a lot of door slamming throughout the afternoon into the evening. I wasnt sure if it was other tenants or staff. Also on the day of checkout I had several staff members knock on the door way before my 11 checkout. But overall good experience

I had a very good stay here. The facilities/building/rooms are very old and it looks out of the 80s. But don't be turned off by its drab exterior. The hotel is perfectly fine, and more importantly, it has good amenities, including a clean pool that was heated at night and open until 10pm, a good hot tub with jacuzzi, laundry, small fitness center, snack shop, bar that was open at 5pm until 10pm, and a breakfast restaurant. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff are all very nice. Shoutout to the front desk Filipina woman who helped me move rooms (more on that below). She was very kind and helpful. The values for the cost is very good. And again, nothing wrong with this hotel other than being ugly/outdated. The fixtures are old and looking run down but it's not a big deal, especially given how much more affordable it is than other hotels. Wifi was free. I didn't bring a car but if you're parking, you can get $10 off by signing up for the free account. Otherwise, parking is $28. I felt safe and comfortable here.

This is not really the hotel's fault, but I was in one of those adjoining rooms and I could hear EVERYTHING the people next to me were saying. They were loud and also constantly slamming their door. I drowned it out with turning the fan on nonstop but did ask if I could move to a non-adjoining room. The kind front desk woman accommodated me and I appreciated it. The next room I was in was not adjoining and it was very quiet and wonderful. The location is adjacent to the freeway and it's not walkable and there aren't restaurants/coffee shops nearby. You could walk about .7 miles or so to the shopping mall but I didn't do that. If you are not renting a car, then there's only one bus line that it serves right outside the hotel (the 88). That line does take you to the Old Town Transit Center where there are many options, including the free airport shuttle. I used the airport shuttle + 88 for a whopping $2.50 to get to/from the airport. Took me maybe 30-35 minutes. Really easy and convenient. Also, the DOORS SLAM SO FREAKING LOUD. It's insane how loud the doors slam. This is partially the fault of inconsiderate guests who don't seem to know how to close a door thoughtfully, but it's also the design of these doors that they SLAM SO LOUD. They really need to upgrade the doors so that they close more quietly.

I can’t find a single thing I liked about this property. It was way overpriced completely outdated. The rooms were awful!!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here and I certainly won’t stay at a Crowne Plaza again! Rip off!!!!

I had a great stay here. Lots of fountains/waterfalls creating a relaxing and calm atmosphere (which was much needed) Front desk staff was great, location was perfect, and pro tip - Create IhG account beforehand to save on the parking fee! Also, balconies are empty. So if you want to sit and have a coffee etc.., you have to bring out a chair from the room. Also note, breakfast was NOT included in my package.

Not as updated as far as the exterior of the building. But the rooms were updated.

Property was beautiful and clean. Good location to do all the SD things (SeaWorld, Mission Beach, downtown SD, etc - 10 minutes or less from all of it). Big nice heated pool and nice hot tub. Nice size rooms as well, and loved the balcony!

Toilet took 10 seconds of holding the handle to flush….until it didn’t. Then we had to call maintenance, but they were quick to come fix it - under 10 minutes and the problem was solved. Didn’t appreciate paying for parking, but not surprised…it wasn’t terrible pricing. Didn’t do breakfast as $23/person is outrageous no matter where you’re at. Also, elevators took a while with only two main elevators and only 1 worked most of the time.

The pool and hot tub were awesome! The water features in between the rooms were pretty. The room and bathroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Happy hour everyday from 4-6, the staff and food were amazing. Also the parking felt safe having to scan in and out. Worth the extra money.

The parking spaces need some help, the paint was off on a a lot of them (like crooked) so no one could park right or they were very close to other cars. You could barely get out without hitting the car next to you.

The property was clean. I did enjoy the stay. It was easy to get in and out..

The air conditioning needs to be updated. The room stayed a little too warm for my liking especially in the summer time. It literally stay at 75 degrees when i turned it down to atleast 60... the whole day it stayed at 75.. parking was an issue as well but it was independence day so it was a given that it would be kind of busy.

From the staff being helpful and kind to the rapid response of when needing items were delivered super fast.

The reception staff were exceptionally professional and were the only highlight of our stay. Their warm, courteous service significantly enhanced the overall hotel experience.

Frequent noise from the room above, including loud impacts and repeated door slamming, significantly disrupted our stay. The breakfast buffet was disappointing, with several items appearing stale, including the Fruit Loops, pancakes, and bread. A waiter (Anthony) also touched a guest on the shoulder while serving, which felt inappropriate and inconsistent with expected hospitality standards. On June 29, waiter - Daniel attempted to charge us for breakfast despite our complimentary vouchers being clearly displayed. We also experienced delays obtaining basic items, and his comment that we could “keep the complimentary pen” came across as condescending rather than service-oriented. We were further concerned by a visible police presence at the hotel and reports of an altercation, creating an unsettling atmosphere. The room also had maintenance issues, including a broken coat hook, damaged TV connections, inaccurate channel listings, and unavailable channels. While the exterior appearance of the hotel was acceptable, the overall guest experience was not. The combination of noise disturbances, room maintenance issues, questionable breakfast quality, service concerns involving Daniel, and the unsettling security situation resulted in a stay that did not meet expectations. Overall Rating: 1/5 Stars Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel and would encourage prospective guests to carefully consider other options before booking.

Cuando tomamos la reserva lo hicimos con desayuno incluido y nos dijeron que no estaba incluido, también llevamos 2 vehículos y nos cobraron 56 dólares por usar el parqueadero me parece injusto ya que nos hemos quedado en muchos hoteles y nunca nos han cobrado parqueadero, también quisimos utilizar la piscina después de checar la salida y nos dijeron que si podíamos utilizar la piscina pero no nos prestaban las duchas para podernos asear después de usar la piscina

We checked in late around 11pm and when we walked in everyone looked away or acted busy until one lady assisted us. She told me they take parking out of the deposit didn’t ask if that was ok just kind of told us and you can’t pay cash or switch credit cards at check out. She didn’t give us our breakfast vouchers that we paid for (not included with room) so we didn’t have them at breakfast the kind hostess at the restaurant got them for us. The Property is very outdated and basic for the amount we paid. We stayed on the 6th floor and it smelled bad outside we were facing the parking lot and the bushes horrible view. we put notes in the booking that it was our child’s birthday and there was nothing done. The balcony door did not lock. Room was very basic nothing special at all no microwave which was requested in the notes but it did come with a fridge. One of the ponds were empty the elevator windows were disgusting and had water stains like they don’t clean them. Parking should be included if I’m staying at a hotel but hey I guess that’s normal now smh. The bar and restaurant doesn’t open until 3 which doesn’t make sense. We wanted drinks during the day. The breakfast that we paid for was buffet style but at the restaurant. could have been included in price the servers only brought drinks and cleaned tables. Thank you to the hostess for bringing my son a slice of cake with candle since he had on his birthday sash. We decided to do late check out so we could get in the pool charged for that. the pool and jacuzzi was probably the only good thing at the hotel and the nice restaurant staff. Pool and jacuzzi have towels on the side to grab. Marketplace store prices are expensive $6 for a Powerade $6 for coconut water $5 for a hersey bar. Overall I’m 100% sure there are better hotels to stay at for the amount we paid!
