The hostel was great! Very cosy living area and atmosphere. Rooms had everything you needed and were very clean. Easy access and fast access to Jasper Nationalpark. Host Angie is great and has good hiking tips.

Vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel, maar op het randje van het opdringerige … het blijft een vreemd gegeven dat er enkel eenpersoonskamers kamers aanwezig zijn (blijkbaar een overblijfsel uit het oorspronkelijke yoga-concept), maar dat weet je uiteraard op voorhand …

The second night I had to leave the hostel because of power outage. I got to know it at 9 pm. It was dark already, no internet connection and I was there without any help to find a new place to sleep. It was frustrating and I was disappointed.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Zimmer sauber

Zimmer klein, spartanisch, bei meinem geschlossenen Fenster ist trotzdem kalte Luft hereingezogen, direkt zum Kopf und es gibt keine richtige Bettdecke nur ein Lacken und eine leichte Decke, wir sind alle halb erfroren, in einem Zimmer nicht funktionierende Heizung. Ab 22 Uhr gibt es keine Ansprechpartner, daher auch keine Lösung, haben voll bekleidet geschlafen. Auch die Duschen sind eine Katastrophe, viel zu klein, Wasser nicht richtig warm, Wasserstrahl nicht veränderbar, sprüht nur die Wand an. Lage weit außerhalb von Jasper (40 min Autofahrt!) und trotz Lage im Wald hört man die Straße. Leider nicht zu empfehlen.

En booking nos indicaba 2 huéspedes y ellos dijeron que solo era uno y tuvimos que pagar más dinero, por otra habitación, solicitan retirarse los zapatos para estar adentro y eso no nos gustó, adicional no tienen implementos de cuidado personal en las habitaciones, ni dejan que uno como en la habitación, la verdad estéticamente es un lindo lugar, pero me pareció que tenía varios puntos que no harían que yo vuelva

Einzelzimmer, was nach einer längeren Reise auch mal angenehm ist. Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, Handtücher wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Tee und Kaffee zur freien Entnahme, sehr nettes Personal.

Das einzige, was ich zu bemängeln habe, ist die verhältnismäßig schlechte Lage mit knapp 45 Minuten Fahrzeit nach Jasper. Dafür entschädigt allerdings die schöne Fahrtstrecke:)

Struttura semplice ma moderna, pulita, immersa nella natura. Il ragazzo italiano alla reception molto gentile e simpatico. Nella struttura si può cucinare c’è una cucina molto ben fornita. Vicino un’ottima birreria dove mangiare. La posizione un po’ decentrata rispetto a jasper ma ottima perché è la zona non colpita dagli incendi.

Il prezzo è comunque elevato ma minore rispetto a quelli della zona

Chambres et salles de bain individuelles, lieux communs très propres, bonne ambiance et personnel très sympathique. Le bar/ restaurant à côté est top !

Peut être un peu trop loin de tout mais c’est ce qui fait son charme aussi.

The Hostel was clean and attractive. Light decor and thoughtfully designed.

The manager was harsh. There are a lot of rules: no shoes, no food in rooms, etc. The rules make sense but Angie shares them with a gleeful iron fist. A simple, "we like to keep the mice outside so, please, no food in the room" instead of bragging about the number of rules. She really did brag. My main complaint, however, involves the lack of support during the power outage. There was a major power outage in the area during the day. We were in Hinton exploring. Since there was no way to get lunch in Hinton, we drove to Jasper since we had an evening tour scheduled. Jasper got their electricity back around 2. We had 2 emails from Angie asking us not to return until after 9. We got back to the hostel shortly after 10. No electricity. Just Angie telling us that she had packed up our food and we had to find somewhere else to stay for the evening. And by the way there were no rooms or power in Jasper or Hinton. She suggested that we sleep in our cars at the Hinton Wal-Mart. "Hurry up and pack. You're the last ones in. And it's ok to keep your shoes on" (I loved that part.) She then started asking what we were going to do and , no, we couldn't sleep in the hostel's parking lot. We chose to drive back to Jasper (45 minutes), arriving around 1130, and were blessed to see a vacancy sign at the Tonquin Inn. We may have gotten the last room. Much better than being arrested for vagrancy and public urination at the Hinton Wal-Mart. I understand that the Hostel had no control over the power outage and that apparently the health department would not allow the hostel to be open without water but surely Angie could have called around to find available rooms OR let people hang out in the parking lot and once power was returned, open the hostel. Power may have returned 10 minutes after we left. Overall the hostel is clean and comfortable. It is in a fairly remote area which might be just what you are looking for.

The host was great and helpful. The place seems new and is spotlessly clean. This would be a great place to stay for a longer period of time than I was able to. The kitchens (2) were well equipped and modern. Bring your own food and enjoy!! My room had a private bathroom which I loved.

Wifi is best in common area. I wish I could have stayed longer. Not their fault but I assumed it was closer to the town of Jasper. It's actually near the East gate of Jasper NP. Nice location behind Folding Mountain Brewing.

The kitchen was well-equipped to enable us to prepare our meals well. The rooms were well-furnished and the beds were comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and helped us with our itinerary so we could experience the best that Jasper has to offer. We had such a wonderful stay at the hostel.

Das Zimmer wie auch der gesamte gemeinschaftliche Küchen- und Wohnbereich waren außerordentlich sauber, gepflegt und manches schien neu gemacht worden zu sein.

Ich kann nicht unbefangen urteilen, weil ich offensichtlich unkonzentriert bei der Suche war: Im Netz stand eindeutig „Hostel“, also Jugendherberge, und nicht "Hotel". Mein Fehler. Zimmer mit nur einem Einzelbett, i.O., ich brauche kein King-Size-Bett, wo ich ständig mit einem überdimensionierten Bettlaken rumwurstele. Dass das Zimmer nur aus einem Flur, ein paar Haken an der Wand, einem kurzen Bett, für 1,90 m große Personen nicht geeignet, und gleich daneben einem Waschbecken bestand, hatte ich nicht erwartet. Kein Stuhl, kein Tisch. Wenn der Toilettenbereich nicht abgeteilt gewesen wäre, hätte man bei diesem „Zimmer“ an etwas anderes denken können. Zugegeben, die lange Liste, was alles verboten ist, habe ich wohl nicht genau gelesen. Das meiste hört und liest man auch in den besten Hotels. Dass aber alle Gäste morgens um spätestens 11.00 Uhr das Haus verlassen müssen und erst um fünf Uhr nachmittags wieder reingelassen werden, hat mich doch geschockt. Ich dachte, ich hatte das Zimmer für den ganzen Tag gebucht. Internet war in dem Bereich, in dem mein „Zimmer“ lag, nicht zu kriegen. Schulterzucken, das ist ebenso. Keine Rede davon, dass das avisiert und auch mitgezahlt war.

The place is very comfortable, clean and the design is very pleasant. The room was relatively spacious, overlooking the forest, with a comfortable bed. The staff (both morning and evening shifts) were kind and helpful. I liked the room a lot and you have all you need at the property.

You have to take off your shoes at the door, which means that if you need to go to a car for the rest of things/suitcases, etc. you'll be taking them on/off all the time, not very comfortable. There is a curfew, which makes you limited to enter/leave the place within certain hours - might be a serious nuisance.

The interior was very stylish and smells like wood

The location is quite far from the town of Jasper. GPS won't bring you to the door. I didn't get the message with instructions on how to get there as I was traveling and the service is poor in the area. Look for a dirt road behind Folding Brewing Co it leads to the hostel.

The hotel was very calm, the beds very comfy and the overall very clean.

The hostel is very new, clean, and well maintained. The staff are professional, friendly, and welcoming. The owner, Angie, was incredibly hospitable and gave us many helpful suggestions and tips about staying at the hostel, as well as what to see and how to explore Jasper, Banff, and the surrounding areas. Angie’s warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family!

Everything was great. The location is about 40 minutes away from downtown Jasper but it’s close to some great hikes and about 20 minutes from Hinton

We waren zeer aangenaam verrast. We werden uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen direct handige tips om ons verblijf nog aangenamer te maken. We voelden ons direct thuis. Heel goede bedden en zeer rustig. Een echte aanrader en ook zeer geschikt voor wat oudere mensen zoals wij. Lekker ontbijt en diner in de directe omgeving. Je krijgt een plaats voor je spullen toegewezen in de frigo. Niet twijfelen, ga erheen, er wordt speciaal gelet op de rust in de accomodatie.

Beautifully clean and thoughtful design in the rooms, friendly kind staff, great large kitchen and common area. We love folding mountain brewery so being close to there was lovely. This is a great place to lay your head after several nights in a tent!

I would prefer if the rooms were not all single occupancy. The price seems high for that to be the case.

Self-catering, very well-organised and clean and lots of room and kitchen equipment to do your own catering.

At the moment, the place is being developed, so car park, lighting, signage, road to the car park are obviously being developed. Next summer, I am sure it will have everything set out beautifully. I drove from Calgary to Jasper with my daughter (who is living and working in Jasper) and only left Jasper (with my daughter in Jasper) at 8.30 pm. The drive from Jasper to the place is very straight-forward - a straight line for 44 km and very magnificent views. It took me 3 attempts to find the hostel, as the track to it is behind the cabins and follows out from the back of the "Folding Mountain" rear car park. Once I knew that, it was fine. I want to thank so much the kind, lovely lady in the cabins office who pointed me to the hostel at 9.30 pm (last check-in is 10 pm so time was getting very tight). Thank you, thank you, thank you. Also, thank you to the lovely staff at the hostel. Once I found it, I loved. it. It is so clean, bright, staff and fellow-travellers are lovely. You can sit in the communal areas and chat, play chess, cards, drink tea. Outstanding.

There was a light outside my window that kept me up. It was a light in the side of the building. On my second night, I ended up moving to the end of the bed and slept there so the light couldn’t bother me.

Beautiful, clean, everything is brand new, and the staff and owner are absolutely wonderful. They make you feel like you’re being cared for as if you were part of their own family.

The rooms and common room was very clean and the red light in the bedroom was very relaxing.

Everything The place feels like a prison, the room like a prison cell and the reception person like a prison warden giving orders. No ac, tv, fridge, wifi, table , chair or toiletries in the room. Very small bed. Half an hour before check out staff started knocking on the door and demanding to leave. I told that I would write a bad review, a staff person said she didn't care. Avoid unless you absolutely have to stay there.

Had a great stay, rooms are very clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and welcoming. Shared kitchen areas are well stocked with everything needed to prepare food. Restaurant/brewery within walking distance for a meal. Felt very safe. Be sure to arrive before 10pm as the staff leaves for the night and doors are locked.

Traffic noise from the highway can be a bit loud depending on which side of the building your room is facing. It was most noticeable at night when the window was open. I still slept well, but may be a consideration for light sleepers.

Uns hat das Hostel mit seiner ganzen Ausstattung und der Lage mitten in der Natur sehr gut gefallen! Für uns war die Unterbringung jeweils allein in einem Zimmer mit Bad ungewöhnlich, aber eine tolle Erfahrung! Die gemeinschaftliche Küche hatte genügend Platz und Komfort für alle. Angela hat uns gute Tipps für Touren gegeben und war immer ansprechbar!

Brand new hostel, everything was immaculately clean and comfortable, comfortable beds, nice en suite bathrooms, kitchen was spotless and spacious, very well organised and Jean-Marc at reception was helpful with recommendations!

Very far from jasper, you can't entry in your room from 11 am to 5 pm we was surprised

It was my first time staying in a hostel and it was a positive experience. I had a room with it's own toilet and shower. The communal areas were very nice. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Just 2 minutes walk away there's a brewery that has a bar that serves food. All in all, excellent value.

The main drawback is the distance from Jasper, it's a 45 minute drive. There was however, a late morning shuttle.

Room was nice, with a sink in the room, storage shelves and hooks for hangng, and a small bathroom. All clean. Good, well organized kitchen facilities with bins for each room, and a dining table. A lounge. Internet worked OK in my room (10) but is apparently a bit spotty in other rooms. Friendly staff. Location was good for the east side of Jasper National Park - Miette Hot Springs + hikes around there, several of the lakes. The brewery which is really close has a good restaurant, even with some vegetarian and vegan food. Small town of Hinton is quite close for groceries and other restaurants.

Only one towel was provided, but the shower was in the bathroom and the sink was in the bedroom, so kept having to go dripping from the bedroom to the bathroom. A small hand towel at the sink would have been nice. Bed was located right beside the window, so there were some cold drafts over my head at night. East of the park is quite far from Jasper and the main park areas. It's a hostel, not a hotel, so no equipment in the room (no fridge - but there was one in the main area; no hairdryer). No food allowed in the rooms. The place is locked between 11am-5pm. I thought the 5pm would be a problem, but it actually wasn't because there was enough to do in the park and going into Hinton, that 5pm was fine.

Very nice place, comfortable and the staff was excellent and very helpful. The rooms were perfect and the kitchen had everything you needed.

A second pillow that is flatter or to have a second one to read better etc. Otherwise everything perfect.

Le logement était super ! Angie donnait de super conseils pour les randos et balades aux alentours ! Les espaces communs étaient confortables et bien équipés. Tout était neufs et propres !

Bien que le logement soit super, tout doit être fait en voiture, car il n’y pas de commerces à proximité.

Nos costó encontrarlo pq no había ninguna indicación que se viera, gracias a qué preguntamos por los alrededores a varias personas conseguimos llegar. La ducha está fija con lo que es casi imposible ducharse sin mojarse la cabeza, y lavarse la cabeza tb es complicado para las que tenemos pelo largo.

Be aware there is a 2nd floor when booking, outside stairs might be a mobility challenge. All guests must be out of the building between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Clean, quiet, well located with plenty of parking. The room was up to date, the common kitchen area was spacious and well equipped, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. If you are accustomed to staying at Shangri-la and Four Seasons hotels, this might not be the place for you, but overall it offers excellent value

Very new modern hostel, tastefully furnished in nordic style.

We are a family of five that had a fantastic stay at Jasper East Hostel. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, and after many days travelling and sharing rooms, it was wonderful to finally have a room for each of us! The hostel has a spacious, very well-equipped kitchen and a cozy lounge. Everything was very clean and comfortable. A special thank you to Angie, who was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. It was great meeting her. All five of us really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back. Thank you, Angie! ❤️

The only downside is that it’s a little far from the town of Jasper.
