Honglu Garden Hotel Xi'an

Hotel con atrio bellissimo e pieno di tradizione. Le camere belle con bagno molto grande. Posizione ottima di fianco alla muraglia di Xi'An e, alla sera, a pochi passi dall'hotel c'è una strada che si riempie di street food incredibile .

L'hôtel est très bien placé par rapport au mur, puisque ma fenêtre donnait directement dessus et qu'un point d'accès pour y monter est à quelques pas. La jeune femme à l'accueil était adorable et pleine de bonne volonté, et j'ai même eu droit à une patate douce rôtie en rentrant un soir. La chambre était grande, propre et très confortable.

Les métros sont un peu loin, il faut marcher un bon moment pour y arriver. La rue peut être bruyante puisqu'il y a une sorte de marché un peu plus loin, et le haut du mur a pas mal de passage, surtout en cette période de fête du printemps.

El hotel se encuentra al lado de la muralla de Xian, por lo cual es muy conveniente sobre todo si se quiere dejar este paseo por el final del día para llegar ahí a la vuelta. El hotel tiene un ambiente moderno manteniendo el estilo chino. La habitación estaba bien decorada, era cómoda y tenía agua y té para la estadía.

Había posibilidad de pedir desayuno que cobran bastante caro por ser al final un desayuno de McDonalds si se pide el desayuno occidental. Bastante decepcionado. La chica que estaba a la recepción me advirtió (en chino) que había bares cerca para el desayuno, por lo cual conviene comer afuera. Tienen también un restaurante pero también muy caro comparado con los precios de la ciudad.

Tutto perfetto! Addirittura il WC intelligente con funzione lavaggio che non avevo mai visto! Ho adorato la doccia spaziosissima quasi come una spa.

Vista sulle mura di Xi'an bella zona con un piccolo mercato sotto l'hotel ma forse un po' lontano dalle attrazioni principali. Ma d'altronde siete in Cina e un po' dovete camminare!

Très bon emplacement à proximité des remparts et de la porte Sud, de lieux de restauration, de marchés locaux. À 30min du cœur de la ville. Grande terrasse avec la chambre. Lit très grand et confortable. Superbes équipements dans la salle de bain.

Il fait trop froid dans la salle de bain même avec le système de chauffage. Plusieurs traces de saletés sur les murs. Présence de chats enfermés dans une vitrine.

This hotel is so beautifully decorated and the room was huge, with very modern and sleek facilities and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Great value for money. It is located right on the south side of the old city walls and close to the Xiaonanmen night market. There were free drinks on offer in the reception area which were always a lovely treat to come back to.

The nearest metro station is a 20 minute walk away. The hotel is also on a busy street with bars so you can at times hear the music, but it wasn’t overbearing.

Die Lage: obwohl direkt an der Stadtmauer, sehr weit weg von U-Bahn-bzw. Busstation (20 Minuten zu Fuß). Am Wochenende ziemlich laut. Die Personal war leider nicht besonders freundlich.

La encargada nos ayudó mucho y nos trató con mucha amabilidad. La ubicación es excelente, está situado justo delante de uno de los accesos a la muralla de Xi'an. La decoración es muy acertada, de inspiración tradicional, especialmente la terraza.

Hay una carta del restaurante en la habitación, pero si se quiere pedir algo es necesario encargarlo con antelación.

Can get a little noisy on weekends but was not so problematic. Furthermore, the rooms could be cleaner (few hairs and small bits of dried food left lying around)

Location is exceptional. View on the wall is wonderful and it is not noise in the street. Room is spacious, and balcony and tea room were very cozy. Very traditional design. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. A lot of restaurants and shops right next to the hotel.

In the lobby there are cats in glass cages, and although cats are beautiful they are very distressed and definitely lack room. Water temperature in the shower is a bit insufficient, it goes only up to 40C

Gorgeous hotel decor with a beautiful roof garden which is what drew us to book here! Good room, good location.

The breakfast! The Western Breakfast turned out to be a McDonald's!! They called it a ham and cheese breakfast and it was a sausage McMuffin! Really disappointed and it's misleading. My friend is a vegetarian who is allergic to eggs and he was left with no breakfast at all because there was only one non-meat option (something called a cheesecake!) and when it arrived it turned out to be an egg McMuffin. Not great. The 'restaurant' had a menu full of meat and you needed to pre-book and pre-order so they could buy the food in to cook it. I wouldn't bother with the restaurant although it's beautiful up there.

Was unable to set the heating and cooling settings. The courtyard room also had a bad drainage system, so the room got really smelly.

Afschuwelijk katten in glazen hokjes in de lobby. Ernstige dieren mishandeling. Snap niet dat mensen in reviews zeggen dat leuk te vinden. Ver van de metro. Ontbijt was voorverpakt, geleverd op de kamer. Is geen ontbijtzaal. In booking staat incl 2 flessen bier. Pas de derde nacht was er een meisje die begreep wat wij bedoelde en ons 2 flessen gaf. Zelf aanbieden is een aanrader. .

Staff were really lovely, they were really nice and helpful and they let us make our own postcard when we arrived. The gym was ok, laundry room was helpful. Room was really comfortable, very quaint and authentic. The hotel is good value and good location

The hotel itself is really nice and well decorated, with extra atention to the details (like the room numbers on traditional roof tiles or the room key cards made out of wood). Also the staff was really really helpful and tried to assist us in anyway they could.

The breakfast could have been better. You get two options, the chinese one was not bad, though the beef patty was a bit greasy, but if by any chance you order the western one, they'll just bring you a McDonalds bag.

The location of the hotel is great, it is very close to many bars and restaurants. The bed was big and very comfortable and there was a big terrace in our room.

They have 6 Belgan cats in 2 small cages. We did not like that, the cats were all day and night inside the cage. The carpet in the corridor and room were quite dirty and bathroom was flooded every time we took a shower. They offer an option of western breakfast from MCdonals. The breakfast is a burger from Mcdonals that they bring to your room.

The shower is top tier. The room is clean and spacious. We used the free laundry and was perfect! The staff is really kind and they helped us find a good restaurant. We followed their recommendations and we ended up in a really delicious restaurant.

At the beginning we went to the wrong hotel because they have a similar name. Double check the address of this hotel if you use Apple Maps.

Honestly I was very disturbed by the fact that 4/5 cats were kept almost 24/7 in very small cages in the hall of the hotel… they often cried and clealry wanted to come out… Sad

Fine Hotel

They have about 8 exotic cats, but locked up in these very tiny enclosed glass column like cages. I tried to explain to the receptionist that American and European would look at this as animal abuse but what I said did not register with her. Here is my reocommendation again : Have 2 or 3 cats roam around the lobby freely and the tourists will love it.

Great location, walking distance to the most attractions, beautiful rooftop garden over look the city wall. Staffs are very nice.

Lack of furnitures in the room, there’s no wardrobe, no fridge, no chairs and tables and safe. Very limited options for breakfast, for western style breakfast is McDonald breakfast take away. They will serve to you room with the time you gave to them the day before, but the breakfast must stay in the carry bag for a while, it’s all soaked and tastes horrible.

Excellent location. Right by the Xian wall, morning markets & nightlife right outside the door. The garden was beautiful and clearly well loved by the staff. Laundry service is limited and excludes underwear/socks/shoes.

The hotel is in a fantastic location directly opposite the old city wall. We found it a little confusing on arrival as there is no obvious name outside and the front looks slightly different than in the pictures. As two British travellers with no Mandarin language skills we could communicate with staff very easily through translation apps. Our room was on the top floor which we would recommend as that allowed us to see the top of the wall and beyond, rooms lower down seemed likely to just have a view of the wall. Room was clean and spacious, although lacked wardrobe space. The shower appears to leak under the floor and it and the toilet had confusing controls. Appreciated the free self service washing machine and dryer.

We decided to arrive a day early and the staff was able to find us a room, with a nice discount, that was great for our family. The following day we moved to the room we had booked, which was amazing - the family room with private courtyard. The courtyard is beautiful and has a seating area overlooking the wall. Perfect. Staff is very accomodating, friendly and helpful, and worked with translator apps to bridge the language barrier. Location is amazing - right next to the wall, and a few blocks from the South Gate.

Breakfast wasn't included and it was difficult for us to find a sit-down breakfast - we were sent to the nearby corner, where there are many stalls with long queues of people buying traditional Chinese breakfasts, but wasn't quite what we were looking for. The Bengal cats in the lobby are beautiful, but we felt sad for them in the glass cages all day. We did ask them to let one out to cuddle and play with one evening, which we did, and were able to feed them treats. But I hope they are out more than that for exercise and play.

The staff was super friendly! Like my other reviews I don't care if they speak English or not. They were all engaged and really wanted to help out. I've also prolonged my stay here, and it went super smooth since the personal was good at their job. They had engagement that surprised me.

The location of the hotel is excellent! It’s easy to get all over the city. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathroom is in great shape.

The AC wasn’t working and the only way to keep the room cool was to have the windows open which unfortunately can be loud and smokey at night.

I stayed here with my wife and really enjoyed the nights here. The facilities and the room exceded my expectations. The room was spacious with a sofa for drinking tee while looking at the City Wall. The bathroom was hight-end in everything. We also made use of the laundry room to wash our clothes. It was for free. Also, I want to highlight the attention of the staff with us. They booked taxis (cheap) and made some reservations for us. The front desk is open basically 24/7 despite what is stated in booking with regards to the check-in hours.

I have to say that I really did not like the use of animals as decorations. There are 4 cats in a small cage and a baby see turtle in a small basin swimming in circles.

Great stay at this boutique hotel. Location is great facing one part of Xian City Wall. Beds are so comfortable and room was clean. Down the road on the right are many stalls for breakfast and on the left will be about 7-10 mins walk to the main part of the wall. The staff were very helpful and nice, booking us cabs to get around. We primarily used translation apps to communicate from eng- mandarin. Loved that I could do my laundry for free as well.

I could not use the TV. Did not know how to navigate this. Perhaps a manual will be helpful.

The hotel is literally in front of the Wall and is a 15-20 min walk to the South Gate Entrance for The Wall. It's also a 15-20 min walk or two bus stops to the Drum Tower,Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. There's plenty of food options around the corner from the hotel and they offer free local ice pops. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The laundry facilities are also free. Also The garden area is very nice and have a nice view of people walking on The Wall. The rooms are comfortable and spacious.

The location was very central for the Wall and it was easy to get around and find places to eat. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff don't speak any English so communication was done through WeChat.

I found it distressing that they keep their cats in a tiny cage - 6 cats locked in a very small cage all day, every day is just cruel. As a result of the cats in a cage, the reception area smells a bit of cat pee. Although the location was central, the food area around the corner was dirty and very crowded. One word of advice: give the Terracotta Warriors a miss at this time of year - it was the worst experience of my life. Long queues to get into the place, hoardes and hoardes of people pushing and shoving to get into the pits. A major safety issue with people 10 deep trying to see the warriors in Pit 1. A huge waste of money as it wasn't possible to see anything due to the crowds. The toilets were unspeakably disgusting as well.

Great location near Zhuque gate inside the Ancient City Wall. All attractions can be reached by walk; but out of the mess of the downtown. Place quiet and clean. Great atmosphere. Price fair.

Staff does not speak English and it made communication a little bit difficult. However, they were kind and did whatever they could for supporting me. I was happy with them anyway.

The hotel was in a very good location, within an easy walking distance to different attractions. There were lots of bars on the street and a huge market at the end of the road to grab breakfast each day. The hotel was deceivingly big with lots of different rooms over different levels giving it some character rather than just a plain, rectangular box. We didn't eat at the hotel as the market was so conveniently placed at the end of the road. It was easy to get taxis to tourist sites as on the other side of the city wall was a main road. The staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs, saying hello politely is something small but not necessarily something that happens everywhere in China so was a nice thing. The beds are not hard but they're not soft. I prefer softer. The room didn't have loads of windows to outside so was darker than others I've stayed in which suits me for sleeping. In Xi'An, you're not going to be spending copious amounts of time in the room anyway. This hotel was reasonably priced for the quality.

The biggest and main downside is the bars below. Fortunately I had brought ear plugs but the music from the bar below was incredibly loud in the bedrooms. Sound does travel through concrete buildings but even so, it was very loud. The first night we managed to tolerate it but the second night I couldn't. The staff were fast and helpful at accommodating us to a new room at the opposite side and up a level away from the noise which was better. We could still hear some music but it wasn't thumping to the same extent. If you're susceptible to noise, bring ear plugs and the higher the floor, the better. The bed was harder than my European preference but that's a 'me' problem. Just worth noting if you're the same. I ended up with increasingly painful shoulders over the 3 days. My girlfriend was absolutely fine so important for me to acknowledge again, it's me, not the hotel!

The most helpful receptionists ever they helped me find transportation and book tickets for different events. So clean, the room was big enough. Very comfortable bed. Very close to the main attractions. Great price. the area around was great for couples or youngsters.

Noise from the neighboring room, shower clogged. They first wanted to give me a room without windows!

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is at a great location, right next to the wall, inside the old part of town. Around the corner are many local restaurants, and especially in the evening there are lots of tables and chairs on the sidewalk and you can have a tasty local dinner there. Also several coffee-bars, bars and night clubs just around the corner. The view from the roof terrace of the hotel is great! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed is comfy. Due to Covid (and that there are only a few guests staying here) they don't serve breakfast. Note that the Pusu Jade Boutique (floors 2 and 3) and Pusu Zen Collection (floor 4) are the same hotel. The view on the city wall are the best from the 3rd and 4th floor. Value for money.

They didn't serve breakfast The rooms didn't smell really fresh and had a slight smoky/damp smell, but with the window open it smelled good. Some parts of the room are slightly worn down.
