Happy Dragon Imperial Garden Courtyard Beijing Forbidden City Newly renovated Fluent English speaking

My family and I had the absolute best stay in Happy Dragon Imperial Garden Courtyard Beijing for the duration of our first time in Beijing. All of the staff were very friendly, polite, easy to communicate with in English and extremely helpful especially Lily, Cici, Julie and Dennis. They helped us with all our needs during our stay including tours and directions for the sights we wanted to visit as well as advice on how to get around. We had an incident leaving the property after checking out where the car we ordered had a rude driver with not enough room for our bags as advertised on our app. Julie and Dennis were extremely helpful in communicating with the driver, ordering us a new taxi right away and making sure it was appropriate for us and sending us off. Looking forward to our next visit at this accomodation.

The property was a bit far from a train station if walking with luggage but definitely doable. However we were so happy with the service, we would happily chose to stay here again on our next visit to Beijing.

Buena ubicación, se encuentra en un Hutong que es bonito de ver tambien. El personal del hotel muy amable y atento. El hotel en si muy bonito y tranquilo. El buffet esta tambien muy bien, tiene un poco de todo y de buena calidad. Sin duda lo recomendamos y volveriamos!

The staff were exceptional, from communicating with me before we arrived to helping with anything we needed. They carried our bags, got us drinks, booked restaurants for us. They were also so friendly and happy - it made our stay very special. The rooms were spotless, beds so comfortable and good selection at breakfast. There was an amazing laundry service too. It was also close to or easy to get to all the main attractions.

È stato un soggiorno a dir poco perfetto quello che abbiamo passato io e mia madre in questo splendido hotel situato nel cuore dell'hutong Yanyue. Lo staff dell'hotel è gentilissimo e professionale. Cercheranno di aiutarvi in ogni modo possibile parlando un ottimo inglese. Ci hanno anche offerto una seduta di cerimonia del te e scrittura a inchiostro tenute entrambe in una location meravigliosa. Grazie ragazze! È stata una vacanza di cui non ci dimenticheremo mai!

Me gustó mucho el hotel, está muy limpio, el desayuno es muy bueno, hay mucha variedad de desayuno, te lavan la ropa gratis, etc etc y ya no hablo de las personas que trabajan en ese hotel, todos son estupendos y te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas.

Nada, es realmente fabuloso, bueno si una cosa, cojer tarjeta hotel porque si no los taxis o didis, no lo encuentran. Es muy nuevo ese hotel y a lo mejor aún no lo reconocen. Eso va cambiar enseguida. Pero bueno con la tarjeta hotel ya no hay ningún problema. Todo solucionado

El trato del personal. Llegamos muy pronto y nos invitaron a desayunar. Tiene servicio de lavanderia gratuito. Hotel muy tranquilo en una zona muy tranquila.

From the first day, we were welcomed witb staff who had helped bring our luggage in. As we could not check in yet, the staff mentioned we were allowed to use the public shower room and store our luggage The staff are very responsive on whatsap and also helped with any requests we had. They also had a free breakfast and laundry service which we used everyday.

The only downside was the hotel being situated in the middle of a village of which the road was super narrow so when the taxis tried to drop us off it was longer. Recommend for anyone staying to order taxis at the end of the road not from the hotel

Los coches no quieren entrar hasta la puerta.

Characterful, Clean & Comfortable & Great location (although we’d have totally missed it, if it hadn’t been recommended to us). Very friendly staff, who were all really happy to help with any & all questions! Alan in the adjoining bar deserves a mention for his friendly service & entertainment! 🙂

Here, "welcome back home" are NOT just empty words. It is particularly worth mentioning the small garden gathering the staff organised, where the guests can have a bite/sip of Chinese pastries/tea and a touch of Chinese culture.

Galère juste à notre arrivée en Chine : la chambre pour 4 personnes réservée sur Booking se révèle inadaptée pour 4 personnes. Aucune aide de Booking via téléphone, chat ou e-mail. Même plusieurs jours après, pas de retour de Booking pour aider. Après pas mal d’attente à l’hôtel, ils nous propose une solution sans supplément. Malheureusement la chambre est assez atypique (un logement pour les employés ?) avec peu de lumière et une très forte odeur de cigarette.

También nos lavaron la ropa. Y el precio muy bueno. No se puede pedir más.

Os funcionários da recepção, a simpatia e serviços extra incluídos na diária, como ex a lavagem de roupa. Fizemos um early check in e inclusive ofereceram o pequeno almoço nessa manhã (incluído mas só na manhã seguinte) e assim como local para guardar as malas até ao Checkin no quarto ao final da tarde. Fizeram um upgrade ao quarto maior bem como ainda ofereceram uns autocolantes e pulseiras anti mosquito! Uns queridos!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The hotel facilities, location, and cleanliness were all excellent. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. Struttura fantastica in uno degli Hutong di Pechino, molto suggestivo. Spazi comuni bene curati e nuovi. Camera eccezionale grande, pulita e dotata di ogni comfort. Colazione strepitosa con molte scelte sia salate che dolci e ciliegina sulla torta uno staff eccezionale cordiale, gentile accogliente, pronto a suggerirti la migliore soluzione per qualsiasi necessità. I really loved staying at Happy Dragon and I’m definitely coming back soon. Everything was just perfect! The breakfast was nice, the room was comfortable and clean, and the location right in the middle of the Hutongs was fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating, especially Alan, the bartender. The bar is a great place to relax and have a drink after a long day of exploring Beijing. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

At first, it’s a little tricky to find the hotel, but once you arrive, you discover a true oasis in the heart of Beijing. The atmosphere is beautiful and charming, and the hotel offers a wonderful escape from the busy city. The service was outstanding, and the entire team was extremely friendly, attentive and always willing to help. We would especially like to mention Denis and Julie, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We also really enjoyed the hotel bar, where Alan provided exceptionally good and attentive service. One small addition that would make the experience even more perfect would be a small cocktail menu at the bar. We had a wonderful experience and can highly recommend the Happy Dragon Imperial Garden Courtyard Beijing without hesitation. We would definitely stay here again!

la habitación para 4 personas muy grande, en 2 alturas y con terraza privada. Camas muy cómodas. Lili y Cici de recepción muy amables, nos ayudaron desde el 1er momento con reservas y con cualquier duda. Hablan muy bien inglés. El hotel está en un houtong, y el jardin es muy bonito.

lo único que nos gustó poco fue el desayuno. Que queda compensado con la atención recibida de 10.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The staff are incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — they even helped us order takeaway food! We also really enjoyed the new bar, where we were kindly offered some beers. Everything went perfectly, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first experience in Beijing — and in China as well! One of the most thoughtful gestures was that, as we were leaving the hotel at 5am to visit the Great Wall of China, before breakfast time, the staff prepared a breakfast box for us to take with us — without us even asking! This really shows how much they care about their guests. A special thank you to SingSing, Lily, and Cici for being so kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. We truly appreciated everything you did for us and will remember this experience fondly. We would happily stay here again!

Colazione da migliorare e supporto della reception anche, parlano inglese ma non tutti capiscono e in quel caso meglio il traduttore che provare a comunicare in inglese ma non capirsi reciprocamente. Inoltre non vale il prezzo.

El lugar es precioso tiene un patio con carpas en estilo japonés. Coco nos asistió perfectamente muy simpática y un inglés perfecto. Muy amables todo y buen servicio de desayuno. Habitación amplias con water estilo japonés y proyector en la habitación. Todo muy tecnológico. Estancia de dos días perfecta. Déjate aconsejar en la recepción te ayudarán en todo y hablan inglés!

Genialna lokalizacja w historycznej lokalizacji Pekinu. Mega klimatyczne otoczenie cicho zielono I wszędzie blisko. Dodatkowo pobytu umila niesamowity personel obiektu który dokłada wszelkich starań żeby pobyt był wyjątkowy. Naprawdę obsługa obiektu wyróżnia się na ogromny plus. Pokoje są dość przestronne a łazienki bardzo ładne. Piękny ogród wewnętrzny. Smaczne śniadania.

Nie to że nie podobało ale dojazd taksówką do obiektu może być powolny bo jest wąską uliczką.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel dal 24 al 30 agosto 2026 per l'ultima tappa del nostro fantastico viaggio ed è stato un soggiorno davvero eccezionale. La struttura è meravigliosa, situata in un caratteristico hutong, con un incantevole cortile interno dotato di un laghetto con splendide carpe, perfetto per rilassarsi in qualsiasi momento della giornata. Le camere sono spaziose, moderne e dotate di ogni comfort, e la colazione servita in struttura è ricca, abbondante e di qualità. Lo staff è stato semplicemente straordinario: parla un inglese fluido, ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa ed è rimasto sempre raggiungibile su WeChat H24 per qualsiasi esigenza. Ammetto che siamo stati ospiti parecchio "impegnativi", avendo modificato più volte i nostri programmi all'ultimo minuto. Nonostante le nostre richieste effettuate la sera tardi per il mattino seguente — come l'organizzazione di un autista privato o la preparazione della colazione al sacco per le escursioni mattutine (servizio comodissimo che offrono volentieri) — ci hanno sempre aiutato con il sorriso, risolvendo ogni necessità con una disponibilità disarmante. Li ringraziamo davvero dal profondo del cuore! Un enorme apprezzamento va anche al servizio di lavanderia gratuito gestito direttamente dallo staff, che lava, asciuga e restituisce i panni permettendo di godersi la vacanza senza alcuna preoccupazione.

Assolutamente nulla! È stato il finale perfetto per il nostro viaggio. Consigliamo solo ai futuri ospiti di avvisare lo staff con un po' di anticipo se si desidera la colazione al sacco o se si hanno altre richieste particolari, così da agevolare il loro splendido lavoro.

Un hotelito con encanto en un hutong muy bien ubicado.

El staff en general me parece que es el activo más importante del hotel. Y entre ellos, la muy amable Felix se destaca como la persona más atenta y cordial de todos los staff de todos los hoteles que visitamos en diferentes ciudades en China. Ella dá su 110% para que los huéspedes estén bien y solucionen los problemas (ajenos al hotel) que se puedan presentar. Felix es la cara de China que guardamos como recuerdo. El desayuno está muy bien, variado, caliente y sabroso. La ubicación es buena, de fácil acceso tanto a pie como en Didi. El tamaño de las habitaciones está muy bien, tuvimos una de dos niveles para mi familia de cuatro personas.

Todo estuvo muy bien.

La atención, ubicación y estado de las habitaciones excelente. Especial atención a Lili, Cici y resto personal No estaba la habitación preparada y nos facilitaron una mejor. Las bebidas del minibar gratuitas. Lavandería gratuita (sin plancha) y todas las noches nos ofrecían unas cervezas gratuitas en el bar. 100% recomendable.

Non capiscono molto bene inglese

La struttura si trova in una posizione fantastica, in un hutong molto vicino alla città proibita e ai principali punti da visitare, in una zona dove facendo pochi passi a piedi, si può già vivere la tipica atmosfera di Beijing a qualunque ora. Appena entrati non potrete non rimanere incantati dalla bellezza del giardino curatissimo che nasconde un laghetto con le classiche carpe koi; ma le stanze vi stupiranno. Sono davvero fantastiche, accoglienti, pulitissime, complete di ogni comfort. Il personale è sempre attento a fare in modo che l’ospite si senta meglio che a casa propria. Se poi, come noi, avrete la fortuna di incontrare in reception Lili e Felix, con la loro estrema gentilezza e i loro sorrisi, posso garantirvi che Beijing vi resterà nel cuore per sempre. Perché le città hanno l’anima delle persone che ci vivono, e Beijing è meravigliosa! Fidatevi, prenotate qua!

We moesten eerst even zoeken om het hotel te vinden in de traditionele hutong. Niet alle taxi chauffeurs zijn even bereid om de straat in te rijden. Maar toen we het eenmaal hadden gevonden en door de poort liepen, leek het alsof ik in een andere wereld stapte. Prachtig hotel met veel Chinees design. De locatie was zeer centraal en makkelijk om overal heen te gaan met Didi. Kamers zijn ruim, modern, schoon en de bedden slapen zeer goed. Simpele maar fijne gym aanwezig. Heel groot pluspunt is de gratis laundryservice. Zij wassen en drogen voor je dus je hoeft niet in het hotel te blijven wachten tot je was klaar is. Ontbijt is prima en compleet. Al het personeel was het hoogtepunt van mijn vakantie. Zij waren zo vriendelijk, aardig en behulpzaam, niks was te gek. Zij hielpen mij met eten bestellen, afspraak maken bij de kapper, restaurant aanbevelingen en tips over bezienswaardigheden. Lili, Cici, Lumi, Dennis, jullie werken mega hard om iedereen een fantastische tijd te geven en mijn vakantie is er ook echt beter door geworden. Leuke bar aanwezig waar je tot laat een fijn gesprek kan aangaan met Alan de barman!

Dat ik niet meer terug naar huis wilde.

El hotel es precioso, con una decoración tradicional increible, habitación muy amplias y cómodas. El personal del hotel es súper amable y muy atento. Te orientan y ayudan a organizar tus visitas, te reservan entradas, te aconsejan, etc. La ubicación es excepcional, puedes ir andando a la Ciudad Prohibida, estás a 8 minutos de la linea 2 que es la que más utilizas para visitar la ciudad, y también puedes ir andando al punto de recogida donde salen casi todos los autocares de los tours organizados.

The hotel is in a great location in a historic alley of Beijing. It is in walking distance from major sights like the forbidden city. The hotel is built around a courtyard with a goldfish pond which creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It is a quiet place with very friendly and helpful staff. It is a perfect place to explore Beijing. The rooms are nicely designed, comfortable and clean.

Uma estadia excelente, sobretudo graças à equipa O hotel tem muito carácter, instalado num hutong tradicional de Pequim, mas próximo de zonas animadas com restaurantes, lojas e bons acessos às principais atrações. É uma forma muito agradável de sentir um lado mais tradicional da cidade. Mas o grande destaque foi, sem dúvida, a equipa, especialmente a Cici, Lili e a Julie, que fizeram toda a diferença. Antes mesmo de chegarmos, ajudaram-nos a resolver sem qualquer problema uma noite que tínhamos cancelado por engano devido a uma alteração nos bilhetes de comboio. Quando finalmente chegámos, depois de uma cansativa viagem de 12 horas, ainda antes da hora normal de check-in, disponibilizaram-nos imediatamente o quarto, permitindo-nos descansar e tomar banho antes de aproveitarmos o nosso primeiro dia em Pequim. Também nos ajudaram de forma extraordinária a conseguir uma reserva num restaurante muito procurado de pato à Pequim, acompanhando a fila durante horas para que chegássemos praticamente na altura certa. E, no último dia, depois do check-out, guardaram as nossas malas e permitiram-nos ainda tomar um duche antes do voo noturno. Depois de 18 dias na China e sete hotéis, foi aqui que encontrámos o staff mais prestável e atencioso — e também uma das equipas com melhor inglês de toda a viagem. La ubicación da bastantes problemas si vas en transporte privado(taxi, grab), ya que está en un callejón un poco escondido, la calidad del buffet tiene que mejorar.

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral in einer kleinen Seitenstraße. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Restaurants. Die Hotelanlage ist ruhig und sauber. Das Beste ist das außergewöhnlich sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Die Zimmer sind schön und modern ausgestattet.

Hotel muito bonito, novo e bem decorado. Café da manhã muito bom e staff excelente. Destaque para o Dennis, que nos recebeu muito bem e deu diversas dicas. Eles tem lavanderia gratuita, o qua ajuda muito em uma viagem longa.

Simple yet very nice

Not much, maybe it's a little bit far from the main street where taxis come but they have this nice tuktuk that is helpful so 'lt really a big deal.

- The staff was very helpful and available -- shoutout to Lily and Joy who really went out of their way to help us anytime we had a question - Location in the hutongs was a great experience: very authentic and central - Breakfast -- good quality (one of the best fried noodles we had) - Very fast and free laundry service

- Room for the breakfast was a bit small and dark - Lack of space and no storage for clothes / luggages in the room - We didn't figure out how to properly use the toilets -- it kept flushing at any movement

Расположен в пешей доступности от Центральной площади и Запретного города. Популярные рестораны находятся не далеко. Персонал выше всех похвал. Так же фишкой является возможность организовать для вас экскурсию на Великую стену. Помощь с вызовом такси и тд. Из отеля нам организовали такси до аэропорта Дасин за 200ю. Тогда как до отеля из аэропорта с нас содрал таксист 700 ю. Отель я рекомендую. Все понравилось. На территории прекрасный пруд с карпами Кои, можно покормить рыб.

A fantastic place, very quiet and new, with a relaxing garden. It’s situated in a very typical location and very central. The staff was wonderful.

Beautiful, modernised yet traditional-style courtyard hotel in the middle of the hutong, within 10-15 minutes walk to two metro stations: Chaoyangmen on Line 6 and Dengshikou on Line 5. Beautifully restored, air conditioned, with miod lighting and delicious buffet breakfast served 7-10am and extremely helpful, young staff speaking excellent English. There is also free laudry service, with the dried washing ready for pickup the following day. And a koi carp pond. Our room, booked for 3 people (myself and my two grown-up daughters) had two floors, with a massive double bed on each floor. It also had a mini bar with some free fizzy drinks, a kettle and a tea set. Very fancy bathroom, with the toilet, two-sink area and shower all separated from each other. The toilet was one of those fancy high-tech toilet/bidet ones which means all the toilet paper needs to be thrown in the bin rather than down the toilet - which is not a problem if you use the bidet wash function. The hutong itself is probably not where you'd expect such a fancy hotel to be situated - it looks quite messy and run down on the outside - but let it not discourage you. Opening the hotel gate is like stepping into a different, magical world.

I didn't exactly not like it, but found it strange that there was no wardrobe in the room. But it seems quite standard in Chinese hotels, so prepare yourself for living out of the suitcase. We didn't mind.

Beautifully decorated, calm and fully met my expectations. Small pond with fish is really nice and relaxing after long day walking. Special thanks from my smallest one, he enjoyed a possibility to feed the fish. For sure recommended. Stayed there with a family, two adults and two kids, space was enough for everyone. Nice and calm place in the middle of city.

El personal muy atento con un inglés muy bueno!! El hotel en sí, muy acogedor, limpio y bonito. Nos guardaron las maletas hasta las 11 pm y hasta nos ofrecieron ducharnos antes del vuelo.
