It was a quiet location, we didn’t have breakfast but had an evening meal on our second evening. The food was tasty and plentiful. Good value for money too

The shower head too heavy and kept bending down towards the wall not into the cubicle. I didn’t complain about it so couldn’t expect the owners to rectify it.

Friendly staff, good location and on-site parking. Food was good.

Shower wasn’t very powerful. Furniture could benefit from some updating.

The food was head and shoulders above most places, the menu may read as bar food, but some dishes were exceptional, the pork medallions with apple dumpling was something great.

The sraff were welcoming and friendly. The location is convenient for the M4 and so peaceful in countryside just outside a small village. Modern, clean comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent and like the accomodation very good value.

L'ambiente tranquillo e tradizionale inglese, le camere da letto accoglienti.la cordialità del proprietario e della ragazza al bancone.

Posizione comodissima a chi come noi è difficile passaggio per visitare le zone circostanti. Personale gentilissimo, disponibile. Non parliamo inglese ma si sono prodigati per farci sentire a nostro agio. Cena al pub ottima e abbondante. Possibilità di fare colazione.

The host was friendly, the room was clean and cosy and the food was great.

Pub bellissimo, immerso nel verde, a pochi km da Swindon e a 1 ora circa dalle mete che volevamo visitare (Stonhenge, Bath). Camera grande, ben oltre quello che ci aspettavamo, pulita e moderna. Il pub al piano inferiore tipicamente British. Il giorno in cui siamo arrivati c'era un matrimonio, prontamente segnalato in anticipo dal proprietario... È stato molto divertente 😊 e soprattutto sono stati estremamente rispettosi dell'orario di fine evento (persino in anticipo rispetto a quanto ci aveva detto il proprietario). Al nostro arrivo ci ha accolto la signora (credo sia una delle proprietarie), che ci ha addirittura dato subito la camera, anche se siamo arrivati prima del check in e volevamo solo lasciare le valigie. Abbiamo poi anche conosciuto la simpaticissima signora delle pulizie... carinissima! Ci hanno subito messo a nostro agio! Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione perché avevamo orari stretti, ma la domenica ci siamo concessi il sunday roast e che dire... BUONISSIMO! Ce ne siamo andati a malincuore 💖 se mai dovessimo tornare nelle cotswolds, sicuramente lo terremo di nuovo in considerazione!

Da migliorare solo il materasso del letto, un po' troppo morbido. Ma se proprio devo guardare il pelo nell'uovo, perché era davvero tutto perfetto!

Really lovely, friendly staff and the food was absolutely delicious. The room was comfortable enough, although the TV was too small to make any real use of. The room was generally clean and the building and surroundings are beautiful.

Unfortunately my partner is scared of spiders and there were quite a few on the ceiling, which meant I was running around with a cup catching them for a while. It didnt detract from the stay overall but did take a little time to take care of when we first arrived.

I když jsme hotel trochu hledali dle navigace, tak na nás majitel počkal i po 22 hodině a byl velmi přátelský. I při otevřených oknech byl pokoj velmi tichý.

Bylo by dobré napsat adresu ubytování tak, aby ji navigace v autě napoprvé dobře našla.

Posizione ottima per visitare le Cotswold, parcheggio gratuito in loco. La nostra stanza era al piano terra con uscita su un piccolo giardino che ci ha regalato ogni mattina l'incontro con scoiattoli e uccellini che venivano a cibarsi davanti alla nostra finestra. La stanza era ampia con letto matrimoniale, lettino singolo per nostro figlio e poltrona; sebbene ci fosse la moquette questa era pulita e ben tenuta. Bagno discretamente spazioso e pulito, doccia calda e comoda. Era presente l'essenziale per la colazione. La sera del nostro arrivo abbiamo cenato nel pub, tutto è stato molto buono (soprattutto la zuppa del giorno) e abbondante. Abbiamo anche scelto di farci una colazione dolce (a pagamento) ed è stata molto buona. L'host che ci ha serviti ogni mattina è stato davvero gentile.

Consiglierei di mettere in stanza un piccolo frigorifero e dotare il bagno di prese per poter utilizzare il phon davanti allo specchio. Abbiamo lasciato gli asciugamani nel lavandino per farli cambiare ma ciò non è successo; credo che la pulizia giornaliera fosse piuttosto sommaria, a noi si limitavano a ritirare su le coperte, il bagno non è mai stato pulito durante il nostro soggiorno ma ciò non ci ha creato disagio

Very comfortable and peaceful place to stay. Although we stayed on Sunday night when the bar and restaurant was closed, we were made very comfortable by the owner who is a great host and very helpful. Highly recommended.

The young man who checked us in was very welcoming,chatty and friendly.

We stayed in room 3. The door handle was loose on the door, there was no lock on the bathroom door and when we flushed the toilet it felt like the toilet was going to come off the wall.

Basic facilities. Bit of a strange smell in the room, could have been due to the hot weather. Loose toilet seat. Relatively small double bed. Quality of shower and furniture could be better. Couldn‘t find WiFi code in the room.

It was good for a one night stay.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the hotel. Staff are friendly,it has beautiful surroundings and food is great. We stayed here as we were racing, the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had breakfast at 3:30am so we could leave in time to race 😀. We will return in the future!

Very clean and near where we wanted to be.

We got back one night just after 9pm , door to bar was open but no one about, waited for half an hour to get a drink at the bar but no one came, even tried ringing their phone number. They had shut bar early and there was no sign or anything on bar but it says outside open until 11pm.

Convenient location with parking. The food was outstanding and service was lovely- very helpful.

Wasn’t really there long enough to form a comprehensive opinion but was content with service & accommodation for that 1 night.

Das Frühstück war gut. Das Hotel ist doch etwas abgelegen und ohne Auto wäre man verloren. Für ein paar Tage ist es eine ausreichend gute Unterkunft - für längere Zeit doch eher ungeeignet.

Die Ausstattung des Bades war nicht ausreichend. Ein Haartrockner gehört heutzutage einfach zum Standard.

A lovely peaceful overnight stay. Very good value with friendly staff and a pretty, quiet location near to Avebury (for visiting Stone Circles). Would definitely recommend to other families travelling with children.

Muy buen desayuno, café, tostadas, huevos revueltos recién hechos todos las mañanas. Buena ubicación para conocer los Cotswolds.

La habitación era amplia pero el baño un poco justo, no había mucho lugar donde colocar las cosas, pero a pesar de eso está más que correcto para pasar unos cuantos días.

The pub/restaurant was cosy, the onsite parking was convenient, the food (dinner and breakfast) and drink were good. The staff were friendly and capable. The room was well laid out, bright, and had good storage.

The walls between the rooms were thin enough to hear even low conversation of neighbouring guests.

When booked showed it had a bar and restaurant, however, on my day of arrival I was informed by text earlier in the day both would be closed! Not good considering I had booked with this facility expected. I was offered breakfast but didn’t require this due to the early start I would have. Room was comfortable but shower poor, shower head did not stay in position and water pressure extremely poor, shower doors did not close properly. Desk top very sticky as though cleaned with a dirty cloth.

Friendly, amenable staff. I needed to work all day after giving up my room in the morning. The staff found me a side room and let me work on my own all day. The bed was really comfy and the hotel was very quiet all night. Good shower and very rural, peaceful setting.

The hotel was perfect for our stay. Comfortable, quiet and clean. Wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Ironing board and iron, if needed and hair dryer. Bed very comfy. Perfect.

There wasn't anything we didn't like

The location was very pleasant. Nice and quiet, close by to villages and within easy reach of West Swindon and Swindon town. A cooked breakfast was available but we chose to partake in what had been laid out - a varied selection of cereals, muesli, yogurts, pain au chocolat, orange juice and a nice bowl of fresh fruit and of course tea and coffee. We were also given a good plateful of thick buttered toast. Very nice.

Shower head wouldn’t fit in the holder which made it awkward to shower. Hinge on toilet seat broken. Room was cold when we arrived.

We had a great night for 23 of us for a Xmas meal - and a number of us stayed the night and had an equally excellent Full English in the morning

There is only a small area to sit after the meal and no real bar area - they make good use of all the space with tables for diners, but it would have been better for our needs if there was a bar area
