Grand Galata Hotel & Spa

The room was excellent with a wonderful view. Daily cleaning. Breakfast was really nice and tasty, with variety of food. The staff were smiling, polite, and eager to help. Emre, Veysel, and Bursa (I hope I am writing her name correctly) were fantastic. Also, Burcu helped us tremendously from the very beginning of the booking with everything we needed. The spa was perfect! If you ever find yourself there, you must try the Turkish bath! A unique experience. Uti, the therapist, was exceptional at her job and extremely polite!

The food at the restaurant was nice, but only Turkish cuisine. They could perhaps explain what each dish includes for those unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine! Also, the airport transfer to and from the hotel could be priced a bit better.

We love this hotel! The rooftop restaurant has breathtaking views of the city and we arrived at sunset, got a window table and had a delicious Turkish meal to start our stay. We ate there again and food was exceptional both times. Breakfast is in the same restaurant. Staff are great – special thanks to Ozge, Hilal, Huseyin and Veyser 😁. The spa with pool is lovely and the room was a good standard and well equipped. We hope to return soon!

Te hacen firmar que no se hacen cargo de si te roban. Luego en la entrada tienen bebidas de bienvenida o mientras esperas en recepción con bichos. En el baño no hay pasta de dientes o cepillo , simplemente un gorro de baño.La habitación tampoco concordaba con lo que se veía en las imagen que pagué .

От лица всех туристов и особенно командировочных хочу сказать огромное спасибо за то, что душ включается одной кнопкой в стене, температура воды регулируется поворотом рычага. Это идеально. Насколько же утомительно бывает угадывать, из какой точки и когда на тебя польется ледяная вода)). И в остальном - хороший отель. Приехала между рейсами на 10 часов, переночевать. Номер уровня почти 5 звезд - сумели на 18 кв.м. расположить все, включая 2 вместительных шкафа. Есть полное наполнение всем необходимым, кроме халатов, но в 4 звездах они не всегда бывают. Чайник, кофемашина, тапочки, сейф, холодильник, кондиционер, батарея, полный комплект необходимого в ванной. Ремонт недорогой, но действительно очень чисто, практически стерильно. Завтра в целом ок, хотя и удивило отсутствие хумуса. Персонал на 4 - смена заезда была прекрасной. При выезде остались вопросы...

Отзывы восхитительные, но в целом это обычный чистый отель. Вид из номера, грустный, хотя мне было не важно. Окна выходят на дорогу - шумно. Номер хороший, но какой - то обезличенный, хоть каплю колорита можно добавить. Больше всего вопросов к трансферу. Отель его предлагает, но своей машины у отеля нет. Это система трансферов в Стамбуле. Отель делает заказ, при приземлении вам пишут на ватсап непонятные люди, потом вас встречает сотрудник в аэропорту, вы ждете , какая из машин вас заберет первой. Ждете в зоне, где все курят. Потом идете на -1 этаж, там опять ждете. Потом едете в прокуренном мини-вэне с замученным водителем. Назад та же история. В итоге оба раза я села в машину на полчаса позже обозначенного времени. С учетом толп в аэропорту на вылете - учитывайте это. Если вы без большой семьи и 5 чемоданов - лучше взять такси. Примерно та же цена, головной боли меньше.

Our stay was good the location is near most of the places we wanted to go to and the staff was friendly Sena, Huseyin and Veysel

How it’s possible 4-star rated hotel to offer rooms without windows, without terrace and without fresh air? Except location, the feeling after our visit was miserable.

The location is excellent: quiet and peaceful, yet centrally located and within a possible walking distance (or a short tram ride) of all the major historical attractions. At the same time, it is away from the busiest tourist areas, making it an ideal place to stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and professional throughout my stay. Special thanks to the reception team for their flexibility, customer-oriented approach, and willingness to accommodate guests' needs. The rooftop restaurant serves an excellent breakfast, while the dinners are equally outstanding. The experience is enhanced by spectacular views of the Bosphorus and Istanbul's iconic landmarks, including Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

There was virtually nothing I did not like about this hotel. I would gladly stay here again.

L'hôtel est vraiment bien. L'accueil est de qualité, les chambres sont propres et belles. L'hôtel correspond au standing d'un 4 étoiles. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et la vue du restaurant est magnifique. L'hôtel est dans le centre mais pas dans le marasme de Taksim. La proximité avec Karakoy est un plus !

Des travaux pendant le petit-déjeuner (même si j'imagine que c'est ponctuel). Il y a également de la musique relativement tôt dans les couloirs que l'on peut entendre de la chambre.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen, das Frühstück war sehr lecker, alles war sehr sauber. Der Blick auf das Goldene Horn und die Altstadt war grandios und das Personal, vor allem Ismail, Kital, Emre und Veysel, war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

El hotel cuenta con sauna y una piscina temperada de libre acceso para relajarse después de un día agotador de paseo. Como cortesía también dejaban una botella de agua individual para cada huesped

We stayed six nights at the Grand Galata. The hotel was well-located for our exploration of Istanbul: off the tourist path, an easy walk to the old city and great access to the restaurants and nightlife in Galata. We booked a room without windows, as it was the only one available. Although we were initially hesitant to book it, the room was perfectly comfortable. The hotel was well furnished. The rooftop breakfast was a highlight of our stay. Panoramic views across the Goldenhorn into the old city. Ample fresh food. As the morning heats up, they lower the windows to allow a breeze to flow through.

Not a complaint, but the hallways are a bit narrow. Someone with mobility impairments might find aspects of this hotel challenging.

Slightly on the expensive side for the area. We choose to pay more because the hotel had a SPA. However, the SPA was disappointing because the pool and jacuzzi were cold. Apparently, this was intentional but it's not what I would expect from a Hotel Spa. The steam room and sauna were also not very warm. As a result, we tried it out once and didn't use the SPA again, which was a shame.

The Location is is close to galata tower and also the Karakoy tram for tourist spots and transportation.. The hotel is a bit further down along the street more in a business district the area felt safe but had Graffiti on some one the buildings

Breakfast with the view alone is worth the stay. Staff are excellent and professional. We enjoyed the swim and sauna every evening.

Un grand merci à Hülya, Sena et Yağız, qui se sont très bien occupés de nous. Ils ont été accueillants, serviables et toujours disponibles. Un personnel vraiment agréable ! Malgré cela, je recommande cet hôtel et j’y retournerais avec plaisir. 😊

Le seul petit inconvénient est l’insonorisation : on entend assez facilement les bruits provenant des couloirs ainsi que l’ascenseur, ce qui peut être un peu gênant, surtout la nuit.

Het ontbijtbuffet was fenomenaal! Elke dag een uitgebreid en afwisselend assortiment van heerlijke salades, broodjes, smeerseltjes, olijven, kaas, etc.. het uitzicht vanuit het restaurant is fantastisch.

De kamer werd overdag extreem heet en de airconditioning was niet krachtig genoeg om de kamerheer aangenaam te krijgen.

The staff, without question. Every single person I encountered was warm, attentive and genuinely helpful. The standout moment was when I mentioned I had postcards to send and was short on time before my flight and they offered to post them for me without hesitation. That kind of thoughtfulness isn’t something you can train into a team, it’s just who they are. The rooms were comfortable and the location excellent, but it was the people who made the stay. I had written down everyone’s names to thank them properly and have since lost the card, so I’d like this to stand as a commendation to the entire team.

The hotel is located near the city centre, within walking distance of the Old Town and Taksim Square. We requested two rooms next to each other, and the hotel had the best solution I have ever seen: corner rooms with an extra outside door, creating a private entrance for the two rooms and making them feel like a separate apartment. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was very good, with an exceptional view over the Old Town.

Great location and staff were very polite and accommodating. Location near the tower and Metro made getting around easy, although walking all of Istanbul is close.

Gym facility small and cramped. But has some free weights for lifting. No room for yoga or stretching.

I chose this hotel for an overnight stay between my flights, as I wanted somewhere comfortable to rest while still being centrally located so I could take a walk and enjoy the area. Everything was great. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming. I had a very pleasant stay.

The location, very close to Galata Tower, close to Karakoy, easy to get the transportation. Breakfast room at room top with wonderful 180 degree view of the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia, and the old town. A special thanks to madam Serife, the room was clean and well managed. Also special thanks to: Ozge, for her smile before the breakfast, and the whole staff desk.

Staff with little English fluency; swimming pool so small that it’s difficult swimming , therefore more adapt to relax, but for relaxing the water was cold.

I had a very pleasant stay at Grand Galata. Staff were extremely helpful with whatever I needed throughout my stay. Room was nice and comfortable with good facilities. Another great bonus was the spa and sauna facilities which I had full access to. Upon checking out I was assisted by Serkan (and some other lovely people at the front desk whose names I can’t remember!) who helped me plan my onward journey, even helping me to exchange money. Overall a great option if you’re looking for a hotel in a good location (walking distance to Galata tower and good transport links nearby) with a luxury feel.

El hotel era espectacular. Ubicado el pleno barrio de Galata, hemos podido visitar toda la parte europea de Estambul sin coger transporte público. El hotel cuenta con maravillosas instalaciones como la piscina, el gimnasio, baño turco… donde poder relajarte después de un gran día visitando su mágica ciudad. La habitación la limpiaban y arreglaban todos los días, algo que agradecemos. El restaurante del hotel en su última planta cuenta con unas vistas espectaculares de Estambul, y además la comida, de la mejor de la ciudad. El trato del personal fue inmejorable, muy contentos.

Nagyon kedves a személyzet, gyönyörű a kilátás a városra a hotel rooftop étterméből, ahol a reggeliztetés is zajlik. Bőséges és finom volt a reggeli óriási választékkal. Nagyon jó az elhelyezkedése, talán nem annyira forgalmas, mint a Sultanahmet környéke, de könnyen elérhető innen minden nevezetesség.

L'hotel mérite ses 5 étoiles : un service net qui offre tout le confort tout en traitant le client en Vip mais avec une légère note de chaleur et de sympathie. Ce qu'on note en premier lieu, c'est la réactivité du personnel, de tous les membres du personnel, pour la satisfaction, avec l'efficacité, le professionnalisme et le sourire, de la moindre demande du client. Ensuite c'est la qualité, l'agencement et l'élégance des chambres, dans le moindre détail: literie haut de gamme, salle de bains offrant un confort absolu pour le client, ... Sans oublier le petit déjeuner: proportions de la salle, luminosité, vue sur les monuments de Sultanahmet, variété et qualité des plats et des produits offerts, personnel aux petits soins. Enfin le Spa tout à fait en harmonie avec les qualités de l'hôtel.

A l'arrivée, on est un surpris par la modestie, toute relative, des dimensions du hall d'accueil.

Spotless rooms, look like brand new. Awesome view of the City from our room and the breakfast at the rooftop. Great massages and sauna at the spa after long walks. Fabulous Turkish breakfast. Location walking distance to most sights. All staff was amazing, answered all out requests very fast and were super friendly

Spa closes at 10. I suggest keeping it open for another hour or two.

We had an amazing stay at Grand Galata Hotel & Spa. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Galata Tower, Karaköy, and Istiklal Street, making it easy to explore Istanbul. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. What truly made our stay exceptional was the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A wonderful hotel with great service, an excellent location, and outstanding value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

I had a nice stay at Grand Galata Hotel. The hotel was very clean and had modern furniture. The location is excellent 👍🏻. It is near the Galata Tower. The breakfast is also excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Hilal, Elif, Sabri, and Yağiz. They were always willing to help us. I’d also like to extend my thanks to the hotel manager for letting us keep our luggage at the hotel for a week while we traveled to another city. Everyone at the hotel has a smile and is always happy to help. The housekeeper is also kind and happy to assist. I’d definitely recommend staying at this hotel and would love to come back again when I’m in Istanbul.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent - it's on a quiet street, yet just a few minutes' walk from many of Istanbul's most popular attractions. Our room was spacious (for EU standards), well laid out, spotless, and very comfortable. A special thank you to Hulya, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the staff were always professional, friendly, and happy to help. We would also like to thank Ozge from Guest Relations for her warm hospitality and genuine care throughout our stay. The reception team and bell staff were outstanding as well. Hilal was wonderful, and a special thanks to the bellboy who helped us with our luggage and even assisted us in weighing it before our flight. What stood out the most was that everyone was genuinely hospitable - you never got the feeling they were being nice just for tips. Their kindness felt sincere, and it made a real difference to our experience. Compliments to the management for building such an exceptional team. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The location, the view from our room, the facilities, and the included breakfast were all fantastic. Everything exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend booking the massage and Turkish bath package in the spa. It was the perfect way to end our stay.

The breakfast was extensive, the city view was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the cleanliness was of a good standard, although the swimming pool was a bit dirty.

The staff smoking and talking loudly right below our window was unpleasant.

The location is perfect, very close to the Sishane M2 train station, Galata tower is in a walking distance, also Karakoy T2. The view from my room and the restaurant is panoramic to the golden horn. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated. The spa facilities are very good.

I booked a room with a view to the sea, I was surprised when I was given another facing the city and the sea can only be seen partially. I had to go back to the reception to complain and only then I got the right room.

Wir waren Ende Juli 2026 für 4 Nächte im Hotel. Die Lage ist ideal. In ca. 10' zu Fuss ist man bei der Tramstation T1. Mit der T1 ist man in ca. 10' bei den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein grosses Dankeschön an Elif, Ismail und Özkan. Zudem ist der Service wirklich super. Wir hatten nach zusätzlichen Handtüchern gefragt. Nach ca. 5' hatten wir diese bereits in unserem Zimmer =) Wir haben zweimal im eigenen Restaurant gegessen, es war köstlich. Zudem ist die Aussicht wunderschön, man sieht ganz Istanbul. Auch das Spa ist toll, das Wasser war schön warm. Zudem ist zu betonen, dass es überall sehr sauber war. Im Zimmer, im Spa und im Restaurant. Wir werden garantiert nächstes Jahr wieder gehen und wir freuen uns bereits jetzt wieder darauf. Das Hotel hat die vier Sterne voll verdient. Im Brick Brick (ist gleich neben dem Hotel) gibt es sehr leckere Waffeln. Ca. 5' zu Fuss entfernt gibt es das Salon Galata, dort ist das Mozzarella Avocado Toast der Hammer =) Ca. 1 Km entfernt gibt es ein tolles Shoppingcenter es heisst Macrocenter. Ist sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar (wir sind zu Fuss gegangen). Es gibt im Macrocenter tolle Geschäfte und es ist direkt am Meer. Es hat auch verschiedene Restaurants mit Meersicht.

Der Fön im Zimmer war etwas schwach und klein.

The hotel is clean & modern, with a perfect location and view from the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Elif, Ismail, Hagiz, Ozkan and Ozge.
