因為是淡季 所以報到要去飯店櫃檯 指示不明顯 報到後還繞了一下才找到房間

Although we were unable to complete any hikes or our pre-booked Dark Sky gazing activity due to poor weather conditions, our motel accommodation was comfortable and we were grateful to have close access to the facilities at the Hermitage.

There was no communication from staff during the snowstorm to let patrons checking out know when it was safe to leave their accommodation, resulting in cars becoming stuck in snow drifts and blocking roads. My husband and I had to assist several drivers to manually push cars back onto the road.

It's the closest motel if you plan to hike the hooker valley track. The bathroom was renovated.

Hard to find the exact location of the room as they are spread out and no signage. Kitchen needs some freshening. Lights are a little dim.and 1 is not working.

Great stay in Mount Cook! The motel is very new, modern, and well equipped, with great facilities throughout. It was also super convenient being able to park right at the door and just relax and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer.

The only thing that could make the stay even better would be an upgrade to the TV, especially adding smart TV features or easy streaming options.

Had to go all the way to the Hermitage to check both in and out. Very expensive for a motel. Laundry machines cash only but hotel can not make change for you

Room was very spacious and lovely, bathroom was good and parking available at the doorstep. View from patio was gorgeous! Location was good - close to all the hiking trails.

The heater didn't work the greatest in our room - enough so we weren't freezing but definitely could've been better. The bar/restaurant and facilities attached to the motel are closed during winter (we weren't aware of this - not sure if it was explained and we didn't read it correctly or if it wasn't explained at all). This just meant you needed to check in/out at the Heritage hotel down the road. Other food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) options also open late and close early so be prepared otherwise you'll also have to head over to the Heritage hotel -which was lovely but on the more expensive side.

This was a good stay, very clean and the room was nice. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking which was just so so amazing. The property was easy to find. We visited in winter so the hotel services were closed, the restaurant and bar ect if you wanted breakfast you had to go to the other side of town to the heritage, this wasn’t explained prior our visit. However we were still very happy with our stay. Thank you!

服務人員不夠，所以motel的reception 跟餐廳都沒開，要到hermitage 去check in跟吃東西，在下大雪的冬天不是很方便

Close to the walking trails, beautiful views. Great for family and staff were quite accommodating to set up sofa bed as well.

Room was fine but there was this old spice cooking smell that lingered.

Location and view were excellent for a cheap motel, had nice tea cookies etc. comfy bed and little sitting area to enjoy the view, heated towel rail and little heater on the bathroom were amazing, very good space for what we paid overall

Had to pay for wifi, older TV (no streaming services available), kitchen tap was reversed (ie hot was cold and vice versa), shower head was loose and flopped down

As it's the winter season, the Lodge and Motels aren't staffed so you have to check in at the Hermitage Hotel. The staff there were nice and explained where we should go. The location was great and the views were stunning. Comfy bed and modern room.

Finding our motel room was quite confusing despite the instructions from the staff at the Hermitage, but that's probably an 'us' error.

Views were stunning. Not too much around Mt Cook restaurant wise but room had a small kitchen which was well equipped. Room was comfortable and fit our family of 5.

Collected our key and was surprised to find a plumber in the bathroom fixing the shower drain. Poor guy was so apologetic as there wasn't any mentioned from the reception that the room is not ready and is under maintenance and we have to wait in the room for 30mins - not that we were early, we were there at 3:30pm). Pillows weren't great. Clean, white pillowcases to cover the actual pillow stain.

The Breakfast buffet is superb; so many choices! We loved the open fire and the friendly staff.

Great motel room at Mt Cook Village. Warm, spacious comfortable room with good kitchenette. Good shower. You can have meals at the Hermitage hotel too. Close to some great walks. At one point the electricity tripped and after phoning reception, someone came round to help straightaway.

Limited restaurant option during the time of our visit

- The motel was spatious and clean. - Although the room is not facing Mt Cook, but the view outside the room was still spectacular! - kitchen has everything we need and it was very clean. - Toilet has a dryer and towel dryer that comes in handy and keep us warm after shower. - Parking is right in front of the room - it's right in the village, so location is prefect!

It's a bit costly, but to be expected at the village.

1.冬天時期報到時要先去隱士飯店報到領取鑰匙,再開車去住宿地點,有點類似小木屋,可以選擇加購隱士飯店的早餐(45紐幣),景色很好,餐點也好吃 2.房間還蠻大,餐具齊全,有小陽台跟木椅可以在外面看星星

Lovely warm room with quality toiletries and kitchen things. Car park right outside unit is very handy when it's snowy. Easy walk to hotel for meals, shop and drinks looking at Mt Cook. Full oven and small microwave if you want to reheat things bought in supermarket in Tekapo or Twizel, hotel up the road if you are feeling wealthy. Breakfast was amazing.

I'm going to preface this by saying obviously I don't go to Mt Cook to watch TV but: it's 6pm and it's dark and there is snow and ice outside and it's minus 12 celsius. It's also 2026 and i think the hotel can do better than blaming snow for the TV actually having no TV channels working except Sky Movies Action sometimes. They also don't open the Chamois Bar all winter so there is nowhere to go nearby for company and atmosphere and reasonable prices. But I'm being extra critical because the hotel bar charged me $2 extra for a gluten free platter which was already ambitiously priced and replaced 3 items including sourdough, lavosh and bread sticks with a dollars worth of supermarket rice crackers. Make petty choices get a petty review. I waited a week for you to reply to my email before putting this up. No reply.

床墊塌陷，睡起來不太舒適。前一天預約早上11:30的接駁，但接駁車沒到，致電詢問櫃檯，櫃檯說司機在吃午餐要40分鐘左右才能接駁，只能自己走路到隱士飯店用餐。

Our self contained motel room was great. We had an excellent view of the mountains and the room came with everything we needed. Main hotel had cafes, restaurants and shop.

Stayed in the 2 rooms self contained with family . Comfortable , well equipped . The staff organised a shuttle bus for me to return to the hermitage , as I was left without a car , and had 2 young grandchildren to look after while their parents were off hiking . E collect service and felt well looked after

Everything was perfect, room were clean every single day. I enjoyed its one of my best location

Buy grocery and cook at your motel. Its too expensive if you're staying for few days.

The room itself was good

The cafe closed at 3.30 and apart from the restaurant thete was no where else to eat. We were also not aware of the $300 hold placed on our account at check in even after prepaying for the room.

The beauty of being in the mountains and waking up to a wonderful view

It was disappointing to find only the more expensive restaurant up at the hermitage was open. The units are clean and adequate but are very old and tired and in need of a modernization. Our booking was advertised as perfect for 2 couples on Booking.com. We assumed that to mean that the unit was 2 bedrooms. However it is only one bedroom with the other couples bed situated in the lounge. This affords no privacy because to use the bathroom the other couple have to walk through the lounge to the bathroom past the bed of the other couple.

The property was clean and spacious.

The hassle of checking in and out in a different location was annoying. It also wasn’t quite what I thought I had booked as having previously visited the village I expected from views of the Mountain, instead we were sent to the back of the property with obstructed views. The rooms were hot, the beds were hard and one pillow per person wasn’t enough. I was informed on checkin a $600 deposit required as we were not dining in at the Heritage. The rooms were unserved during our stay meaning no rubbish removal or extra tea/milk etc. The oven/stove is dated and kept turning off while trying to cook. Super frustrating for the price…

The lodge that we stayed in was perfect & wish we could have stayed longer! The highlight was the kitchenette that included a stove/oven/appliances, the cleanliness/space of the room, the comfy bedding and an insane beautiful view 🏔️
