The tranquility and peaceful surroundings. Cozy nights by the fireplace. We were not short of firewood. The kitchen was adequately equipped with fine appliances. Sufficient bedding to keep you warm. Bath towels provided. Amenities are as advertised. Heated lighting in the bathroom was a bonus.

Some of the patio doors, especially the one in the main bedroom on the ground floor, including the front door, were not secure and required urgent attention. Wooden wall on the top deck, not steady. Stairs from the sun deck are unstable. External lighting was poor.

The panoramic view wz amazing. The cottage was ideal for our family get away from GP to spend time with my 71 yr old Mum. Spending time with her celebrating her birthday at Lakeview cottage made it really special. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed.

The pillows were uncomfortable and need replacing in the room with the red door upstairs.

The view is one of a kind with different experiences of nature throughout the day. The cottage provides you with a farm experience in the midlands along with a sense of safety and convenience. We made full use of the view and the fireplace.

Everything was super

it was a beautiful location. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable. Facilities were great and the management were exceptional with their communication.

There were no negatives for us. We felt we got value for money.

Beautiful location and the house has everything one needs - a fully equipped kitchen, even a cute swing outside and a hammock and some board games inside the house. The staff were also incredibly friendly and when we didn’t have a firelighter they came quickly with a new one. Was such a pity about the weather as it was a typical gloomy and rainy Natal midlands day so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted.

It’s our own fault but we didn’t realize that the curry’s post side of the road is all unpaved roads and there are some few nasty holes along the way so slow and careful is the name of the game driving to the property. Sadly the hot tub was also not working and some of the outside furniture looked old and wonky.

Beautiful place with stunning views. Great service all around. We will definitely be coming back soon.

It was an amazing getaway, the property and cottage where suburp. Ample space and comfortable. i will def recommend this to my friends and family as an amazing holiday not far from our doorstep. Thanks for the oppurtunity to stay at this amazing spot.

The view

The pictures do not do justice to the amazing views and ambiance. The cottage is well-equipped with lots of personal touches and attention to detail. We loved the cozy and comfy feel of our stay. The hosts were friendly and excellent with communication.

Lakeview Cottage is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and surrounded by breathtaking lake views. Every detail was perfect, from the jacuzzi and fireplace to the cozy blankets and big TV. A special thank you to Zanele, the caretaker, who was incredibly helpful and kind. She made us feel truly welcome and was always ready to assist with anything we needed. Communication with the owners was also excellent, we received replies within a minute, and nothing was ever too much. We’re already planning to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended for peace, comfort, and exceptional service!

Exeptional booking and arrangement support by staff throughout our stay. Beautiful, quiet and serene location and the unit was exeptionally kitted out to afford us with a relaxing stay. Loved the Jacuzzi and ample amount of wood for the fire place which made our winter evenings even more cozy!

The location is sublime, the layout of the unit is great, the hot tub with a view is to die for! The staff were amazingly attentive to all our needs going above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Stairs leading upstairs are a bit steep, but as long as you know beforehand just ensure any guests who are unsteady on their feet stay downstairs :-)

Quite and comfortable with all that you need for a short stay.

We were 4 and that was fine. I do believe a full 8 would have been tricky to spend lots of time indoors (or on the average verandah space). The price is very good for 8.

The cottage was beautifully maintained, peaceful, and had stunning views of the lake. It was spotless, well-equipped, and had a cozy yet spacious feel. The surrounding nature made for a truly relaxing getaway, and the hosts were EXCELLENT, professional and welcoming as well as very communicative. We were even lucky enough to have 2 bucks run past us in the garden while we admired the view. The stars in the night are breathtaking.

Beautiful location and view, so relaxing ! We enjoyed strolling to the lake and around the property. hosts super responsive and can come onsite very.

The stairs inside are a bit steep so to access carefully with children or elderly .

We had a wonderful stay and the kindness, hospitality and generous touches (fruit, sweets, champagne, courteously offering an extra complimentary night and allowing family to visit til late) made celebrating a milestone birthday in this picture perfect setting, very memorable. We certainly look forward to returning another time again 💜

The property is on a beautiful farm and the staff and owners were amazing - incredibly responsive to queries but our stay felt very private. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back for another stay.

Amaizing location

The house is so well set up. The deck with the view over the dam is magical. It was peaceful and private!

At first all the instructions and directions are abit overwhelming - but once you take some time and read through it all its not so bad.

Everything is tailored for relaxation and escape - The serenity, contemporary but rustic feel of the cottage, the staff were very professional and attentive. Everything was great.

Communication from Giovanni, Nokuzola, and the whole staff was clear and prompt, from directions to the cottage to whenever we asked for anything. The cottage is very neat, big and clean. Everything was readily available to accommodate self-catering. They had board games for us to play as a family and had an amazing afternoon braai on the balcony. We are definitely coming back again soon.

Loved the venue, vicinity, tranquility and surroundings. Facilities were great! Jet bath was a great highlight.

The gas bottle was empty when we went to cook. There was no mirror in the upstairs bathroom. The driveway was quite potholed.

It is very tranquil and well equipped. It's a place we will visit again. The owners and staff did their utmost best to make sure that we were well looked after and the cottage is amazing. We wanted to stay longer but unfortunately only booked the one night. We will return definitely again for a longer stay

Hi my family from durban stayed over a night to attend a wedding.. they were more than pleased with the place..especially my mom.. she called me to see the place and literally showed me everything. I must say they really enjoyed staying although it was short. They will definitely be back. They were so grateful that you guys left fruit and sweets as well as tea stuff. Thank you so much for accommodating them and giving them early check in..it's highly appreciated. Definitely a 11/10

The view of the lake was breathtaking. Sitting and watching the sunrise in the morning was heavenly. My family and I had a lovely time. My son enjoyed running around this spacious and safe property. It was stunningly beautiful. Overall, it was a delightful and memorable family getaway. We highly recommend this property. We can't wait to go back.
