The room didn't match what I read on booking. I talked to the front desk who had to call the manager. I wanted to move to a different hotel. When I spoke with the manager she was very condescending and kept telling me I didn't read the description correctly, but that she would let me out of the rest of my reservations. So I would stay one night and they would release me without charging me for the remainder of the reservation. Of course, she was very condescending and blaming me (ok, I misread, you don't need to say it 4 times). Then I received an email restating all of this yet again and telling me that they would not charge me for the rest of the reservation. I went to the front desk when checking out to talk to the person to verify they wouldn't be charging me for the remainder. No one was there. There was a note telling me know one was at the front desk, if I needed help to call the number. I called the number and no one answered. However, I was charged for the full reservation and I've emailed the property 3 different times since I found out they charged me and I've received absolutely no response.

Outstanding location. Easy to get in and out of the parking garage going in either direction. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. I could’ve paid two or three times as much in the same area, but why would I?

The room was not well lighted at night. Great window light during the day, but it would have been difficult to read in the evening. Not impossible, but not optimal.

The location was close to Washington University and it had gated parking … everything about the hotel is self service …

The new trend in Hotels is there’s no workers you do things online … if something goes wrong you call and maybe you get a person and then you texted codes to get in and out of the hotel and in and out of parking I never saw a front desk staff. It wasn’t for the cleaning lady I wouldn’t have seen anybody that worked at the hotel. Some people may like that.

Everything was great

The location was very convenient. The staff we interacted with was friendly. It was clean!

Our shower did not have great water pressure.

I liked the fact there was a kitchen, and a grocery store near by. This helped save alot on food.

There seemed to be more than a few vagrants in the outside area, was bothered multiple times walking for money.

We were in town to move our son. The parent's of our son's girlfriend recommended the West End. We were not there much except to check in, change and sleep. It was a beautiful room though and the bed was very comfortable. I will book again next time we come to St. Louis to see our son!

We come to St. Louis to see family and friends, so the West End is ideal for us. It's spotless clean, affordable, and well located in the Central West End just 2 blocks from the Cathedral and very close to downtown.

Consider providing more instructions about which parking spaces to use.

It was very clean with keypad access after hours to the building and a parking garage. The staff were very nice, pleasant, and helpful.

The water to the toilet in the master bathroom was unhooked and some water was still under the flooring in there, however, I sent a message on the app and with 10 monutes someone came to reattach the water line with no leaks.

Too hot, ac unit too loud, toilet chain kept getting stuck.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. Great value compared to downtown hotels.

It was in a great location inside the city of St. Louis for the price. Near food options, near a major bus line, and about a 10 minute walk to the Metro Light Rail system that goes through downtown and points west.

If you like housekeeping stopping by your hotel room every day you may be disappointed. For me, I did not mind it at all. It also may be a way to keep costs down.

Location is okay. The room was clean, but smelled like chlorine the entire stay.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The building is very outdated, and it really shows. In 2026, having a window A/C unit that completely blocks the window is disappointing. There’s no way to open the window for fresh air, and the A/C blows directly onto the bed, making it uncomfortable to sleep without freezing. It’s also incredibly loud - we genuinely thought it was raining and thundering every time it turned on. The shower is so tiny that it’s difficult to even turn around. The room lighting is also terrible. Unless you turn on the bathroom light and all three bedside lamps, you can barely see anything. Charging devices was frustrating because there were almost no usable outlets. The USB charging ports built into the bedside lamps didn’t work at all. Several basic amenities were also unusable. The iron was basically non-functional, the water was dripping from it and it didn’t even heat up properly. The ironing board was unusually small, and there was barely any space to set it up. The toilet also didn’t drain properly. Every time we flushed it, the water would rise to the point where it looked like it was about to overflow before it finally drained. It was both strange and concerning. The hotel also advertises a hot tub as one of its amenities, but it was closed during our stay. We weren’t informed of this before booking, and if we had known, we likely would have chosen a different hotel. Finally, the bed is extremely high off the ground. Families with young children should be aware that a fall could easily result in an injury. To be fair, the room was clean, but cleanliness alone doesn’t make up for how outdated and inconvenient the overall experience was. The price was nowhere near justified by the value we received. In my opinion, the room felt worth about half of what we paid.

A real gem. So glad we discovered it. Perfect location and the property itself is everything we want in a place to stay: location, cost, cleanliness, staff, extra amenities and on-site parking

The gym could use some improvements, but that’s really just nitpicking. My only other suggestion would be to move checkout to 11 AM instead of 10 AM.

I liked most of the property. Made me feel safe in downtown St. Louis.

The water was shut off by morning. Which sort of eliminated one of the main reasons I booked a hotel room… to have a place to shower and get ready in the morning for a business event. They say it was the city’s issue, and I can accept that. I also can accept that there wasn’t anything they could really do… But that was over $100 and it wasn’t too much more different than sleeping in my vehicle.

Ho prenotato una camera con due letti, ne ho trovato soltanto uno. Quando l’ho fatto presente alla reception, mi è stato detto: l’altro letto è il divano che si trasforma in divano letto, resta il fatto che non mi hanno aggiunto l’altro letto, ignorando completamente la mia richiesta. Oltre ad aver pagato per avere due letti.
