owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to help with anything we needed. He even took us around Ella to explore on both the day we arrived and the following day, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch. The room was cozy, comfortable and very well priced, and the breakfast prepared by the owner was delicious. The views from the property were also incredible — some of the best views we experienced in Ella. And a special mention to the adorable new puppy — such a cute little addition to the property and definitely made our stay even more memorable Overall, this was easily one of our most comfortable and enjoyable stays in Sri Lanka.

The only minor downside was that the property was a little further out of town than I expected, up a fairly steep and winding road in the hills. It was still only around a five-minute tuk-tuk ride into town however. The Wi-Fi also wasn’t the strongest and the shower pressure was quite low, although neither of these things affected how much we enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely the best stay of our entire trip so far! What a beautiful place! Our room was absolutely stunning, and the view of the waterfall was simply breathtaking. Everything was perfect, from the room itself to the peaceful surroundings. A special thank you to our amazing host, Sanju, who was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful, and even took us on a full-day trip to some of the most beautiful places in Ella. Thanks to him, we got to see and experience so much more of this incredible area. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay. If you are visiting Ella, we would 100% recommend staying here. Stanza bellissima da poco rinnovata, letto comodo e confortevole. Stupendo terrazzino con vista sul quale viene servita una meravigliosa colazione. Host gentilissimo e molto disponibile!

Habitació molt neta, gran, amb unes vistes increïbles i molta llum. Super silenciosa i amb una decoració preciosa. És tot perfecte. Només hi vam estar una nit i ens hauria encantat quedar-nos més! El Sanju és super simpàtic i ho posa tot molt fàcil, fins i tot ofereix servei de tuk-tuk a molt bon preu. L’esmorzar també és genial i molt complet.

Lush in Ella è totalmente immerso nella giungla e regala dei panorami senza fiato. Fare colazione sul balconcino, circondato da alberi di banano e con questa vista non ha davvero prezzo. La struttura è moderna, pulita e dispone di ogni servizio (mini-frigo, phon, bollitore elettrico, ventilatore). L'host, Sanju, è davvero una persona super gentile e disponibile. Ci ha deliziati con delle colazioni buonissime, preparate al momento e portate direttamente sul terrazzino privato della camera. Ho soggiornato lì per il mio compleanno e lui ha preso una piccola torta con le candeline. Davvero un gesto molto bello!

La posizione. Ella si sviluppa su "più livelli", con abitazioni raggiungibili da stradine strette e molto ripide. Anche Lush in Ella è così. Sanju però è stato gentilissimo, rendendosi disponibile e accompagnandoci per quel tratto di strada con il suo tuktuk.

Das einzigste kleine Manko: das WLAN ist ne Katastrophe. Also für Diejenigen, die vielleicht Remote arbeiten wollen oÄ. Das wird schwierig. (Aber am besten es wird einfach nicht gearbeitet 🤓)

Le gros point de cette magnifique chambre est son emplacement pour le silence et la tranquillité. Le propriétaire est adorable et très gentil, il propose directement des trajets en tuk-tuk à un prix très abordable. L'endroit était propre et sentait très bon. Nous avons adoré les meubles et matériaux utilisé pour cet établissement qui le rende charmant et cocooning à la fois.

What a lovely stay at Lush. We had no idea that many of the accommodations in Ella are set mountainside, which makes perfect sense once you see the incredible views from the balcony. Our driver took us to a small road that cars aren't advised to travel due to its narrow width and steep incline. From there, Sanju met us with his own tuk-tuk and drove us the rest of the way to the property. He and his wife were so sweet and accommodating, and they served us a wonderful breakfast right on the villa's balcony each morning. They also helped us arrange laundry service at a reasonable price. If you want to head into town, you can either walk to the main road or take a tuk-tuk. One thing to note: there are about 80 steps up to the property, so if stairs aren't your thing, this may not be the best fit. There's no AC, but a fan is provided, and it does cool down nicely at night. Unfortunately, I got sick during our stay and was bedridden for part of it. Even so, having a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the waterfall and surrounding nature made it much easier to rest and heal. Under different circumstances, I know I would have enjoyed it even more but it was still a wonderful stay overall. The villa itself is tastefully decorated and beautiful. Thank you for making our stay in Ella so memorable. <3

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und wunderschön! Ein großer Balkon mit traumhafter ruhiger Aussicht. Der Besitzer ist sehr aufmerksam und nett, er hat uns zu jeder Zeit überall hingefahren und auch wieder abgeholt. Preise sind mehr als fair! Frühstück wurde uns immer zu unserer Wunschzeit auf dem Balkon serviert. Ebenfalls hat er sehr süß kleine Hunde 🥰 man hat sich wirklich sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt!

Sanju war der zuvorkommendste und aufmerksamste Gastgeber, den man sich vorstellen kann. Er zeigte uns die Gegend mit seinem TukTuk, holte uns ab und machte eine Tour mit uns - alles zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft- mit fantastischen Blick. Über den Shortcut über die Bahn-Schienen war das Zentrum auch gut erreichbar. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Het is een super mooi locatie, niet midden in het centrum maar wel vlakbij. Sanju is een fantastische host die je overal naartoe kan brengen en alles kan laten zien. Ook regelt hij iedere ochtend een fantastisch ontbijt. De kamer is ook perfect, super netjes met een lekker balkon.

Th is place was an absolute top pick, right in the heart of Ella with easy access to all the local attractions. Sanju truly won me over. When it came time to pay, he simply said, 'Why worry, let's sort it out on your checkout day.' He's an ex-officer, and that discipline and commitment really show in how he looks after his guests. The cherry on top is the amazing food his wife cooks. I highly recommend this place, it's an absolute gem, and I'll be telling everyone passing through Ella to stay here. Superb!

Das Lush in Ella war auf jeden Fall unsere beste Unterkunft während unserer Zeit in Sri Lanka. Das moderne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer liegt wunderschön in den Bergen und bietet einen tollen Ausblick. Diesen Ausblick kann man morgens bei einem leckeren, hausgemachten Frühstück auf dem eigenen Balkon genießen. Das beste an der Unterkunft ist aber der unglaublich nette und gastfreundliche Host, Sanju. Er hat uns, wann immer wir wollten, zu verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten gefahren oder auch in der Stadt abgeholt. Dabei hat er uns auch jedes Mal etwas über die Region berichtet, dadurch konnten wir richtig in diese schöne Gegend eintauchen.

Very minor but only thing to bare in mind if you book is that it can get a little musty/damp if you don’t leave the doors open (which we didn’t want to do because mosquitos). Also, you can’t pay for room with card so make sure you have cash! Overall an amazing stay though!

A hidden gem in a beautiful and peaceful location on the edge of the jungle. The views are stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing away from the crowds. Sanju fue un excelente anfitrión y nos organizó un tour de un dia completo con él y fue de los mejores días del viaje, súper completo incluso llevándonos a sitios que jamás habríamos visto si no hubiese sido con el. A mi pareja y a mí nos encantó todo, desde la cálida bienvenida por parte de Sanju, propietario del alojamiento en la estación de tren de Ella, el cual nos recogió. Un aspecto a destacar es la limpieza de la habitación y la decoración. El propietario nos hizo un tour de día completo por Ella a un módico precio que estuvo fantástico. Los desayunos eran muy buenos, subiéndotelos a la terraza de la habitación. El paseo desde el alojamiento hasta el centro de Ella por las vías del tren insuperable. Recomiendo este alojamiento.

Posto davvero meraviglioso!!! Camera nuovissima, arredata con cura in ogni minimo dettaglio! E soprattutto immersa nella natura, la vista dalle vetrate sui vari lati è impagabile! È un attimo fuori dal centro di Ella (centro raggiungibile con pochi minuti di tuk tuk) ma è proprio questo che ti fa sentire immerso in un piccolo paradiso! L’host è gentilissimo, super disponibile, di quell’ospitalità e cortesia autentici dello Sri Lanka! Ci è venuto a prendere col tuk tuk per fare l’ultimo pezzetto di strada perché per la macchina la strada è stretta. La colazione viene servita sulla terrazza subito davanti alla camera, con prodotti freschi. Davvero consigliatissimo!

Vue de la cascade depuis le lit, douche avec eau très chaude, literie confortable… le paradis ! Emplacement à 15 mins à pieds du centre ville le long du chemin de fer, c’est super beau. Le petit déjeuner servi était absolument parfait, il nous a fait découvrir les repas traditionnels, c’était délicieux. Il nous a tout organisé pour qu’on se sente bien. Nous avons fait une excursion avec lui toute la journée, c’était super Je recommande 100% !

The shortcut along the train tracks into the city center made it surprisingly easy to explore the area on foot. A special thank you to Sanju for organizing a memorable birthday program for me — it made our stay feel truly personal and unforgettable. Sanju is a wonderful host who makes you feel instantly welcome upon arrival. He also offers tours, which we would have loved to do with him, but we had already arranged a private driver. He drove us down and up with our luggage. He is such a nice man. The place itself is absolutely beautiful. One of the highlights was breakfast “in bed” — served directly to the room so you can enjoy it with an incredible view. The breakfast was generous and varied: pancakes, coconut rolls, eggs, hoppers, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and tea. And then the room… wow. The view is stunning, and the interior is just as impressive. Everything is new. The only SMALL remark was that the shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but that’s really the only remark. The location is also perfect — close to the center, yet far enough away from the noise. It truly feels peaceful and private, like you have the whole place to yourself.

His very flexible so instead of squeezing everything in one day we spread it out over 3 days. We stayed at Lush in Ella for just one night, but it was honestly the best place we experienced during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. The view is absolutely breathtaking – waking up to such a stunning panorama, even for a short stay, made a huge impression on us. It’s truly something special. The breakfast was delicious and very generous, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options. Everything was prepared with care and was full of flavor. Because of the amazing location, you need to take some stairs to reach the property, but it wasn’t an issue at all. We managed easily even with our luggage and a two-year-old child. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. He organized a fantastic tour around Ella for us at a very good price, which we really appreciated. He was also very warm and welcoming towards our child, which made our stay even more comfortable. Even though we stayed only one night, we would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

Ons verblijf was werkelijk perfect – een absolute 10/10! De kamer was prachtig, tot in de puntjes verzorgd en heel comfortabel. De kamer was daarnaast heel proper! Elke ochtend werden we verwend met een heerlijk ontbijt met veel variatie. De host was super lief en ontzettend vriendelijk. We voelden ons meteen welkom. Hij nam ons mee op een dagtour, waarbij we hele leuke en bijzondere plekken hebben gezien – een ervaring die ons verblijf extra leuk maakte. Het verblijf ligt iets meer afgelegen maar voor ons was dat zeker geen probleem! 15 minuutjes wandelen en je staat meteen in het centrum. Wij zouden hier zonder twijfel langer willen blijven! 💛

Could sit on the balcony all day. This property was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful. They organised an adapter for me and were on time with breakfast. Breakfast was a feast!! The stay itself is beautiful and modern. The views are awesome, you can see a waterfall through the trees on the balcony! The property is a little out of town which is perfect for a jungle escape and to relax and unwind. The owner offered to help me get into town but I didn’t need it during my stay. Just something to consider if you want to be in Ella town. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful jungle retreat while in Sri Lanka!

Отзывчивый хозяин, помогал во всех вопросах. Утром был накрыт на террасе завтрак со свежими фруктами и соком. Если необходимо, он встретит вас и сможет помочь с перемещением, так как у него есть свой тук-тук. Рядом в 5 минутах ходьбы кафе местное, аутентичное с традиционной кухней, нам понравилось, рекомендуем заглянуть. Дорога к вилле непростая, но это стоит того! Best of the best! Рекомендую!

Wir hatten einen rundum perfekten Aufenthalt im Lush in Ella. Schon die Ankunft war super entspannt, da unser Host uns kostenlos vom Bahnhof abgeholt hat. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts hat er sich bestens um uns gekümmert, war immer erreichbar, hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben und uns für einen fairen Preis überall hingefahren. Er hat uns zur Monastery gebracht, zum Little Adam’s Peak gefahren und uns später an der Nine Arch Bridge wieder abgeholt. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man ausserdem ganz einfach entlang der Bahnschienen in etwa einem Kilometer nach Ella laufen. Die Unterkunft selbst liegt wunderschön im Grünen. Man schaut direkt auf den Little Ravana Wasserfall, auf Bananenbäume und ganz viel Natur. Es gibt nur ein Zimmer, das sehr hochwertig und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist. Ein kleiner Tipp: Nachts die Tür leicht offen lassen, da es sonst etwas stickig wird. Es ist sicher und man hört dabei die schönen Geräusche der Natur. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen ein Highlight. Es wurde zur gewünschten Zeit direkt auf unserer Terrasse serviert, war extrem lecker, authentisch, lokal und jeden Tag etwas anders, immer mit einem frisch gepressten Saft. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Ella is a vibrant noisy bustling centre which attracts large numbers of visitors. We were pleased to have stayed at Lush just a short distance from the main centre in a quiet haven. Sanju our host was exceptionally accommodating picking us up in his personal tuk tuk from the main road. We were bowled over by the quality accommodation and the view. Breakfast was Sri Lanka style with fresh smoothies hoppers pancakes and fruit and was delicious

La struttura è costituita da un unico appartamento ubicato fuori dal caos della città di Ella, ma il centro è facilmente raggiungibile percorrendo a piedi i binari della ferrovia. Dal balconcino, dove abbiamo consumato ottime e abbondanti colazioni, si gode di una magnifica vista sulle cascate, sull'Ella Rock e sul Little Adam's Peak. Sanja, poi, è stato un ottimo host. Discreto e disponibile, ci ha portato col suo tuk tuk a visitare tutti i luoghi di maggior interesse. Stra consigliato!

De waterdruk in de douche, maar dit is ook echt het enige. De rest was perfect!!

Dit een geweldige plek! Op een berg 5 minuutjes van Ella centrum. Saman heeft ons de hele dag meegenomen en alle highlights van Ella laten zien (thee plantages, Nine arch bridge, waterval, zipline bij little adams peak en geluncht met hem bij een locaal restaurantje! Dit doet hij met veel plezier en passie voor zijn land. Het wat geweldig want op deze manier hebben we in ons korte verblijf toch alles gezien wat we wilde zien en zijn we op plekjes geweest waar we anders zelf nooit terecht waren gekomen, zoals de verborgen waterval! Hij en zijn vrouw maken een voortreffelijk ontbijt wat overheerlijk is! De plek ligt op een heel idyllisch plekje en we kunnen dit zeker aanraden!

We had the most amazing days in Ella, and staying at Lush in Ella truly made the experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. Our host, Sanju, picked us up from the train station with a warm welcome and brought us to the property — and WOW. That’s honestly the only word that fits. The place is simply stunning — every detail has been thoughtfully designed, and you can truly feel the love and care put into it. We enjoyed every single moment. Each morning, Sanju brought us a delicious breakfast to our room (see photo!) — such a lovely touch. Nothing was ever too much for him. He happily drove us to Ella town and picked us up again, always with a smile, and for a very fair price. On our second day, Sanju took us on a full-day tour around Ella — again, for a very reasonable price. We did everything you must see in Ella: the Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, the zipline, Ravana Falls, and Pallewela Falls. We even got to try some local fruit on the way back. Sanju made the whole day so fun — always laughing, kind, and full of energy. For lunch, he brought us to a local hidden gem called Kesel Kole — highly recommended if you want authentic food in a local atmosphere! After a full day of exploring, he was still ready to drive us back into town in the evening. Honestly, he was more than just a host — he felt like a friend. There was also a black dog, we named him Tommy. Sanju liked the name 😉 We can’t recommend this place enough. The accommodation itself is a solid 10/10, the location is perfect, and Sanju is an absolute gem of a host. He also arranged a taxi for us to our next destination — just another example of his kindness and helpfulness. If you’re coming to Ella, do yourself a favor and stay here. We truly can’t put into words how amazing our experience was. If we ever return to Sri Lanka, Lush in Ella will definitely be on our itinerary again. 🫶🏽

Sehr ruhiger Ort, man bekommt vom hektischen Ella nichts mit, ist aber wenn man will, durch eine wunderschöne ca. 15 minütige Wanderung entlang der Bahngleise im Zentrum. Der Vermieter ist unglaublich herzlich und macht einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm, wie möglich. Unbedingt buchen, es lohnt sich!

Wir haben selten solche eine schöne Unterkunft erleben. Das Design, die Lage, die Gastgebern und das Essen waren wirklich von allerhöchstem Standard. Während unseres Urlaubes hatten wir viele schöne Unterkünfte aber das Lush bleibt uns extrem positiv in Erinnerung! Es war wirklich ein Traum. Wenn man über die Gleise läuft ist man in 13 min mitten in Ella und trotzdem schläft man mitten in der Natur.

No se ni por donde empezar. El desayuno fue el mejor de mi vida y mucho mejor que cualquier hotel de 5 estrellas. La habitación toda renovada con unas vistas que jamas te imaginarias tenerlas. Pata terminar, el servicio fue a nivel de sentirse adorado, lo siento pero tenéis que vivirlo.

Tolle Unterkunft, ganz neu. Es ist lichtdurchflutet und man hat direkten Blick auf das Tal und den Wasserfall. Das macht den Aufenthalt sehr idyllisch. Da Bananenstauden direkt vor der Tür ist und Affen morgens vorbei schauen fühlt man sich wie in Dschungel. Das Bad ist großzügig geschnitten. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Da es nur ein Zimmer ist und es keine andere Unterkunft in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt hat man Privatsphäre. Das Moskitonetz ist ohne Löcher, was wichtig für uns war. Das Frühstück war eins der besten in ganz Sri Lanka. Es gibt jeden Tag etwas anderes - lasst euch überraschen. Es wird auf dem Balkon serviert. Da haben wir uns jeden Morgen drauf gefreut. Die Lage ist abgelegen genug, um Ruhe zu finden, aber Ella selbst liegt nur 15 Minuten zu Fuß entlang der Eisenbahnschienen entfernt. Es gibt auch ein gutes Restaurant keine 5 Minuten entfernt. Man braucht keine Klimaanlage, denn Ella liegt hoch, dadurch ist es kühl. Es gibt einen Ventilator, so kommt ein Luftzug auf, was ganz angenehm ist. Der Gastgeber begegnet einem stets mit einem freundlichen Lächeln.

Die Matratze könnte weicher sein. Nichts, was uns wirklich gestört hat.

Camera bellissima, nuova e arredata con molto gusto, un plus la terrazza con la vista magnifica dove viene servita tutte le mattine una colazione abbondante e deliziosa. Il proprietario è gentilissimo e disponibile in tutto.

La struttura non è molto comoda da raggiungere e nei paraggi non c’è pressoché nulla ma anche questo rende speciale il posto.

The luxurious room and shower facilities were exceptional. The view of the nearby waterfall was excellent. And the breakfast was varied, hearty, and delicious! Saman (and his wife) was an excellent host and I can’t recommend this accommodation enough! Excellent attention to detail in the decor, and super modern. Everything was very clean. The view from the room is sublime of the nearby waterfall. Breakfast was really delicious and generous - we stayed two nights and had two different breakfasts - both great made by Saman’s wife. Saman is available for day tours in his tuktuk, as well as picking up from town centre or dropping into town as well. You can also walk along the railway track into town in 20 mins - it’s a great location. The best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka - don’t hesitate to book!

Amazing modern room with beautiful views of the waterfall. Situated close to Ella centre, which is only 4 min by tuktuk. The host picked us up from the train station and provided tuktuk services when needed. The service and kindness of the host was exceptional! The breakfasts which were served on the balcony with a great view were delicious and plentyfull! Wish we could stay here longer! The value for money is great!

The location is beautiful, it has a very romantic vibe to it. The way they have built the wooden cabin is so aesthetic and well planned. The hosts were super helpful and the breakfast was amazing

The view from the room is breathtaking. Breakfast at the balcony with the waterfall view is superb. The overall service is good and there’s a lot of privacy as you get the room all by yourselves. Everything else is new and well maintained.

It’s not easily accessible and the road leading to the home stay is quite steep and narrow. Nevertheless, they are always around to give you a lift with their tuk tuk.

We had a perfect time at this beautiful accommodation. The interior is very tasteful and the setting is great. Our best stay in Sri Lanka.

The owners were really nice, the view was amazing and the bed was soo comfortable. The breakfast was more than enough for 2 people and was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here!

We had an amazing stay at Lush in Ella, the views from the room are incredible and the room is beautifully decorated and very clean. Sanju and Saman were very welcoming and severed lovely breakfast every morning on the balcony. The accommodation is not in the loud centre so they provided a tuk tuk ride for a very reasonable price. It is also a 15 minute walk along the train tracks into town. I would highly recommend staying here, you won’t regret it. One of our favourite stays in all of our travels!

Incredible views, very comfortable modern accommodation, felt like an oasis away from very loud busy Main Street in Ella. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and varied daily. Ask the hosts for tuktuk number to get to and from town (only about 5-10 minute drive or 30 minute hilly walk)

Really beautifully designed room with the most stunning view! The owner is super friendly and took us back and forth with his tuktuk. The breakfast (hoppers in particular) was outstanding. We had a wonderful stay and can definitely recommend!

The reasons why we give only 9 out of 10 points are 1. the dampness of the room that we couldn't get rid off (to be fair, it also rained heavily on one of our days). All of our clothes were quite damp after our stay. 2. the water pressure was extremely low in the shower. After all the hiking in Ella, a nice relaxing shower would have been the cherry on the top. Also we once found a leech in the shower. 3. Not enough storage to hang clothes or towels. 4. at night, the dog (albeit cute) often scratched and digged at the room windows (first time we were terrified as we didn't know which animal it was and only after asking the owner told us that he had a dog). 5. Because of the location one is kind of dependend on tuktuk transfers by the owner which are 500 LKR each way - however, it was really nice of him to offer this service!

This place is incredible :) our best accomodation in Sri Lanka. View is spectacular, we can see Ravana waterfall from bed. Room is very clean, cosy, owners thought about everything: hot shower, fridge, cool glasses and water, shampoo and shower gel, we can use even hairdryer here! Tasty, local breakfast, juices, coffee. Very kind and helpful owners, we felt very comfortable and spent fantastic time here. Highly recommend! Thank you for having us 🌸

Nothing, everything was perfect

The owners Saman and Sandive were very welcoming. They made sure that everything in the room was ready before our arrival. Both are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was just amazing, spotless clean, you can definitely sense the attention to every detail. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees all around. The view is spectacular, you can see the waterfall and hear the sound of running water from distance when lying in your bed, just a wonderful scene to wake up to. Saman prepared a delicious breakfast and delivered it to the room by herself just to make sure that we do not need anything else. This was by far one of the best places we have been to in Ella. We would definitely book that place again on every trip back to Ella. We highly recommend this place.

The location was amazing! An incredible view of Ravana Falls, Ella Rock & Little Adam’s Peak. The breakfast was so good & very generous. Hosts were very kind & happy to drive us where we needed to go in their tuktuk.

We absolutely LOVED “Lush in Ella”. If you are wanting to experience peaceful oasis in Ella, this is the place. The design of this unique space hits all the marks in an off the beaten path stay. A junglalow with a view of waterfall, the jungle sounds immersed in nature. The room is private, super clean and the design of the space is just perfect 🤩 it is a 10 out of 10!!! Saman and her husband were so helpful and kind. The breakfast was awesome… we are vegan and they were very accommodating. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts! 🙏❤️

Gorgeous place, so modern and the view's amazing! Felt so comfy and relaxed after that long drive. Peaceful and quiet, but just a 15-minute stroll to Ella town. The host was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. She even packed us an awesome breakfast to go when we had to leave early for our train!

Water pressure is not the best, but it works and did not take away from the great experience. I had to figure out how the heater works, so I will share it for new visitors: Push the bottom button to turn on the heater; then turn the knob to set the temperature. Open the shower tap. Push the pump button for more pressure; then turn the top knob to set the pump pressure. I set it to maximum temperature and pump level 3 to get a pretty good, even 38-degree shower.

The location was lovely, across from the waterfall, and close to the start of Ella Rock trail. If you want a little secluded cabin in the wilderness, this is the place. We had incredible breakfast every morning, and they were so helpful and provided transport to town whenever we wanted. The service was outstanding and always with a smile! Highly recommend this place.

The shower head could have been a little bigger but that is the only thing! Everything else was perfect.
