Room 104 was small and visitors complained that when sitting infront of the desk having breakfast, if the other person wanted to past, the person had to stood up.

We stayed at Bayside Hotel Monty Naicker street for few days and had a really good experience.the location was very good to explore Durban .and the rooms were clean and comfortable Special thanks to Mathona and all other receptionist , they were very helpful and made our stay very easy . security and house keepers were also good 😊

We couldn't checkin in the morning but I guess we were suppose to do it online and atleast we were able to leave our luggage on their store room for few hours.

The staff was friendly but Madlamini was the best

The view and surrounding is terrible. It is smelly and you could smell someone smoking, the smoke came up to the floor we slept at and couldn't even open the windows for fresh air. Things can't go on like this, surely.

The facility is dirty, full of crocroches and spiders, beds are a nightmare mattresses are old very discomforts and sloppy. furniture is broken not taken care. the place is unhygenic and full of pests needs to been inspected by Health and Safety Department for further operations

No electricity when I arrived, for 24h!! Staff couldn't find my booking. No back up electricity. After 1h they gave me a room with dirty pink towel, no toilet paper, leaking fridge. Pitch dark everywhere, stumbling around, asked for a candle/lamp, was promised one within 15 min, but never received any. Finally, close to midnight electricity back on, but no internet, was told password in the room, but not true, asked neighbour, but the same thing, finally got a different password, but during my entire stay of 5 nights the internet was on for 2 min, then off, on, off, on, off, absolute rubbish and unusable, could not reach my friends. Also, had asked for a quiet room, but instead they put me next door to a metal and scrap company/garage, with hard workers, who were working constantly and throwing fridges, metal, cupboards, plastic, steel etc. in big containers all day and night, what was the staff thinking?! Also, they took 50 ZAR in deposit for key but never handed it back to me when I submitted them my key. I have written to the hotel and asked for compensation, but have not heard a single word back from them. Instead, they keep on sending me automatic feedback mails. Ignorant and provocative customer service. Talked to another Comrades runner at the same hotel, who was upset and told me similar experience. Very bad for the mouth to mouth reputations. I'm still waiting for a compensation from the hotel, serious discount if same stay next year.

Yooh I don't know where to start,,it was beyond my expectations the hotel should be a five star,the staff is friendly and professional at the same time,the room service(cleaning lady) her smile when she greeted us was very warm and welcoming..the room was superb even the lightning was gr8 for my selfies😎😎the cleanliness and comfortable bed mmhh I've been to Bayside previously and was lucky to get the same room the renovations r superb big ups👍made the experience more fun and meaningful for my partner and I ... excellent service🤏

Iiked everything,but would like to suggest that when booking online we must be advised to bring 🆔 and money for the key..but all in all my stay was gr8

Noisy at night and tv channel’s not working and ac couldn’t work well

The bed was comfortable though it was making some spring wire sounds,The room including the bathroom,Linen and towels were clean though we spotterd a cockroach

The Tv was malfunction,It was displaying no signal non stop, until we checked out The decoder was malfunction,It was displaying the red light until we checked out n room 103,The fridge was dirty ,We tried calling the front desk for assistance but The phone call was not picked up Because we thought the batteries for remotes were flat.The microwave was rusty inside on top,01x cup have a stain inside,,The glass inside the bathroom was dirty,We even spotted a cockroach next to the cup tray,Only 01x bar soap was provided.

The bed it's not comfortable enough it was making noise, so I couldn't create a tornado on the bed.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean. There was no smell at all. The hotel is near the shops and beach is also not far. Especially when you want to walk.

When we arrive the rooms were not ready yet, we 've waited more than an hour, so I didn't like that

The place is good and worth the price,stuff so friendly and lovely, they store are bags before checking coz we was earlier and during check out they also stored our bags safely du to late night bus.Best place not far from the beach (3 mins walk) next to the filling station meaning u can buy snacks across the street late night not far from spar restaurants are they close around 00:00

Please fix the wifi range it doesn't work some floors and rooms also the TV are old not smart ones meaning u can't watch Netflix but not a big deal coz they have DStv During weekends late nights some people make noise but security attend to it quickly u know how zulus we are when we drunk 🤣🤣

The room service time in the morning was supposed to be done immediately we leave the room in the morning. My uncomfortable experience was that on the second day of my stay the room service was done at 3pm when I returned from the beach as the lady said the bedding laundry was still wet. We had to set elsewhere in those wet swimming clothes for 20mins. Secondly,they need to have available room service for those coming from the beach as we come back wet and full of sand. Thirdly,the hotel needs to avail laundry services for us when we come back from the beach. We need to wash up our clothes as we can't travel back home with sandy clothes nonetheless ur stay was very comfortable and it felt like home away from home. The beach was nearby,just two robots away nonetheless I would definitely come back. Value for money.

The staff was rude especially the manager, towels were dirty, 105 water was leaking from the fan, there was a mark of water showing that the room was not cleaned. Batteries were missing for remotes both 105 and 214, loud noise from other clients, parking looks dodgy

Noise, from scrapyard, n other people at the rooms, when we checked in, there was no explanation or offers to access wifi, we saw that a day after because it was written at the reception, we were never offered breakfast and when we asked we were told it's for the people who booked online, as if we booked face to face and the lady said we can "request" for it if we want.... Another thing is the staff isn't friendly, and welcoming.. and they always ask for remotes and all when you leave the key to go out, don't they have a procedure in place to track when would the check out be for people in a particular room number. There was no cutlery, tea,coffee, salt or sugar in the rooms 🤔
