The room had not been cleaned to a normal satisfaction. the skirting boards and the windowsills were scruffy beyond belief. The chair had marks on it and there was red stuff on the bedding. It looked like nail varnish. Strangers tried to get into our room twice during the night. People shouting and banging on windows during the night, This hotel said no stags and hens but there were groups of only men. and a group of only women. We did tell the staff and they were apologetic. But I would not stay here again.

Receptionist was warm and welcoming, room was very basic but clean. Breakfast was good .

Our room was on the ground floor, when we arrived there was a kids party underway so was very noisy, the lady on reception apologised for this and it really didnt worry us as it was 3pm and we have grandchildren of our own. She assured us that was not the norm. However, upon returning back to our room after a night out the noise from other guests was horrendous! They wereobviously drunk and yelling at each other. This carried on until 1.15 am when they finally went to bed. Then to top this off we could hear all the bottles etc being emptied, presumably by a staff nember. We could also smell smoke during all the noise.

The lady we wet during check in and the kitchen staffs were friendly and welcoming

The hotel smells of cigarettes, the carpet was visibly dirty and smelly. The room smells of dust, there was a hole across the bottom of the wall opposite the bed. The shower was very small. The room service only changed the bin and provided new towels, they didn't change the beddings or hoover the carpet. The lady at check out bias, she was very friendly with other people checking out but was dismissive to my family and friends.

Breakfast and service were good, hotel was full of young dancers who were very noisy till very late,(including young school age children)

The children should have been kept in the bar area with the adults, but we're allowed to run around the hotel, screaming and banging on doors,

Carpets were filthy Bedding had stains and valance was dirty . Dirt and fluff around edge of the beds where it hadn't been cleaned properly.

Excellent location for the tower, winter gardens, shops and beach. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Nice bar with good prices. Dog friendly (pay an additional fee). Lovely breakfast. Spotless dining room. The 3 star rating is fair.

Not wheelchair accessible or good for people with mobility issues. There is a lift but there are still stairs to get to the lift. Could do with an update to decor and furniture.

Friendly staff,great location, very clean,food was excellent and quick.

Staff were very helpful they were also very accommodating as I was with crutches so needed a ground floor room. Breakfast was good. It was in an ideal spot for our Soul Weekender at Winter Gardens. All in all a pleasant stay.

The ground floor room was right by the bar and the rooms weren't very soundproof. But not too much of a problem as was out of the room most nights till late.

The breakfast was nice. The staff helpful. The room was a bit dated, but well stocked, functioning and clean.

Unfortunately the room was over the bar and there was karaoke that night. The guy singing 10/10 for confidence and attempt, 1/10 for skill and performance. NOT THE HOTELS FAULT!!!

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast staff were amazing. We came down late for breakfast but the waitresses sorted myself and my husband out without any problems. Great hotel

Ideally situated for my weekend at the Blackpool International Soul Festival at the Winter Gardens.

Couldn’t use the lounge as there was a party there for a dance competition at Blackpool Tower who took over the normally relaxing lounge facility.

Hot water and good shower and nice towels Location excellent. Beds were comfy. Staff were friendly. Nice to have tea/coffee facilities

Compared with other hotels in Blackpool, the Melville is one of the better ones. Comfortable enough, rooms are clean, great location, everything in the room works and is as described.

If this was a hotel anywhere else, I’d not be happy. Rooms very small, all a bit outdated, very narrow corridors and loads of stairs, walls very thin, uncomfortable mattresses, no room to move in bathroom, no fan in bedroom - and it did get too hot for us.

Gebucht hatten wir aus Platzgründen ein Vierbettzimmer, 16 qm, scheinbar werden die Zimmer dann nach Ankunftszeit vergeben, da wir erst nach 22 Uhr ankamen, erhielten wir ein winziges Zimmer mit 1,40 er Bett und Schlauchfenster oben quer. Nicht mal Platz auch nur für einen einzigen Koffer. Alle anderen Zimmer waren vergeben, Einen Fön gab es auch nicht, auch da hatte die Rezeption schon alle vergeben.

Bit outdated needs a make over Just thought the bedroom was a bit small there was no parking like it said cost £14 in a storey carpark which was across the way

Nothing, we checked in went to our room opened the door and it fell off the hinges, there was no handy man to fix it so my husband did it, the door frame was rotted so it wouldn’t screw back up properly either so it stayed hanging off all weekend of our stay

The locatipn was great.

Lady who checked us in was nice but gave us wrong room key so my oartner had to go back down and get right one (i use walking stick so its difficult for me). Rooms very noisy walls paper thin. Breakfast we went down werent greeted or anuthing finally the cook noticed we were sat st table so a woman came out took our order. If ypu want somewhere cheap with no frills fair enough

All the staff were so helpful and friendly right from the start.
