Poor shower facilities, poor bed, poor decor, no toiletries, no tea and coffee facilities, had to go down stairs for coffee and pay out of a vending machine, small and old bath towels, no plug for wash basin, cord missing of blinds in the bedroom, overall, a bad room and facilities
The couple that was there were lovely and welcoming from check inn to check out. Very central to the promenade , beautifull place even though still being refurbished does not effect your stay at all. They offer food drinks and it's like a mini arcade through the back. Bar is amazingly decorated and well stocked even for us Scots that like a tennants.
The room, location and the friendly owner
Nothing to note that was unlikeable
Central location. Welcoming host. Amazing bar and drinks selection.
Nothing
There are four things I look for in a hotel. Cleanliness, comfortable bed, hot shower and a friendly welcome. The Kings Cross hotel more than passes all these tests, with Conor showing how much he cares for those staying there.
Lovely staff great facilities good value for money
There wasnt any tea/coffee in rooms
Host was brilliant and games room was lovely for children which we used. There was no hot water and he was very informative when it was coming back on
Could've done with a kettle in room and room was smaller then I expected
Very welcoming. Very clean and tidy. Nice and modern interior. Lots of facilities within the hotel. Beautiful bar area. Location was fantastic. Within walking distance to all main attractions. Car park at the top of the road is a well priced. Owner very friendly ☺️
Nothing.
The staff are very warm and welcoming bedrooms are lovely and modern smart tvs in bedrooms which all work well we booked 2 rooms double for me and my partner and a single room for our mum I’ve stayed at this hotel before this was my second time staying would recommend this hotel there’s a games room which both adults and children can enjoy there also a dinning place where they sell breakfast burgers waffles coffee machine it’s £2 odd for a brew I like mocha it’s nice coffee you get water and mints in your room there currently revamping the hotel love the new bar chairs and tables
The dining room was really good for the kids and the food was lovely.
Noise! No consideration for others, people outside till gone 5am had no sleep! Message the owner and got no reply! Walls paper thin could hear them chatting away all night till the morning. The room was so tiny and the bathroom, well it was so small, even for my 9 year old, the toilet roll was on a dispenser BEHIND you and very hard to turn an reach it its that small in there.
Lots of on-site entertainment, general cleanliness was excellent. Comfortable, well laid out room and the host was always available. Looked and felt welcoming and well decorated too. .
No in-room tea-coffee facilities was efficient but is a clear minus point in morning comfort terms. The bed, whilst overall comfortable, the frame was noisy and clattery and the bathroom was a little dated but clean.
Connor and his wife were extremely friendly and cheerful. The little bar they run downstairs was perfectly stocked and very comfy to relax in. It was very close to town.
The beds could have been a little more comfy, but we managed for 2 nights.
Nice american style diner breakfast. Rooms adiquite for price. Not close enough for noise, but easy walking distance to main area.
Great as always and staff were great
Nothing
Lovely cosy clean room, view of the tower lit up at night, great location, the most friendly, attentive welcoming host, easy check in/check out, we’ll be back to make full use of the games room (mini coral island) and that well stocked bar! Would 100% recommend :) Thank you Connor! <3
Nothing!
The guy who worked there was very lovely and helpful, my daughter adored him. The room was fine, nothing to complain about. Food was really nice and location was exactly where I needed it to be. Parking wasnt really as issue either as there is a car park just up from the hotel.
The check in process was really quick and informative. I hadn’t realised the amount of facilities this hotel has as I’d booked it based on the room pics/location. I’ve been to Blackpool annually for the illuminations switch on with my son and this by far the nicest place ive booked. It had a number of mini arcade games, ROOM SERVICE, burgers, a fully stocked bar, a coffee machine and just a nice vibe. The staff who welcomed me- Connor, was very amendable and friendly. The rooms themselves were clean, modern within the old style b&b building, it had a to and nice touches such as a reed diffuser. As we were out all day/checked out at 10am we didn’t use the downstairs areas but it still all looked nice! I’ve stayed at a b&b with wires hanging out the walls and blinds with bits missing so we will defo book this again next year! Also.. may seem unimportant but there was loads of clean towels in the room, a nice hand soap, the window opened and was left open on arrival so it was the opposite of stuffy which j appreciated after lugging bags from the car. We didn’t realise there was parking available which is good so we parked further down the road which fine. the location of the hotel was close enough to coral island but didn’t have the impact of a busy road feel.
Im not sure if it was my son or just design (as I’ve had the same experience a couple of times in public loos) but the toilet roll holder became jammed so we couldn’t get any out.. I didn’t want to make a fuss so we just bought some back with us. The only other negative was that there were 2 x couples next door to us who had obviously had a good time and were maybe drunk but they were quite loud in one room, laughing and joking etc and when it turned midnight it was became frustrating as I couldn’t drop off. I had stepped out the room to video the noise to send to my husband but Connor then came up the stairs and asked if I was ok.. I explained and he knocked on the room and told the couples to stop immediately and it was really reassuring. As I take my son and my hub stays home with our dogs, it can be quite intimidating to make a fuss as a solo mum so how Connor resolved it was a positive.
Lovely hotel in a great location. It was clean and tidy with everything you could need, including a food and bar area. Great location only a few minutes walk to Blackpool tower and the beach. A special mention to Connor, who was really friendly, welcoming and helpful. He made us feel comfortable from the minute we arrived.
NA
A very warm welcome from the host. Nothing was any trouble. Made sure we had everything we needed.
The rooms especially the bathroom were very small
The host was very welcoming and modern style room.
We arrived to food under the bed from previous guests 🙈 the host was happy to sort it but shouldn't of really been there. Bed sheets had what looked like makeup stains on them. Banging music in the bar until 11pm its not late but not great with small children. No tea facilities in the rooms could be highlighted a little more in the booking info. Taking a deposit for the key on arrival but not available in the morning for the deposit back seems abit strange just a box to leave the key 😏No hand soap or cups, the little extras was missing from this hotel :( its okay would I pay £80 a night again, probably not.
I liked pretty much all of it except the bed was bit small but other than that it was great the owner showed us around and stuff
The bed was pretty small for a double bed
Not a lot
Got charged extra for paying on the day Parking was£13.50 and none available it was just as cheap in the car park Fans on request cost £7 No full breakfast was on offer and no soda water at the bar Someone requested poached egg only to be told he couldn't cook it cause he didn't know how There was so much crammed in to the dining room The carpets leading to the rooms need replacing and we've sort in bigger single beds than the inadequate supposed double we got Would I go back NEVER
Price was perfect location perfect the room was clean and tidy owner was nice and polite explained everything on arrival lovely hotel and parking 2min walk away
Nothing
Excellent little hotel with a fabulous friendly owner. The room was small but had everything we needed. The bar area was cosy, and the hotel had vending machines, a pool table and some arcade machines. Location was great.
Nothing!
The host was very friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely. You didn't need to leave the hotel really if you didn't want to as everything was on site, food, drinks, games and more. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would highly recommend
Location and the 1 person working there did what he could but needed help. His burgers are amazing too.
The shower was stuck on a high temperature and it wasn’t fixed. The temperature was fixed so not sure how they planed to fix it anyway. Beds were small and mattresses hard. Rooms hadn’t been cleaned properly either with rubbish lying about.
Great little hotel
Nothing all was great
We had a lovely stay here the host was very nice and welcoming showed us around, the hotel is in a great place very close to all the attractions etc. would definitely stay here again :)
Pleasant staff and near to centre
The bed was terrible the springs had gone in the matress and stuck in you when you moved and made a noise and it was a very small double
I like the bar space the decor is lovely, The staff were friendly and accommodating, the place was clean and there was good options for food.
The room was very small and the bed was uncomfortable the mattress didn’t fit the bedframe and The drinks were a little expensive, quite a few stairs to our room.
There was no breakfast
Just about everything. Should have included breakfast and tea/coffee facilities in room.
Location and price
The owner was a great host, really friendly and helpful! The food was also amazing, best burgers in Blackpool :) we would happily come back just for those! Rooms were cute and comfy too. Great location right near town centre.
Pompe à bière défectueuse
The host was a likeable chap and could see he had a passion for what he was doing, the communal parts of the hotel looked lovely and would say it was one of the better hotels on this street
The mattress, if the mattress had of been OK the stay would have been fine, i appreciate it is a budget hotel but i think even for the price the most essential thing is the comfortableness of the mattress it was terrible, i also think it could have been a bit cleaner as there was a lot of dust, so i would just say to the cleaner go that extra mile to ensure the rooms are clean the rooms are small so shouldn't take long, i think if the effort that has been put into the communal areas of the hotel was the same as the rooms, it would be a lot better experience for the customer.
Location and lots of things to do at the hotel
Shower was a little small
Great location . Close to all attractions. Friendly staff
Nowhere to hang clothes in room.
The staff our really lovely and will help when ever they can. They go above and beyond. The location is near everthing possible. You have a lovely bar pool table darts and machines to entertain the kids 😀 Coffee machine, just absolutely lovely place to stay definitely would highly recommend staying they.
The only thing I would say my daughter was to tall for the bunk bed but she mangered.
The hotel was lovely and clean, the rooms were spotless, modern and very well maintained. The host who greeted us and booked us in was lovely. He gave us a mini tour of the hotel and its many amenities before we got to our room (this was the first time I'd experienced this as usually the front desk just give you your key and move you on) and provided us with loads of information. The hotel is in an excellent location, its about a 3 minute walk to the sea front which was perfect. We visit Balckpool every year for a mini break and this will now be our go-to hotel to stay at 😊
Host was very professional and personable, location close enough to the front and resort amenities without having too far to walk.
There was nothing I disliked about my stay or accommodation.
Staff were lovely and accomodating
Our beds were uncomfortable. The carpet was dirty. Our bathroom was dirty, small and unventilated. Our bedroom window was broken. The room was tiny and very hot all the time. It ruined our holiday as we had to pay extra for a fan and all the additional facilities in the hotel were at an extra cost too. We were so sad that the room was not how the pictures looked. It was very misleading and disappointing. We feel we've lost out on hard earned money for a substandard hotel.
Very clean and tidy. Facilities were excellent and we were made so welcome by the very friendly owners
Nothing that we didn’t like
Ower was amazing friendly and welcoming
The bed was very hard
Location near everything
Small rooms. Extra charges. No mirror.
Freindly very helpfull defo stay there again
Everything, the staff the facilities the cleanliness
Great hotel
No milk for the tea. Breakfast menu not the best for kids
Lovely staff and nice bar and dining area. Good arcade games
Beds were very creaky and uncomfortable. More like a camp bed so didn’t get a good sleep.
The staff is wonderful and such welcoming family run hotel . Been going for years absolutely love going .
Everything just wonderful place to go for short tip or long stay . Couldn’t recommend it enough
Nothing
Everything
Nice staff, nice bar and dining area
Very uncomfortable beds.
Excellent place, great owner Conner. Couldn't do enough for you. Sorted parking, anything we needed was done. The no drinks facilities in the room is a bit weird as we always have brews but a coffee machine is available downstairs.
Very clean, welcoming, warm and friendly. Connor was very polite, helpful and great with the children. Definitely be returning!
The mattresses on the bunk beds could do with an update, everything else super!!
This was our first time staying in a hotel as we usually book an apartment but I would definitely choose Kings Cross Hotel again. When we arrived we we're greeted by Connor who was lovely and gave us a tour of the hotel and made us aware that if we had any further questions staff would be on hand. I don't personally drink but the bar had a great selection of drinks and there was plenty of food options available. Our room was as advertised and was clean with complimentary bottles of water and mints. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Friendly owners
Nothing
Staff was lovely, food was very good, the hand made burgers was ace and ocation was good. .
Drinks was quiet pricey and the beds was very uncomfortable.
Staff were super friendly both over message and in person.. Good food, great little place.
Mattress very springy, bed wobbled and squeaked, pillows very flimsy, used 2 and my head still sank into them.
Good room/facilities for the price we paid. Quirky decor Very friendly and helpful on check in and bar service.
We didn't have any cash so couldn't have a cuppa in the morning. But we were told about that on check in so our fault we didn't get some. Not really a negative.
We liked everything about this hotel the food was amazing the staff was amazing he was lovely and understood about my oldest son he helped when I needed and reassured me cuz I left my boys buggy down stairs.
There was nothing we didn’t like apart from the toilets in the rooms was a tight squeeze for me but I am a big women. But love you everything about this hotel.
Perfect location, 10 mis from the station & central peir. The host was lovely, very helpfull. Very clean, vending machines for coffee & snacks, food & drinks available.
Location was fantastic. Brilliant stocked bar! Mini arcade was a hit.
The bathroom was small, would be better if the door opened into the room and not the bathroom as it was a squeeze to get in & out of. And needed more coat hangers and would benefit for hooks on the back of the doors.
Excellent location, and the owner couldn’t have done enough for us. The kids absolutely loved the games room, while the adults really enjoyed the excellent selection of drinks in the bar. A fantastic place to stay, and we would definitely recommend it!
Nothing
Brilliant hotel. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
Nothing
There was so much behind that front door! Plenty to do for all ages. We had the most welcoming greeting. We were there for the 5 and 10k run so we had 3 adults which was so hard to find anywhere but so glad we found here.

Everything is just fantastic
Nothing it was brilliant
Great location. Friendly staff. Discoloured towels & white bedding. Stains on blinds. Bed very uncomfortable.
Room very small.
Host was so kind and helpful! Always engaging in conversation and you can see he is super proud of the hotel!
Shower room was very small.
The location was good , the staff were very nice .
The room where so small , there was no bath mat or spare towel to put on the floor i5 was very slippy. The towels were so small and obviously well used. The carpet could have done with replacing or maybe just a clean.
لا يوجد اي شي جيد فيه
جميع الخدمات سيئه
room was nice , hotel had bar and american diner and arcades , very family friendly , young lad called connor who worked there was very helpful and very friendly , couldn’t fault anything really
bathroom could of been a little more clean, shower is small
It's very nice there nice people who run the hotel
Clean
Expensive and Claustrophobic
Host was fantastic; polite, cheerful, informative and built a great rapport with the kids. Everything was explained clearly upon check-in, nothing was too much trouble, the perfect personality and friendly face you want when visiting a new hotel.
The hotel is being refurbished from what we could gather from the signs, so this could be part of that, however the stair and carpets in the hallway have seen better days… refreshing these would give a much more pleasant appearance. The blind-adjusters in the bedroom were also broke on 2 windows but not a massive issue as we were only there for a night.
The staff where absolutely lovely can't fault them
The car park price was ridiculous, no bedroom facilities, have to pay for a morning coffee, shower makes an absolute racket definitely needs getting seen too as 2floors down was able to here the pipes banging!.. bar closed at 11 every night when we was told it would be alot later than that, (most guest even complained) staff was never to be seen only on arrival, just an absolute shame.
Loved how close it was to everything, the facilities were amazing, my son loved the arcade at the back, we didn’t use the room service but the fact it was free was brilliant!
Not really about the property but we had noisy neighbours so took a while to get off to sleep!
Really enjoyed our stay, very friendly welcoming staff, perfect location
Nothing all good just right
Location, staff very friendly
Bed uncomfortable
I found it really cool and peaceful. Be prepared for the seagull alarm clocks though 🤣
Parking was a nightmare being the airshow weekend but if you look 30-32 South King Street there is a hidden car park on the street (download RingGo app to help find it)
Very friendly host. Explained everything about the facilities.
The rooms were very small. No tea and coffee facility in the bedroom. Didn't want to go downstairs in pyjamas for a cup of tea and then pay for it .
My go to hotel every year for the Rebellion festival, clean, tidy, friendly, staff,Ticks all the boxes for my stay.Very happy to stay there.
Excellent communication, great location for central blackpool
The pool table
Paying for extra coffees and the bed wasn't comfortable at all.
Great location and welcoming hosts
Polite and great staff. Value for money is brilliant. Thankyou for a brilliant stay and we will be back!
Connor is a fabulous host nothing is too much and the guesthouse is very close to all amenities
Very friendly and accommodating. There was access to lovely food and drinks within the hotel and location was perfect for local attractions
My stay was during the week for a few nights and within this time there was only one member of staff present. He was manning the bar, dealing with food orders and also cleaning the rooms. This resulted in small delays at time and gave a stressful feel to the stay. Albeit, I would assume there is more staff at weekends or busier periods.
There’s a lot to do which made it easy to want to stay within the facility, the staff are wonderful and very helpful. The room had everything you needed and it was overall a very nice property.
That the hotel was close to town for all the activities we had booked
The bed was uncomfortable for an upgraded room
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and the staff always go above and beyond
Hotel staff lovely and welcoming. Bar and other areas clean and full of things to do. Well filled menu. Easy to use for keys for outside door and room door. Location was brilliant also.
The hotel room was small but manageable for 1 or 2 nights. The bed unfortunately was awful. So uncomfortable and I could feel the metal bed frame below when sat or laid on. Also the lights in the room are turned on and off by a turning nob. Id turned it as far is it could go but the lights were still on slightly which was frustrating.
Great location
Room was way too warm, no plug sockets near the bed and really small rooms. Really uncomfortable bed
Location
Dirty
Clean, great location, easy to access. Hosts were amazing, friendly, fun and kind- really great weekend.

Connor is a fantastic person, we enjoyed Blackpool and we will come back next year
Great host
No toilet in bar area
The facilities were amazing, comfortable and clean rooms, and the host was lovely. Excellent value for money! We would stay again.
Nothing
Everything good location fantastic couple who own it
Management location clean cheap
The owners are absolutely lovely and can’t do enough to help you! Yes it’s basic but has everything you need for a stay in Blackpool.
My only negative was the bed was a little squeaky but it didn’t ruin our stay in the slightest! We
