I love this place. Been here many times.
This visit was high season and unfortunately there was no Aircon.
The restaurant attached was nice.
I felt I'd get dirtier using the shower than not. Bathroom shabby. Paintwork was shoddy in while room. Room in a sketchy stairwell with battered doors. Carpets dirty. Asked for a £20 cash deposit for key but no prior warning this was needed.
Staff were great, room was great, breakfast was great
Everything was good
The location was great
It was basic smelt musty on first arrival in foyer but room was ok for a 1 nite stay x
La ubicación y el personal muy amable
Que a las 23:00 teníamos que estar en la habitación y no se podía salir
Brilliant location, comfy bed and clean room
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room we stayed in could do with a serious upgrade. Painted walls, double glazing (room 107 road side) we could hear everything from cars to drunken yobs. Now having a special needs child she was frightened when an argument broke out outside our door, screaming, shouting & swearing. My husband confronted them and he started kicking our door. I had to personally call the hotel and ask the receptionist to get them to leave. An hour later he was back. I reported this to management in the morning (he was asked to leave the hotel)
Turned up and moved to a different hotel, hotel was filthy, one of my staff members was covered in bites! Really disappointed with the whole experience.

Nothing
Staff we're great, very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was nice.
Noisy drug addicts hanging around the hotel entrance
We liked the room fabulous value for money, staff where brilliant, close to everything we needed
Lamp in room didn't work
Clean hotel friendly stuff made you feel welcome
The staff were fab and couldn't be anymore helpful. The rooms was big enough and clean enough for us to stay. Booked for 7 days and coming back next year. The restaurant there served good food and the breakfast was nice too.
Can't fault anything with this hotel
Clean and the staff was lovely
Room was small

For what we paid. Can't complain. Staff was absolute excellent. Location is excellent. Will definitely be booking here again in November. Indian next door was fantastic. And what this company does for the community is outstanding. So God bless them for that
Rooms weren't huge, bed wasn't great. But for what we paid and what we needed. It was perfect.
Very nice comfortable stay
Parking is bad
I liked that it was close to Blackpool Town centre and where I needed to be. Breakfast was good.
When I first booked i was going with a disabled person but sadly they could no longer come but it wasn't disabled friendly as my room was on the top floor and a stair lift that goes up to say the first if you like.
We loved how friendly and helpful the staff was as we arrived early they allowed us to leave our luggage there until check in time And they helped with any requests we had and they had a lovely banter with us and they also kindly have us free breakfast for all 6 of us on the last day of checkout Eventing was clean and tidy
The only downside was the family room was on the top floor which was a little bit of issue with my mother in law who uses a stick and some of the others
Hotel was in a good spot, didn't have to walk far to the shops
Bed wasn't that comfortable
Everything just brilliant
Nothing really
I liked that the property was central to coral island and it gave me a base to stay at for the bank holiday Monday after I intended to stay for an extra night. The staff were accommodating to let me leave my bags in the bar area before check in took place. The rooms were small but comfortable
The lock was very jammed to the point I had to ram the key in to lock or unlock it. The room felt very outdated with some teared down wallpaper, although the bathroom had a more modern feel so I would like the bedroom to copy that sense of style.
Complementary breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect for our trip.
Nothing actually to dislike although parts of our room were a bit shabby and during the bad rain overnight, a drip developed from the bathroom extractor fan.( We did report it).
Excellent location, staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, very clean, beds were very comfortable and could have a lovely shower in comfort, again, the bathroom was very clean.

Liked how central it was to everything and close to where my car was parked so didnt need to pull suitcase for miles. Nice & clean, comfy beds. The adjoining Indian restaurant was lovely aswell and you get 20% off your booking if you tell them you're staying at the hotel.
Only downside was the guests above were really loud, thought there was a herd of elephants up there lol but that was nothing to do with the hotel it was the guests and it was only 1 night
colour scheme
everything. Stank of cannabis, cracked and dirty sink, shower cubicle door wasn't properly attached, so shower leaked. Bedbugs.... for so wonky I was seasick
Too loud child was crying and couldn’t sleep due too arguments coming from the corridors bed had a piece of bored under thin mattress too over priced shower was running cold cubored broken double bed had a smell too it and bathroom had a horrible smell overall staff was nice and polite
Heard sexual noices coming from rooms don’t think it’s a olace to stay with children
Nothing
It was filthy
Value for money and in a good position for shops. Bedding and bathroom clean.
Stair carpet was horrendous and general decor needed attention paintwork etc.
Do love it at calypso definitely be going again
Boots in 2 nights the first night the bed was very uncomfortable the mattress was very thin and we got no sleep told the manager in the morning and he was very nice and straight away offered us a place at the sister hotel because he was full which was a very nice hotel and very comfortable beds a lovely fresh clean bedding thank you
The bed was not very comfort but was soon dealt with
Location and staff
Room not decorated great, mattress poor quality and breakfast was ok
The location was fine breakfast lovely
Need some staff training with people working behind the bar different staff trying to charge different prices
Breakfast was lovely and staff were so nice
Nothing really
Room was ok was clean and tidy. Staff were polite and friendly during breakfast service.
The room was very hot and stuffy. Although not a problem for us there were alot of narrow stairs to our room which may cause problems for anyone who has mobility concerns.
The local was great, right behind the tower and coral Island, lots of food places close by including McDonald’s a stones throw away.
The corridors had an awful smell, particularly on the side above the restaurant. Thankfully the smell didn’t travel into the room, if it would have I wouldn’t have been able to stay there. The bed was quite small and not the comfiest. The walls are very thin and you could hear noise most of our stay from the corridors etc.
The staff were all amazing
Blood on the banister Easy to get lost when you are on the top floor Unlikely people hanging around on the steps outside and not being moved on, i was approached twice while walking in or out of the building by men who looked like they were on drugs, they was not asked to move.
It was an easy location for the train station and the Winter Gardens
The only thing I didnt like was the stairs to the room, cause there isnt a lift. They do have a stairs lift but pride got in the way of using it. 😂
Shrikant was really suportive. Thanks
Location is central, can see the tower from window and the big arcades coral island is 2 minutes away. The room was spacious and clean, bathroom good size. Shower great. Tea coffee facilities good. Staff where all great, from the guys on reception to rhe girls at breakfast 10/10 customer service. Breakfast was lovely everyday, plenty choice. All fresh and tasty.
The noise, some rooms where very loud and we couldn't get to sleep, not the hotels fault but the doors slamming and kids running up and down all hours, people shouting and screaming. The mattress on the beside was very thin and could feel all the springs. The chair lift worked one day then someone stole key so my mum struggled to get up the stairs rest of week.
Nothing it was dusgusting
All of it it was dirty and very badly moulded disgusting
The staff very helpful Location is great Food is nice
Nothing
Staff and breakfast was excellent they accommodated us with all requests
The heat was unexpected but manageable with the supplied fan
Nothing
The staff are rude (inset for one), the place is a dump and to top it off, they have bed bugs, my partner was bitten, how are they still open, both them and booking.com was useless at sorting a refund, we didn’t even stay one night
The staff were absolutely amazing and so lovely if you needed anything they would go above and beyond to help

The location was great, it has a bar and restaurant ( food was amazing) staff was very helpful and friendly

Nice hotel close to all the shops and beach
There isn't a lift in this hotel so people will mobility issues make sure your on the first floor
Location was the best ever , staff wonderful and polite and friendly , rooms size was great , fresh towels bedding everything could need it was fantastic value for money , breakfast was brilliant and atmosphere was wonderful had a bar downstairs if needed too , excelled expectations beyond measure for the price , superb x
Nothing not to like
The room cost 8p quid ber3y small room maintained prittiy rubish full english was small expected better for the money
Close to the main part of Blackpool, good breakfast provided.
Hotel is run down, the room was dirty in places, the bathroom had a permanent smell coming from the Indian takeaway. On of the duvet covers had a small stain on it.
It’s a fantastic location close to everything myself and my daughter planned on doing in our trip
It was very loud at night when other guests kept slamming their doors but all was quiet by midnight so wasn’t really a big problem just through they could respect others but that is absolutely not the hotel’s fault
Friendly staff, nice clean room, toilet roll tea coffee sugar and milk replenished daily, bed so comfy plenty of sockets in the room over all a fabulous stay 😊
Being on the top floor is quite difficult having to walk up so many stairs each time you go anywhere
Good location
Nuthing
I loved that they had a bar and pool table down stairs lovely location too right next to the centre.
Unfortunately our bed was very uncomfortable due to it being a metal framed bed as well apart from that I loved it .
Hotel was close to where we wanted to be. Close to all attractions. Staff were friendly on arrival. Nice that we could leave our luggage as we arrived early till our room was ready.

Every thing ok
Location close to everything- McDonald’s on the corner. Perfect for everything all entertainment close, pubs clubs arcades food branches all within a stone throw so is the beach front. In the middle of the three piers not to close but not to far…. Quiet at night time.
Nothing everything was fine.
Lovely stay thank you
L’emplacement, et le personnel à l’écoute et super sympa
great location and value for money
Very good staff hotel in good location
Nothing
Centre of town. Staff were nice. Did a nice breakfast.
Dirty & smelly.
Sold as seen ,great hotel ,staff lovely, central location rooms clean and well equipped breakfast was also lovely couldn’t fault it and will Definitely stay again Was perfect for our family of five 2 adults 16/6/2 year old 🥰
I had 2 free breakfasts, the Indian restaurant was excellent
The bed was very lumpy there was no fan or Aircon, the breakfast staff were ignorant, the first breakfast I had 1 sausage 1 bacon beans 1 hash brown 1 fried egg 2 toast in triangles and a pot of tea second breakfast i asked for 2 sausages 2 bacon 1 fried egg beans 1 hash brown The lady said I couldn't have 2 sausages and 2 bacon but I got 2 sausages and 2 bacon and that's it I never had any toast so I asked for some toast and I got 1 toast in a triangle and a pot of tea not good not happy. The room service lady I asked 2 of them on 1 on Tuesday and the other 1 on Wednesday and the boss on reception and another guy on reception for a quilt cover he wrote it down on a piece of paper on a clip board and never got one then asked the boss again and I got one at last a bit late because I was leaving on Friday morning before you book a hotel in Blackpool look at the reviews first it's worth it
The location was perfect. Close to everything that was needed. Shop at the bottom of the street aswell as a mcdonalds. The gentleman who checked us in was great. Lovely and friendly. We also came across one of the cleaners on our stay who was very polite & chatty.
The double bed was extremely uncomfortable. The room was very small. The shower stand was broken so we couldn't adjust the shower in the fear it was going to fall off. The floor was very uneven & you could hear everybody else in the hotel. Walking around putting their bathroom lights on.
The location, its very close to The Winter Garden and the sea front.
Like most places in Blackpool, it’s a bit tired looking.
It was close to town as my partner can’t walk very far
I had booked 2 rooms thinking they would be together but there were no where near each other as every other hotel has always put us near each other the family room was good but the double room was up a load of stairs and was red hot my partner and myself had to stay in family room with 2 of the children as there was no was he could have walked up all them stairs so my daughter had to have double room with the other child and she didn’t get much sleep
Location
Could have been cleaner
Staff are very friendly.
Very noisy location, outside, till early hours. The rooms are very tired n very basic repairs are needed. The bedding, quilts n pillows, are very old n dirty and need replacing.
Quite close to promenade
Room and bathroom were below standard, lock were faulty, room layout and features not good
I didn't like the shower to small. Pillows uncomfortable.
Clean bedding. Location
Musty smell in bar area & toilet, no hand soap in bar toilet, leaking ceiling next to pool table so a towel been put on floor
Good location
Mattress slightly hard
Excellent location central to all the main attraction. Friendly staff and a great breakfast.
Nothing that i can think of.
Absolutely NOTHING we didn't stay there!! For 2 women we didn't feel safe
Everything, there were homeless people by the doors as we arrived trying to sell us knocked off clothing. They followed us inside using the hotel facilities
The location was fine
Everything it was very dirty and the smell in it was terrible . There was a man don’t know if he was a residential or just went in to sit but he was there for 3 days and don’t think he washed the full 3 days . Our room was filthy and paint chipped off everywhere . The shower cubicle was filthy and as for the mirrors and T.V screen I don’t think they had ever had a clean . This has got to have been one of the worst hotels I have ever had the misfortune of staying in .
Families be aware. Extremely disappointing — we left within 15 minutes. We booked a room for our family of five, including three very young children aged 4, 2 and just 8 months for one night to break up the drive from London to Scotland. Unfortunately, the experience was so poor that we walked in and left within 15 minutes of arriving. We were allocated a room on the 4th floor (there is no lift) despite travelling with three young children and a pram. We were simply told to leave the pram in the bar area. This was wholly inappropriate and made the room completely impractical for our family. The room itself was also in an unacceptable condition. I have photographs showing a dirty fan and a ripped duvet cover exposing a dirty duvet underneath. The loft room was unbearably hot, so we were given a second fan. Unfortunately, that fan was also filthy and simply blew dust around the room. The room had virtually no natural light or ventilation — there would honestly have been more natural light and fresh air in a prison cell. The communal areas were being cleaned during our arrival, and the smell of bleach was extremely strong and headache-inducing. It appeared to be being used to mask the very strong smell of cooking coming from the on-site Indian restaurant, which made the overall atmosphere even more unpleasant. The mattresses were also extremely thin and uncomfortable. We appreciate that this was not an expensive room, but price should not be an excuse for basic cleanliness, ventilation, comfort and suitability. A hotel room should be provided with reasonable care and skill, and at an absolute minimum should meet basic standards of cleanliness. Overall, this was the worst hotel experiences we have had. We couldn't stay for more than 15 minutes and left rather than risk spending the night there with our three young children. We requested a refund but according to the manager, they ‘don’t advertise aircon or a lift’, so we aren’t entitled to one.
Good size room for a family of 6. Very cheap and clean. Less then a 5 minute walk to sea front. Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again
The shower door didn't shut properly
Nice clean hotel, comfy beds, very helpful staff, a great breakfast to start your day, plus being right in the centre of Blackpool very close to everything you needed.
