Old world charm, modern comfort

De locatie was midden in de medina! Het huis was werkelijk prachtig. Ontzettend mooi ingericht! Goede communicatie met de gastvrouw. Ze heeft ervoor gezorgd dat onze koffers naar ons huis werden gebracht en weer werden opgehaald. iedere ochtend kwam Naima een heerlijk ontbijt voor ons maken!

Het enige wat ik kan bedenken is wat meer handdoeken.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in toller Lage. Man muss nur ein paar Stufen runtergehen und steht in einer der schönsten Straßen der Stadt. Wir haben uns hier rundum wohlgefühlt. Alles ist super-sauber (hier könnte man wirklich vom Boden essen), die Einrichtung ist schön, die Dekoration ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail entstanden (im Schrank hängt sogar traditionelle Kleidung 😊). Am Morgen bekamen wir ein tolles Frühstück in der Unterkunft zubereitet und hatten immer guten Kontakt zu unserem Host, der alle Fragen schnell beantwortet hat. Ganz toll auch, dass man das Gepäck sowohl bei Ankunft als auch bei Abfahrt getragen bekommt. Der schönste Platz war für uns die tolle Dachterrasse, auf der man viele Stunden verbringen kann. Ein wunderbarer Ort in einer sehr schönen Stadt. Danke für alles.

This property exceeded our expectations! It exudes charm and is perfectly located in Chefchaouen. Communication was clear and access was simple upon arrival. The owner (Tiffany) and local contact (Issam) were very helpful on all accounts. The homemade breakfast was delicious. During our stay I asked for a photographer recommendation from the host and met Mounir, who took fantastic family pictures at a very reasonable price. Thank you Tiffany and team for allowing us to enjoy your fabulous home! Chefchaouen was a family favorite during our Moroccan tour.

Ontbijt werd live verzorgd door gastvrouw Naima. Wat een luxe. Prachtig en heerlijk. Het appartement was als een sprookje van 1001 nacht. Alles top verzorgd. Erg mooi en comfortabel, midden in de oude stad. Schitterend dakterras, wasmachine, koel-vries combinatie. Mijn partner werd ziek en moest de laatste nacht even naar het ziekenhuis. De communicatie per whatsapp met Tiffany verliep goed. Ze opperde zelfs dat we langer mochten blijven, zodat hij weer kon aansterken. Zeer attent!!! Shokran.

BTW, I never do surveys, but I felt I had to do this one. Naima cooked us breakfast. Great layout. She is super kind and nice. The host was super organized and helpful in the dropoff and finding the house. The house is located at the top of one of the streets that is the most photographed in Chefchaouen. They also helped us schedule a van to go to Tanger. The house is beautiful and the terrace is a great space to view the city. We would definitely stay at this property again. Loved visiting Chefchaouen.

All good - zero issues

La maison est très propre et parfaitement équipée. Le petit déjeuner, fait maison, est un vrai délice. Chaque pièce a été soigneusement pensée et aménagée pour que l'on se sente vraiment à l'aise et comme chez soi. J'ai passé un séjour très agréable grâce à un hôte disponible, attentif et arrangeant.

Cet hébergement mérite véritablement une cote de 10 pour tout. Pour la beauté, l’emplacement, la terrasse et la vue. Tout y est! L’emplacement est superbe. Le Riad à l’intérieur est magnifique et très bien entretenu. La terrasse est confortable avec une vue magnifique. La communication avec l’hôtel était très claire et rapide. Le stationnement est situé à environ 7-10 minutes de marche. Il est possible d’avoir les services d’un porteur pour les bagages.

Ce n’est pas un côté négatif, mais il faut savoir qu’il y a plusieurs étages avec des marches à l’intérieur.

De locatie is echt in het centeum, in de mooiste straat van Chefchaouen. Er is een prachtig dakterras. Ghizlan en Naima zijn erg aardig en we werden hartelijk verwelkomt! Naima heeft voor ons een lekker ontbijtje klaargemaakt.

Er waren veel trappen om er te komen en in het huis waren ook trappen. Je moet goed ter been zijn. Wees daarop voorbereid.

Een prachtig groot huis dat onze verwachtingen overtrof. Een perfect dakterras met wijds uitzicht. Ghizlan en de rest van het team deden echt alles om het je honderd procent naar de zin te maken. De locatie was super centraal en had niet beter gekund om chefchaouen te verkennen. In de ochtend staat er een uitgebreid ontbijt klaar. De communicatie was zeer uitgebreid en nuttig. We hebben de fotograaf en toer geboekt getipt door de eigenaar en het was perfect. Als je tevens van katten houdt zoals wij is het blauwe dorp een sprookje!

Tout était parfait ! La maison est située dans le plus beau quartier, en plein centre de Chefchaouen. Les équipements sont de standing. La terrasse est très agréable. Le petit-déjeuner était très copieux et excellent ! Ce qui est extraordinaire, ce sont les services proposés pour rendre notre séjour des plus paisibles: les transferts en taxi, la visite guidée, le porteur de bagages... La communication était très facile. Merci à toute l'équipe derrière : Ghizlan, Issam, Tiffany et Naima ! Coup de cœur assuré !

What a delightful place to stay. Tucked away on a charming cobbled street and surrounded by friendly neighbors, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. After spending a month and a half traveling through Morocco, we can say with complete confidence that this was the best place we stayed. The house itself is exquisite, with every detail carefully considered—it felt like staying in a contemporary museum. From the wooden doors and tiled accents to the traditional metal lights, each piece was beautifully crafted by local artisans. Our hosts, Sam and Tiffany, were incredibly helpful, assisting us with everything from transportation to Chefchaouen to recommending wonderful local restaurants. Their warmth and passion for the city made us fall in love with Chefchaouen just as much as they have. We would return again in a heartbeat.

At arrival we got help with the luggage. The shower is warm and with good pressure. The beds are clean. In the morning Naima came to make a very good breakfast for us. And she was also nice to our children.

However, we don’t recommend to stay here. There is a strong smell of cats inside the house. We left after one night, even though we booked 3 nights. We checked in and when we entered the house it smelled strongly like cats and air freshener. We asked about this but they said the smell is from the outside. When we went outside we smelled fresh air. Then it started raining and the air outside smelt even better, but inside the cat smell had not changed. We asked the host about this, but she denied the smell. However, we found 14 air refresheners inside the house of which 9 were placed in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. To be clear: we did not walk with shoes in the apartment and kept doors and windows closed. We finally decided to leave after one night because of the smell, and found a good hotel. We notified the host and received a reply which, in our opinion, is too harsh and formal.

Absolutely amazing property, home from home! Beautifully decorated, just as the pictures show, it is old world meets modern comfort perfectly. The staff were brilliant, with excellent communication before the stay to make our arrival smooth. Directions and support to park our rentalcar & then escorted us to the house. Advice & recommendations for walks/food/sightseeing were spot on. And then the breakfast…..oh my goodness: amazing!! Thankyou for a wonderful stay. ❤️❤️❤️

Le riad est vraiment top ! Les prestations et la décoration sont vraiment d'un niveau élevé et très soignés. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour avec une communication constante avant, pendant et après le séjour avec Tiffany qui est d'une grande gentillesse. Le riad est très bien situé, en plein milieu des ruelles animées de Chefchaouen. Il est décoré de très bon goût, avec de l'espace et de l'intimité pour chaque membre de notre groupe. La terrasse a une vue magnifique et est idéalement équipée pour pouvoir en profiter pleinement. Le petit-déjeuner cuisiné et servi sur place par la housekeeper qui a été adorable, est franchement de grande qualité et copieux, Merci encore pour ce très agréable séjour, nous recommandons à 100% ce riad où nous aimerions pouvoir revenir.

Il serait très difficile et peu honnête de notre part de trouver quelque chose à redire. On voit que la propriétaire fait tout, tant au niveau des prestations que de la communication pour que tout soit parfait.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour a dar Lalla naima, le staff était formidable et accueillant tandis que la maison était parfaite et chaleureuse. Le petit déjeuner était servi chaque matin a l'heure et étais délicieux. Et en plus de tout cela, la maison se trouvant dans le cœur de la médina, cela a été très pratique pour toute nos promenades.

The title of this property sums it up perfectly - old world and modern comfort. When we walked out onto the rooftop terrace, the view literally took our breath away. The decor and remodel was so beautiful and very complimentary of Moroccan culture and beauty. We loved Naima’s breakfast both mornings we were there, she is super sweet and kind. We have a boy and girl teenagers and this is their most favorite place they have ever stayed. The location is up a steep set of stairs, with tons of kittens and cats everywhere which my daughter must have taken 100 pictures. The location is right in the heart of the Medina, with so many shops it’s almost overwhelming. As we were walking around, my son said “it feels like we’re walking in an AI reality”. It doesn’t feel real it’s so beautiful. Ghizlan was the house coordinator and she was great and answered all our questions and was very responsive. We had a tour guide named Mou who was so knowledgeable, friendly, and proud of his town and country. Sam and Tiffany also recommended a photographer we used for family photos, and he was great as well! Our favorite restaurant was El Cielo. We watched two sunsets at the Spanish mosque up the hill. The beds were super comfortable, and there showers were hot with good water pressure. A perfect stay thank you so much!!

We were given clear parking instructions and met at our car by a porter to assist with our luggage. The unit is on one of the most beautiful streets in town at the top of a long set of stairs. Very quiet inside. The host was lovely and made us tea on arrival and was flexible with breakfast arrangements. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The mini split in the bedroom was much appreciated for temp control at night. Bed was comfortable with a good pillow selection. Overall, we liked it a lot.

Liked everything but would have appreciated extra coffee grounds for a second pot of coffee in the am.

The house is so well designed and decorated, the location is great and the breakfast is very delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Bellissimo appartamento, situato al centro del paese. La ragazza è venuta a prenderci al parcheggio e ci ha spiegato tutto, davvero molto disponibile! Molto carino anche il servizio della colazione della mattina: la signora è arrivata alle 8.00 e per le 9.00 ci ha fatto trovare la colazione pronta. Tutto perfetto.

A l'approche du séjour Ghizlan vous contacte sur WhatApp, les informations concernant le logement et l'arrivée sont très claires. Ghizlan est venue nous accueillir et nous a conduit au logement avec une personne qui s'est chargé de transporter nos bagages. Le logement est magnifique les photographies fidèles à la réalité, la vue de la terrasse est superbe. Nous avons été accueillis dans la maison par Naima qui nous à préparé un thé à la menthe avec des petits gâteaux. Le logement est très propre et super bien décoré, Sam le propriétaire vous souhaite la bienvenue également sur WhatApp et suit la conversation si vous avait besoin de quoi que ce soit. Les petits déjeuner sont préparés par Naima et sont un vrai régal, merci beaucoup d'avoir accepter de nous servir des sfenjs à notre demande, vous avez fait une heureuse qui à replongé en enfance grâce au souvenir gustatif de ces petits beignets !!

There was clear communication with the manager of the property prior to our arrival. We were met by staff to assist with luggage to our accommodation and were met by the host manager.

Sadly there was a section of path approaching up to our entry that had excrement which did not appear to be feline or canine. The smell and visual was very offensive. It was awful.

Nothing really. They do have a very nice woman named Naima who comes to make you breakfast which might be what some people want, but we preferred to just do it ourselves (which was OK for them too).

Beautifully renovated house in the medina, keeping an old charm while providing modern facilities. We were welcomed by our guest at a nearby square and walked the rest of the way to the house. It's located in a quiet side street, but still conveniently close to the streets leading to the main attractions. The maid came in the morning to prepare fresh breakfast for us.

The house is beautifully decorated, a real blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. You can tell the owners and local builders put a lot of care and effort into every detail. The location is very good, within easy reach of everything. Breakfast was tasty and the cook and host were nice and friendly. The host even arranged a little gift for my friend, for whom the trip was a birthday present.

The house itself is stunning and the team was kind, attentive, and eager to help. However, the stay felt overly controlled and stifling. Before arrival, we received a 1,600-word “manual” filled with rules, many in capital letters, which felt excessive for a hospitality setting. While we understand the need for guidelines, it came across more as a list of demands than a warm welcome. Upon arrival, we were informed that breakfast would be served at 9am, with the cook arriving at 8am and staying in the house until our checkout at 11am. We asked for privacy after breakfast, but were told it wasn’t possible telling us that the cook was very nice and guests love her and that she won’t be on our way. This was not the point, we never questioned anyone’s character or service - this was good, we just questioned the privacy we would have preferred. While the team was respectful and helpful, the setup felt intrusive for what is advertised as a private rental. Also breakfast is typically served from and too time, where the guests should be asked what time they wood I prefer to have it not told when they will have it (they allowed us to have breakfast half hour later but reluctantly as if they were doing us a favour). This approach may work for some, but it should be optional . Hospitality goes both ways, guests’ comfort and privacy matter just as much as house rules. A beautiful stay, but not as relaxing as we had hoped.

It was a wonderful cozy house with so nice people. We were welcomed with good mint tea and Moroccan cookies, and the Moroccan style breakfast next morning was also excellent. They arranged a half day tour and we had a fantastic experience with the guide. The location is also great and it is located at one of the most photogenic paths in the blue city. You can also see the city from the rooftop.

The property is beautiful and there’s been a huge amount of detail in its restoration. The location is perfect (very central) and on one of the most picturesque streets in all the town. Everyone from the host, to the lovely lady who made the amazing breakfast - it really was the perfect stay.

It's a beautiful and modern house, you have all sort of amenities and get to enjoy a relaxing stay in the heart of the medina. We loved the decor and the little things like a notebook on the 1st floor telling you all about the place's history. It just goes to show how much care and dedication was put into this Riad. It's worth the praise and I can't recommend it enough. Kudos to you!

Nothing major to dislike just a constructive feedback here: 1. Although it's mentioned and the host made it clear that the house is located in a mountain city, I strongly recommend those with mobility issue to plan accordingly. We didn't do so and granny was about to pass out once we got there 😁 2. When I first read the list of conditions I found it a bit obnoxious for how long and miticulate it was, but then again the place is worth it therefore as long as you have common sense and good manners, you won't have to worry about a thing 3. The very attentive and nice lady Naima made our breakfast in the morning, everything was fine but during, she remained seated on the sofa next to us almost like a buttler. I'm sure tourists would find this appealing, but for locals we felt a bit awkward and invited her to join in but she politely declined. We would've preferred her to sit with us rather

This beautifully restored and tastefully decorated house is located in heart of the historic town. The rooftop terrace has great views of the town and the surrounding hills. We were greeted at the entrance to the town and led to the house itself. The lady gave us a tour of the property and provided some tips re restaurants etc. In the morning, a lady came to prepare a hearty breakfast for us at a pre-arranged time. It was quite cold when we were there in December, but there was airco/ heating appliances in the bedrooms and adequate warm blankets.

Location was right on the most instagrammable street! Ghizlam who greeted us was great. Breakfast by Naima was amazing. Sam has used a lot of love and effort with local resources to give it a unique touch. He kept in touch from USA via whats app. The terrace was the highlight. It has laundry and a dryer with the other self contained utilities (oven etc;) Since it was at the highest point on the street we had to use a porter (provided by the property) to carry the luggage up.

Be prepared for quite a few steps up to the property.

Sam(Host) and Hostess(Tiffany) are amazingly friendly. From the time I booked, they were on hand to answer any questions - whether about the property or about town of Chefchaouen. Ghizlan - their manager for the property is amazingly friendly too. She greeted us outside the medina and she came with a porter, who carried our bags through the medina. The property is in a place which is one of the photogenic streets in Chaouen. So to get pictures of blue streets, we didn't have to go too far. Their chef, Naima arrives in the morning, prepares the breakfast spread and waits till we are done with the breakfast. So that was quite some treat. On our first morning, we went for a sunrise viewing to Spanish Mosque and by the time we came back, there was this lovely breakfast spread already set up.

This is just a caution - This Dar is in the medina and you get the whole house, along with the terrace. Because of the location, there are stairs to climb to get to the house as well as to go up and down the house. So just beware if you have challenges while climbing/descending stairs.

The house is GORGEOUS! Location can't be beat. The staff is wonderful and attentive. Very cosy and we felt like we were right at home.

The hosts are extremely kind and helpful, and available to help at any moment. the property is in the heart of the old medina which is great. The rooftop of this property and its view is truely spectacular Breakfast that they provide daily is delicious Another thing I truely appreciated is the strong WiFi, they have a space in the house for an office area to sit and work (which is something I needed) and every floor in the property has a strong WiFi connection. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone travelling to Chefchaouen !

The house was beautiful and the staff were amazing. We had an issue at the start with the door to the rooftop terrace not working, so we weren’t able to go up for the sunset view, but the staff came right away to try to fix the problem and did not leave until they were able to open the door to get up. The location was great and the food cooked was wonderful. They helped us celebrate our anniversary which was very thoughtful. The air conditioning worked well in the bedrooms, but it was too hot to hang out in the living room or extra living areas aside from the kitchen as there wasn’t AC elsewhere. Overall, we had a spectacular time and would come back again.

Issam and Ghizlan were great. The house was very nice and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. They also provided recommendations for dinner and we loved Chourafa. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Very nice stay in this beautiful house, right in the middle of the city. The hosts make it easy to reach (5-10 minutes from the parking with someone taking care of your luggages as part of the price of the room) and explain everything in great details. The accomodation is on three levels + a rooftop. Breakfast is nice, and you can always communicate with the hosts easily. In this place, you will get a nice experience of Chaouen while enjoying a comfortable accommodation. We ate at Triana, one of the recommendation of the hosts, and loved it, very nice setting and great food to complement your stay !

We don’t like to have to walk around the house without our own shoes. Te floor was too cold and we are not used to take off our shoes when we arrive to our home neither. We didn’t like the idea of using the slippers available that were used by others.

Everything! Superb location and neighbourhood. Truly living up to its listing name, it has modern and complete facilities to make our stay very much comfortable, while concurrently every details of this place exudes Chefchaouen’s old world charms. Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Incredible view from the rooftop. We had a really lovely family time during our stay here. Beyond that, Sam, Ghizlan and Naima were exceptionally helpful and kind. We genuinely felt that we were cared for. Hidden gem that we would definitely recommend!

You cannot have asked for or received more. The hotel is located on the street that’s among the top (if not the number one) picture-taking spot. The rooms have multiple levels perfect for families with kids. Newly and exquisitely decorated. The owner and manager texted with me any time during the day (by that, I mean 24 hours) to help with anything.

Modern & nice appartment matching with Chefchaouen taste. Ghislan, our host, was just perfect to welcome us at arrival. Breakfast carefully prepared by a local nice lady. Very good location in the middle of the souk, good access to the main square and cascade scenic point by foot.

Our home away from home in Chefchaouen was everything we hoped it would be! Location could not be better: close to everything, and on one of the pretties streets in town; comfort level was unmatched: the house had everything we could possibly need/want; the young lady who greeted us was extremely helpful throughout our stay; the breakfast was so elaborate that we had to ask to downsize on variety; and last but not least, our hosts - the nicest people - were in constant contact with us making sure we were well taken care of, which we we were 100% of the time! Thank you, Chefchaouen's "Old World Charm, Modern Comfort" team!!!!

A very well-maintained and cozy house, which is easily accessible, and Tiffany has a great team there to make us feel at home and show around Chefchaouen. The terrace is something that you should not miss while you are there.

Very stylish and comfortable house in a heart of old Medina with nice terrace and beautiful view of blue city. kitchen has all the necessary equipment. beds and showers are comfortable and modern. It is best location for photo-shooting and nice walk through old blue city with souvenirs and art shops. We had a very warm welcome with very nice moroccan tea. In the morning we had a varied and tasty Moroccan breakfast. Amazing location and very modern house in Moroccan style. one of the places that forever will be in your memory.
