It is central & close to small, convenient shops for essential items. Also, Sainsbury's is within walking distance. Convenient for walking into central St Albans without a car, if you want to avoid parking fees on an evening out.
The parking is in a parallel street which can means extra walking with heavy luggage or shopping. The front door locked fine but the main building entrance doors do not lock. There are enough facilities inside but the clothes horse needs replacing. One more fan would have been nice in the hot weather.
Nothing. Premises looked nothing like the online pictures.
Premises insecure, with sticky tape holding the door lock together (as per picture) Stains over the furniture. Half eaten food left in cupboards. Biscuits underneath the bed sofa. Piss stains on the quilt. It was basically like a very poor youth hostel

Bright and spacious 2 bed in a great St Albans location. The flat is beautifully decorated, clean, and well looked after, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was smooth and clear, and check-in was simple with easy instructions. I would happily stay here with my family again.
Location was good, easy to find It was spacious
We felt that the place needed attention- door handle missing on one of the bedrooms,(my son got trapped ) uncomfortable sofa and not big enough comfy seating for 5, mouldy bathroom. Very untidy garden.
Loved how peaceful and relaxing the area and the property was
The beds if it was quiet ...
The location. Awful directions saying take the alley to the left but depending on how you've parked left is subjective and there's an alley right next to your car and at the property number where the car park is based so it felt totally logical to be using the alley of number 66 especially when you've reversed into the space and it's on the left. They need to change their directions and if they aren't going to then they need to ensure that there's no chance of anyone using the alley of number 66 seeing as there's no lighting and it's very uneven with lots of holes. You can't see a thing. We arrived at 11pm. Poor directions which led to us going the wrong way, falling on a gap in an unlit garden and going to hospital. That wasn't even the worst part, as someone who is a light sleeper I took my usual earplugs and still didn't get more than an hour's sleep each night due to the upstairs flat banging at all hours. I messaged the host and did not get a reply. Genuinely wanted to cry which may sound extreme but if you've had no sleep then you'll understand. It ruined my weekend because I felt too unwell due to fatigue to continue with our plans. I felt robbed of the booking and am in a dispute. The review score felt generous but there's plenty of poor reviews on this property where people have criticised many aspects but still awarded a 7 for some reason so I will not do that. And that says a lot for me because I genuinely never leave bad reviews. The property itself is okay. No facilities but none expected I guess. Beds were comfy. Worn in parts. Bedroom door handle fell off meaning I literally couldn't get out of the room. Not very clean. The building it's situated in looks a bit sketchy. When we got there there was a random guy outside in a high Vis jacket who told us the property was full and said we needed to go to right (opposite of directions).
The flat was very clean, nicely designed, felt homely, safe and secure. The beds were comfy and there was very good wardrobe space and plenty of hangers. The host was so kind and went above and beyond with any issues that came up as we had to phone her late at night to find the lock box. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of space/cupboards as we needed to cook as we are coeliacs. The bathroom and shower were clean and were not cramped. We were very glad we had booked to stay here and would come again.
We would have liked a small milk pan/ saucepan for our stay as all the pans were much larger. The landlord owned the house behind and the parking was in the front garden of this house which was hard to find at first. The host was helpful in this respect and helped us find where we were to park, which a short 1 min walk away and was safe and secure. On loading and unloading our suitcases we moved the car to the entrance of the flat, as there were people living in other flats and their cars were sometimes there.
Lovely little flat, great value! Quiet neighbourhood, however being in a flat you can hear others, which is expected but not much fuss at all. Will say its very clean!! Lovely hosts and easy to book, thankyou again
Nothing
The facilities where ok
Tv worked but had no antenna so had to mess around with apps so we could watch something, room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived although it did get sorted promptly, constant comings and goings in other rooms, doors sellotaped open so never felt secure didn't wanna risk leaving anything valuable in the property and had to wrestle with the kitchen window to close it, door handle came off in my daughters hand in the bedroom, car had to be parked round the block which is just an inconvenience considering its advertised as on site parking, all in all it was an ok stay but I definitely was deceived by the pictures on booking.com and won't be returning here in a hurry
Distance to city and walking tracks
No
Super lokalizacja i WiFi! Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni!
Decent comfy bed. Bathroom had a bath. It was okay, but I wouldn't stay there again. Parade of shops/takeaways within 2 mins walk if you want it. Communication good, with lockbox combination for getting key.
Didn't like the fittings and deco style. Too clean, shiny, chintzy, basically totally lacking in character or warmth. Bit noisy from people driving by, talking outside etc, also being next to a primary school (I don't mind that though, the sound of kids playing is one of life's joys). Main building door lock broken/taped up and always open; door to flat secure though. Chose the less chintzy bedroom, but it was plagued by a security light outside the window going on every few minutes the first night. They need blackout curtains there. I worked at the dining table, but the lounge lighting is dim, so I had to bring a lamp from the bedroom. Location is safe, but unattractive. It's an infill development accessed via a narrow driveway. Zero food/condiments in the kitchen, but I guess that's the way with urban stays. Toilet flush a bit temperamental. Stool in main chintzy bedroom is broken (not by me). Windows are a bit iffy. Handles don't work properly, and might be easily left open by accident. Kitchen has no curtains/blinds for privacy, as it's overlooked by lots of other properties. 'Garden' is not somewhere you'd want to sit. Massive glass table in middle of lounge is a constant worry. No need for it, just gets in the way.
Bright and clean, worth the money.
not a black out curtain.
We lived everything about this property, it was a lovely stay cannot recommend enough
Nothing i didn't like
The place was nice had everything we needed
Very very noisy neighbours and what i believe was a woman screaming wednesday morning i was concerned
Apartment was clean and the facilities were mostly good.
The apartment felt tired and could do with a lick of paint and some refreshed furniture.
Good amenities, close to a nice park and great position to get to Watford.
Better description on how to find it. Found the parking, but needed a reminder of the number of the property. Plus the number could also be placed near the doors of the property.
Sofa uncomfortable. Bed clean and comfortable. Good value for money.
Nice flat, good communication, 10 mins from city train station
No fault of the apartment but the upstairs neighbours are very loud. Also smell of weed in the bedroom at side of property
Location was difficult to find and off road. The bedroom smelt strongly of cannibis. We opened the window but the smell was clearly coming from inside. This we found unacceptable. We left the window open for around an hour and managed to remove the smell. The sofabed was not suitable for adults and only really one person rather than two.
The booking was straight forward and the host was very helpful. The location was excellent and the parking was very useful. The property was very well equipped, with good internet access and Wi-Fi and very comfortable!
The lamp in the living room/lounge was broken at the bulb socket and it has live electric wires exposed where the bulb should fit. We unplugged the lamp and did not use it, for safety reasons.
Really nicely decorated and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen. Great wi-fi - not sure why their own profile says there is none? Two convenience stores within 100yds.
Some of the stuff said in previous reviews about the first impressions from outside are understandable, but having stayed there I would stay again. Maybe more privacy with net curtains would be nice as you are on ground floor.
Cosy nice flat as described
Overall clean, but bathroom bit damp smelling and possibly need change of extractor as some places bit mouldy. Rest Kitchen and everything else clean. Some difficulty in finding the flat as behind main road, but after that convenient location for me.
Very comfortable and modern ground floor apartment with lovely furnishings. Like home from home.
The garden needs some attention. See photo. The seating area only consists on 3 chairs (we are a family of 5) and full of weeds. Also the Freeview kept losing signal, turned off and back on at the main socket both mornings but made no difference.
Lovely clean and well equipped, great place!
The parking
Spacious clean quiet location. Nice to also have an outdoor space to eat and relax. Equipped kitchen and bathroom toiletries provided. Responsive to any queries raised. About 25 minutes walk to central Station Alban's.
Lovely to have a morning coffee area outside. Very quiet street.
Parking was on a different street (not clear on the booking page on the website), and not accessible on arrival, meaning we had to park the first night on a private street. Landlord quickly rectified this the next morning though, and was very pleasant and friendly. There were 3 of us booked to stay and only 2 towels. After I got no response by text about this I gave up, unfortunately.
Location
fairly basic and parking wasn't really close to the accommodation so loading and taking out luggage was a little inconvenient. We didn't use the patio/terrace and that was needing to be tidied up.
I had an excellent stay at this property! It was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The host was friendly and helpful, enhancing our experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
Lovely sized rooms All amenities needed Quiet Outside space
Sofa was very uncomfortable Beds and pillows also very uncomfortable Bath plug didn’t work properly Opened food left in kitchen cupboard
The location was good and the property was clean and functional. I liked that the kitchen was separate from the living room, which meant we could use the kitchen without waking the person on the sofa bed in the living room.
There was no sign up saying "Sunshine Place" so it was more difficult to find than it should have been. I couldn't find out where to put the rubbish. One of the mugs was so badly chipped that it leaked.
The place was clean and spacious, there were clear instructions for checking in and the decoration was nice. It was a taxi or car ride away from the city.
Parking was tricky, as a result I wouldn't recommend it if you are traveling with children. The building was strange, had a few people knocking on the door looking for other people during the two night stay.
Excellent value for money and a great sized space.
Mattresses could be more comfortable.
Reasonably comfortable, well equipped. Clean
Location and building itself felt like a perfect setup for human trafficking. Shower head was for washing ass.
Well maintained and stocked property, with attentive staff. Location was easily accessible and added bonus was having access to the garden.
Nothing, the staff was attentive and also quickly turned around any requests or queries
Very spacious and decorated well. Parking available just around the corner. Good location for Warner Brothers Studio Tour, only 20 minutes drive. 30 minute walk to the train station into London.
The shower was a bit of a struggle. It fell off when you turned it on and off and was very hot. Came across a couple of hairs in the bedding and in the bathroom. Garden could do with a couple more chairs and tending to as we sat out quite a bit with the weather being nice.
Nice decor
No drying machine, No salt & pepper and oil for cooking
It served a purpose and was close to where we where working
Parking, tobacco smell, uncomfortable bed
Lovely flat, very nice and comfortable. Owner was very help when needed, we had a great time
No parking outside property
Very nice, super clean and spacious apartment. Well equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. Good for individuals, great for families. Good connection by bus to city centre. I can recommend it to everyone for a pleasant and peaceful stay in St Albans.
Bus to the city centre doesn't run very often at some hours.
The flat was very spacious and clean!
Very good price quality.
Some minor tips: Hard to lock the back door. Some guidelines to treat the bin are welcome.
No coffee machine and fire alarm system went on in the hall in the middle of the night and no fire ore smoke.
The apartment was clean and cozy. It has everything you need for a short or a long stay. The management is prompt in responding to any queries or fix any issues.
extremely clean and all on one level. nice and safe and easy for children.
Some basic items weren’t there eg. plug or washing up bowl for kitchen, cafetière, ice tray, colander, high chair. We were able to borrow these items from friends nearby fortunately. The owners had supplied a cot and sheet though which was great. Bed and sofa not very comfy but it was fine for a short stay and we had a nice time.
the decoration was lovely! had everything i needed.
nothing to complain about at all.
Everything was amazing Very clean Amazing Decoration
Welcoming land lady, clean comfortable and lovely furniture.
Mattress in main bedroom was a little tilted - maybe bed rungs need to be arranged. For the rest excellent stay place is big and quiet and well appointed.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this property it’s a lot more spacious than expected , location is peaceful and located say 4 min drive from ST Albans Center , My hosts where wonderful polite accommodating and extremely welcoming , It has everything required for a family and a great cooker and large table , actually 5 people can stay here very comfortably, was very clean and tidy and the added bonus of a garden would be lovely in the summer especially if you have small children for the price this is a lovely comfortable stay
Comfortable, quite and spotless place with a garden.
