I have stayed in Sri Lanka for the last 11 days in different hotels and this one by far has the best hospitality. The owner and his son are so kind. They helped me with so many things, where do I start? Firstly, I'm a Muslim and needed to pray but I didn't have a prayer mat, they arranged it for me. They proactively booked Colombo bus tickets for me. Cooked food with less spice as per my request. When I was going out, they asked me if I needed umbrella and gave it to me. I overstayed few hours after my checkout and they were so kind to accomodate it. Finally, when I was leaving, the owner saw that I was carrying a half empty water bottle and asked if I needed water and gave a bottle of water for free. He even followed up with me on Whastapp to check if I arrived home safely! They are just so kind and hospitable! This place has my highest recommendation! You can book this place without any worries and you will get the best of service.

Immediate attention to our needs. Very friendly and dutiful staff. Food was excellent and tailored to our needs. Helped us in arranging special food options as requested,without hesitation. Parking facility throughout the stay. Aruna was an excellent guest friendly person. Rooms / toilets were very clean.

Very warm welcome and exceptional service. We had a short 1-night stay here and it was perfect. The staff gave us some very good tips to visit a tea factory and we loved it! It’s a little outside the center which makes it much more quiet than staying in the busy area.

Lovely hotel, good facilities. I was staying in their lake view room, which was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean.

Nuwara Eliya as a location didn't meet my expectation, the weather is harsh and the people are not so respectful, I was cat called on the road. Nothing much to do and extremely gloomy. The hotel is very good though.

The hotel was really nice, and the staff were very supportive. He guided us during our trip, and he’s such a humble person as well as a great chef! The food was delicious. Overall, a fantastic hotel.

La camera era fredda, abbiamo patito davvero molto freddo tutta notte. Al risveglio c’era talmente tanta umidità che i vetri della finestra era bagnati internamente e il pigiama/ magliette che non erano in valigia erano fradicie.

De gastvrijheid van Aruna was onbetaalbaar. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen tot aan het einde voelde het zó ontspannen. Hij is behulpzaam en vriendelijk zonder opdringerig te zijn. We waren te laat om onze trein tickets te boeken naar Ella, maar hij heeft elke dag, ‘s avonds tot laat en ‘s ochtends vroeg online gekeken of er toch geen nieuwe tickets beschikbaar waren. Eindstand kon hij op het laatste nippertje 2 plekjes voor ons bemachtigen. Verder super lekker ontbijt en avondeten hier!

Het kan hier best fris worden en veel regenen, wat uiteraard geen verantwoordelijkheid is van het hotel, maar hier zijn ze niet helemaal op voorzien. Er lag maar een dun lakentje en een dekentje en er is geen verwarming om kleren te laten drogen.

Amazing service, great foods, and rooms, all furtuniture are just beautiful. Though it's far from a central city area, you don't have to look for a resturant. They have great selection of menu. This area is very chilly, thus hot shower saved me:) Want to visit here again with more relaxed schedule...

We boekten de goedkoopste kamer. Prijs/kwaliteit is prima. We raden aan een luxere kamer te boeken, die kamers hebben prachtig uitzicht over t meer. Mooie wandeling gemaakt vanaf t hotel oa langs t meer. Hoteleigenaar is zeer behulpzaam en aardig. Regelde voor ons treintickets naar Ella, héél fijn!!!! Nuwara Eliya is beslist de moeite waard. Wij bezochten de theeplantage Elookabie en genoten aansluitend van een high-tea in t Grand Hotel. Beide geweldige ervaringen.

Tuvimos frío en la habitación fuera niebla que no vimos el lago. Escaleras para llegar a la habitación. Un poco lentos para dar de cenar . Muy .ala carretera para llegar tiene un gran desnivel.

La struttura è una casa in stile coloniale molto bella ed elegante. Il gestore ci ha offerto del tè appena arrivati e ci ha cucinato la cena la sera che siamo rimasti lì ed era buonissima. Ho apprezzato molto che il gestore ci ha contattati il giorno del nostro arrivo per sapere a che ora saremmo arrivati e se necessitavamo di un tuk tuk che ci venisse a prendere in stazione

In camera e nella struttura in generale, la sera fa un po' freddo e non c'è il riscaldamento. Noi siamo stati una sola notte ma per un pernottamento più lungo occorre avere abbigliamento pesante, altrimenti si soffre un po" la temperatura serale

Ci ha accolto e fatto colazione un signore molto gentile e ci ha aiutato a organizzare tutti gli spostamenti sia per il centro che poi per la stazione. Inoltre si è reso disponibile a farci la colazione presto.

La struttura è in una posizione un po’ isolata e non tutti i Tuk tuk ci arrivano. Inoltre è molto umida e un po’ fredda.

El personal muy acogedor y la cama muy cómoda! Me tocó un día muy frío y el agua caliente salía rápido y estupendamente! Por ese lado genial! Además si necesitas ir al centro, te ayudan con el traslado.

Al estar en el sótano, el frío se notaba muchísimo y a pesar de tener dos mantas, pasé frío por la noche. Y que está un poco más alejado de lo que pensaba, con difícil acceso en coche.

De kamer op één verdieping onder de receptie was koud en enorm vochtig. Er was slechts een dun dekentje wat niet genoeg was tegen de kou. Er was geen uitleg bij de kamers waardoor sommigen een koude douche hadden. Er moest blijkbaar eerst op een knopje gedrukt worden voor de boiler. Hetzelfde gold voor de wifi. Daar moest ook eerst op een knopje gedrukt worden waar we pas bij vertrek achterkwamen.

- The owner was extremely friendly, very accommodating, and provided exceptional service. We arrived late at night, and the owner personally came to pick us up by car, yet only charged us the same as a tuk-tuk fare - The food was absolutely delicious, all personally prepared by the owner. Highly recommend trying the English Breakfast, Seafood Noodles, and Fried Rice. They also made us an Egg Kottu, even though it wasn’t listed on the menu, based on our request. - The food prices were very reasonable — truly great value for money. - The owner also arranged a tuk-tuk for us to explore the beautiful surrounding areas. The tuk-tuk driver was very helpful, especially during our visit to Lovers Leap Waterfall. - Last but not least, the hotel was lovely with a beautiful ambience and stunning views, particularly of Gregory Lake, which was simply breathtaking.

Wunderschönes Haus mit Blick auf den See. Sehr lieber Gastgeber, leckeres Frühstück. Wir waren zum Neujahrs Festival da, daher war der Preis wohl etwas höher und im Ort herrschte Ausnahmezustand! Besichtigung einer Teeplantage ist absolut empfehlenswert, auch der "lovers leap', dieser ist vom Haus zu sehen. Warme Dusche oder Bad war auch wunderbar!

From the time we checked in, Aruna and his team warmly welcomed us and escorted us throughout their stay. The rooms were outstanding and very reasonably priced during a seasonal period. Aruna also arranged a travelling to see many places in Nuwaraeliya. My wife and kid definitely enjoyed the food and the cozy ambiance of the property. Well maintained and very close to all sites in Nuwaraeliya.

Notre séjour à Terrabella à Nuwara Eliya a été une véritable parenthèse de tranquillité et de confort. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec un délicieux thé, ce qui a parfaitement lancé notre expérience. L'hôtel, situé dans un cadre pittoresque, offre une atmosphère chaleureuse et une vue imprenable sur les collines environnantes. Les chambres étaient spacieuses, bien décorées et très propres, offrant tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour agréable. Le personnel était incroyablement accueillant, toujours souriant et disponible pour répondre à toutes nos demandes. Le restaurant de l'hôtel mérite également une mention spéciale. Nous y avons pris plusieurs repas, et à chaque fois, les plats étaient préparés avec soin et parfaitement savoureux. Que ce soit le petit-déjeuner et le dîner, la qualité de la cuisine était irréprochable et nous avons vraiment apprécié la diversité des options proposées. En résumé, Terrabella à Nuwara Eliya est un lieu où l'on se sent rapidement chez soi, grâce à son ambiance conviviale et à son service impeccable. Que ce soit pour un court séjour ou plus long, cet hôtel est un excellent choix pour découvrir la région tout en profitant d'un confort de qualité. Nous le recommandons vivement !

Schone frisse mooie kamer, badkamer. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer. Prachtig gelegen. Loop vooral eens een keer gewoon door het dorpje op een ochtend. Bij een oudere dame mochten we haar huisje komen bewonderen. Bij het schooltje mochten we binnen komen. Geweldig. Dan zie je de echte trationele Srilankaanse cultuur.

Super Hotel, Preis Leistung perfekt, tolles Essen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Es fehlten auf dem Balkon leider Sitzmöglichkeiten.

De gastheer is erg vriendelijk en helpt je graag met wat er allemaal te doen is in de omgeving, helpt je met een reservering maken bij een restaurant en het boeken van trein tickets. Het ontbijt is goed en lekker en de kamers zijn schoon.

Het kan erg koud worden in de nacht. Eén dikkere deken of een kleine verwarming zou dan fijn zijn. Wel wat lastiger bereikbaar door de slechte weg

La gentillesse du personnel, vous organisera le trajet en tuktuk pour aller à la gare prendre le train pour Ella. Il a essayé en vain de nous trouver des tickets, finalement en allant tôt à 7:30 vous pouvez encore trouver pas mal de tickets sur place. Cuisine vraiment excellente ! La propreté nickel et lit correct.

Il est vrai que la vue est un peu gâchée par le pillone électrique mais ça reste sympa. Un peu froid la nuit, une couverture en plus serait sympa. À noter que si vous voulez faire une grasse matinée passez votre chemin, le système de pompage de l’eau se met en route sous la bâtiment à 6:30…

Le personnel ne parle pas bien Anglais, difficile de communiquer. Au restaurant, on nous a servi nos plats en décalé, ce qui fait qu'il a fallu réchauffer les 1ere assiettes servies. Nous avons entendu de la musique et des bruits métalliques toute la nuit ...

进入酒店的路实在是太难走了，要在很挤的小路上走很久，房子还正正的夹在两个很离谱的超级大斜坡中间。一楼的房间就像是住在地下室一样。附近似乎有一个酒吧，一直到很晚了都很吵。

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei jeglichen Fragen. Das Frühstück ist liebevoll zubereitet und sehr lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

It was very clean, everything seems to be new and well-maintained. We had dinner there and it was delicious!

Standard rooms may experience problems with wi-fi, it gets cold at night and hot water in the shower is pretty limited. Note that the hotel is remote from the city centre.

Huiselijke sfeer. Comfortabele bedden. Zeer flexibele service, fijne uitbaters.

Koude en vochtige atmosfeer. Een chauffage zou erg fijn zijn.

Da ich eine gesundheitliche Notlage im Terrabella hatte, ging alles andere etwas unter. In dieser Situation war Gastgeber Aruna und ein Freund des Hauses, der ein Tuk Tuk fährt, eine unglaubliche Hilfe. Aruna rief die Ambulanz, er und sein Freund begleiteten mich in die Klinik, blieben stundenlang um das Verwaltungsprozedere zu erledigen, sprachen mit dem Personal, versorgten mich mit Wasser... Nachts um 1 Uhr könnte ich abgeholt werden und beide kamen dazu wieder. Ich war soo dankbar und bin es weiterhin. Wunderbare, freundliche Menschen! Das Essen war köstlich, alles sauber, das Haus etwas kühl gestaltet, der letzte Rest des Weges etwas abenteuerlich. Ich werde Terrabella nicht vergessen!

Terrabella is a little treasure in Nuwara Eliya The manager there is the most kind, generous and funny guy! He made it really special for us regardless of the bad weather we got in this town(as expected because is the highest town of Sri Lanka in altitude. This “little England” town is indeed like England weather wise. We had dinner in the hotel, all prepared by the manager. Was delicious and very good price. Breakfast also delicious. The manager also helped us with arranging transport for our next location. the hotel decor takes you to England with a big fire place and a communal area for guests.

The washroom smelled a bit damp but with the high humidity in the town is to be expected.

WiFi on lower rooms but did get offer to move for one night which was appreciated but declined by us in the end

Wij zaten in de kamer beneden, waar de wifi niet werkt.

Außergewöhnlich nette Menschen dort, die sehr um die Gäste bemüht sind. Einschließlich des dazugehörigen TutTuk Fahrers, der eine wirklich gute Rundtour mit uns gemacht hat. Wir mussten am Abend die Ambulanz kommen lassen und wurden ins Krankenhaus gefahren. Der Hotelier und TuktukFahrer waren die ganze Zeit an userer Seite, haben übersetzt und waren um uns besorgt und bemüht. Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auf Wunsch gibt es eine Heizung. Der Blick auf den See: ein bisschen was ist zu sehen... Frühstück und Abendessen reichlich und lecker.

Besonders gutes Frühstück und sehr gut ausgestattetes und sauberes Zimmer. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Nothing at all.

So the list of items which went wrong: 1. The staff introduced himself as the owner and was helping me with the bags when the owner called me and it was a nightmare as we were three girls 2. The geyser wasn’t working and nuwara eliya was very cold and it was raining. Had to take a shower using the water from the kettle 3. The wifi was not working, room does not look like the pictures, the owner is not at all cooperative. Said sit at the reception and use the wifi if needed. 4. The conversion rate he used was for the black market far more than the real rate in Nuwara Eliya so that I pay him extra. 5. When i asked for water he said it is chargeable. And did not provide me with water. 6. When i asked for a tooth brush, he gave me one brush for three people. I’m not sure of the expectation which was to share brushes

Det var väldigt fint och nybyggt.

Vi hade bokat ett rum för 3 vuxna och en 14-åring. När vi kom fick vi ett rum med en stor dubbelsäng och en enkelsäng. Ägaren hävdar att Kingsize säng rymmer 3 vuxna vilket jag inte varit med om någon annanstans. Vi fick hyra ett rum till på plats. Det är ett nybygge och området var bara några hus och låg en bit utanför stan så inte mycket att se. Den fina sjöutsikten kunde man se från en speciell position i trappan.
