Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet und man hatte die Wahl zwischen Sri Lankan Frühstück und English Breakfast. Wir wurden extrem herzlich willkommen geheißen und es wurde sich jederzeit darum bemüht, uns jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen und unseren Aufenthalt „in a home away from home“ so gemütlich wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir würden am liebsten gar nicht mehr weiterziehen! Tausend Dank

We loved the Sri lanakan breakfast. We absolutely loved the attic room overlooking the lake. Waking up to that beautiful morning view right from our bed was truly special.

Just a small note: there’s a carnival near the lake, so you can hear some music in the evenings. The host informed us about it at check-in and even provided earplugs, which was very thoughtful and helpful.

Very friendly owner and an amazing view. Would definetly recommend going here!

Super friendly host

Il ragazzo che ci ha raccolto è stato super gentile e disponibile (ci ha avvisato in anticipo che ci sarebbe stata una festa in città e perciò avremmo potuto essere disturbati). Colazione buona sono stati gentili ad anticiparla per venire incontro alle nostre esigenze. Bella vista sul lago.

Stanza fredda e molto umida, però di notte abbiamo dormito bene perché sono fornite coperte adeguate.

La habitación de dos alturas es preciosa y con vistas fantásticas al lago. El dueño es encantador y está pendiente de todo, nos dio recomendaciones para comer e incluso varios dias antes me escribió para decirme que había fiestas en la ciudad y que quizás habría música por la noche, cosa que ni notamos.

El baño, es muy incómodo para ducharse.

The host was really helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was really lovely.

There were no curtains in the upstairs room with the double bed so it got light very early. Also there was a very loud music event until 11pm. We slept well after that, though.

We had the best time staying here! The host family was so kind and helpful. They made us feel right at home. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The home-cooked breakfast was amazing and huge. We loved learning about the local area from them. We strongly recommend staying here if you visit

Excellent host, very hepful and responsive. Anything you need you can message anytime through WhatsApp. Very friendly gave us tea on arrival and lovely homecooked breakfast in the morning with either english or sri lankan breakfast. Room was spotless, with amazing views of lake gregory. There was 3 of us and 2 double beds. An extra room was offered to us at a big discount on arrival, which we need. Highly recommend you stay here in Nuwara Eliya.

This is one of the best places I stayed so far. The Host was very warm and friendly & kind enough to upgrade to Lake view room which was spectacular. Amazing view and the entire place felt so calm & cozy. If you are looking for a stay in Nuwara Eliya this is the perfect one.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la chambre donnant sur le lac. On se sentait dans un cocon, c’était très agréable ! La localisation du logement est vraiment chouette aussi. Nous avons tout fait à pied et c’était très bien. Et sans oublier l’hôte qui nous a très bien accueilli, et bien conseillé. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans la maison de l’hôte, c’était très appréciable !

Être prudent : l’escalier pour monter à l’étage de la chambre est très pentu et étroit…

This is one of the best property I have ever stayed in. The lake view rooms are amazing! Would love to watch sunrise or sunset from here! The host is very welcoming. It is very near to the lake and most of the places are walkable. Would definitely recommend this stay. Oh and the breakfast was amazing!

It had a nice vibe to the place with great views over Lake Gregory. A little walk into town, but not too bad. Delicious breakfast and host was very helpful.

Die nette und zuvorkommende Art unseres Hosts. Für den Preis darf man nicht zu viel erwarten. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich beengt. Zwei Koffer offen zu platzieren erfordert etwas Kreativität. Durch die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit wird alles schnell etwas stockig.

The location was great, lovely view of the lake and walking distance to restaurants. The decor was very stylish and cosy. The breakfast was also really tasty. Host was very friendly and understanding, he gave us an upgrade to a bigger room with a private bathroom as well as lot of good tips and recommendations.

Unfortunately there was a local carnival on during our stay so was quite loud well into the night but this affects the whole valley and is not the fault of the hotel. Host also warned us about it and provided earplugs which was nice.

The location of the place and the rooms were very pretty, with amazing view. The best thing about the stay was the host who was following up since 3 days before our visit and made sure we reached the location with best possible options available and ensured we explored all the places by guiding us to them. Must visit for the location, the view, and if you want your Sri Lanka trip to be smooth.

Wir hatten einen rundum sehr schönen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich, sodass man sich direkt wohlgefühlt hat. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Gastgeber der unglaublich hilfsbereit und engagiert ist. Als wir etwas in einem Taxi vergessen hatten, hat er uns sofort unterstützt und sich darum gekümmert. Sogar mit etwas geliehenem Geld hat er uns in der Situation ausgeholfen. Das war wirklich nicht selbstverständlich und hat uns sehr geholfen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist insgesamt gepflegt und in einem guten Zustand, zeigt aber an manchen Stellen, wie etwa den Fenstern, leichte Gebrauchsspuren. Das hat unseren Aufenthalt jedoch in keiner Weise beeinträchtigt. Insgesamt eine sehr positive Erfahrung mit einem außergewöhnlich hilfsbereiten Host!

Obiekt położony bardzo blisko jeziora. Smaczne śniadania, do wyboru śniadanie angielskie bądź lankijskie. Gospodarz bardzo uprzejmy i pomocny.

Minusem była bardzo duża wilgoć w pokoju. Rozumiemy klimat w tym mieście jednak było to dość uciążliwe że kołdry, poduszki i wszystkie nasze rzeczy następnego dnia były całe wilgotne.

L'hôte était très accueillant, arrangeant et sympathique. La chambre très jolie, on n'a pas eu de chance avec la pluie et le brouillard, on n'a pas pu profiter de la vue.

My stay here was unforgettable. Leslie is an exceptional host, attentive and genuinely makes you feel at home. The place is cozy, spotless, and perfectly suited my vacation plans. The sunrise over the mountains was magical, and the homely Sri Lankan breakfast was to die for. Easily one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I’d come back in a heartbeat.

I like almost everything but could improve the pillows.

We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen. De kamers zijn klein, zoals afgebeeld. Het is wat gehorig vanuit de andere kamer maar wij hadden gelukkig geen rumoerige buren :) Het ontbijt was heel goed en compleet. Ontzettend goede service over bezienswaardigheden en zelfs onze treinkaartjes werden last minute nog geregeld. Helemaal top.

The location is brilliant. It is 5 min walk to Gregory lake. The views from the rooms are amazing. The facilities were superb with hot water all day. Beds were clean and well maintained. The host made incredible and delicious food for me. He also arranged for tuk tuk to take me around everywhere. As a solo female traveller, id highly recommend Rustique House to anyone coming to Nuwara Eliya.

È stato uno splendido soggiorno nella casa di Shan. Al nostro check in ci ha permesso di soggiornare in una camera più bella. Disponeva di due letti matrimoniali su due livelli. Colazione ottima nella cucina della mamma di Shan. Accoglienza eccezionale e disponibilità su tutti i fronti.

This place is wonderful, the owner was lovely and helped us find a tuk tuk driver for the day to see the sights. He upgraded our room and provided a good breakfast in the morning. Lovely home stay feel!

Es war sehr persönlich und schön eingerichtet, der Host ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei Ankunft bekommt man sogar zwei Google Maps Karten Links auf denen alle Aktivitäten und die besten Restaurants markiert sind. Die Aussicht vom Haus aus ist sehr beeindruckend und man erreicht die Stadt fußläufig sehr leicht.

Durch die einfach verglasten Fenster kann es etwas kälter werden in der Nacht. Mit einer zusätzlichen Decke ist das Problem aber schnell gelöst!

The property was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The host was fantastic. Super helpful and very polite. It’s a great place to stay and would highly recommend! We had a room with the view and it was incredible. The location meant that it is a short walk to town but tuk tuks are readily available. We walked and it was an easy and nice walk. The lake is even closer. Will definitely be staying again on our next visit.

La casa es muy bonita, excelente, muy buen trato, vistas preciosa al lago, almuerzo completo. Se ofrecieron a llevarnos a la estación de tren sin problema, es una familia encantadora. A hidden gem in Nuwara Eliya. The owner is the kindest, most accommodating and helpful host we have come across in many months of travelling. The accommodation is very comfortable and spotlessly clean, one of the rooms also has a view of the lake too which is great. He helped us organise a tuk tuk tour of the local area to see the tea plantations and waterfalls, this tour was excellent and much better value than those listed online. The breakfast is delicious and great for vegetarians.

Jedno z lepszych miejsc jakie spotkaliśmy podczas podróży po Sri Lance. Jeżeli jesteś w Newara Eliya to polecam zatrzymać się w tym miejscu. Przede wszystkim gospodarz jest bardzo miły i pomocny. Powitał nas herbatą i zaproponował wyższy standard pokoju z widokiem na jezioro za niewielką dopłatą. Śniadanie było naprawdę bardzo dobre (do wyboru śniadanie Lankijskie lub angielskie- my wybraliśmy Lankijskie i to było 10/10). Pokój był bardzo czysty, świeża i pachnąca pościel. Najbardziej urzekł nas widok na jezioro.

Jedynym minusem była muzyka która grała z pobliskiego wesołego miasteczka, ale to nie była wina obiektu. Gospodarz uprzedził nas o tym, że będzie to trwało do ok. 22 i tak było.

M'ha agradat moltíssim tot. El Lesli era el nostre amfitrió, podem dir que el millor amfitrió que hem tingut mai a cap lloc. Sempre va estar molt pendent de nosaltres, de que ens sentissim com a casa i es preocupava que tot anés bé. Només arribar ens va oferir tot un material que ha preparat ell amb recomanacions per visitar llocs i amb restaurant deliciosos. Sempre amb un somriure a la cara t'ajudava amb tot el que podia. Tenia detalls fantàstics, com tenir-nos encesa la llar de foc per quan arribéssim després d'estar tot el dia visitant llocs amb un temps fred i plujós, preparar-nos sempre que volguéssim un bon té i fer-nos uns deliciosos esmorzars. A més, teníem agafada una habitació petita i només arribar ens va oferir canviar-nos a una habitació millor per una mica més de diners, molt pocs, ja que estava lliure. L'habitació era espectacular i super còmode, va ser un bon canvi.

Tot ha estat espectacular, només podria dir que la dutxa gairebé no treia aigua calenta.

100% recomendable. La habitación está súper bien y me ofrecieron cambiarme a la que daba al lago por poco dinero más. Todos los trabajadores encantadores :) está muy bien comunicado del centro.

We had an amazing stay! The location, the owners and the room itself were great. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning and loved it. Also the owners were really helpful. They made sure that not only the place where you stayed was great, but also that you got to visit every place where you wanted to go.

Desde el primer momento se preocupó por que todo estuviera bien, y se notaba que realmente le importa que sus huéspedes se sientan a gusto. La habitación superó por mucho nuestras expectativas: decorada con mucho gusto, muy limpia y con unas vistas que te dejan sin palabras. Por la mañana disfrutamos de un desayuno delicioso y muy completo, por un precio súper económico! Además, el ambiente del lugar tiene una energía muy especial. Sin duda, lo recomendaríamos a cualquiera que pase por aquí. ¡Gracias por todo!

We actually stayed at the Rustique Lodge, after receiving a room upgrade from our host. The host was lovely and very accomodating, we received a warm welcome, they offered us very good recommendations of where to eat and what to do in town and arranged us a Tuk-Tuk driver for the day. The Lodge is newly constructed, with a serene view over the lake and a spacious lounge and bedroom. The facilities are great - a comfortable bed, comfy couches and a modern ensuite. The space was clean and well maintained. We had the choice of a Western or Sri Lankan breakfast. We opted for the Sri Lankan breakfast and it was delicious.

Ładny i czysty pokój (koniecznie weźcie opcję z widokiem na jezioro - jest cudownie). Lokalizacja blisko centrum, da się dojść pieszo. Śniadanie były pyszne oraz obfite. Właściciel bardzo miły i pomocny, pomógł nam w odpowiedni sposób zaplanować dzień i zorganizował kierowcę tuktuka, który bardzo się starał pokazać nam jak najwięcej miejsc. Bardzo polecamy to miejsce i jak jeszcze będziemy na Sri Lance to na pewno tu wrócimy :)

Gastgeber Leasly und seine Familie waren unfassbar gutherzig und sehr zuvorkommen. Sie haben uns ein paar Tipps gegeben, wie wir unsere Zeit in Nuwara Eliyah verbringen können. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön eingerichtet, es war sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Da nicht so viel los war, haben wir auch direkt ein Upgrade unseres Zimmers bekommen. In der Nacht war es zwar etwas lauter, aber es wurden Oropax bereitgestellt und spätestens ab 22 Uhr war Ruhe. Es roch zwar etwas feucht, aber das war wirklich dem Wetter geschuldet, Bett und Bettdecke hatten da gar nichts von abbekommen. Das Frühstück war genial, man konnte zwischen normalem europäischen Frühstück und Sri lankischem Frühstück entschieden. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich wärmstens zu empfehlen, man ist mir 10 Min Fußmarsch in der Innenstadt und die Kommunikation mit Leasly war wirklich herausragend. Würde mich immer wieder für das Guesthouse entscheiden :)

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von dem Host mit Tee und Snacks empfangen. Da wir ein Doppelzimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad gebucht hatten, aber die einzigen dort waren, konnten wir für ein kleines Geld zu einem Maisonette-Zimmer mit eigenem Bad upgraden. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und der Ausblick auf den See einfach toll! Der Host war super zuvorkommend und hat uns direkt Tipps & eine Google-Liste für den Ort gegeben sowie eine Fahrt zum Bahnhof organisiert. Das Frühstück war super lecker und vielfältig.

Le personnel est adorable et arrangeant, le petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. La chambre avec la vue sont au top et très confortable.

L'accueil de notre hôte était incroyable. Une personne gentille et très serviable qui nous a donné de très bonnes recommandations et cherche toujours à nous aider (sans attendre en retour ce qui est rare au Sri Lanka).

Comme son nom l'indique, la maison est assez rustique mais c'est un très bon endroit pour un séjour court

チェックイン前からwhatsappでチェックイン時刻の確認等してくれます。もともとシェアwash roomの予約でしたが、6ドル上乗せ(通常より安価)で専用wash roomのレイクビューの部屋にアップグレードしてくれました。 部屋からはヌワラエリヤが一望できます。 水回りも汚くはありませんでした。 ヌワラエリヤ周辺の観光地やレストランがまとまったgoogleマップのリンクを共有してくれるので参考にするとよいです。街中心部に夕食を食べに出る際にはtuktukを手配してくれました(Pick meより安価) 朝食も2種類から選ぶことができ、美味しかったです。

Beautiful place! Amazing location, super clean, great facilities. Host was waiting for us in the rain at 10 PM, super easy to reach on WhatsApp, amazing breakfast in the morning. Upgraded our stay to a nicer room for no extra charge because it was empty! It was our best stay in Sri Lanka. Connected us with a Tuktuk driver (Chandi) for the morning who gave us a tour around which was perfect - went to two tea plantations, two waterfalls, and so many view points. He also called a friend at the train station to verify our train time and ordered take out for us to pick up and take on the train.

Nous avons dormi dans la nouvelle chambre du Rustique lodge et nous avons sincèrement été émerveillés! C’est de loin le meilleur hébergement que nous avons eu lors de notre road trip au Sri Lanka, la chambre est en réalité un petit appartement style chalet de montagne (qui correspond très bien avec l’attitude de Nuwara Eliya), décoré avec beaucoup de goût (bois au sol et sur les murs, beaux tableaux, bons équipements) et le must c’est évidemment la grande baie vitrée dans la chambre avec vue sur les montagnes environnantes et le lac Grégory ! Le petit déjeuner était copieux et délicieux ! Un grand merci à nos hôtes, nous reviendrons ! Chaleureusement, Valentin & Marina

Jeden z najpiękniejszych noclegów na trasie! Zarezerwowaliśmy nocleg w ten sam dzień, ale wszystko zostało dla nas przygotowane. Przepyszne srilankijskie śniadanie. Bardzo miła rodzina i piękny, dobrze urządzony dom. Chciało by się zostać na dłużej!
