Not a major issue but the window in the bedroom with the 2 single beds opens up. May be a concern with younger kids.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026A comfortable flat in a perfect location, overlooking the harbour and close to good cafes, restaurants and the tour boat jetty. There were great views across the water to the hills beyond, especially at dusk. Off street parking was available. The host Carolyn was very responsive to our request for missing consumables and followed up promptly to check that all was well. Good value for money.
The noise from tour buses parked outside with their engines idling was bothersome during the day. The sound insulation from the flats on either side was poor. We could hear clearly people moving around next door and shouting at times. Water glasses in the upstairs bathroom would be helpful. The instructions for the stove oven/grill were not for the right model. Trial and error was necessary until we worked out what to do.

The stairs to the bedroom and bathroom won't be suitable for everyone, but you book knowing this, so I only mention it as information - not a dislike as such. Two of our group have mobility issues, so we just took our time when using the stairs - there is a hand rail to assist.

Reviewed Mar 12, 2025The property is in an excellent location with amazing views across from the lakefront and easy walking to cafes and restaurants. The supermarket is about a 15 min walk. The two level townhouse (on first and second floors) is comfortable, clean and spacious. The kitchen has all you need, there is a washer and dryer and the bathroom has good water pressure. The bed was super comfy with the best view - I enjoyed sitting in bed with a cup of tea and soaking up the gorgeous lake view. The wifi is good and the tv has Netflix and NZ streaming channels. The hostess is easy to communicate with, I found her to be kind, friendly and generous.
