Reviewed Aug 17, 2026I have been a loyal customer at Popsy's Guesthouse for two years, but my latest stay completely erased any goodwill they’ve earned. The moment their star staff member, Kgotso, goes on leave, the whole place collapses into absolute incompetence. We were subjected to freezing cold showers in bitter cold weather. I explicitly reported the issue to Mpho, who gave me a useless acknowledgement and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing. Hours later, my wife was still forced to shower in ice-cold water. To make matters worse, staff showed zero accountability and zero remorse. Charging full price for a biohazard level of neglect that risks making guests sick is an absolute rip-off. Pathetic management—do not waste your money here

There wasn't enough hot water in the morning. Some people in my group went on excursions without taking a bath. It was an extremely cold weekend in Johannesburg. This happened all the 3 days we were there.
