Great location, great hosts and a great breakfast. All clean and comfortable. Electric car charging on site which was an added bonus.
Nothing not to like.
Accoglienti e colazione molto buona.
Comfortable and charming rooms. Friendly, very helpful and welcoming staff. Amazing quality food.
Food was very good. Lovely comfortable and well-equipped room. Nice friendly staff.
What a gem! The location is stunning with beautiful countryside all around you. The staff were so lovely. The food was excellent and the room was gorgeous!
We booked one night here in July after a (long!) day at Longleat as we were just looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep without facing a long drive. We ended up wishing we'd booked longer! The inn was fantastic from start to finish. Our host was friendly and very accommodating (we arrived a little later than planned) and made us feel very welcome. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable and there were lots of little touches (nice tea/coffee facilities, fresh milk and cold water/juice in our fridge and powerful fans which we really appreciated given the heatwave!) We didn't eat at the inn in the evening, so can't comment on dinner, but breakfast was fantastic (great selection and high quality) - it set us up perfectly for the day. It's also only a short drive from Stonehenge and we would love to come back and spend longer exploring the area - it's on the list for next year's road trip!
Everything was top notch !
Excellent breakfast as always.
Just a suggestion it would be nice to have some yogurt available at breakfast to go with the Granola/Muesli
Lovely place, quiet area. We had a nice spacious room and our pup received an extra gift ❤️
Check out at 10am
It was very clean and tidy and had a few complimentary drinks and milk in the fridge.
All was delightful
Small, friendly pub with great food set in beautiful countryside and with a lovely garden, made very characterful with an extremely well kept and attractive vegetable garden as well as a beautiful tree. The rooms are brilliant; modern, large bed comfortable bed, great shower and a fridge with milk, juice and coffee/tea. Everything catered for. Best of all were the wonderfully friendly staff who made us feel welcomed and looked after the whole weekend. Also close to Frome and Bath.
Only that I wish the windows opened wider as the weather was so hot. Otherwise no bad points at all.
The location was good. It is a beautiful old building that has been restored to a high standard with a lovely outside area.
There was no airflow in the bedroom and you couldn’t open the window fully to improve this. The extreme heat in the room made it impossible to sleep. The tv didn’t work because of poor signal and pixelated after minutes even when reset.

Location was wonderful in a little hamlet off the beaten track wit h distant views to the White Horse Large well kept garden and terrace in the rear of the property. We have recommended to friends who have a dog (even though we don't have one) and they are going to book a stay as a a very dog friendly place. Staff were lovely and one even kindly produced a hay fever tablet for our Granddaughter who was suffering quite badly for which she was grateful.
Our only negative was the bathroom door which was a wooden sliding one and didn't close properly as it appeared to be off it's track. Ok for couples maybe but not for friends sharing a room. I'm sure it would be easy to adapt or change.
breakfast was great good choice which you chose the night before and the time so was all fresh and hot
Beautiful pub, renovated to a high standard with a gorgeous, sunny garden. Our room was great size-wise ( I also loved the mini fridge!) and the facilities were clean and felt pleasantly boujie! The homemade cookies in the room as well as fresh milk, juice and bottled water were great and the fan came in very handy as it was so hot! Breakfast was delicious both days (Full English and a cheeky freshly-baked croissant from the excellent breakfast buffet selection) and we had dinner there one evening as well. The tandoori lamb steak was divine and the fish and chips were also excellent. The staff were all very friendly and extremely accommodating - serving both breakfast and dinner in the garden at our request. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.
My only note would be that the mattress was a bit too soft and I would have liked a shelf for my products in the shower.
Superb breakfast idyllic location
Quite thin walls between the rooms tv reception not great
Good food and lovely staff. Ideal location for Longleat.
Bathroom door could do with providing more privacy.
A tiny lovely inn with all the comfort located in the countryside with a beautiful garden
The Full Moon is a friendly, welcoming pub, with superb rooms and top-notch food. We can highly recommend it.
Clean, comfortable, well equipped, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast
Best bacon rollI have had.Good choice

Absolutely stunning inside! So comfortable and decorated to a very high standard! Food is excellent especially breakfast!!!! Staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for you!
The room was uncomfortably hot! Yes I know it’s summer and we don’t get many hot days in the UK but it unfortunately meant two sleepless nights unfortunately! 😞
The food was amazing especially the breakfasts ! Staff very friendly and attentive. Lovely room comfy bed and roomy shower Nice little garden to chill in .
Leaving !
Quiet location. Great Breakfast. Nice friendly & engaging staff.
We were only there overnight so it time to dislike anything!
Excellent freshly cooked breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for our host. First Class!
Nothing
Location, staff, food and accommodation.
Stairs but only because I'm disabled and find any stairs difficult.
A full English breakfast of the finest ingredients, nicely cooked and very well presented. The owners were helpful polite and engaging. We will be repeating our guest on the future.
Nothing that we can think of.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities in the room , including fridge, were good and the inn is dog friendly. Breakfast was good with lots of choice; evening meal also good. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean and well-appointed. Room 1 more spacious and good for dog - we brought a crate for him. Locals use the pub so that's always a good sign. Garden area very handy with dog
Nothing really. Steps to rooms a bit steep but well carpeted with handrail.
The staff were amazing. We were made to feel really welcome. The quality of food was excellent. The bar area had a very nice atmosphere
The only minor thing I think could be improved was the pillows, they were too soft but that could just be personal choice
Great selection Freshly prepared

Excavation breakfast. Very friendly staff
Beautiful clean room with lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
Fantastic place. Staff couldn't be more accommodating. Able to check in early. Room was Fantastic. Clean tidy. And in the morning breakfast was superb. Staff all lovely. Will definitely be back.
No issues
Breakfast was very good - variations no problem. But Restaurant menu was limited; a couple more choices would help.
TV signal was lousy! Not that we're addicted to the TV, but just that choice was very limited.
Bed was awful and broken
The Full Moon was just so easy, from the moment you walked in the welcome was so friendly, the rooms had everything you needed, you didn't have to ask anyone for anything, it was all just self explanatory, we loved the attention to detail( full length mirror, hot water bottles, home- made shortbread, bottle of creamy milk in the fridge & personal branding of everything in the room) we booked a table for dinner and the food and drinks were delicious, the atmosphere in the pub was buzzy, nice friendly locals and dog friendly we even bought our dog home some delicious treats purchased from the bar...we were so impressed...and the breakfast the following morning was so tasty....Well Done Full Moon, Rudge for us you have set a bench mark as how things should be done...we had an amazing stay...Thank you!!

Fabulous, lovely comfortable rooms, everything you could need, great food, staff are great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was Fabulous, fresh, great quality, hot and tasty. Highly recommended.
Just one snag, the bathroom door, its a slider and has about 6 inch gap when closed, so no sound proofing when using the facilities. 😬
Charming and very cosy
Bed wasn’t to my comfort
Lovely little quiet location, comfy room and amazing facilities

Very stylish, fresh and clean
Bar closed at 10.00 even for residents, no alternative lounge area
Very cosy pub with friendly staff and good food.
The bar closed at 9pm and was locked and there was no other space to sit down and relax and get a drink, so we had to retire to our bedroom then. Need to provide some facility as we were away for a break not an early night.
It was a great stay, and I would have stayed longer had I known how good it was. The bar and restaurant were lovely, the room was great, and the staff wonderful. I particularly appreciated how un-pretentious and genuine it is. Had a lovely time.
The property was very clean and had everything for our stay!

Warm friendly welcome. Nothing too much trouble when requested things.
More vegatarian and small plate options on main menu.
Every comfort was provided for. The choice at breakfast would have exceeded a 5 star hotel. Every member of staff made us welcome
Nothing
Location was nice and quiet but close enough to everything needed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional. Zero issues with cleanliness.
Small selection of evening meals on menu. I opted to eat elsewhere as I didn't want any of the options available, although this was not an issue as there were plenty of places local to pick from.
Very comfortable throughout - tastefully decorated All the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly Nothing not to like!
Not even a minor quibble to comment on
Amazing stay at the full moon, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, fantastic vibe throughout the pub! Room was beautiful and comfortable, they really had thought of everything. Great meal in the bar that evening and a cracking full English in the morning! The atmosphere really makes the place. There’s a great feeling that everyone enjoys working there and makes you feel very welcome, we shall definitely be coming back, thanks for a great stay
Das Frühstück war aussergewöhnlich gut und liebevoll und individuell zubereitet. Allen Wünschen wurde nachgegangen.
Good communication with owners beforehand and on arrival. Very welcoming on arrival. Lovely attention to detail in the room - it’s the little touches. Richard was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent.
Lovely pub and quiet location.

Great breakfast (both quantity and quality). Really friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere in the pub. Plenty of parking. Good coffee in room. Fridge in room was handy.
Breakfast excellent
Good pub food, great breakfast. The room was nicely decorated and furnished. Good size bed. Nice welcome tray with drinks and biscuits - also for the dog! Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice friendly and cosy bar area. The garden is beautiful. Very dog friendly.
Unfortunately the sprung mattress was a bit squeaky.
We had to leave at 8am for our VIP experience at Longleat, we explained this to the staff on check in and she was very accommodating and told us they could do us a takeout and it was ready and fresh for when we needed this so was amazing customer service.
Nothing. It was perfect for us in every way.
Everything , really nice places , staff where amazing and the food was to die for , really impressed with this find and will definitely be back again 👌
Nothing
Beautiful character property. Excellent food. Lovely staff.
Radiator in bathroom iffy.
attention to detail superb, home made biscuits, hot water bottles and fresh orange juice in the fridge.
TV reception poor at times
BREAKFAST AND BEDROOM WAS EXCELLENT. GOOD QUALITY FOR BOTH, AND VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. NICE ATMOSPHERIC BAR IN THE EVENING. EXCELLENT FOH STAFF.
WE WEREN'T ADVISED THAT THERE IS NO RESTAURANT OPEN ON A TUESDAY. THE HOTEL IS IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE SO THIS WASNT CONVENIENT.
Very comfortable room and friendly staff.
TV didn’t work Our breakfast order, despite having given our ordered in advance, took 45 mins and other diners who came into the breakfast area after us appeared to receive their orders before we got ours. That said, the breakfast was really good.
Welcoming ,comfortable country pub . Stylishly decorated but felt homey . Food was excellent . Lots of attention to small details.
Really cosy country pub, lovely feel really welcoming and great staff
Lovely warm room and additional extras- very thoughtful. The evening meal was lovely. The most enjoyable meal I have had in a restaurant for a while.
Nothing- it was all good
The room was a really good size for the price, and the fixtures and fittings of a good quality. The food was amazing too for what we paid too!
We weren't too keen on the sliding door to the ensuite, and the open-ended shower cubicle.
Situated in a small village, we had a comfortable, warm, modern room with all facilities. Meals in the bar were vrey good too.
Lovely property, lots of character, very clean and very friendly and helpful people. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
Lovely staff. Good location for our visit and the bar area is cosy and warm
Breakfast was ok but sausages seemed strange!
I don’t usually write reviews, but this hotel surpassed my expectations! It’s beautiful, cosy, the staff are nice really helpful and so so lovely! The little presents in the room were so special! And to actually stay somewhere with a fridge (for my medications) is a god send!
Nothing!
We visited as a family and reserved 4 rooms for one night as we wanted a hotel near Longleat. The staff were excellent and attentive. We had reserved a table for lunch on arrival day. The food was plentiful and fairly priced. The rooms were all comfortable and warm and breakfast in the morning was superb. Can't fault it. Well done the staff and facilities.
Frankly nothing. The staff went out of their way to meet all our requirements.
Excellent location, welcoming, friendly and comfortable
Everything
Loved everything about it. Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast and welcoming friendly staff. We ate here in the evening as well and couldn’t fault it. Ideal location for a visit to Stonehenge and Longleat. Overall a wonderful find which we will happily return to in the future
Nothing
Position, friendly staff and good breakfast
Rooms as annexe to pub and a bit overpriced
Perfectly situated for Longleat in a quiet village. Well appointed rooms, clean and some nice touches. Local food and friendly staff.
Very little. Walls a little thin so could hear our neighbours, but that could have been them being noisy. That said it didn't really disturb us...
We absolutely loved this inn. We stayed on a Thursday evening and it was fairly busy. It must be very popular. The hosts were fab and the food was excellent. We have a few more Somerset visits to do and we’ve already planned to return. Our room was one of the most comfortable rooms we’ve stayed in. Our dog was made welcome too.
We have no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend
Lovely property , everything needed plus little extras making a very comfortable stay
The property was very clean, the rooms were nicely designed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious!
Only slight thing would be the mattress was not very supportive for myself but this is down to preference as my partner didn’t have a problem with it.
