Well appointed, comfortable room in a perfect location for city centre venues. Excellent shower and good blackout curtains.

The constant hum from the ventilation system in the bathroom, a bit like in a cabin on a ship, was annoying.

The bed was one of the most comfortable ever! The service was exceptional and the location fabulous. And of course, the amazing food!

Reception staff he was cold couldn’t even smile He just did the necessary We had a pushchair he didn’t even bother telling us there were stairs ahead No one answered the phone when we called reception even though in the room it says call reception if you have an emergency Luckily it wasnt an emergency!

Ace location in the city centre. Super clean bathroom. Very comfortable, Superking bed. Quiet despite being in the middle of town. Midday checkout was a bonus.

Very little to criticise apart from maybe we would’ve booked breakfast if it didn’t finish so early on a weekend (10am).

The socket was on one side of the bed and the table on the other, i think it was a bad layout as it was at up in a twin format

The windows can’t be open and the room lacks fresh air and has a lot of dust flying in the air. Would be great to open the window. We have a baby and using the conditioner all the time wasn’t great.

Our room wasn't serviced after the first night. We flagged this to Reception and we were assured it would be done but, on returning late that evening, it still hadn't been done. We had to find a member of staff the next morning, to ask for clean towels, before we could shower.

Lovely meal in restaurant, followed by very friendly welcome by all staff, in superb surroundings. The room was very smart, clean and contemporary. Location couldn't be better, being close to the theatre district and the greater city centre.

Location was perfect for us. Just a stone throw from the Lyceum and Cruicible theatre and the Miller & Carter restaurant within the hotel, where the fabulous breakfast was served. We also booked our evening meal at M&C. The food both evening meal and breakfast were of very high standard and all staff very professional and polite and friendly. Our evening waiter George, was great.

Very small bedroom - but only stayed one night, window so high couldn't see out of it, however no view as it was the back of the hotel, guessing bin area. The room we had was on floor 1, old building so had to go down steps withing the same floor. Our bathroom in our room was up several steps, so not ideal. I will still def book again, but ask if there is a room with a bathroom on the same level as the bedroom. - we had a great stay

Die Lage war super, das Zimmer gemütlich.

Leider war mein Zimmer relativ dunkel, aber ich war nur selten im Zimmer, folglich war es ok.

Even though the heatwave was full on there was still a smell of damp. The room had very little light which wasn’t a problem for our one night stay but, would have been irritating for a longer stay

Great location, family room available, above the restaurant which was great and no noise from the diners or city centre.

The bathroom had a fusty smell, the bed linen was worn, frayed and threadbare. The air con didn’t work very well and with four people in a room it was hot.

The location is perfect with the extremely nice restaurant it is a beautiful setting and building in Sheffield town centre which means you can get to anywhere in town in minutes on foot. I would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to stay here the price is decent aswell.

There’s nothing I can think of that springs to mind that would make me think of anything negative to say which is quite rare when staying in hotels, but everything is lovely in there I have stayed multiple times and will continue to do so!

The staff at the check in was very friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, good shower too! And although it is in the middle of the centre, it was really quiet during the night.

Nothing! We had a good stay there… if they could start the breakfast at 6.30, it would have been good because we had to check out at 7.15am, so we had breakfast from supermarket.

Everything Location ,access to shops station, staff were great 👍 easy to get to places of interest using public transport trams buses trains. Will definitely stay at Miller&Carter next time we in Sheffield.

Lovley clean room. The staff are very freindly and helpful. We stayed the night before taking a long train journey with an early start- it's just a short 10 minute walk to the railway station.

First of all; the room provided had a window which did not open at all, not even a crack. Upon entering the room you feel a musty, mold-y smell, and it quickly becomes clear that the room has not had fresh air in years. Had it been made clear, I would have never booked the room. There is AC in the room which gets turned off by housekeeping, so on a 30C day you come back in the evening to a boiling room without an openable window. The interiors are tired, not dirty but visibly used up. The restaurant is OK but for some reason I thought this would be a premium experience, and it’s more akin to weatherspoons.

Everything about this hotel is fab. Great location, fab staff. Very comfortable and great value. The food in the restaurant was beautiful. The area has been wonderfully regenerated and there are some great local eateries too.

Easy check-in through the restaurant, room had great air con and a fantastic shower. Bed was comfy, everything was clean and the location was great - very central and a short (uphill) walk from the train station. Check out was also really easy, done online with a box for keycard drop off

The door to my room was difficult to push open.

Very central. Super quiet Well appointed. Clean. USB A and C sockets next to the bed and on the table. Hot, brilliant shower. Brilliant AC. Shouldn’t be this good. But it was. Do not let the idea that it’s attached to a restaurant put you off, it has nothing to do with the hotel.

Bed was comfortable but small. The room was clean.

It’s tricky to get to your room. Entrance is through the restaurant initially. You then take your bags up stairs through 2 doors to the lift. Up the lift then through 2 more doors then down more stairs. It was annoying. There was a funny smell in the hallway and our room. Got used to when you were in the room but when you came back it wasn’t good. And no I didn’t mention it as what could be done? No face cloths/wash cloths. No parking at the hotel which we did know in advance. The closest parking building recommended by the hotel was close but 2 nights cost us £50.

The front desk is actually the restaurant. So the hotel is kind of a side offering. No lobby.

The breakfast was excellent, we were very impressed, The rooms had air conditioning and were a very comfortable temperature and very clean and well presented.

Musty / damp smell in the room despite leaving air conditioning on all the time. Luckily I only slept in the room as busy all day and evenings but really needs improving . Unable to open window even a little bit which didn’t help. Spent a long time on arrival prolong door open to corridor (ventilated and not having same smell)

Right in the heart of the city, the location is second to none. The staff where all helpful and pleasant to be around. The restaurant is top quality too.

Can't really pick any faults. I looked hard and yet there is nothing to find. The view I had was the back of the building, but that wasn't a problem.

The staff were friendly. The location couldn’t be better. The place was great value and exceeded our expectations. Annoying it doesn’t have parking but it’s in the centre of the city so not an issue as there is parking very near by.

The only negative was paying for parking but as you have to in all city centres. The car park was very close.

The location is great. The Miller & Carter staff running check in were ace, and the restaurant was great, including outstanding service.

The room was tiny - like, London hotel room tiny - the bed uncomfortable, and there was nothing comfortable about the room. Nowhere for women to apply make-up, no bottled water, poorly stocked tea/coffee, no occasional seating... It felt like a VERY basic, functional business hotel, but it's located in the heart of Sheffield's theatre and restaurant-land, described as 'romantic' and priced very much for leisure and pleasure. I found it confusing.
