Charleroi Brussels Airport White Castle

Nothing, we packed our bags and left the same day and didn’t even bother chasing up a full refund because they’re not worth the energy

Our stay at White Castle Charleroi started politely, but deteriorated. A room advertised with a fan because it had no air conditioning, and when we arrived we requested one and no fan was provided at first and when pressed to they provided one but a member of staff was really rude. While we were out at dinner in Brussels, a staff member called. It became clear he had entered our room without consent, making offensive comments about our prayer mats that he had seen in the room, and said, “This is not a mosque.” Racist remarks were directed towards both of us, and we were told to “f off.” When we tried to contact the helpful staff member we’d spoken to earlier, the owner of the White Restaurant which is next door and affiliated with them answered instead. Rather than helping, he appeared to support the behaviour, was hostile towards us, and threatened to call the police despite us doing nothing wrong. We no longer felt safe staying and had to leave, cancel the reservation, and collect our belongings. This review is not about a fan. It is about being made to feel unsafe due to our religion. Every guest deserves dignity and respect, and based on our experience, we cannot recommend staying here. oh and if you’re travelling and they give you a room in second 1 or 2, they don’t have a lift so carrying luggage up the stairs was not ideal.

Wij moesten 1 nachtje door brengen omdat we via brussel CH moesten vliegen naar albanie was goed geregeld zelf inchecken makkelijk parkeren.

Alles in orde

We unexpectedly found ourselves nearby with nowhere to stay. Booked and was sent the details within minutes. Upon messaging about small things we were contacted and these were resolved quickly. Safe secure. No issues. We had no issues with it being clean. Everything was clean and spotless. Accommodating. Coffee available. Towels. Was a life saver with small children too in a unfamiliar environment. Work going on downstairs but we never heard anything other than when leaving the building. Fab stay would stay again if nearby

Somewhere to put the rubbish? Small bin? Kettle maybe as we didn't all like coffee Small things

Despite it's name it is not close to the airport and there is no public transport connection, so it's either a costly transfer via the hotel or an uber. The only food option we found nearby at night was a burger joint down the road.

the bathroom..

very unfriendly and unsafe neighborhood , no taxi will take U there . they have a transfer service for normal taxi fee, very slow.. U have to call them in advance to use it No AC!!

Near by airport

Booked a Deluxe Room – received a Standard Room and was treated very disrespectfully We booked and received confirmation for a Deluxe Room through Booking.com, but were given a Standard Double Room instead. No alternative room was ever offered to us, and we certainly never agreed to a change. The check-in process is basically a room number and access code, so we only discovered the room type after entering the room. When we contacted the accommodation to ask what had happened, the staff member confirmed that we had been given a Standard Room. He claimed Booking.com had made a mistake, but became extremely rude and aggressive when I explained that our confirmation clearly stated Deluxe Room. He told me there was nothing he could do and that I could leave if I didn't like the room, then used inappropriate language in French and hung up. We immediately contacted Booking.com. The accommodation initially claimed that we had received the room we booked. When that was challenged, they then claimed that we had accepted an alternative room. This is completely untrue. No alternative was offered, discussed or accepted. Booking.com is currently investigating our complaint. The accommodation has refused to provide a refund or any other satisfactory solution. Mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable: wrong room, no attempt to resolve the issue, extremely disrespectful communication, and contradictory claims about what actually happened. We would not consider this ever again and cannot recommend this accommodation.

L'emplacement

Nice and convenient bathroom, 2 available bottles of water. Easy instructions for check in.

Dirty all over, dirty backyard, dirty bedsheets, no coffee capsules available, small space in the room, fridge didn’t cold properly, no flip flops available, so much noise from the road.

Good location for the airport Comfortable bed

No coffee, no light bulbs in bedside lamp, shower not working properly. No door to the bathroom (including toilet) which particularly for a triple room meant there was no privacy. When the sofa bed was converted to a bed, it blocked the entrance to the bathroom. No staff on site, no response from staff on booking.com messaging

Nice design

A bedroom with no curtains is unacceptable. Couldn’t sleep at all. 5big windows with no curtains

Baie spațioasă, moderna si foarte frumos decorata, curata Camera curata, bine intretinuta

The staff was extremely helpful. Totally recommend the place for stay.

alles voll automatisch niemand vor Ort

Great bed, excellent facilities, location and good snack restaurant 200 metres away.

All was well.

We found bedbugs while we were sleeping. The manager change our bedroom but the second one had bedbugs too. He change again to a third bedroom and it was ok but we were afraid and didn’t want to turn off the lights so we couldn’t sleep. Also at the moment that we arrived we ask for book the transfer to the airport and the taxi never came. Fortunately we found an uber y could get to the airport

Schoon, bed was fijn. Parkeren was makkelijk

Blisko lotniska, Parking, wygodne łóżko, przestronna łazienka

Brak szklanek, talerzy, sztuccy.

Experiencia nefasta

Au top à tout niveau ! Merci beaucoup à vous pour ce séjour. Chambre plus que magnifique

Hulpzaam en konden eerder inchecken
